This book was so sweet and cute. I loved the messages that are taught in this book about facing your fears and talking about your emotions. Jake the Growling Dog is an excellent book for young children to read and find comfort in. It is definitely a book I would like to share with my children in the future. Even as an adult I loved it! I absolutely recommend this book for parents of young children.

This box set was phenomenal! Each of the brothers were sexy and fierce and the romance was perfect. I loved each book individually and felt that they all went together so well. The spice was magnificent and all of the FMCs were totally badass women that were able to handle their men just right. I don’t know if I could ever pick a favorite man since each one of them is so hot and unique. I love that in this box set you get all of them for the price of one!

Devil’s Breath was everything I wanted and more. It was sexy and hot and mysterious. The FMC, Sera, was not only a bad ass but she was so smart. We love a woman with beauty AND brains. Cassius is just as sexy and he has that tough guy exterior that only Sera can get past. The tension of Sera choosing between her father and Cassius made the drama of this book stand out. I can’t say enough good things about this book! Sera and Cassius are definitely goals.

I love a good sports romance and this one absolutely hit the spot! Kendall was an amazing female protagonist and a very powerful woman. Pete was hot and sweet. A textbook example of a book boyfriend if there ever was one. I loved that Kendall didn’t hide her intentions and that there wasn’t a lot of monologuing and pining. Sometimes you just want to get to the action! Overall I would say this is a solid sports romance, perfect for fans of Elle Kennedy and Lyssa Kay Adams! I’ll definitely be checking out other books by this author!

This book was amazing! Sexy angel/vampire hybrids? Two fated mates?? Oh and demons?? How could you want anything more? I’d never read anything from Toya Richardson before but let me just say I’m hooked! Right from the start, this book draws you in. It’s hot and sexy and romantic. I loved these characters and I must commend Ms. Richardson for her creativity. I’d never heard of angel/vampire hybrids before. Well done! Everyone should check out this book.
This was such an interesting and fun book! I loved the unique take on werewolves and the romance was amazing. This was a great way to start a series and definitely made me want to read the others in the series. I think fans of Nalini Singh would really like this book, as well as the other things Cecilia Dominic writes. 10/10 recommend!
The Curse of a Faeblood tells the story of Ember, who just lost her mother and then gets caught stealing a loaf of bread. This book was a fun ride with excellent world-building and character development. I’m not usually a fan of high fantasy but this was definitely a solid read. It had adventure, heartache, and spice. What else can you ask for? Although a bit on the long side this is a world worth falling into with characters who you’ll love and a romance that is simply *chef’s kiss*.

Unabridged (Lovestruck #2) Melinda De Ross 4 out of 5 Stars Unabridged is the second installment in the Lovestruck series, staring Blade and Angelina, as ex-lovers who are offered a second chance at love when they are forced to work together at a literary magazine. These two have amazing chemistry right from the get-go. Angelina is a badass woman with a big heart, who cares for her mother and her friends. Her voice is original and as the story’s narrator, you feel like you’re right beside her the whole time. Her pain and joy are experienced firsthand. Blade makes for a sexy boss who knows what he wants and is loyal to Angelina. He is powerful and intelligent. As far as book boyfriends go, Blade is an ideal man. The spice scenes in this book were hot! If you’re just finishing a dark romance this book is an excellent palate cleanser with true romance and a happy ending!
I was so delightfully surprised by this unique and heartwarming story. The fourth in the Second Generation series tells the story of Marvel, an older member of the Satan’s Devils Motorcycle Club, who’s been burned in the past and isn’t looking for love. That is until he crosses paths with Virginia Case during a bank robbery. Certainly not the typical meet-cute. Virginia has her own dark past that is preventing her from seeking love as well. The two have undeniable chemistry but between their own traumas and outside forces it seems likely the pair will end up being nothing more than friends. It is only through the support of the motorcycle club brothers that they are able to find the romance they deserve. I loved having two older MCs that had detailed and well-thought-out backgrounds. Marvel was a wonderful male lead with undeniable power and fierce loyalty. Virginia was more level-headed and wise than some romance heroines. The twists and turns of their story kept me turning the pages and wanted to see this story through to the end. Although this is not a book I would recommend reading without reading the other books in the series, it was still an amazing love story that made me smile, laugh, and cry.
Spring’s Shower is the first in the Seasons of Magic series from the highly entertaining C.A. King. It is the story of a bet made between Eros and four other gods; Mother Nature, Neptune, the Grim Reaper, and Santa Claus. The gods believe that Eros has the easiest job of all of them and Eros challenges them to do just that. Each god much make a true love match to win the bet. First up is Mother Nature, who goes by Greta for this story. She travels to a small town and finds a gardener named Spring, who is as in need of love as her plants are in need of water. Greta thinks she’s found Spring’s perfect match in a stranded celebrity but it soon becomes clear that nothing is simple in love and war.
This book was so light-hearted and wonderful. If you’re looking for a palate cleanser after a dark romance or just need something that will give you warm and fuzzy feelings, this book is perfect for you! It is well-paced and the detail is splendid. The unique personalities of the gods and the mortals come alive with King’s word choice. Although there is no spice in this book it is one I challenge you to not smile throughout. I look forward to reading the next book that features Neptune in the summertime!
Forbidden Love is the first in a duology from the highly prolific KM Lowe and tells the story of Kally and Clark. Kally and Clark have been friends since they were children and despite falling in love with each other by the time Kally is 18 they haven’t gotten together yet. However, it seems that they’ll never get the chance, when at Kally’s 18th birthday party their families announce that Kally must marry Clark’s incredibly sinister, older, brother to pay a debt. As Kally faces incredible trials and heartbreak, Clark must learn to fight for his love and that family is who you love, not just blood.
This book is incredibly fast paced. From the first page we are thrown into the intense world of the Collinson family and see that this is a family built on greed and appearances. Only Clark and Damian seem to have any real humanity and so it makes sense that they are the main male characters. They are fiercely loyal to those they care about and will go to the ends of the earth to protect them. Kally has grown up with these boys and she and Clark seem well suited for each other, although we don’t get much background since there’s so much other stuff going on. You care for Kally from the beginning and get to watch her grow immensely throughout the story. This book is perfect for fans of The Bourbon Kings series by J.R. Ward.
