My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Birdie is a widow who is having trouble letting go of her husband and useless items that she continues to collect from dumpsters, yard sales, etc. Birdie has lost a lot in her life and finds herself attached to a young woman whom she barely knows. When the young woman, Jenna, disappears, Birdie decides she must find her. What follows is a whole story that is unfortunately true to life. This book kept me turning pages to find out what would happen next.

Tallie Brown has discovered that she is not who she was raised to believe she was. The woman who raised her taught her how to simply disappear. In this suspenseful book, Tallie must use all of her skills to figure out how people are disappearing never to be seen again. I was hooked from the very beginning.

These two books are cute stories about how friends may disagree on how to handle situations but can still work together. The stories are short but impactful and the illustrations are great.

Friendship. Secrets. Guilt. These all combine to make this such an amazing book!! I could not put it down. Cate and Patti are best friends and seniors in high school whose lives change on Prom night. Twenty years later they discover that things are not always as they seem. Can their friendship survive? This book is one of my favorite reads of 2022.
