Lost Hollow: A Small Town Science Fiction Romance (Alienville Series Book 1) by Donna S. Frelick. This is the first book in this series and I can’t wait for the 2nd book. This book kept me busy flipping pages until the very last page! I loved it! Its the story of Moria whose twin sister Claire has gone missing on her way to visit. She has vanished without a trace. Moria is left empty handed at every turn and everyone in town is helping her. The cute Chief of police is also helping, Seth Call is the chief and he has a pretty good idea of what happened to her sister. Its the same weird things that happen in this town but its very hard to explain to someone not from there. The chemistry between Moria & Seth is sizzling and throw in a little Sci Fi and you have got a Romantic Suspense that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Do yourself a favor and read this amazing book and get hooked just like I did!

The Predator was a great contemporary romance by Brooke May, who has a wonderful skill at her craft. What an amazing talent she has for developing characters that are so realistic and placing them into storylines that you can’t help but get invested in. This story starts in the present tense but not long into the story you go into the past and spend almost the entire story in the past, as our main character tells her best friend her life story. By the time you are about finished with the story, you get to come back to the present, and boy are there some unexpected huge surprises waiting for you! I was hooked from the moment I opened this book; I could not put it down I read this in one sitting and couldn’t help myself to jump right into the next book in the series. The author stands true to her writing style in that she works hard to create such dimensional characters that will have you laughing and crying right alongside them as you follow through their heartbreak and the battles that they go through. Every good romance must have some contention to bring you to the big finish, well this book brings you right to a cliffhanger, so be prepared! This was the first book I had picked up by this author, but the cover looked really cute, so I gave it a chance. I’m so glad that I did because it was such a wonderful experience! I’m from a small town, and the author seemed to have captured the feel of it perfectly. The very beginning grabbed my attention and refused to let go as I read about this second chance romance. Cameron and Jessie are fantastic characters that encounter some very dramatic situations that will fill you with suspense. I have enjoyed this writing style very much and will continue to look for more books by this author. I highly recommend picking it up if you enjoy romantic suspense novels about second-chance romances!

Wow, my goodness to say I throughly enjoyed this book is a understatement. This book grabbed me and didn’t let go right from the start. This author did a wonderful job of making this book interesting and easy to relate to, for anyone who’s ever been in a bad relationship or even to anyone who is just starting to develop feelings for someone.
Cadence is so relatable at points in this book it’s like looking in a mirror, the ups and downs this girl faces with juggling her friendships long distance to trying to maintain her relationship is nothing else if not entertaining. I find myself eager to see her get riled up and angry because watching the explosions is fun. She’s witty, and funny, and quirky, while managing to have a softer vulnerable side that she doesn’t show often but when she does it’s a real treat.
Damien is on the outside, the epitome of a up and coming rockstar. But underneath his friendly, outgoing facade he’s full of emotions that he doesn’t share with anyone. He’s got a lot going on in his life and doesn’t quite know how to handle it all, which in turn just kind of shuts him down more. But thankfully throughout this book he really opens up once he meets cadence and they hit it off.
So here’s the run down, girl goes to concert with sister to see new band she loves,girls finance stays home because he’s to good for that sort of thing, girl meets hot moody rocker, guy and girl do not hit it off, but have weird attraction to one another nonetheless. Girl and guy end up seeing each other more and more, start to develop a friendship that’s sexually charged from the get go, unfortunately girl still has fiancé, whom treats her less than great a lot of the time. Girl starts to realize she deserves better and she’s unhappy and thus the story unfolds.
Though it’s definitely not as cut and dry as that, the relationships maintained and made in this book are nothing if not whole heartedly relatable. Between her and her sister and her long time home town friends to her strained relationship with her fiancé and her new budding friendship with her rockstar, I devoured every word this book had to offer. I cannot wait to read more from this author!

Tootsie is up for an audition and that means all the “important helpers are there”. However you need to read in between the lines to find some people and there reasoning for being there, at least in my opinion. I honestly can’t wait for the next book. Sparky is an amazing kid and isn’t so sure of herself. She tends to get into a lot of trouble with any and everything she does. She has two wonderful adults “looking” after her. She has a few friends, lets be real, her only friend is Bobby. But there is a new comer, Cornelius and he might just give Bobby a run for his money when it comes to Sparky.

This is a series that I have enjoyed reading from the first book I picked up. This is the eleventh book in this series. I highly suggest reading the previous books as well. They are just as great as this one. I enjoy how the author is able to pull me into the character’s world from the start. I also enjoy the attention to details that this author puts into her book to make them come to life. This book is no different. This is a well written story that is full of steam, vampires and has a dark twist to it. The characters are creative and connectable. They add so much to the story which makes it easy and entertaining to read. I enjoyed the growth throughout the story which also made it hard to put down. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to the next book in this series.

I cannot recommend this book enough! I was hooked from the beginning and had an extremely hard time putting it down when I had to do adult things and stuff. I laughed, I cried, I was heartbroken, I was fixed…I went through so many emotions while reading this book and I want you to experience them too! I’m a huge sucker for good character development and let me just say…Terry has outdone herself with her characters. Both MC’s are relatable but Cadence really spoke to my heart on so many levels. This is the fourth book in the Tally and the Angel series. These books are written for middle school aged children and are great adventures which are entertaining for children of all ages. I love the authors attention to detail and I’m this book we focus on Greek Mythology. We are back with Tally and her angel who we meet in book one and since then we have been on several adventures and this one is no exception. Tally’s angel is there to guide and protect her from danger and is a sense of comfort to Tally since the passing of her mum. Tally has always listened to her angels warnings and cautions however things maybe changing. As Tally is getting older she starts to notice boys and when she is visiting the greek islands with her father one boy called Theo catches her eye. However things aren’t what they seem and what unfolds is an adventure that has danger, excitement, mythological beings and an important decision which could change the relationship between Tally and her angel for good. I do highly recommend these books and my son loves me reading them to him. I would recommend reading them in order so you can get a complete understanding of Tally and her angel and how they came to be together and the adventures they have already been on together.

The next installment in the series and it did not disappoint! I love the homage Levinson is paying to different murder-mystery legends throughout this series. Lexie is a favorite character of mine. I love her grit and determination to find out whodunit. There are so many twists and turns in this novel that I got whiplash! I love Levinson’s writing style and the way she develops her characters. She also keeps her plot line on point and moving. I will say that I found this plot to be a little complex, but I loved it. If you are looking for something that will make you sit down and think while you’re reading, then pick up this one! Reviewed by @meggs1717

I absolutely loved the other books and couldn’t wait to for this one. I have to say it did not disappoint either. It was another engaging story of tally and her little guardian angle that helps her along the way. tally is a very strong-willed girl that kind of does her own thing and seem to always get in a little trouble but ends up winning in the end. And once again this story did the same. This book was very well written and developed with the characters that it making you really feel like you know them personally. This one sweeps us off to Greece and learning about today’s culture, but also, it has a little Greek Mythology twisted into this story. this book was very intriguing, and I couldn’t put it down like the other ones, highly recommend thou you start at the beginning.

I really enjoyed this ‘what if’, second chance story and it kept me captivated throughout. Josie is given the chance for a ‘do-over’ of her teenage years, but whether she makes the same mistakes again is up to her. Josie’s life revolves around her children and her career, and is going through a divorce. When her husband threatens to take the children and then with her business at risk of failing, she suffers a panic attack. She then finds herself waking up thirty years in the past, in her teenage bedroom. She then has to relive her senior year at high school, which she found emotionally devastating the first time round. That year she cut her father out of her life, turned away the boy she loved and caused her best friend to sever ties. Josie is determined to get back to her own time and to her children. She tries to fix the mistakes she made, hoping that righting those wrongs will send her back to the present. But then she’s tempted by her high school crush to take a second chance at love. However, this may result in her losing everything she has in her future. The likeable and relatable Josie has a dilemma and I felt invested in her story. This is an enjoyable and engaging read which kept me happily turning the pages.

I may have found my favorite in this series. Master Bistrita and Chara’s story is one of fiesty independence, spitfire, and who’s in control. Alas, book 11 of the series, this means we are close to the end of the series. I have followed this since book 1. The best way to read this series is in order so that you can understand what’s going on. I do like how the characters start to tie things together. As the story has gone along, all the Masters and their mates have followed into the next story and made an appearance. This story is fast-paced, lots of paranormal action. There’s even some steamy romance. There are lots of twists mixed in the story. I can’t wait for the final book. This is a must read if you like dark vampire reads.

This is the third book of the series. It is a MMF romance. It is set in the 1800’s Los Angeles. Matty goes to live with Nico after Matty’s father beats him again, things start to heat up between them two. The two boys get separated, and after sometime Nico meets Eden. The two decide to marry, and that’s when they run into Matty.
Having read and enjoyed the first book in this series I was looking forward to being back with amateur sleuth Professor Lexie Driscoll, and I was not disappointed. Once again I wished I could be a member of her ‘Golden Age of Mystery Bookclub’! This time they are discussing Josephine Tey’s (a favourite author of mine) books. However, Lexie gets a surprise when her sister Gayle turns up and is terrified for her life. Gayle was a witness to her boyfriend’s murder and now fears his killers could come for her. When a man’s body is found in Lexie’s backyard, Gayle runs. Lexie decides to investigate and is determined to discover the truth. She soon learns that the bookclub members have secrets. Lexie has to contend with more murders and unexpected revelations as she investigates. I was once again drawn into Lexie’s world, along with quirky characters and an intriguing whodunnit. The descriptive narrative brings both the characters and the setting to life, making me feel immersed in the story. The plot of Josephine Tey’s novels are cleverly weaved into the storyline and help Lexie in her investigations. The plot kept me guessing due to the numerous red herrings, which I enjoy. An enjoyable and engaging cozy mystery and I look forward to being back with the bookclub soon.

I really Liked this one! It was hot and steamy which I loved. It’s the 3rd in the Shattered Embrace series. I would recommend reading the first 2 before this one. They take you into a world of Dominance and Submissiveness. Derek and Justine’s chemistry is so good! Derek is dominant and Justine is doing her dissertation so needs Derek to show her how to be submissive and make her understand the shifts in power. She loves it! It’s so descriptive and sexy! They have such great chemistry. Highly recommend it!
Rachel and Miguel are just fantastic together. We meet them both in the first book of this trilogy and they haven’t disappointed me at all. I adore how they interact and their playful witty banter. I couldn’t stop smiling during the trip to the Zoo and the events that happened at the restaurant late that day. This book is every bit (if not better) as good as the first in the series. They can be read as a stand-alone, but you will want to read the first book anyway so JUST Go for it.

Unexpected Heroes by Naomi Valkyrie is a MM Romance that once you start reading its hard to put down until you’ve finished it. I’ve read several books by this author but this one is honestly my favorite yet. I first read this story when it was part of an Anthology so I knew I had to have it. I loved the characters, they are purely the heart and soul of this story. My emotions were all over the place with this story. Elijah and Jude both have been hurt and are trying to move on in their own ways. Elijah has Griffin his son to take care of . Things are about to change when he meets their new neighbor Jude. This is a short story but is fast paced. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I’m looking forward to reading more from this Author.

Secrets, Lies, and Betrayals by Lynn Wood is book 1 in The Protect and Honor Series. It’s also the first book I have read by this author. This is a political thriller, with some romance, a little drama, suspense, and intrigue. It’s definitely one of those books that grab you in the beginning and doesn’t let you go until the end. The characters are lifelike, believable, and could jump right off the page. I also really liked how we were able to see the story from different point of views which helps to immerse your self in the story and see it as a whole which I’ve always really enjoyed. I’m looking forward to book 2.

This is the fifth book of The Olympic Peninsula series. Having read the last four book, I was extremely excited for this next installment to be released. I was not surprised in the least that just like the others I loved the book. Still being set in the “ olden days” as my nieces and nephews like to say ( im like it wasn’t even that long ago,Ii was born around then😭 😂” the best time the 90s. Cat Treadgold has yet again built some amazing characters that blend perfectly into the fantastic World she has already developed. It’s a fast pace read that flows, with chemistry, drama, and silence that pop off the pages. I wish I could go back and reread the series for the first time again lol but I will 100 percent put this in my reread pile !I look forward to seeing more work from this author.

The synopsis of the book piqued my interest even though I typically do not read books with politics as a major part of the story. I was happily surprised to find that I thoroughly enjoyed this book and cannot wait to pick up the next in the series.
This book follows our main character Lea living her second, fake life. Her original life she was Michaela Manning. As a young child that survived the assassination of her grandfather she was put into a new life to protect her. Living the quiet life away from the public is ruined when her father runs for office. Lea must now learn who she can trust as she goes on the run.
The characters in the story are fleshed out with depth that makes them relatable and real feeling. The author takes you on a twisty ride of surprise, suspense, and action with a dash of romance sprinkled in.

This is the first book I have read by this author and in this series, but with it being a prequel I figured it was a great place to start! It feels like a cool rockstar romance, and the author warned me that it contains spoilers and I read on anyways. I love it when a book is told from multiple points of view, so this was right up my alley as we followed Mavrick, Callum, and Becka’s stories. Each chapter following one of the three characters allows me to dig a little deeper into each personality. The development of the characters and the plot felt natural and unfolded at a wonderful pace. Don’t forget to read the content warnings that the author so graciously provided for you. I appreciate that they want people to know what they’re getting into to an extent. I am very excited to start picking up the next books in the series and see what this author has created with the Blind Rebels!
Murder the Tey Way is the second book in the Golden Age of Mystery Bookclub, and it was as good as the first one.
Lexie Driscoll has found herself embroiled in yet another murder mystery. Her sister, Gayle, whom she hasn’t seen in years, shows up, and she is terrified. She witnessed her boyfriend being killed, and she now lives in fear. She is confident the killer is now coming after her. Not long after Gayle’s arrival, they discover a dead man in Lexie’s backyard. After getting the story from her sister, Gayle flees again.
As she becomes involved in this investigation, she also discovers her bookclub members have secrets, and then a member of her bookclub is also murdered. Are the two murders connected, and what are the members of the club hiding?
As with the first book, the twists, turns, and pacing make it a great mystery. There is also some added romance. Lexie finds herself torn between two men who are completely different from one another, yet both could give her a life she yearns for. However, she has her own issues with commitment to work through. She fears making a grave mistake again, making it hard to trust anyone. I also enjoyed the references to Josephine Tey.
I’m looking forward to the next book in the series and to seeing what new crime our favorite professor will be involved in.

Love Rinkside is the only book I’ve read from the Playmakers series so far. I was expecting a light hearted romance but I wasn’t anticipating the wit and humor this author had to offer. As entertaining as I found this book, it wasn’t all laughs, the main characters were really realistic with true, complex personalities which made this story and the characters really relatable. Even though I hadn’t read any other books in the series, I never felt lost or confused reading this novella. It definitely sparked an interest in other characters and their storylines though!

Raccoon Reunion by Terri Sabol. This is such a fun book for kids with a very important lesson as well. Its about a raccoon named Rocky who is going to a family reunion. Rocky has never met most of these people and is so nervous about going and seeing strangers. When they arrive Rocky shuts down and won’t talk to anyone. He finally realizes that its ok to meet strangers and they can be quite fun. I read this story to my 6 year old nephew and he loved it. He struggles with anxiety as do I and the book is super relatable. This author is becoming one of our favorites. Its also got really cook pictures in it. This is a great book for the young one in your life!
The Sins of Men: An American Revolutionary War Drama (The Peter Smith Chronicles-American Revolution Historical Fiction series) by Danny J Bradbury. This is such a good book. Its written so well that I felt like I was in the middle of the Revolutionary War! The story begins with Peter Beale who is a from a very poor family in England. Peter ends up stealing food for his large family and ends up in jail. Thru prison he is put in His Majesty’s Navy as a cabin boy under Captain Auger on the HMS Progress. This prison was horrible but Peter’s not too sure this is any better. Peter is assigned to assist the cook, clean the deck and personally bring the Captain his food. When alone with the Captain bad things happen and not just to Peter but all young boys. He eventually escapes from the boat and arrives in America and is adopted by a wealthy family. This book was written so well that I didn’t want to put it down and I zoomed thru it. Such a great historical fictional read!
