This was my first book of poetry from this author and it was AMAZING. I haven’t read any poetry since my freshman year of college and it’s obvious I have been missing out! The author has a very lyrical quality in several pieces of work and her use of language was mesmerizing. I happily consider myself a fan and I’m excited to read more of their work. This collection invoked a multitude of feelings and experienced emotions vividly. This really was a beautiful piece of work- check it out my friends. You’ll feel all the feelings- and it’s worth it.

Deep.
So I am not the kind of person who is able to describe my feelings well. I truly feel like Lily reached down in my soul, and pulled it all out and gave it words!
I will be reading this again. This book is one that you will get something new out of it everytime you read.

Wow Not exactly what I was expecting yet it was exactly what I needed. I’ve been struggling lately with everything and each and every one of these poems spoke to me in a different way. Keep Learning ,Keep Growing , Be Yourself, Do your Best is something I tell myself everyday before heading into work. I felt emotional while reading these poems that definitely touched my heart. I’m going to carry this with me as positive reassurance that everything will be alright. I highly recommend reading this Inspirational book as I think many of these poems we all need to hear at one point in our life or another. I’m looking forward to reading more from this Author.

The blurb for this book of poetry says, “Do yourself a favour: buy this, curl up in your favourite chair and read it, knowing you will come away refreshed”, and I would definitely recommend doing just that! I’m new to this author and her poetry, but I will be looking out for her again in the future, as I was hooked from poem to poem. I was surprised at how relatable each poem was, and how they spoke to me, making me feel immersed in them and also how engaged with the author I felt. Some of the poems I responded to more than others, and I was taken on an emotional rollercoaster whilst reading them. My favourite poems were, ‘Awakening’ and ‘Sunrise’, the poem, ‘Refuge’, seemed particularly relevant with the war in Ukraine and the number of people seeking safety elsewhere. ‘A Shaft of Light’ and ‘Surrender’ were particularly emotional for me, as was ‘Down but Not Out’. I loved the ‘Recipe For Life’ at the end of the book, which left me with a feeling of hope and inspiration as I closed this book of poetry.

There were many poems in this book that spoke to me. Awakening – “We woke up this morning. We have much to be grateful for.” and Hold On – ” “Keep holding on.” This is a short book of poetry and while poetry isn’t on my list of things to read in general – I’m glad I picked this one up. I like Ms. Lawson’s style of writing, her topics and her ability to make the words in the poems connect with the reader.

I really enjoyed this collection of poetry. There is something to accompany you no matter what your mood. The author has a way of writing that leaves you feeling understood and loved. It’s like getting a big hug when you need it or someone to dance the night away with you.

This book is full of poetry ranging from love to anger but I felt connected to each poem that I read.
I don’t normally spend time reading poetry but I really enjoy this authors work and the clever way the author was able to draw me in. I will definately be looking for more to read from this author

I have not read a poem book in years and I’m so glad I read this one. This book of poems is based on everyday life. These poems are not too long but they will stick in your mind for a while. I read this book in one sitting. Once I started these poems I could not stop. I loved them all but my favorite was Collective Creativity. The words said that we are all different and it is ok. This book gave me a new look at poetry and I can’t wait to read another one.

I was really blown away by the poems throughout this book and surprised by how much I really enjoyed them. The writing flowed, and was so smooth, all of the poems made so much sense. They were thought provoking, relatable, and were written about real-life. I am happy to say that this book has made it into my top favorite books that contain poetry. I really enjoyed reading these poems and Lily was able to give me a new look on poetry by showing me what poetry could be.

I really enjoyed reading this set of poetry! It was easy for me to read, and I understood most if not all the poems, which says a lot for me since I usually don’t understand many poems. This went really fast too, so it was a quick read. I haven’t read anything from this author before but I will definitely be coming back because I really did enjoy this book of poems.

Rainbow’s Red Book of Poetry by Lily Lawson. This is a lovely book of poems. I had never read this authors work before but I was very pleased with this selection. I’m not a huge fan of poems but these truly touched my heart. They made me think, made me sad, made me laugh all the range of emotions. All of these inspirational poems made a impact on me and my favorite was Game over. It made me reflect on the people I have removed from my life and the ones I still need to remove. Some of these I had to read a couple of times to really grasp what it meant to me. Poetry is very beautiful and this book is a beautiful collection. This book would make a great gift for the Poetry loving person in your life.

Poetry isn’t something I typically read but something about this book caught my eye and I just had to give it a go. I really enjoyed reading the different poems in this book. Each were distinctive and I thought they were all interesting. I liked that I was able to read one and then come back to the book. I found myself reading the poems during spare pockets of time.
I thought the author has done an amazing job at creating a vivid image with each individual poem. They elicited emotion and they left me thinking. This is a great collection.

As with pretty much any book of poetry, there were poems that spoke to me and there were poems that didn’t…which is why I love poetry because you never know what will speak to you. I always recommend poetry books. I will say the reason I didn’t give this a 5-star rating was because I felt that some of the poems could have been more flushed out and developed. Some felt a little cliché to me.
Two poems really stood out to me: “Sunrise” and “Perfection”. These really resonated with me and I definitely re-read them and will be re-reading them over and over again. I highly recommend Lily Lawson’s Rainbow’s Red Poetry Book…read it and take what resonates with you.

I love poetry and this collection of poems was truly fantastic. Each poem gave me something to think about as each poem was different, raw emotion and so much thought. I felt I was painted a picture of love, soul, inspiration and heart felt meaning.

A few of my favorites were “Parenting”, “Collective Creativity”, “Hate vs Love” and “Recipe for Life”.

If you enjoy wonderful poetry that really grabs you I would highly recommend this collection. This is one of my favorite and enjoyable poetry books I have ever read.

A beautiful collection of poetry about life, love, hope, and never giving up. These poems were a true inspiration, and this collection is something worth reading repeatedly. These poems made me cry, made me think, and touched my soul on a deep level. Many of the poems resonated so deeply with me that it was as though I had written them myself. I especially loved the poems Game Over, and No Surrender because they reflected my thoughts on what it felt like to severe ties with toxic people in my life. I also enjoyed Hate VS Love, Recipe for Life, and Sunrise because they were gentle reminders that there is beauty to be found if we look hard enough and how important it is to be able to see the beauty in the small things. I highly recommend this beautiful written collection of poetry.

I enjoyed connecting with the poems in this book. Each one was inspirational, encouraging me to open my mind and dig deeper into my own self-awareness. The pieces in this collaboration spell out survivor and tell the tale of someone who has overcome many obstacles. As a survivor myself, each piece resonated with me and reminded me of the growth I have made. I revisited this book several times and got a little more from it with each read. What an inspirational journey these works will take you on! Well worth the read.

I really enjoyed this book of Poetry. Every poem took me to a place in my life to reflect on. How I handled it and how I have grown throughout the years. The author’s words had you smiling at times and sometimes sad at the state of the world today. The poems are short and quick to read but will stay with you for a while.

The poems are written in a simplest way that you will understand and not complicated like Shakespear. If you enjoy poetry as much as I do. This is a book to get lost in.

As the title suggests this is a book of poetry about life, love and challenges we face every day. This is the third poetry book written by Lily but the first I have read. I am looking forward to exploring some of her other work.

Rainbow’s Red Book of Poetry is a collection of colourful and lyrical poems will make you reflect and ponder and explore moods and emotions. Lily has the ability to make the words dance and speak to you. Written in simplistic style it is an easy and short read.

There is something that will resonate with whoever reads Lily’s work. Trust me you will not be disappointed.

Rainbow Red’s Book of Poetry by Lily Lawson is a wonderful collection of poetry that, at times, reached right into my soul and spoke to me. Ms. Lawson seemed to effortlessly capture so many different emotions, as well as giving wonderful insight into our human experience. From beautiful and poignant, to emotional and complicated, shows a deep understanding of all aspects of the human condition…
I saw my own thoughts and experiences reflected in her words, but she also gave me some thought-provoking moments, words and thoughts to ponder on more…
A wonderful little book- full of meaning, emotion, inspiration, heart, and a little soul.

Thank you, Lily Lawson!

A lot of words about survival and rising out of the ashes like the Phoenix. Reflective poetry that make you contemplate your own stories of strength and how far you’ve come. Metaphorical language that engages the reader to continue to turn the page. Poetry tells a story and this book does just that! I look forward to more work from Lily Lawson.

This author has greatly touched my soul! The writing was beautiful and moved beautifully like the waves on a beach greatly glazing the sand, to say hello and goes back to see where this life leads next!

I do love poetry. This collection really touched me and held me in a way of comfort. Realistic and heart felt. The ability to relate and feel was certainly strong! The author had a way with words and writing. I very much enjoyed these and the way I reflected after reading each one. I know this is a collection of poems that can be enjoyed by the world, and I think everyone, would find at least one poem that appeals to them. For me, there were certainly many that spoke and touched me. Truly loved this book of poems with all I am!

I can not say enough good things about this wonderful author and the poems that resided within this book! You must experience it for yourself. Defiantly a high recommendation for this must read book/author!

Beautiful poetry that celebrates love and life’s challenges. ‘Game Over’ is the one that most resonated with me. Many of these may speak to you. Some are profound. Some are deep. Most make you think. I am not a fan of poetry but I found myself reading everyone of these and finding them beautiful and thoughtful. The rhythm flows nicely. I recommend this book to everybody. Even if you have runed the other way to poetry, give this a try. This isn’t your normal poetry. Contemporary poetry that will have you thinking about life. Well-done author.

‘Do yourself a favour: buy this, curl up in your favourite chair and read it, knowing you will come away refreshed.’

Life is a complex thing. As social beings, we live side by side, sometimes in not so harmonious circumstances. This book celebrates love and tackling the challenges we face as humans. Control is not always ours.

Keep learning.

Keep growing.

Be yourself.

Do your best.

Life is complicated, yet very simple.

These poems are layered and more formal — with an air of William Blake or even Christina Rosetti — but without pretension or anachronism. They still have the Lawson touch.’

And dance.

And understand myself a little better.

And understand others, perhaps, a little better too.’
