Underboss’s Retaliation (Sicilian Gods Series) by Via Mari – Review by Kristin Boutelle

Underboss's Retaliation (Sicilian Gods Book 2)Underboss’s Retaliation by Via Mari
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Underboss’s Retaliation is the second book in the series that flows seamlessly from the first book, Boss’s Vendetta. I love how the story goes from Salvatore’s story (the first book) to Dominic’s point of view. There are always multiple events going on to keep you on your toes. The main characters are dealing with their own issues and need to figure it out, this will keep you anticipating what’s going to happen next.

Boss’s Vendetta is a very busy book. There are a lot of events to keep track of and the author is very good at keeping the story flowing seamlessly. I love how the characters interact with each other and how the Larussio’s are very protective over their family. If you love action and romance at the same time then this book is for you.

Murder on oak streetMurder on oak street by I. M. Foster
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Murder on Oak Street was a very great read even though it was a slow start. The pace of the story did pick up after a bit. The plot and the characters in the story were very good at intermingling. All of the plot twists kept you on your toes and kept you wondering what was going to happen next. I like how the story is based on how the characters behaved in the early 1900’s.

Mis-Spelled: Book One of the Stellaluna ChroniclesMis-Spelled: Book One of the Stellaluna Chronicles by T.H. Leatherman
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Mis-Spelled: Book One of the Stellaluna Chronicles is a great read to enjoy just because. The way the author incorporates humor into the fantasy realm is awesome. All of the readers should be able to get the humor the main character uses throughout the story. One thing that stood out while reading this novel, all of the characters compliment each other. The main character, Evan, making friends with the unlikeliest of them all. Evan just brings a different perspective to the story rather than what people always thought problems should be handled.

Musical Murder Mystery Boxed Set by K.L. Montgomery – Review by Kristin Boutelle

Musical Murder Mystery Boxed Set #1Musical Murder Mystery Boxed Set #1 by K.L. Montgomery
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Musical Murder Series is definitely one of a kind. I like how each book flows easily into the next one. The way the author incorporates the musical the characters are working on in the story and the murder mysteries work really well together. All of the characters are very personable and are very in sync with each other. Also there is enough drama in the story, between the characters and the mystery to keep the story going and not focus on only one aspect at a time but multiple aspects.
