This is the first book that I have read from Mrs. Courtney Davis and I immediately fell in love with this book. It immediately captured my attention within the first few pages of the book. I had to read the book from start to finish, not be able to put it down until I had finished it. She has a way with words that captures your attention and immediately pulls you in, transporting you into her world that she has created. Being able to see and feel everything the characters are feeling is rare. The way she has written the characters is amazing.
When Elle is presented with every orphan’s dream, finding out she’s actually a princess, she isn’t sure if she should join the hulking sexy man, Locan, on a spaceship ride, or run screaming from the room because he’s obviously nuts. If it weren’t for the strange things she’d recently encountered, like suddenly gaining star shaped birthmarks and a bracelet that once belonged to her mother lighting up with an eerie green light, she would be out of there already. She has enough questions she wants answered to stay and find out, taking his hand and embarking on a journey across the darkness of space. He says she needs to save their people from her evil uncle. She wants to know where she comes from, who her mother was, and why she never fit in on earth. The path to their home planet isn’t without its bumps. Saving aliens, and earthlings while evading her uncle’s men and dodging the pushy goddesses who want to tell them all what to do. Elle has to learn who she really wants to be and to help Locan become the warrior he was meant to be.
I hope that there’s a sequel to this book. I look forward to reading more from this author in the near future.

Our FMC comes into the world with a mysterious past. When the woman who raises her passes clues start to pop up all around her leading her to discover her purpose, along with an attractive male counterpart. Saving her people from a devious uncle seems impossible but she is up for the task. Great read and fast paced! A sequel wouldn’t be an unhappy addition!

Elle has always been different but she could never put her finger on why other than the obvious star shaped birthmark and purple eyes. After the death of the woman who raised her named Aunt Sara, she came across a box that was labelled with Elle’s name on it. When going through the box, Elle found a journal and a bracelet from her biological mother who died after giving birth. The journal was in a language she did not recognize and the bracelet glowed and had weird inscriptions in the same foreign language. Elle also felt a weird pain shot through her birthmark.

Over the next couple days, the feelings do not subside. A man, named Locan, approaches her and confirms she is indeed different. She is the lost princess of a Utopia called Prias. Her whole life is turned upside down. Learning the truth of her own family and the betrayal behind it, Elle and Locan know that she was meant to rule but can they take down everyone and everything in their way?

This book was a very fun read. I found Elle’s character to be very relatable. The author did an amazing job introducing each character and world building. I could not put the book down. I had to find out what happened next! I also really enjoyed that Elle wasn’t an 18 year old when she learned she was a princess. She was already an established woman with a career, making her that much more relatable to me as an adult myself.

Elle is a young woman with a promising future, as an orphan, she was brought up by another family member, but as a child, she did have the usual dreams, as every orphan does, of a fairytale type life where she is a princess. She is about to go out one evening when she finds out about a tragedy which is near to her heart, she is devastated and feels alone, but it also leads to a life changing event, she finds some of her mothers belongings, one of which starts glowing green, she just thinks that it’s something caused by grief.

When life returns to a bit of normality, she suddenly starts feeling like she is being followed, so when handsome Locan turns up telling her that her dream is actual true and she is a princess, he gives her a choice to either come with him in his spaceship, or be left to fend for herself against the less friendly people who intend her harm. Elle feels like she is either going insane, or Locan is, but thanks to the odd feelings and mysterious blue star birthmarks appearing on her arm, she decides to take a chance and makes the last minute decision to go with him.

As they journey through space, Locan explains more about where she is from and what it is like living there, including about her Uncle, it is a lot to process, but Elle seems to be taking it in her stride, but as with all journeys, this one doesn’t go smoothly. Along the way, there are dangers all around Elle and Locan, from the people following her who have been sent by her Uncle and to make matters more difficult, there are her peoples Goddesses who appear with side quests for them, mainly saving earthlings and aliens alike, but always with their own hidden agendas, all the while Elle and Locan are trying to deny the growing attraction between them.

Will Elle be able to step up into the shoes everyone wants her to, or will she bow under the pressure and will Locan finally be able to accept himself and see himself as Elle sees him? This is a Sci-Fi adventure spanning across space as this romance plays out amongst the stars.

I found this to be a fantastic sci-fi fantasy book that was action packed with just the right amount of romance in it. We have Elle, who thinks she is an orphan, who has always felt a disconnect with people on Earth and Locan, a warrior at odds with himself, because he has seen what happens when you lose control. Due to fate, or actually the Gods, they are brought together and have to learn to trust not only each other, but themselves if they want to survive the journey back to their home planet and save it. I felt the character descriptions and development was well rounded, I cared for the characters and wanted to see them succeed and I was worried when things got into tight spots for them. I was impressed at how the author was able to complete the story in one book without it feeling rushed or details were left out. The pacing was solid. The story definitely touched on some adult themes so not a story for children or younger teens. I definitely recommend it for a mature reader who wants to lose themselves in a fantastic story that is going to take them to another world!

Yes! I love the idea of Elle’s mother running to give up her life for her daughters, for her ‘Aunt’ Sara for doing everything she could to raise her to be her own person and to protect her from the truths until she knew it’d be time for L to take that next step to becoming who she needed to become (whether this was known or not.) The novel itself is a well written adventure, I love when tales are told from different narratives, and how it moves at just the right speed as to keep the reader immersed in its pages.

Strong female lead, strong supporting characters, romance and suspense all woven into this adventure and I certainly made sure I took the time to focus and really focus on the story. I feel like all of us have a certain ‘ I don’t belong here’ aspect to our lives, and how L feels, i felt very much akin to. I very much enjoyed the descriptive nature of the worlds, and the adventure that unfolds. If you’re looking for a lovely quick read, but not too quick, I would recommend giving this a go. I know I will be looking for more by this author soon!

Well Princess of Prias, I’m not sure what possessed me to jump into this book, it’s typically not my genre. I would have to say it hasn’t converted me to the genre but it’s also decent. The author put a lot of thought into the story being told. It’s well written, which was the main reason I kept reading. A book well written if it’s of interest to me or not genre wise, will always keep me interested. Also appreciative of the work assembled for enjoyment. This type of genre definitely appeals to a lot of people, and I recommend all of them to check it out!
L, never feeling like she belonged, finds out she’s not only a different species but a Princess of another planet. It’s her destiny to lead the rebels against Temis and the enforcers. Kind of sounds like something out of Star Wars, right? The problem is does she believe it, let alone believe in herself. Life on earth seems so much easier now.
Locan, destined to return the Princess to her rightful place, is battling. Battling those who feel the need to stop him, his inner warrior, and the feelings he doesn’t want to admit he has for L. He’s a royal guard that can’t happen. Learning to accept his inner warrior is going to be his biggest struggle, because he fears it. What will it make him? His father accepted his warrior and killed his mother in the process. Locan refuses to let that happen to him.
Does L accept who she truly is?
Do they get to Prias without a hitch, knowing they have Jabon and the enforcers after them?
Again if this book is your sort of thing, definitely read it. I will reiterate how the author wrote a wonderful story for all who enjoy the genre!

Such a fun ride!!! Courtney Davis’s, Princess Of Prias takes you on a grand adventure through the cosmos. Growing up without a mother or father, Elle has been questioning where she comes from for a very long time. Not to mention the strange blue star shaped birthmark she’s always had. When Warrior Locan comes bursting into her room spouting nonsense about Princesses and faraway planets, it’s almost impossible to believe, until he mentions her mother. Hope for the answers to the questions she’s always asked herself drives Elle into Locan’s spaceship. On a mission to save the people of her home planet from her evil uncle Temis, she learns who she truly is, and why the rebels need her help.
I had such a wonderful journey with Elle and Locan! I loved their relationship and how it manifested. This was such a unique and fun read with some deep and intense moments, it made me want more!!! Princess of Prias is fast paced and addicting. I could not put it down! Courtney Davis’s great world building and fantastical detail made the story feel so real. Every character had such rich character development even minor ones, I really felt for Leda and what she had been through. I highly recommend this book!!

This is another fantastic read by the author. Princess of Prias is a great book. I had a hard time putting it down when I started it. L and her Royal Guard protector had me hooked and I’m sure you’ll love it just as much.

L was born on Earth, but she is a Princess of another planet. She has no clue what is going on so imagine her surprise when a guy shows up and tells her that she needs to go with him. When she finds out all she needs to know and finds herself falling for Locan. The quote I chose for L is: “Good, because I have a lot of work to do and I am hoping I can find a good man to be my King.”

Locan is a Royal Guard Member and his task is to save as many of his people as he can. When he finds the Princess on Earth he knows he can’t leave without her. Locan is also a Warrior and doesn’t exactly trust his other half. The quote I chose for Locan is: “How about a strong man who makes plenty of mistakes but loves you endlessly?”

Highly recommended for Fantasy Romance lovers.

A wonderful spin on an age old tale of a orphaned girl becoming much more.

Elle is a 27 year old gynecologist who just wants to find her place in life, want to feels like she fits in. Having lost her mother when she was a baby, she is raised by her aunt Sarah grateful for all that she has but still curious about all that she lost as a baby. Then tragedy strikes and suddenly Elle aunt Sarah is no longer around and Elle is now completely alone in the world… or at least that what she thought. Suddenly Elle is thrust into a world and future shes only imagined in her wildest dreams. Beautiful stars and galaxy’s, wonderful new planets, hidden princesses and a dark and steamy guide sent to watch over her, Elle is finally able to answer all the questions she’s spent her life asking, but at what price.

I thought this book was lovely, I relate to Elle quite a bit, her quirky nature, curiosity and skepticism are all quality’s that add up to make her the perfect main character. Throw in a steamy broody bodyguard just trying to do what’s right and save the world and I believe you have the makings of a wonderful story.

I personally feel like this book could be read as a stand-alone but I would love to see a follow up novel or even a prequel novel solely about her mothers life leading up to the events of this book. This books does a wonderful job at building the world for you though, the author put a lot of thought into world building and detail, very wonderfully written.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and cannot wait to indulge in more written work from Courtney Davis!

I loved this book because of its unique mythology and the characters. Elle is relatable and easy to care about, while Locan has his issues, but is truly trying to do what is best for Elle and his home. Most of the other characters are trying to do what they feel is best, while trying to adjust to a “new normal”.
Elle grew up being raised by her Aunt Sarah and knowing that her mom had died when she was born. What Elle didn’t know is that her mother was not from Earth, and her name is actually just the letter L, as she is the princess of a planet far away that is ran by a Queen named only by the letters of the alphabet. Elle learns the truth when Locan, a Warrior from her home planet, suddenly appears in her life and turns it upside down. Elle must quickly learn all about her home world, and its many Gods and Goddesses, and hope that she can be the leader that her people need her to be.

Princess of Prias, by Courtney Davis:
First, let me start by saying I really enjoyed Princess of Prias, and was unable to put it down once I started it. Princess of Prias is a beautiful story of girl named Elle (L) who goes on an unexpected adventure to find the truth about who she is, and where she came from.

The story begins with a tragic scene which leaves our heroine orphaned as a newborn on a planet not her home, Earth. Thankfully, she was taken in by a kind woman who taught her love and acceptance as she grew into the bright young woman she was meant to be. Although she grew up with her Aunt Sarah, who had taken her in and loved her, she still always felt like she didn’t quite belong. That something was different about her, more than just her physical appearance of purple eyes, and a blue star shaped birthmark.

Throughout Elle’s adventure, she lives out every young girl’s dream, finding out she is a long-lost princess. But she’s so much more than that, she is her people’s savior, and during her adventure she learns more about herself, her people, and what she can do to save them. She finds she is more powerful than she could have ever imagined and learns to use that power to save her world.

This wonderful book tells the life of our heroine Elle who goes on an unexpected adventure to find the truth about her origins. Along the way, she finds out truths about herself she would have never expected. Her adventure is met with friends, betrayal, love, and so so much more.

This was an excellent story! Elle is so relatable, and her reactions to finding out that she’s literally not from this world is intriguing. I adore her headstrong personality and the way she faces the new situations that could have other people completely losing their minds. Locan intrigues me with his Warrior mindset and focus on duty, even as he feels connected to Elle. His protectiveness is so complete, and it makes me want to know him, but also the ones he knows. Traylon makes me laugh with his carefree attitude, even as he focuses on what he knows he needs to do. The characters are so interesting and the world the author built is amazing and I wish I could see it through my own eyes instead of through theirs.

An orphan, Elle grew up with very little information about her past. A mysterious birthmark is the only link to her family’s history, but when her adoptive “aunt” dies, Elle discovers a few of her mother’s personal effects and things take an unexpected turn in her life.
The people her mother ran from during her pregnancy show up to take Elle captive, and she’s rescued by a mysterious trio that explain she’s not only from another planet, but she’s actually royalty from her home planet. If that’s not enough, Elle is blessed by the Goddesses with a variety of additional “birthmarks” that appear through her journey from Earth to Prias.
Rescue missions along the way that don’t go as expected, and a romance that builds with one of her rescuers, builds on twists and turns that are exciting to read. When Elle and her friends finally arrive on Prias, and she meets some of her people, she’s faced with figuring out where she fits in and how to undo all the harm inflicted by her uncle.
This is such an original story with lots of drama and thrills that makes it hard to put down until the end.

Loved this book! Elle, also known as L, is just like most kids, dreaming of being a prince or princess, and even more so being an orphan dreaming that one day someone will come by and tell you that your parent was royalty and so are you. Now your life changes upside down from the feeling of not belonging to finding out about where you come from. I love the timeline that the author gives us, where it is explanatory or what is going on but not giving to much information. While immediately you know that Elle (L) is going to most likely find out her heritage, the journey the author takes you on is nothing short of mysterious and twists. Locan, the warrior for the Royal Guard, is everything you want in a fantasy, and remind me of the Hulk, that he grows in size where he senses danger, especially if that danger includes the woman he loves, even if he won’t accept it at first.

This is a super fun and light book to read. Great for an in-between series, or getting you out of a book slump, or honestly whenever. I did not put the book down, start to finish. I definitely think we need a second book to give us a little closure on what happened to L, Locan, and everyone else involved.

When I saw Courtney’s name on the book, I just had to get it and I was not let down in any way. Courtney has done it again and given us the readers a story that is easy to get lost in and invested in the outcome. I enjoy the worlds she creates and her cleverly woven tales.

Princess of Prias is a space fantasy tale with a little romance and humour thrown in the mix. I said it before and I will say it again it is refreshing to see authors come up with new things and Courtney does just that. I enjoyed getting an in depth look at these compelling characters. This book kept me intrigued right through until the end. It is a fun story that I was completely engrossed in. It is full of action and tension, mysteries and lies, aliens, evil uncles, pushy goddesses, a utopian society and so much more.

The true adventure begins when Elle finds she is more than she ever thought. When a warrior shows up, she soon becomes ensnared into a web of politics, deceit and evil as they face danger in a battle for survival of worlds and races.

I will be keeping an eye out for more.
