Every time I think a book in this series is my favorite, the next book I pick up is even better!! Out of the 3 I’ve read so far…this one is my favorite! The other 2 are great, but this one captivated me. I feel like I learn something new in each one! And if I can get sucked into a book just from the first few sentences, you know it’s good! And the sea otter rescue? OBSESSED! I love otters!!!! Please read this! So so good.

This may be my favorite of the series! I have loved the other three, but reading about and getting to know Alice more was wonderful! Alice is back in Buckeye Falls and living with her parents after a breakup. She has a partime job at the library and works some for her sister in law, but she is still living at home and not sure what to do next. James is a big shot artist from New York who decided to leave the city and move to the small town after his divorce. He has not been painting and has not had any creativity until he sees Alice at the library one day. Alice meets James at the town council meeting and propositions him with a fake dating scenario to get the nosy town off her back. He agrees because he wants to spend more time with her. This was a clean romance with all the feels! I loved the characters, I love the setting of the small town, and I finished this book in a day!

Faking the Fall is book #4 in the Buckeye Falls series and it was everything that I love about this series. love, banter, fake dating, meddling townfolk, small town sweet romance and just overall great story. While this book could be read as a standalone I highly recommend reading this series from the beginning to get to know the characters that are in each book.
What can honestly happen with a proposition of “fake dating”….beside maybe getting the gossip crew to back off only having good intentions. Alice is back in Buckeye Falls trying to figure out her next steps in life. Having a reputation to hold up being the mayor’s brother and parents who are busy with town social events…..never thought to meet someone that gives her some spark. James is new to town already embracing his life in Buckeye Falls…but also trying to piece together his life after a divorce and hoping to get a spark of inspiration again in his art. When James meets a green eyed beauty in Alice…the inspiration starts…..When the gossip train comes barreling in…..Alice proposes to James to “fake date”….but what happens when true feelings come into play…….
Definitely read and find out!! You will not be disappointed.

I always get so excited when another book in this series comes out because I’ve loved them all, but I also get a little bit scared that the new one won’t be as good as the last. This book put all those fears to rest instantaneously as it sucked me back into the Hidden Valley Elite world. This one picks up to tell Phoenix and Aspen’s story, and it is not one you want to miss! There is drama, angst, and all the steam that comes together to create the perfect story. The flow is again, flawless, and I am beyond excited to see what the author has in store for us next. Please don’t skip out on this book because you’ll regret it! It’s worth mentioning that this is not a standalone either, so be sure to catch up before going on the adventure with Aspen and Phoenix!

I love this series so much! They’re all so cute and they definitely give me the hallmark feeling! Such a cute cozy read! A lot of tension and some angst in this wonderfully written small town romance! I highly recommend the other books in this series as well! Each book is just as good as the last one! I love Alice and James and I felt like I was there witnessing their story. I can’t wait to read more of Libby’s work! I’m a huge fan! Also, I’m obsessed with every cover of each book! That’s what got me to read the first book and I’ve been hooked ever since!

Another wonderful story in this series! I did not realize who Alice was until I started reading this one. She is a misfit within her family. She doesn’t fit their mold and that is fine with her. No marriage, no grandkids until she see the elusive artist in town. Then she starts thinking and seeing a different future for herself. Watching Alice change and grow and delightful to observe. James is a fun guy who looks at life differently from others. I enjoyed their path to get together.

This contains all three books in the sci-fi thriller Alterations trilogy. The trilogy follows Gigi, Ellen and Lilly in the aftermath of the implantation of a mind-control chip to alter something about themselves. The premise of the storyline was great, I was intrigued and was hooked wanting to see the 3 face the consequences of the chip and whether they would achieve their happily ever afters. The idea behind the chips and how far people would go to change things about themselves was interesting to me. I do think reading the trilogy in this set is the best way to go about it as there were moments (particularly within the second book) which slowed down considerably. I don’t think this was a problem when reading it all together, but don’t think this would have the same impact if reading separately. The author was descriptive, paining vivid imagery of scenes and characters allowing you to step into the story. The writing flowed well, but there were frequent point of view changes. This wasn’t an issue for me as I quite enjoyed seeing things from multiple perspectives and getting to know the characters more, but it is not for everyone. Overall I enjoyed this trilogy, it had a brilliant premise and was engaging and thought-provoking. My main issue would be the pacing previously mentioned, but as a whole this doesn’t detract from my enjoyment reading these books.

This is an amazing series. It is a sci fi Thriller which I was completely invested in. The author’s writing is captivating and kept me engaged from beginning to end.
The first book is Alterations and it follows the story of 3 women and a scientist/doctor. Doctor Kite has found a way to control these women using microchips in their bodies. 1 helps a woman to heal, 1 helps a woman to lose and maintain her weight and the 3rd helps a women overcome the stress of the divorcee. But what happens when these micro chips malfunction? What is the consequences of allowing a foreign object into your body to control an area of your life? Will these Microchips become the most amazing creation ever discovered or will the side effects and consequences when something goes wrong out weight the positives.
Book 2 is called Game Changer. We are back with Gigi, Lilly and Ellen and Dr Kite. All of there lives have moved forward and the women seem to be making their own path in life. Gigi has finally found love with her flatmate but will it last or will something find a way of coming between them? Ellen has finally lost the weight she wanted and she’s done it on her own. Now she’s a single mum after her one night stand with Brad but life’s great she’s changed career and is happy. But what happens when Brad reappears in her life? Lilly can’t forgive Dr Kite for what he did to her and with her hatred for men stronger than ever no one is safe from her attempts to get revenge. And finally we have Dr Kite. After his warehouse burned down he left town and moved somewhere no one knows him. After a while of self pity he meets a woman called Tiffany. Could she be the woman to bring him happiness? Is she all that she seems? And what happens when the Dr decides to play god again with his microchips?
The final book is called Primal Will. This book is just as captivating as the first too. It is fast paced and the twist and turns keep you guessing. As this is the final book we get the answers of what happens with all our characters. Do they get their happy endings? Do they things they thought would make them happy turn out to have the opposite effect? Is Lily pushing because of a need for revenge or is she seeing a business opportunity? And what happens with the man who started all this madness Dr Kite. Is he allowed his happy ending? Is he a good man who thought he was doing something good? Or is he a man who wants to manipulate and control people?
These books have been amazing to read I loved everyone of them.

Faking the Fall is the lovely fourth book in the wonderful Buckeye Falls series. The books can be read as a standalone but start at the beginning anyway. You won’t be disappointed because Libby writing style draws you into the world she has created. We get to reacquaint ourselves with the characters from previous books and the sweet small town and it’s wonderfully fun, nosy, sassy, sweet, quirky, and colourful characters that you just can’t help but fall in love with. Alice is stubborn, wilful, definitely does not play by the rules, is not a push over, and she says what she thinks. She is however pushed to her limits when the residents decide to play Cupid. James is looking for peace and quiet and starting over but his patience is tested when the town rally together and make his life miserable. They decide to fake things and thus the “fun” begins. This charming tale has it all. It is witty, full of banter, a touch angsty, lots of sexual tension, with a bit of spice and will have you laughing. It is a good read to escape reality for a while. If you love small town romances, then this series is a must.

I was shocked when I learned that this is the author’s first book. I cannot recommend it more highly! It is beautifully written and so easy to get lost in. This historical fantasy romance is perfect for curling up on the couch with a blanket and just losing yourself in the pages. The characters are interesting and relatable, and I could not help but be intrigued by Anna’s story with Roger and then Lark. This book does involve mature themes but was not a problem for me. I found that every aspect of the story made the world that much richer in my mind’s eye. You will find a little bit of everything in this book, and I guarantee you will not be disappointed. Get ready to devour!

You and Me Equals Love is another wonderful story by Marina. I have enjoyed each and every book I have read by her. This contemporary romance is a standalone and has everything needed to make it a compelling read.
I love how it was written in the multiple POV because it gives the story that much more meaning and understanding of them as people. It’s so easy for the characters to capture your heart and feel invested in them.
Marina has a way of telling a story that makes if feal real. Her writing transports you into the story and the world she has created. I enjoy her sense of humour that comes through in her words and has me laughing out loud. I have said it before, but I will say it again – Marinas words just click, and I can’t get enough.
It is a fun easy read, a tale of friendships and love, letting go of the past and building trust. It is a story of the heart wants what the heart wants, and it is not always what you would like it to be. I know what it’s like to9 want someone who likes someone else.
There is a lot of sass, intense moments, angst and a little drama and some cute times that makes for some fab reading. The story is a little predictable near the ending, but I still really enjoyed it.
This book is perfect read when needing some much needed “me time”.

This book is a sweet romance story that has a great fake romance as the focus. I really like how this series are all clean and sweet romances as it really makes you focus on the story and the characters. I think the characters in this book are definitely my favourite of the series and the overall book is as good as the others. I thought it was entertaining and I was really engaged with the characters. I wanted everything to work out for the better. The book was really well written. This author seems to have a knack for connecting with the audience and I always enjoy her work. This book was another great addition to this series and I am looking forward to more.

I have to say I was captivated by this story and the characters right from the very start. I think one big reason is that Blake and Morgan are such well written, relatable characters that they immediately draw you in and hold you captive. Ciara is a sassy little pocket rocket and I loved her too! This is the first book I have read by this talented author and it most definitely won’t be my last. I started this series with book 2 but in no way was my reading experience hinder by that. I will of course now be reading book 1 simply because this author now has a new fan and I want to read all that I can.

Notebook Mysteries ~ A Party to Remember was such a great an easy read to fall into! My last book was super deep and dark and this was exactly what I needed. I was not aware that it was a series, but the author did a wonderful job introducing all the characters in such a way that I was able to keep up but I feel would not have been redundant to those who did not jump right into the middle. A definite page turner, I was captivated all the way from cover to cover. Would definitely recommend!

Sins of the Father: The McIntire County Series: #3 WHOA! Loved this book! I was hooked from the first book and was so excited to see how the author was going to keep the series going. The world building is great and I love how it continues to build on the previous books, but yet i don’t think you really need to read them to be able to follow along, which is great if you’re jumping into the series with this book. Onto book 4!!

Morgan is a divorced father with a nine year old daughter. He runs a protective service that trains bodyguards. His bodyguards are out protecting others. When his ex shows up with her entourage to visit, his hackles go up and he becomes very protective. But will that be enough? Blake is a school teacher. But without a job. She must take all she can get. Becoming a nanny for Morgan’s daughter will only be temporary, or is it? This is another new author for me. My list seems to be growing. But this is one story I am so happy I took a chance on. It has it all, action, twists and turns as well as romance. The characters are perfect for their parts. I must say Ciara is a smart 9 year old. She is sure to let everybody in this story know it, including her mother. The story is well written and with plenty of angst. I love this series, I hope you will too. Now it is time to look for more from this author.

I cannot describe how amazing this book is! The beginning was the perfect setup to meet the main character Cam (a man of many names). He has been working under a pirate crew since his mom was killed. After taking a dangerous mission he instead finds himself waking up with new powers of flame. He must now try to save his crew from the hands of an evil doctor.
I absolutely love both Cam and Annie! Cam is a kick ass pirate that is trying to the best he can in his life. Annie has been forced to endure horrible acts by her adoptive father. The plot continues to thicken and comes to life with many twists and turns as we discover more about the key players on the island and their true intentions. Get ready to trust no one!
This book is full of suspense, mystery, and great world building! I am anxiously awaiting the next book in this series.

Wild Lavender is the first book in the Heart & Hand series. It’s a beautiful historical fantasy romance with a heroine who resists society’s expectations of her. Adventurous and inquisitive Lady Aubrianne is an enjoyable character, and her love of horses will make her particularly appeal to animal fans out there!
There is, of course, a strong romance story in this book established from the outset where a chance encounter brings Larkin and Aubrianne into each other’s lives. But there is also plenty of action and mystery adding layers to the story!
There are plenty of great characters in this book! One of my favourites is Gilles, the stablemaster. It takes time for Aubrianne to win his trust, but as she and we get to know him he definitely grew on me!
This book gets five stars from me, and I’m keen to read more of the series. I would recommend it to fans of mediaeval fantasy romance, particularly if you love horses!

This little novella from one of my favourite series just put me in the right mood and now I’m so ready for Christmas season to arrive. It’s October, surely the festive season has already started?! Plus spooky season means it’s perfect timing for a little suspense and mystery and intrigue, which the author delivers in spades, per usual. It’s so nice to fall back into what has become a comfort series for me every few months, thanks to the historical aspect and the generally cosy vibes. Can be read standalone, but the whole series is not to be missed!

Jolie Murdock is a new deputy in the Eider Police department following in the footsteps of her cousins can she make this her home and find the confidence she has been lacking over the past years. When she is given the disappearance of a missing girl, she goes about trying to find her but when she stumbles across the body of the missing girls father, can she solve the murder, find the girl and help a friend out without losing herself in the process?
Xavier decided to come to Eider to banish old wounds but when he is found over the dead body of the missing girl’s father with no memory of how he has got there, it’s up to him and Jolie to pick through his memory to discover what happened. As Jolie and Xavier investigate the murder more secrets and similarities come out of the woodwork and although Xavier and Jolie are saw her did not kill anyone there is still a doubt in Xavier’s head.
This is the third book in this series, and we shift from the characters in the first two books to a whole new heroine, Jolie at the beginning is trying to find herself and is feeling like she can’t do her job but when she stumbles into a murder her confidence starts to pick up and you see the drive in her to do justice for the victim and the missing girl.
Xavier’s character is interesting, and I love that he is flawed but has the courage to trust that Jolie will get to the bottom of blackout and trust that he is not the murderer, with his history of the military you have a small glimpse into his hurt and brokenness from his service and the horrific injuries he sustained. The secondary characters as always adds to flow and overall enjoyment of the story, with the fasted pace action and uncovering the secrets and thrilling twists and turns this is another winner in my eyes. Thank you, Winter, and hope to read book 4 in the future.

A secret identity. A world of lies. A forbidden love.
When a solo vehicle crash off Hangman’s Bend results in the death of a mysterious stranger, Tang Young is crippled by writer’s block and a guilt she can’t confess to anyone, especially not her live-in girlfriend, Layla. But once the stranger is identified, what other truths will be revealed?
This was an amazing book and it was hard to put down. I finished the entire book in a day.
This book is a continuation of Phoenix’s story. There was a major accident that left him without a lot of his memories. Most importantly he forgot about his baby and the woman he knocked up. While he might not remember everyone around him does.
To make matters worse nothing is harder than waking up and not recognizing your own body and who you are now. Phoenix is not used to being calm and not going all out and giving everything his all. Doctors say one thing but sometimes it’s not what you might want to hear.
What happens when you fall for the man with whom you have a love-hate relationship? Will he ever remember that he has a child that is due to entire the world in a few short months? What happens when old family secrets and lies come out at once? Will he push his recovery too hard and lose everything?
Read this book to find out what happens with Phoenix. Will he forever be missing years of his life or will he recover?

Beyond Friendship is the third book in The Irresistible series by Marlyn Love. This is the first book that I have read by Ms. Love, so I really didn’t know what to expect from one of her stories. But the blurb intrigued me, and the beautiful cover sealed the deal- so I snapped up a copy and set off to explore. I have come into this series a little backwards as I didn’t realise that this was the third book in the series when I one-clicked- thankfully it can be read as a standalone. But having said that, I now have a taste for Ms. Love’s writing, and am intrigued by the cast of supporting characters- so I will definitely be going back to read the first two books before continuing on with the series. This is a beautiful, emotional, angsty, memorable, friends-to-lovers romance… with a brother’s-best-friend/best-friend’s-sister element, chemistry, connection, family, drama, secrets, fate, challenges, and more. Brian and Amanda were perfect for each other. Fate knew it, they knew it- but they kept dancing around each other for a few years… until one night changes everything- and they take a chance on love. Looking forward to the rest of the series! Happy Reading…

This author adds another thrilling addition to the series. These sweet romances are deceptive thrillers with killer instincts.
Hannah Patel is a Public Defender. She isn’t doing it for the clout or the politics, definitely not for the money, Hannah is a PD because she feels that everyone deserves a good defense. It has been a rough patch for Hannah. Her family is still grieving the loss of her brother about a year ago, she was punched in open court when a decision didn’t go the way her client thought it should, she had a panic attack in front of a well respected judge, and her stalker left an even more threatening note on her car this morning.
Doyle Murphy, Special Victims Unit Detective, is on sabbatical, trying to decide what he wants to do with his life. After a phone call from a friend, Doyle talks to Hannah about the notes that the stalker has been leaving her. Doyle starts to feel alive again. It has been awhile since he has done police work and his need to protect Hannah is igniting that spark that got doused long ago.
As the stalker starts to escalate, Doyle is slowly unraveling this mystery. But is it soon enough? People in Hannah’s world are getting hurt. All clues are pointing back to her stalker. Is he responsible? It all comes to a fevered pitch when the police arrest someone. But is it the right someone?
The action doesn’t stop. The twists lead to the turns which lead to more twists. This endearing cast of characters seem to be weaving together for something more. Only time will tell! Wonderful series!

Wonderful, beautiful story that spans a few years in the making. Good things take time and this is definitely the story of Brian and Amanda. I loved this book with my every that I have….friendship, drama, secrets, romance and definite roller coaster of emotions with a few tears. This story broke me a bit… I highly recommend this read.
Mr. Batchelor, Brian Fox does not do relationships. He believes he is totally content on being single forever…and forever guarding his heart with high walls that are hard to penetrate. When he meets this beautiful lady at his club, not knowing that he finds out that she is the sister of his best friend. Amanda returns home to Boston to try and make it on her own with her own business of having her own fashion boutique. What Amanda does not expect is to experience the undeniable chemistry between her and Brian from the start. Brian puts on all stops not to date or be in any romantic relationship with Amanda due to her being her best friends sister……..just remaining strictly friends. Years pass and the courage of Brian taking a leap of faith to go beyond that friendship with Amanda forms this beautiful love between them….but Brian cannot let go of a secret that he has been hiding, afraid to being vulnerable….but when a harsh reality of a potential medical issue and loss…..Brian pushes away people that he truly loves especially Amanda. Will grief and sadness overcomes Brian or will the power of love and strength bond Brian and Amanda that will never break….
Definitely read and find out………..this was a fantastic story……

Beyond Friendship pulls at the heat strings. It’s a story of triumphs and tribulations for the characters. The author brings you into a world that everyone is close knit and tight, demonstrating what could happen when 2 people decide to take a risk. Written in a way that keeps the reader intrigued and wanting more. Amanda and Brian have chemistry that’s out of this world but won’t cross that line. Despite Amanda trying to change that Brian has his reasons. Best friend’s sister. A life threatening health condition. Just to name a few. Because of that they tiptoe around their feelings and he keeps her in the “friend zone.” That is until one day when all that changes. Does it work out between them? Not every story is sunshine and roses, and the author captures that brilliantly. Keeping you rooting for them, despite their stubborn behavior. You won’t want to stop reading till the end. I look forward to jumping into other books by this author. And if you are interested in a romance with a figurative wild ride for the characters, this is definitely a book for you! While you check this book out, I’m going to check out books 1 & 2 in there series.
