Found in Understanding (Refuge Series #3)Found in Understanding by Debbie Zello
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Found in Understanding: Refuge Series Book Three by Debbie Zello had me in tears. Not just tears, heart wrenching ugly sobbing tears, I thought is she mad. Why would you do that, but has I read further it all became clear, even though I am still thoroughly devastated. I enjoyed the story which was very emotional as we watched a young child grow into herself, life, love and loss. But I also found myself laughing out loud. The story kept me engaged and I loved the main characters and I think this has to be my favourite book by Debbie. She always writes stories that evoke strong emotions and you know it is a good book when that happens.

This is absolutely one story that should not me missed. Beware you will need a box of tissues to make it through.

Found in Understanding (Refuge Series #3)Found in Understanding by Debbie Zello
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Found in Understanding by Debbie Zello a four-star read you need to find. This is the third book in the Refuge series, it can be read as stand-alone, but I would say read the series as they do build the authors writing style and you will get more out of it. I will be honest, I enjoyed the book, but it wasn’t as good as some of the others by this author. I will admit though, I think it was me as this was such an emotional read and I wasn’t in the place for it. I am sure I will re-read this story and find it so much better. It was very heavy in the back story and then glossed over some of the more current details that I felt we could have been dealt with in more details, that being said I loved the first couple of chapters where we got the initial story of Firelight, where she got her beautiful name and how. So that’s why I think you should give this book a go, I know I will be re-reading once I get over my funk.

A Snow Covered Nightmare (Refuge #2) by Debbie Zello – Review by Jenni Bishop

A Snow Covered Nightmare (Refuge #2)A Snow Covered Nightmare by Debbie Zello
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A Snow Covered Nightmare: Refuge Series Book Two by Debbie Zello is a great and well written story. It blew me away and kept me turning page after page and intrigued every step of the way. I loved the main characters and they often had me laughing so hard, tears were flowing. The story starts of with a bam and continues all the way pulling you in more and more word after word. Falling in love with the characters was as easy as the flow of the tale. This story has mystery and suspense, romance and murder, heartbreak and love. It is a bit of an emotional ride when doing the right thing is so wrong and painful. Debbie has written a wonderful story with believable characters that will captivate you.
This is definitely one story that you don’t want to miss out on.

A Snow Covered Nightmare is the second book t in the Refuge Series and the third book that I have read by Ms. Zello. I loved that this wasn’t just another love story has mystery, suspense it was full of passion. This book is started right from the very beginning. It didn’t start off slow, everything happened right from the very get go and it was awesome. The characters are well developed and It’s a good all-round story, with different sides of the story revealed that will suck you in from the first page until the last and you won’t be able to put it down.
Briah Spencer’s is the sole witness to her boss’s murder and her life would never be the same again. Once she had identified the killer as none other than Denver’s biggest crime boss, David Slater, her head had a price on it.

Soon her life and his found that rock and hard place where decisions were impossible and devastating. Briah is sent into witness protection and Aiden to the bottom of a whisky bottle.
Briah felt safe in the mountains. They were her refuge from life’s realities so she decides lose her cares on the slopes with the wind blowing them past her. Will the mountains hide her from the two men that want her? Can the snow help her to forget Aiden? Is there a future in her new life?
I highly recommend this book/series and I can’t wait to see what Ms. Zello has in-store for us.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A Snow covered Nightmare by Debbie Zello a five-star read that certainly isn’t a nightmare read. This is the second book in the Refuge series, this is a series but they can be read as a stand-alone I have read both books and plan to read the rest as Debbie Zello is a great writer that will captivate you. This story is fast-paced and full of action it will keep you hooked all through the story. Aiden and Briah have such a powerful story to tell, it builds and builds a great tension and the storytelling is next to none, you will watch as they grow to love each other and face so much together. If you don’t read any of the other books in the series try this one, it will stay with you long after you have finished the story.
