Unlikely to Fit is the 2nd book in the Parker Lake series. While the characters do overlap, the book could be enjoyed without reading the series in order. This book focuses on Breckin and Griff. They have known each other forever, but didn’t really KNOW each other. They share common friends and were sort of pushed together, and both resisted at first. Then they slowed discovered their feelings for each other, which were made stronger by their broken hearts. They are such a fun couple, and I was glad their story had a happily ever after. I look forward to the next book, because I want to know what happens for them. The ending was perfect. Highly recommend this book, series and author.

This book is book four of the series. While it can be read as a standalone, I suggest reading the whole series. Not only is it great but you meet a lot of characters throughout the series as the series takes place in the same town of Parker, Oklahoma.
Karen lives her ideal life in Parker. Simple, quiet, uncomplicated. Just the way she likes it. She is very much unavailable. She has no desire to get close to anyone. Brody is coming home basically with his tail between his legs. He’s not the same kid he was before he left but boy does he feel like it. His job is in jeopardy and he has no clue what comes next. Karen and Brody meet and everything they’ve known seems to flip. Karen, after years alone, can’t fight what she feels and actually starts to confide in Brody. Brody, after “escaping” Parker has to decide if maybe New York isn’t where he’s meant to be.
I loved this book. The entire series has been great and this book was a great addition! I couldn’t put it down! The characters are always so relatable and it’s so well written you feel like you walk right into Parker as you’re reading. I definitely recommend!

I knew I missed my friends in Parker, but didn’t realize how much until I cracked open the book and started reading. Felt like coming home and I squealed in happiness when Kelda made her first appearance.
I have loved each of the couples individually and together but Kelda is by far my most favorite character and old lady I have ever read about and I hope I’m a quarter as amazing, flamboyant and not caring what the world thinks as she is. She is my old lady goal.
We finally get to know Karen and she didn’t disappoint me in the least. I hate how she isolated herself but so happy she met Breckin and was dragged into their group kicking g and screaming.
Brody, oh Brody. I hate he felt like Parker was the place to avoid at all costs and lost all of that valuable time with his Dad and Sister, but oh so happy he found his way home.
I love everything about this book, series and author. Can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.

This series is continuing to pull me in, I loved this book right from the start. I was excited to get Karen’s story. Karen is a teacher who has some pretty high walls in place, that is until she meets Brody. Brody has returned home and things get very interesting. Lets just say the first face-to-face didn’t go well and Karen’s opinion of Brody isn’t the greatest. As time moves forward things do change between them and I really enjoyed reading their journey.
We get humor, drama, and so much more in this great read. I loved seeing the characters from previous books. The author does a great job of pulling you in with her writing. I was done before I knew if. If your looking for a great series to read 1-click and get started today.

Karen is trying to live a quiet life in Parker, Oklahoma. Her life is disrupted when she runs into mouthy Brody Cooper one day at the grocery store. Brody has returned to his hometown of Parker to regroup and figure out what he is going to do next with his life. A pretty teacher friend of his sister catches his eye and has him questioning the priorities he has in his life. Both are running from something, but could they be two parts of a whole?
I enjoy the Parker Lake novels. The characters are relatable and fun to read about. I love how they all interact with each other and build each other up. This is a great story of friendship and finding love unexpected!

While this book is the fourth book in the series, it is hands down just as good as the previous three. This contemporary romance, is full of so many amazing things from the well-written characters, to the cute small town, and just the perfect amount of romance. This book was so good that it had chemistry, humor, and enough emotion that you’ll go from sad, to laughter, and more in a matter of pages. So if your looking for a great new story, then pick up this one up today.

Charming Romance A contemporary romance filled with secrets and reveals. The fourth book in the Parker Lake series and we get Brody and Karen’s story. It was so good to be back in Parker and catch up with characters from previous books. It’s like coming home to old friends. So many chuckles and laugh out loud moments. Totally recommend this whole series.

What an awesome finish to the series! I loved getting to know Karen and Brody in this book. You get to know Breckin’s mysterious brother in this one. And get to know her friend Karen. Both have secrets they would rather leave buried. Some secrets can push someone away but others bring you closer. Karen and Brody have some great banter back and forth! This was a great 4th book to the series! You definitely will enjoy the writing style from this author!

This is the 4th book in the Parker Lake series and it is just as captivating as the others. These books can be read as a standalone but if they are read in order it gives you more of a complete idea of the characters and their connections to each other in the small town of Parker Lake.
As with the other books this is a fun contemporary love story. However love isn’t always easier and both Karen and Brody have secrets that they need to work through. Brody returns to Parker Lake after something happened in his big New York Life. Reluctant to return he comes home hoping to refind the man he used to be. What he doesn’t anticipate finding is love in the form of his sister’s friend Karen. Karen is a school teacher in Parker Lake. After issues in her past made she found herself in this little town which suited her because all she wanted to do was fade into the background and life a peaceful life. And then she meet Brody and he changes her life and turns her upside down. Can a chance meeting in a supermarket be the start of something special and magical for them both? Will Karen’s feelings for Brody as being an arrogant show off stop her opening her heart to him? Why is it that Brody can’t get this quiet woman from a country town out of his mind? And can they both reveal their pasts to build a future together?

Wow, each book in this series just keeps getting better and better! This book focused on the towns nurse practitioner, Brant who has not really had a semblance of normalcy in his life until he found his mother, Betty, took him in under her wing. The other character in this story is CC, who has grown up in a household that was more interested in drugs and having a fun time versus taking care of her which made her grow up even faster. CC is a wonderful character who is a hairdresser who appeases the community with her wonderful hair dyes and nail salon services. When these characters interact, they started to open up and let love in. This book series gets better and better with each story told! I cannot wait to see what the next story brings!

This is the second installment of the Parker Lake Novel Series, and this book was just as amazing as the first book! This series revolved around Breckin, whose husband wound up leaving her for the head cheerleader as soon as she walked across the graduation stage and Griff, the bar owner who lost his long-term girlfriend in a tragic accident that has left him closed off to the idea or notion of getting close to anyone again. Both of these characters had a lot to overcome in this book but my favorite moments of reading this novel had to involve when Griff and Breckin were spending time with his grandmother, Kelda. She is everything I long to be when I am an old lady. Kelda is an integral part of this book that helps to bring these two together in an unlikely way. If you are looking for your next fun series to read that has a lot of laughs and a great story, then look no further because this author has it covered!

I have not read any books by this author before I started reading this book and I have to say that I am HOOKED and will be reading many more to come!!! This story revolves around Annabelle, who has gone through the tragic loss of losing her grandma, the one person who has always been there for her and raised her since she was young, and a guy named Wyatt who she grew up with that is fighting his own demons. Annabelle is looking for help to tend to the farm that is left for her, and he just so happens to volunteer, and the rest is history. This is a very cute contemporary wholesome romance that I have been reading the past couple of days during my lunch break at work. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this first book in the series and cannot wait to read the other three as well as more books by this author. Her writing style is one that makes you think you are right there in the middle of the action in the story with them and not just reading the story.

These books were such a great and fun read that I was so sad to read this last one! I fell head over heels for this novel as it revolved around Karen and Brody. This story was one that I thoroughly enjoyed as it went over these two characters back stories and revealed why they are secretive, while also finding someone that they love along the way. I found myself laughing and crying along with them as their story progressed. Having the ability to read these novels and continually get information about couples that were the main characters in the other books in this series is one of my favorite things! Seeing the lives of these friends and their growth throughout the books as well as reading about crazy Kelda and Bert were truly my favorite things. Unlikely to Tell is the fourth book in the Parker Lake series by Olivia Sherwood (Ashlie Knapp). This is a great contemporary romance series- and this fourth book makes a wonderful addition to the series. It is beautifully written with endearing characters, a small-town setting, emotion, humour, chemistry, and enough drama to keep things interesting. We get to catch up with characters we have met previously, which is an added bonus. This is Karen Posey and Brody Cooper’s story- it was great to finally get Karen’s story, and OMG I wasn’t expecting the huge revelation/s- having met her previously, she’s the quiet and somewhat reserved schoolteacher friend of Breckin’s (Book #2), and Brady is Breckin’s brother who has returned from the big smoke to his small hometown to do a bit of soul searching after fate sent him a bit of a curveball. These two connect, walls crumble, sparks ignite, and secrets are revealed- making for another wonderfully intriguing and romantic addition to the superb series. I know I keep saying it, but I really do love this series and the wonderfully endearing characters that Ms. Sherwood has crafted. This book/series not only makes for fantastic reading, but also has all the ingredients needed to make a fantastic television movie series. Happy reading!

I have read the rest of the books in the Parker Lake set and just like the rest, this book did not disappoint. The author does a great job of continuing the stories of each of the characters meanwhile focusing on the main couple. Karen is quiet and keeps to herself high school math teacher. Karen has one close friend and that is Breckin, on the occasion Karen will venture out to hang out with Breckins group of girlfriends. She needs to stay under the radar because no one knows her story. That is the case until Brody Cooper decides to come back home for a visit. Brody has not been home in a few years because he’s been so busy at work. Broody was not sure how long his boss would extend his visit. Only in town a few days when Broody heads over to Swansons to pick up groceries and he runs into Karen. It was not a good first impression on Broody’s part. Not realizing Brooy was Breckin’s brother Karen rambles to Breckin about the horrible interaction. I really love this series of books. To watch Karen from book one and then finally get to learn her story is great. It was definitely a treat to watch Broody and Karen’s relationship blossom.

I also love how she makes me laugh reading them because I can picture everything happening. This gentleman really had his hands full luring the main character into his clutches because she is a true Karen and not easy to win over. I was sitting on the edge of my seat reading some of these chapters because I wanted things to happen right then, but she kept me waiting. I was so happy to be able to read another story in this amazing series but also for Karen and her story to be told. I was hooked from page one until the very last word. This fantastic author creates such a vivid reading experience that you feel a true part of this wonderful town and you simply can’t put the book down until you see what happens next. As book 4, it tells the story of Karen and Brody and while they have been either featured a little or mentioned in previous books your reading experience will not be tarnished in any way if you haven’t read the previous books. I do HIGHLY recommend reading the previous books however because they are so awesome you really don’t want to miss out on them.

This is the 4th, and my favourite, book in a fantastic series that I’ve absolutely loved so far. Set in the small town of Parker Lake where you can’t do anything without the whole town knowing your business. But school teacher Karen Posey has a huge secret that she wants no one to ever find out about. So she keeps herself to herself. All is going to plan until her best friend Breckin’s ( the heroine from a previous book in the series) brother Brody comes home to stay. Brody and Karen’s story is only that I was hooked on from the very beginning. Having been introduced to Karen in previous books, I was always intrigued as to her story and was so glad that the author decided to give her a book to tell her awesome story. As the path to true love never runs smoothly, Brody and Karen did not get off to the best start. She thought he was an arrogant jackass and hated him on sight. Although she could admit that he was very easy on the eye. This is a fantastic story that I totally lost myself in and I can see me reading this book again in the future. Definitely recommend.

Brody comes back to Parker nursing his wounds after a workplace incident in NYC. Not sure whether or not he still has a job, he spends the holidays with his family, which has grown to include some familiar quirky characters. Carrying his own emotional baggage, he runs into Karen, aka “Raven”, a teacher friend of his sister’s. She has her own set of emotional baggage. As the family tries to get through the holidays, can these two work through their issues to come together to realize they make a beautiful couple? I found this book brought out all the feels. You can relate to their relationship issues. They have the spark, it builds over time. Even Kelda can’t kill their romance. Speaking of Kelda, who can’t relate to crazy relatives like Kelda and Burt just popping in and talking about bathroom habits, sex life and they are the elderly? I don’t think I’ve laughed so hard as I do when I’m reading about these two. All the wedding talk and romance is just beautiful in the story. The author truly has a figt for making ift feel very real. The people of Parker, Oklahoma could be from your town. The plot was great. It’s a real issue and it was handled well with no choppiness. A wonderful in a series that is one I’ll read over and over. A must for romance lovers everywhere.
School teacher Karen Posey is shy and quiet and likes to keep to herself, and she likes it that way. all is well until a chance meeting of Brody Cooper who is anything but shy, he is cocky and confident and has his sights set on Karen. Truly a beautiful journey of love. But filled with the typical small-town drama. lots of laughs especially from Meemaw who you will know about from the other book in this series. which if you haven’t, I highly recommend.

I absolutely loooved this story! This series is just amazing, and I love the small town romance part of it. Each story is unique in its own way and this one definitely didn’t disappoint. Karen and Brody were perfect for each other and I loved going on their journey with them! If you like small town romance this is the series for you!

Having thoroughly enjoyed the previous books in this series, I was really looking forward to this latest novel and to reading Karen’s story, and I was not disappointed. I loved being back in Parker, Oklahoma, with its small town living and as usual I was fully immersed in the setting due to the descriptive narrative. Karen Posey is the local school teacher and she enjoys a simple, quiet and uncomplicated life, and although her natural beauty has attracted the attention of every man in Parker, Karen remains irrevocably unavailable. Karen believes she is destined to be alone and has developed a wall of defence around her heart in order to protect her, and the secrets she lives with.
However, a chance meeting with a man in the town’s grocery store may just change everything for Karen. Brody Cooper left Parker as a shy, nerdy kid but has reinvented himself and is now a successful, confident alpha male, who’s also rather sexy. Brody has had to return to his hometown to figure out his future, as his hard built career is in jeopardy due to no fault of his own. The last thing on his mind is love, but then he meets the rather aloof Karen whilst shopping and his interest is instantly piqued. Now he just has to win Karen over with his self confident charm, if she will let him. The characters are wonderfully detailed, and I felt like I was there with the likeable and relatable Karen and Brody. I was definitely cheering them on hoping they would get their HEA. The heartwarming storyline flows well and kept me happily turning the pages, and left me thinking about the characters long after I had finished the last page. A wonderfully written story and a enjoyable and engaging read.

I have read all books in the Parker Lake series and I’m happy to finally get Karen’s story. She has always been the mysterious character and now we finally get the story of who she is how she came to Parker, Oklahoma. Karen is a math teacher and friend of Breckin who’s brother, Brody, has finally returned home after years away. Karen, not wanting to get close to anyone, cannot resist her attraction to Brody and soon begins to open up to him after years of internal turmoil. Brody is at a crossroads in life trying to decide if New York is truly where he belongs or if the love of Karen is worth leaving his career and what he’s known for years behind. I love this book series and the way they make me happy. The only character I am getting strongly annoyed with is Griff’s grandma. I began liking her but her antics are just getting too much and no one wants to take a stand against her. Other than that, this book and series is worth the read!
