This book was a quick and easy read! I think it it was a longer length you really could connect more with the characters, but that’s hard in a short story. i think that the authors writing style is fun and smooth and I can’t wait to read some of her longer books to get an even better feel:) if you like a short story, with some office romance, and a little heat than you will love this one.

Office Mistakes is a Christmas office romance by Beth Hale. I hadn’t read anything by Ms. Hale before beginning this book, so I was intrigued by what I might find. I thought the premise of the story was good, but after finishing it I felt that the story really needed to be a little longer in order to have more depth and development. This being a novella really didn’t allow time for me to connect with the characters, so I didn’t invest in them and the story the way I would have liked. I felt that there could have been less time spent on ‘setting the scene’, describing gifts, dinner, rooms etc- as some of that time could have been spent on developing and driving the story, as well as giving the characters more depth. I also thought that some of the language used in describing the sex scenes was a little old fashioned, and to me, there was an awkwardness about them. I felt like they were so short and undescriptive, compared to the rest of the story, that they may as well be left out, close the door completely so-to-speak, better putting that time into building the connection and romance part of the story instead. Descriptions like, “Charlie bucked as she took him into the warm cave of her mouth”, didn’t seem sexy or erotic to me- warm cave? Sorry, but I thought there could have been a thousand other, more descriptive and more enticing and sexy words to be used. But then, it could just be me. I am not an author, and I do appreciate the time, effort, heart, and soul that an author puts into their work- but to be honest, I felt that the author missed an opportunity to make this a really stellar and entirely memorable read. Instead, this story fell short for me.
Sorry, I really did want to love this book much more than I did.

Office Mistakes by Beth Hale. This was a fun short read that I really enjoyed. The characters are well developed and easy to connect with. It’s a short story but that didn’t hinder my enjoyment at all and it was a nice one to read between some of the longer stories I have on my list. This is a first read for me from this author and I’m really excited to what more she has to offer. I liked the writing style and the characters are great. Short stories are sometimes all a reader is needing and this author delivered wonderfully. Four stars and highly recommended.

Office Mistakes is a short, hot and steamy contemporary romance by Beth Hale. It’s the first time I’ve read any of this author’s work but I don’t think that it will be the last as I thoroughly enjoyed this story. I devoured this book in one sitting and although short, the author has managed to pack quite a bit into the story. It’s a great office romance and the story flows along at a quick pace. I loved both of the main characters, Audra and Charlie. Both have been working together for 2 years and have both admired each other from afar and now both are up for the same promotion. So what happens when they hook up together at the office Christmas party? Well, what happens is a great story that kept me hooked from the beginning to the end. I became invested in these characters and wanted to know how things would turn out for them. I was really hoping that they would get the HEA that they deserved. Did they? Well, I’m not going to give away that spoiler. If you want to know how their story turns out then I recommend that you give Office Mistakes a chance.

This is my first read by this author and I did enjoy it, it was a super quick read and quite steamy in a few places. I like office romance stories and this one being during Christmas made it that much better. I was afraid I would not have enough time to connect with the characters but it turned out I was wrong and Audra and Charlie became a couple I found myself really pulling for. I loved their interaction and there were a few seconds where I wasn’t quite sure how this would turn out.
I definitely want to read more from this author. As short as this book was, I found that the style and flow of the writing was fantastic and really look forward to trying more of her books.

Office Mistakes by Beth Hale was a great 5 star read. This was a fun quick read.
Audra decides to spike the punch at her work party to liven things up. She ends up taking Charlie home since he drank a little too much punch. Of course these two have had some chemistry between them but Audra refuses to make another Office Mistake.
Things take a pretty hot and steamy twist once they get to Charlie’s house. Will Audra finally give in to her feelings for Charlie? Or will she let the past interfere?
Overall this was a fun office romance story. I really enjoyed both characters and Charlie was so sweet and understanding. There are a couple of twists that add a good element to the story as well. If you’re looking for a quick romance read with loveable characters this is the read for you. I look forward to reading more from this author, 1-click and get started today.

Audra knows, from personal experience, that office romances can go up in flames and be more drama than they are worth. So…after Audra and Charlie hook up after the company Christmas party, Audra decides that it is best that they stay friends and not pursue a relationship. Charlie thinks the opposite and wants to see where their relationship could go. Can Audra move beyond her past and see if there is a future with Charlie? You’ll have to read to find out.
This is a short office romance story. However, a lot happens in such a short time. I found myself hoping Audra would let Charlie in. When her insecurities were revealed, her actions made more sense. This was a good, quick read!

Office Mistakes by Beth Hale is a quick and easy romance with strong and interesting characters. They have an instant chemistry between them makes all their interactions that much more fun to read. This is the first book that I have read by this author and I enjoyed how she has created a short and fun story with such strong characters. It didn’t feel rushed or like anything were missing at all. I thought this book was the perfect introduction to her work and I will definitely be checking out more of it in the future! If you are looking for a quick holiday romance then j would say this is the book for you.

When you have a crush on a fellow co-worker but will never do anything about it as office romances always go wrong.
Aurda was up for a big promotion but so was Charlie, the only probably she has an attraction to Charlie but an office romance never goes well especially when they are in direct competition with each other.
Charlie has been attracted to Aurda ever since she stepped into his life but they are definitely in friends zone at the moment until one night changes that forever.
I loved this story of love and chemistry, letting your feelings just take over and throw caution to the wind. Both the lead characters compliment each other perfect and the chemistry and banter between them was brilliant. I was hooked from the first words until the last, with this well written story you feel like your transported within the story.

Hale has outdone herself with this fabulous book. Office Mistakes is a great way to get to know the author.
Audra is afraid of opening her heart up to co-worker Charlie because she doesn’t want it to be another office mistake. She finds herself falling hard and fast. The quote I chose for Audra is: “You won’t be imposing. I promise. Come on, Charlie, and go with me. You’ll get a fantastic meal.”
Charlie had always had a thing for Audra. When the Christmas party ends and it ends with her in his bed things couldn’t get better. The quote I chose for Charlie is: “I don’t know what to think. But I’m beginning to think you were right. We should just step away and chalk this up to an office mistake.”
Highly recommended for contemporary romance lovers.

This was a brilliant first read from this author and really set me up for looking forward to more reads by her! Office Mistakes is a feel-good holiday romance read that while short, really does bring you quite a bit in a short time. Audra and Charlie have a connection that is undeniable but has been put to the back as they both are hoping for the same promotion, until one night! These two have amazing chemistry and I loved watching them work through the glitches they had at the beginning as it showed what they were both willing to put into things, it also showed what their real feelings were, in a short period of time! Can Audra put aside her past enough to allow Charlie to come and show her what she really needs and wants? I highly recommend this read.

I enjoyed this Christmas romance story. This is a shorter story that brings Christmas spirit and magic together. This is a well developed story that has characters that made the story easy to read and entertaining. They are connectable and really made the story pop. Audra is up for a promotion but so is her co-worker Charlie. There is an attraction between them that has been ignored until now. After she ends up in his bed, will she take a chance on an office romance even if they have been proven to be bad? I really enjoyed these two and made the story for me.
