No Place to Hide (Rocking Racers, #2)No Place to Hide by Megan Lowe
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

No Place to Hide is the second book in the Rocking Racers series and entwines the lives of Cole and McKinley as kids they were best friends until something happened and overnight they both lost each other at the age of five. Will a chance meeting again have the sparks flying again.

Cole and McKinley have known each other since they were five years old living across the road from each other. They went everywhere together and was the best of friends, he was her escape when her parents were arguing until one day he vanishes and she feels abandoned.

Kinley lost her best friend overnight and her mother has always blames Cole and his father for the break of her family. Although at such a young age she has believed the bitterness which her mother has forced upon her so when a chance meeting at a gala, can Mcknley missing the I forgive him enough to get to know the man he is now.

Cole is now a riding sensation, he is the champion at SuperMoto and is now signed with Ryan Racing. He is at the gala for Ryan racing sponsors and his eyes are instantly drawn to her, the girl he has not seen in years but still has feelings for. But will they be able to be more than friends, him the hot racer and her the rock star.

The story continues with how the two of them resolve the past history and become an item, although they have elements against them with a mother/manager who is determined to break them up but once Cole takes her to Booker to meet his adoptive family they become stronger within the relationship. I loved the characters within this book, you are willing these two characters to love each other and I was screaming at the ereader with some of the schemes they have to fight against. This is the second book I have read by this author and enjoy the style of writing, you feel like these characters become your friends and can’t wait for the next book in this series.

No Place to Hide (Rocking Racers, #2) by Megan Lowe – Review by Jenni Bishop

No Place to Hide (Rocking Racers, #2)No Place to Hide by Megan Lowe
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

No Place to hide is the second book in the Rocking Racers series by Megan Lowe. It can read as a standalone but I would read them in the order they are written so you don’t miss out on the background of the other characters. You will fall in love with each one of the characters from both stories as they are well developed and they have a background you can relate to. This story is more than romance, it is about two people trying to find themselves and finding that connection that makes them feel whole but can that happen when you are continually pulled in different directions.   The events that went on with the separation between her parents, have left McKnley hardened and hateful. Over twenty years have passed since the one person, your best friend was whisked away without a word, now he stands before you unexpectedly. They never got to say goodbye, but what is there to say? He ruined her life? Being in the limelight isn’t easy when you are the bad girl of a famous rock n roll band, McKnley has everything she wants but at the same time she is empty, she wants more. All she wants is to be true to herself.

Cole has finally signed on by Ryan Racing as a professional bike rider. Riding his bike and having the Ryans as his family and believing in him and having his back, just goes to prove dreams can come true. Coming face to face again with the girl from his past, McKnley Rhoades is even better. Can Cole convince McKnley that he is not responsible for ruining her family? Can he convince her he is a good guy and worthy of her friendship and possibly more?

This book is about complicated relationships with family. It shows you that love is worth the fight if only you can let go of and break free of the past. It shows you that family does not always have to be blood but that it can be who you chose. I have fallen in love with the characters in this series and can not wait to see what Megan has in store for them next.
