Book 3 was truly a feel good romance. This story brings romance, drama, suspense, and the question of the strength of a fated bond. It was vividly told and played across the imagination with great ease, This story brings us to Brandon and Macy. They meet incidentally one night in which they realize they are mates and it turns into a night of passion. After that night they part ways until they are reunited again down the line, and Brandon sees Macy is not alone this time. Its a great story and it will definitely hold your attention until the very end!

Call of the Alpha is SUCH a great read. Again this author takes a spin with the traditional shifter paranormal romance! I didn’t even know I needed a single dad alpha until reading this book! Bonus: the female lead is wicked smart. A wonderful addition to this series. I hope the next one is even better!

A Second Chance was such a heart-warming story! This is a true second chance romance beginning with angst. True mates ripped apart by fate, will they find their way back to each other? This is such a refreshing take on fated mates from the human perspective which we don’t often see. Great beginning to this series. I am definitely following this author!

Everyone loves an Alpha and when he finds his mate it makes it that much better! Rylie was beautiful and strong with a good soul. Mason was a single dad and the Alpha of Powder River Pack. He was doing the best with what he was given, and leading his pack with high hopes of finding his eternal mate. Together their story was passion pain, and acceptance with a beautiful HEA. This was a great werewolf story and I am eager for what’s next.

This is the 2nd book in a great paranormal romance series. As much as I enjoyed the first book in the series, this one is even better. I loved Mason and Rylie’s story. Each book in the series can be read as a standalone but I’d advise reading the whole series, in order, to get the most out of it. I assure you, you won’t be disappointed. One of my favourite tropes has to be single dads. In my experience of reading many, many books, single dads are usually awesome dads with fantastic relationships with their kids. I could have spent hours reading about Mason and his little boy/werewolf Archer. Archer is absolutely adorable and he totally stole my heart. The final chapter, which is told from Archer’s POV just pulls on the heartstrings. I also loved reading his growing relationship with Rylie as she and Mason progress through their relationship. This book is quite a bit longer than the first book in the series and I’m so glad that I got more of Mason, Rylie and Archer is I was really enthralled by their story. One thing that I really want now is Mason’s brother Miles’ story. I really need to know what’s going on with him and Alexa. 100% recommend this book.

For anyone who enjoys “fated mate” werewolf books, this is a REALLY good one! Even though it follows that pretty common theme, it still manages to be engaging and interesting. There are twists and turns and plenty of steamy romance. Highly recommended, and while it can be read on its own, I would suggest reading the other books so you get to know all the characters better. I think this might be the best one of the series!

What a wonderful story. It filled me with happiness and fun. I liked Macy and how strong she becomes. Brandons life is a struggle he has to overcome to be happy. They both grow and change as the story progresses.
I enjoyed getting to see the rest of the pack and how they are coming along. The thing to remember is some of the events take at the same time as other books. This threw me off more than once.
Overall this book kept me turning the pages wondering what was going to happen next. I look forward to more. The title of this one is perfect in more ways than one for this story.

This third book in the Powder River Pack series may be my favorite one so far. After all there is romance, mystery, intrigue, duty, responsibility and fate. What more could you want?
Brandon is the pack jokester, likes to have a good time, but realizes it’s time for some responsibility and joins the military. One crazy night on the town he meets the one person that can turn him inside out and change his life, his fated mate. Macy goes into the town to let loose, and finds the undeniable attraction she has toward Brandon. They have one great night together when reality steps in and pulls them apart. Macy runs away and Brandon must leave early for his military service.
Once his military obligations are complete, Brandon returns to his hometown desperate to find the one who got away and took a piece of him with her. He knows it’s a longshot but fate must be smiling down on him and he finds Macy in the local bar. Can Macy overcome her feelings of the past to build a future with Brandon? This book has everything you could wish for in a shifter romance and I lost sleep over this book because I just couldn’t put it down. I recommend you read the other books in this series so you get to know the other pack members though this can be read as a standalone book. I cannot wait to see what else this author has in store for us next!

The second book in the Powder River Pack Series is a knock your socks off story. There seem to be stories inside of the main story and the author does a wonderful job bringing them all together.
Rylie is an outdoorsy biologist, not afraid to work and get her hands dirty. After heading back to her hometown eager for the career prospects she might find, she runs into someone that could alter the course of her entire life if she lets him of course. Who is this charmer that she can’t get out of her head? His name is Mason, and he just so happens to be the alpha of the Powder River Pack, single dad and bar owner. Mason has almost all but given up on finding his fated mate and the prospect of raising his son by himself. I love all kinds of shifter books and most of them have a fated mate, sometimes things go according to plan and other times not so much. This book will send your emotions on a roller coaster ride, sometimes cheering for Derek and Anabelle and other times yelling at them for being so blind.
Derek and Anabelle find love in each other at a very young age, but even the best love sometimes falls apart. At one point finding themselves apart and broken hearted, each with the same feeling of discontent in future relationships. Annabelle goes off and makes a career for herself, but finds she must return as her estranged father is dying. Out of a sense of guilt and duty she finds herself pulled back to fetterman, Wyoming. Where she must face Derek again except he is no longer the young man she once loved, he is bitter and angry and confrontational. Can Derek and Annabelle find their happy ever after together or is the past too much to overcome? Will Annabelle sacrifice the career she has built for herself for the love of a man she has never gotten over? This is a book all about how we don’t always know the full story when it comes to relationships. It is about overcoming the past and working to build a future worth living for. This was a must read for sure! I loved the character development as well as the overall story of this book. It was engaging right from the start, I loved the characters in general, there was a lot going on and it made the story line fun and interesting! I really enjoyed this book!
This book gave a lot to the reader in terms of enjoyment. Brandon and Macy are two amazing characters, and the story of the relationship and throw in the whole shape shifting thing, and you know your in for a heck of a good time. I loved their build up, their differences and how outside factors around then happen and keep happening. I could not wait to keep reading to see what would come next. Great paranormal series. It is one not be missed by any means!

This is the first book in a paranormal romance series. Each book can be read as a standalone. I have already started the second book and can see that the stories are running concurrently. This is an author that I have read several times in the past and have always enjoyed reading their books: and this was no exception. I really enjoyed this book. As the title suggests, this is a second chance romance. Werewolf Derek let his true love and mate slip through his fingers many years ago, now she’s back in town as her father is very ill and he’s determined that this time he’ll get his mate back for life. I really enjoyed reading Derek and Annabelle’s story. It’s quite angsty as you would expect from a second chance romance. I enjoy a good angsty read so this book was just what I needed. Derek and Annabelle are great characters to read. Derek is a moody pain in the backside since losing Annabelle many years ago. Both believed that the other broke their heart and the hurt that both are feeling makes this a very good read. The author did a great job of pulling me into the story from the very beginning and keeping me engaged and wanting to read more, right up to the very end.

Book 2 in a (currently) set of 3, but each can be read as a standalone. There’s some easter eggs and hints as to what occurs in the other books but as they seem to run simultaneously in time there’s not many big spoilers if you don’t know what you’re looking for.
I absolutely love the pairing of Mason and Riley. This book also kind of gives us two books in one as we also see the fated mate pairing of Alexa and Miles occur at the same time (and do I want to read that book to know what they’re thinking and feeling!).
An insta connection is formed due to the Mason and Riley being fated mates, but the journey of them being together isn’t forced and feels organic outside of that connection. I loved that Riley is so taken with Archer, Mason’s son, and is a supportive role model right away. I also really enjoyed that Riley isn’t your average pretty FMC, she’s an outdoorsy scientist type who isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty. I found Mason’s love and devotion to his son to be swoon-worthy and made the character more well rounded than just being the pack alpha.
Also, I abhor Thea as a character and the tension she’s adding on the building relationships in the books so far, but I also want her to find her person and see her get her just deserts in having to fight for that relationship.

A shifter based paranormal romance. Includes military, fake identity, accidental pregnancy romance.
Right off the bat I have to say that I really enjoyed the levity that Goose the Goat and little hellion Miranda brings to this mostly serious book. This one is also a fairly quick read of only a few hours, but it kept me thoroughly engaged and rooting for Macy and Brandon to make it work.
Macy is the daughter of the alpha of a rival pack, and is expected to wed another when she meets her fated mate Brandon, a soldier, out at a club. After one passionate night they’re lost to one another for five aching years. When Brandon stumbles into Macy again the connection is still there, but is the desire to be together?
I enjoyed the military aspect of this novel, and the fact that Brandon’s unit was a covert one which utilized their shifter abilities. I also enjoyed seeing a bit of Macy’s strength, for ex her struggle of finding her own feet while being a single parent to baby and young child Miranda. I enjoyed the pairing of Macy and Brandon and hope to read more about them in snippets in the future books (hopefully there will be more as I am really enjoying this series).
I also enjoyed the little catch ups we got to see of the main couples from books 1 and 2 (and more), though they’re more easter eggs to get you to want to read those rather than straight out spoilers of what occurred in those books.

Second chance paranormal shifter romance. An emotional wringer.

A fairly short read (a few hours), this is the first book in a series. This novel is not a straight forward romance and will put your emotions through the wringer! Heads up that this book has easter eggs as to things that happen in the other books as they read as if they are happening simultaneously for the most part.
This book follows Annabelle and Derek, and their journey back to one another.
I enjoyed the slight murder mystery that occurs in this book alongside the journey Annabelle and Derek must go through to be back together. There’s hesitancy on both their parts, which is understandable after being apart, and thinking the other didn’t care in the same way, for eight years.
In this series the men are the shifters (werewolves) but it’s not the kind we’re used to reading about, where they’re larger than normal wolves but basically the same; here, the werewolves are some hybrid animal that takes over control of the body only on the full moon and sometimes when emotions get too extreme.
I really enjoyed the additional input of side characters, some of whom we see more of in the future books in this series.

This is another captivating paranormal romance, with shifters, werewolves, fated mates, angst, action, drama, chemistry, struggles, responsibility, and family. Brandon Quarters is back in his hometown after serving in the military with his own mission- to find the ‘one-who-got-away’. But fate has a big surprise in store for him when he finally tracks her down. One that will turn his world upside down. Book 3 of the series and I think it was my favorite. Brandon and Macy had a history and to see them meet up again and deal with that history and the challenges it brought (including a mighty active one), gave hope that everything could work out. I really enjoy the author’s writing as you feel like these are your neighbors. They are well-developed and the story is well-written. They are just going through the struggles we all do (with a little inner wolf thrown in). With every story, I have been pulled in and fully engaged. You find yourself wanting to know what’s next in the story. I loved it. This was a great story to read. I recommend you check it and the other two stories out.

First we got Mason’s story. Time for Derek, his best friend. Derek grew up hearing stories of how werewolf’s would find their mate, for life. It was a once in a lifetime thing. He always wanted his parents thing. Annabelle came into his life in childhood. Her momma liked him. Her daddy hated him from the get-go. Annabelle knew what he was and loved him anyway. Derek was heartbroken when Amos told her she had moved on. Fast Forward ten years later, she comes back for her daddy’s death, can they pick up where they left off? There is a lot of history to deal with? This is an excellent book. The story plays out terrific. It goes along so smooth. There is no choppiness. The characters feel just like a small town. Derek is relatable with his frustration over his feelings. Annabelle is just totally relatable for being in a relationship and trying to deal with daddy issues. They go through some heavy stuff, and with him being a werewolf on top? Boom, issues for sure. I loved this book too. Totally engaged me. On to book 3. I highly recommend you read this one too.

This is the third book in the Powder River Pack series though this is the first one I have picked up. It can be read as a stand alone book. I didn’t feel lost, but definitely want to go back and read the other two to build on the pack I am beginning to know. We meet Brandon and Macy in this story. Brandon is out celebrating his last night before heading off into the military. Macy’s taken out of the state for a night of kicking up her heels and letting loose. What can it hurt? Aa the third book in this series I would suggest starting with book 1, so you can get a feel for this pack, the characters and overall feel for the series. I love this series so much! And I feel I have waited ages for this one and I was not disappointed at all! These two were great to read about and I just felt so drawn to the both of them. Has some surprises on your journey through this read and I cannot recommend this author enough!

I really enjoy this authors books. I love the paranormal romance and how the story evolves. This the 3rd book in the Powder River series. Even though reading from.the beginning will enhance the story its not essential as this book can be read as a standalone. The author does an amazing job of making the paranormal feel normal and the growth of the characters through the books keeps the reader hooked. In this book we follow the story of Brandon and Macy.
Brandon is part of the Powder River werewolf pack. He has his life mapped out and is happy with his choice to join the military. That is until the night before he is due to leave when he bumps into a woman who is his fated mate. Now torn between doing what he was going to do and being with this woman he just met he decides to leave but can never forget her. After he returns he decides it’s time to finally find and be with his fated mate.
Macy has a lot of expectations placed on her. She struggles to constantly be a good daughter and do the right thing. So when her friend drags her away for one night of madness she gives in and goes wild. This one moment of madness ends up with her losing everything. However Macy is a strong determined woman and through all the ups and downs she gets through it all but she feels like something is missing. Could it be something to do with Brandon? Is she feeling the pull towards him as he is to her?
This story is definately a rollercoast of a ride that keeps the reader gripped. This book is full of drama, love both lost and found and shifters falling in love. What more could you want for a fantastic romance with surprises along the way.

Brooke May did a spectacular job making this paranormal book and series so tasteful and throwing in real world problems! I couldn’t recommend enough!

The chemistry that book two from the Powder River Pack series gave was phenomenal! Brooke May came in with a bang up second book! I thought the first one was good but this one was unreal! Brooke May is quickly becoming a favourite author of mine and I can’t wait to see what book 3 brings because this was pretty much the perfect paranormal book for me! The dynamic of the characters was something I found myself craving the more I got in the book! I couldn’t wait to see how the ending would turn out! Definitely think you could read as a standalone but hey, may as well not miss out on the other great books right?!

Brooke May is a new author to me but won’t stay that way. I love paranormal fiction and this one was one that took the cake! An amazing storyline with great tension and drama! This book had me hanging on to every word and I couldn’t do anything until I finished! The first book in the Powder River Pack series and I am about to dive headfirst into book 2!

This is an author that I never hesitate to pick up. I have enjoyed this author’s books from the first one I picked up from her. This is the third book in this series which I highly suggest reading the previous two books to help your enjoyment of this series. This is a well written story that pulled me in from the beginning. This author did a great job of details to make the story realistic. This is a paranormal story about Brandon and Macy. Brandon finding a life mate the night before he is shipped out wasn’t part of his plan. Now he is faced with finding Macy and making her his life mate. Macy does her best to be a good person. She has one passionate night with a stranger but the problem is she cant forget him and that changes things for her. Now she feels something is missing and she is about to find out what. I enjoyed their chemistry and growth throughout the story. They are strong, creative, connectable characters that truly made the story for me. I found this story to be fast paced and engaging. This is a hard to put down story that I highly recommend.

I hadn’t read anything by this author until I picked this up, and I’m glad that I did. It was what one would want from a paranormal romance novel. It had a little bit of the werewolf aspect right from the get-go, letting us into the world that Macy has grown up in, and feeling for our female lead right from the first page. The internal struggle of wanting to do what’s right for the family, but wanting to do what’s right by her, she is lead out of the state by her best friend for a wild night. You know you’re in for a treat when you meet Brandon, the masculine hero of our love story, that has his own inner turmoil, he’s a lean, mean, werewolf machine that I would just love to get my hands on, lucky Macy!
As this is the third installment in the Powder River Pack series, I have yet to really get to know the others in their pack, but the author does a great job at giving you a little insight into everyone that you need to know as the story goes on, which is really nice! The world building continues, I imagine, from the previous installments, which let me really get into the story. Not only that, but there are peaks and valleys that kept me interested throughout the novel. Overall, I loved the way that this author brought Macy and Brandon’s love story together, their struggles individually and as a family, and reiterating the fact that having a strong support system can make all the difference in the world, no matter what you’re going through. Excuse me, while I go read the first two, this author clearly knows what she’s doing!

A great romance with a paranormal story twist. In fact, the author wrote this story like being paranormal was normal. I loved the romance between Macy and Brandon. This was my first book in the series, but I want to go read the others now. I loved the secondary characters and want to know more about them. Overall a great heartwarming romance.

As this is the third book in this series, I suggest reading the other two first, so you get to know the Pack and their world and the wonderful characters you will grow to love. I think this maybe my favourite book by Brooke to date. I love paranormal stories and Brooke does paranormal so well. This book had everything with shifters, action, and drama, lust, and love and so much more. Brandon was saying goodbye to the only life he had known and was happy with his decision. That is until fate stepped in and gave him the one thing he could not keep. Now he is done waiting and wants what is his. Macy gave in and had one explosive night to remember only to lose it all. She has forged ahead and created a good life only to find the past catching up to her.
