Opposite Day for Dinopotamus (Dinopotamus Series) by Lois Wickstrom – Review by Jennifer Crain
Opposite Day for Dinopotamus by Lois Wickstrom
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This book takes the traditional concept of opposite day and turns it on its head, literally. The story follows Dinopotamus, a curious and clever student who is excited to celebrate Opposite Day at his school.
The author, Lois Wickstrom, masterfully crafts a narrative that encourages readers to think creatively and consider the consequences of their actions. On Opposite Day, the rules are reversed, and kids get to “break” rules and disobey instructions – but only if they get it right.
The story is engaging and easy to follow, with simple language and colorful illustrations that will appeal to young readers. The protagonist, Dinopotamus, is relatable and likable, making it easy for readers to imagine themselves in his shoes.
