Be True with Me (Be with Me Series) by CA Miconi – Review by Charlene Pryke

This is the first book that I have read of C.A Miconi and it certainly won’t be my last. It is always great to add a new Author to my list ❤️

Be True to Me is the 3rd novel in the “Be with me” series. I read this novel as a stand alone novel and although I will go back and read the first 2 books in the series it did not contain any spoilers to those books and was a lovely sweet romance novel about the reconnection of college sweetheart Lauren and Jake. A chance meeting via their work roles and a pair of adorable twins who needed some love and affection over the holiday season whilst their mum recovered in hospital from an act of domestic violence.

I really enjoyed this novel and how it played out and I am sure that you will also – especially if you are a sucker for a happily ever after like I am ❤️

Baking a Bicycle (Invisible Magic Wand Book 7) by Lois Wickstrom – Review by Charlene Pryke

Baking a Bicycle: Invisible Magic Wand Book SevenBaking a Bicycle: Invisible Magic Wand Book Seven by Lois Wickstrom
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Baking a Bicycle is another fun book by Lois Wickstrom accompanied by the gorgeous illustrations by Nicolas Milano.

Caspian would like a bike for his “unbirthday” but grandpa says that “unbirthday” gifts are always unusual out of the ordinary gifts and leaves an envelope of “baking up dust”.

This book is the tale of Caspian and Grandpa creating a bicycle out of dough and with a bit of “baking up dust” magic happens.

Master Sardina (Masters of the Consulate Book 8) by Sylvia Black review by Charlene Pryke

Master SardiniaMaster Sardinia by Sylvia Black
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Sylvia Black is an old time favourite author that I have not read for a while and I will certainly be catching myself up on all her latest works ASAP.

I read this as a stand alone novel but I wish I had known prior to starting Master Sadina that it is the 8th novel in a “The masters of the Consulate” series. I highly recommend starting at the beginning of the series as it will give you a greater understanding of all of the characters of the book and their individual stories and how we ended up at the point in time where this book starts.

Master Sardina is a pure bred “player” vampire whom falls in love with his newly turned charge Madria. Some extremely HOT and steamy sex scenes. Madria is the link with the help of a stone that can see powerful visions that help them in a quest to shed the island of rogue vampires and shifters?

My only gripe – the book ends abruptly but I guess that just means I have to read the next book?

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the first book that I have read by P.Creeden and it will not be my last. Joy’s Christmas escape is book one in ‘The Marshal’s mail order bride series’ and I am looking forward to reading the rest of the books in the series. This book is a heartwarming story of Joy whom was down on her luck after her Grandmother’s passing and being relentlessly harassed by the evil Mr Pomeroy. She travels to Virginia city to become Marshal Jack’s mail order bride and care for his adorable twin niece Natalie and Nephew Nathan. Trouble follows her but Jack promises to protect her and after some misadventures they fall in love❤️. This book is a page turner and ticked all the boxes for a great read.

Sweet Vengeance (Mission Belles Book 3) by Pamela Gibson – Review by Charlene Pryke

Sweet Vengeance (Mission Belles #3)Sweet Vengeance by Pamela Gibson
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This is the first book that I have read of Pamela Gibson and although it is book 3 in the Mission Belles series I read it as a stand alone novel. In hindsight I feel that some background knowledge from the previous 2 books would have helped with knowledge of characters and character development. It took till the last 3/4 of the book before my interest was completely captured and then I found it hard to put down. Elena set out to kill Sean as revenge for her brother’s death but in the end Sean’s sweet nature and the hard truth won her heart.
