This book right here was short and sweet. It was a great laugh but also a good lesson learned. My daughter loved it. This author has yet to disappoint on a book. Great book to read to your kid at bedtime.
Oscar and Emmy Foster Kittens by Terri Sabol is part of the Oscar and Emmy Series. This was the first book I have ever read in this series. It is so cute and educational. We follow Charlie and Abby twin siblings who love their cats Oscar and Emmy. The family decides to foster baby kittens. The story is so cute and heartwarming. It also helps explains to kids in an easy-to-understand way the responsibilities that go into fostering an animal. While also showing how rewarding it can be. This is a great read for young children. Especially to help them understand the concept of fostering. The illustrations were also really cute. This is a 5 out of 5 stars for me!

This is a really cute children’s book that follows a monkey maître d’ as they serve different types of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to the animals in the zoo. It’s a rhyming book so it is very catchy and sing-songy. The illustrations are amazing and go along so well with the words on the page. The colors are nice and bright and will catch the eye of any kiddo. It’s funny and will have kids laughing at how the different animals like their PB&J’s and it may even have them saying “EWWW!” a few times too. This is a great children’s book to add to your rotation.

I have loved all of the books in this series, but this one may just be my favorite! I read it with my 8-year-old and 12-year-old kiddos who also loved it. I feel like the author does an amazing job explaining the process of fostering animals and not just including only the fun parts. We always love the illustrations and these beautiful pictures fit in well with the rest of the series. It promotes reducing the crowds in animal shelters and explains how much fostering benefits everyone involved! I highly recommend picking up this lighthearted but incredibly educational book on fostering kitties. It would be a wonderful fit for your home or your classroom!
I absolutely adore this book! This is the second installment in the Hot Flash Hookups series and my favorite so far. I loved Kaitlyn and Banks’s characters independently and together. Their banter, their stubbornness, and their chemistry…OMG their chemistry. Ray and Stewart had my hooked from the beginning and I couldn’t put this one down! They way they do a slow burn is phenomenal! And this book is a slow, slow burn in the best of ways. I love the other tropes as well: forced proximity, forbidden love (agent & player), he falls first (a personal fav), and many more. The character development is *chef’s kiss* as is the plot line. I cannot wait to get my hands on the next installment! I highly recommend grabbing this book…it’s a fantastic sports romance with just a bit of spice. A great pallet cleanser if you are looking for something a bit lighter in-between the darker readings 😉 Reviewed by @meggs1717

One book written by 10 authors!! What a fun way to write a series! First book I have ever read that was a 10 author collaboration. And it certainly didn’t disappoint!! Aeris is a Fae from the mystical realm of Laric. She has unique air abilities and uses glamour to walk around New Orleans. Not being aloud to leave her realm and being forbidden to be around humans doesn’t stop her one bit. One day while out in the world she bumps into Detective Callum, which would normally be fine. Written off as a stumble or someone else just miss stepping into him, but not this time! Callum can actually see Aeris! No human has ever been able to see past her glamour. None! This is bad. So, so bad. Fae-Human unions are forbidden and her secrets are also her realms’ livelihood. Callum has never seen anyone like Aeris. She’s captivating, mystical, and of course beautiful. His life is about to be turned upside down and he has no clue. A world of magic has been hidden in plain sight and he never knew. He certainly does now!! This is the second book that I have read by this author and it is just as good as the previous one. I loved how this story was told ad the characters and everything about it. I connected with them from the moment I started reading and became so invested in them so quickly. The author created meaningful and impactful characters that I wanted to know more about. The storyline was just as good as the characters. I was drawn in from the start and could not wait to see how things would play out. It isn’t very often I feel the need to comment on a book cover but each book I have read by this author has the most gorgeous and captivating covers. These alone would have driven me to pick up the books. This book is fantastic, well written and one I would highly recommend.
This book is the third book in the trilogy and I would highly recommend reading them in order. It was great to get back into this story and the character and seeing the conclusion of the story I have become invested in. I was looking forward to seeing how everything would play out and I think the author did the series justice. This author was a relatively new author to me when I started reading this series but this it has definitely cemented the fact that I will be reading more from her. Her writing style makes it easy to engage with the story and I enjoyed reading this series from start to finish. I am looking forward to seeing what else this author has to offer.

I wasn’t familiar with this book, author or series when I started reading so I was pleasantly surprised to find this was a historical story, as well as being a mystery. I thought this book was a brilliant mystery story. I loved watching it all play out and the characters piece everything together. I was right there with them trying to figure out what had happened and who was responsible. The way the author has created this story, weaving it all together, is so well done. It had me pulled in from the start and I couldn’t stop myself from reading the book to find out what was going on. I kept thinking I had figured it out until the author would add more to the story. This is a brilliant book and I am looking forward to reading more.

I loved reading the first book in this series and this book is definitely just as good. I thought the characters brought this story to life and I loved the connection between them. The constant push and pull, their chemistry, it all made the book so much better to read. I thought the overall story was great as well. Sylvie Stewart is an author I always enjoy reading and this collaboration between authors is just as good. I think their writing styles work really well together and it made the book even more interesting to read. I am definitely looking forward to reading more from this series.

I was so excited to get my hands on the next book on this series. By book 10, most series have started to wan and lose their grip on me but this one just keeps getting better and better. I was pulled straight into these books and the characters. I loved getting to know them and discovering even more about this world I have come to love. This author really has an interesting writing style. Her books have a dark and intense feeling to them and yet they are so easy to read because of how well written they are. This series has easily become one of my favourite to read and I cannot wait to see what else this author has to offer.

This book is a fantastic and fun children’s story, and is one that is entertaining from start to finish. It is a completely engaging story that really caught my kids attention right from the word go. They loved the idea of getting stuck to a giant sweet and really found it funny that this happened to the character. This author really knows how to write brilliant children’s books. They are a firm favourite in our house and with each book we just love her even more. This book has been added to the collection of ones we will read multiple times (and already have) and I am sure it will be joined by many from this author.
This book was so incredible!! Not only does it keep you turning the page, but you absolutely get to know each and every person in this story. It is amazing that it is wrote by 10 authors. Well done to the authors for working to create a great book.

Hell in a Handbasket is Book Three in the Life is Hell series. Although this book can be read as a standalone, I recommend reading the other books in this series because they are amazing. This book focuses on Teivel, a demon, and Oren, a demon hunter who are natural enemies. Teivel has returned to Juniper Lake, a place that he keeps getting drawn to for some unexplainable reason. When a hybrid baby is dropped off on Oren’s doorstep, the two must work together to protect him. Teivel was mentioned in previous books briefly, but this book goes more in depth about his character. We learn that there is more to him than originally meets the eye. Most would think that he is a world class jerk, but it turns out that there is more to him than that. There is a strong attraction between Teivel and Oren even though there is no reason how a demon and a demon hunter could possibly be in any sort of a relationship or fall in love for that matter. This was another wonderful book written by an extremely talented author. Her writing style is not only unique and creative but her characters are quirky and fun.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. If you don’t know much about ballet, like myself, you won’t find yourself lost. The author makes it easy to understand and even though it is a big portion of what the book is about; you will get swept away with all the suspense. I wasn’t sure what I was getting myself into with this book but I am so glad that I took that chance to read it. This book had so much suspense and it was so well written. It is one of those books where you think you’ve gotten everything figured out and then there is a curveball that you didn’t see coming and everything you thought just goes out the window. I truly didn’t expect the book to go the way it did and I completely loved it. There is romance in this book that is sprinkled throughout all the suspense. I just really loved this book. I can’t get into the specifics about it because I know that I will give away spoilers and I don’t want that because I want every reader to be as surprised as I was. This is a very enchanting tale ,a fun children fantasy story, book full of magic, elemental guardians who balance life and full of animalistic powers. Amese is a 13 year old who reluctantly steps up to be an elemental guardian. Now she is on an epic adventure understanding other animal cultures and traditions. In her growth and transformation, she has a feeling that she has many enemies who are waiting to shove her down, a feeling, we all very well can connect to. But her newly made friends help her see the way. It is a wonderful story, I so loved it and was able to connect to it. Cannot wait to read the sequels.

When they get the chance to foster three kittens, they learn both the joys and responsibilities of fostering animals. The children learn about responsibility, compassion, and nurturing not just a kitten, but this could be applied to all pets. As with all the books in this series, the author does an amazing job of teaching children about the responsibilities of pet ownership. The bright colorful illustrations really help to bring the story to life.

This is the 4th book in the Full Throttle Cyborg series. This is a sci-fi romance with a enemies to lovers story. It is also full of action, adventure, fast cars, lies, gangs, betrayal and revenge. I was immediately captivated by this authors world building skills. It was so easy to picture and imagine yourself in the places the author was describing.
Dakota ‘Drag’ Michelson has only truelly loved one woman in his life but when Bridget betrayed him and framed him for murder the only thing he felt for her was hate. Or so he thought. With a big championship race looming the last thing he needs is a distraction and Bridget is one big distraction.
Bridget has always gone after what she wants in life no matter what she has to do or who she hurts in the process. Now she wants to be free of the gang she finds herself and the only person that can help her is Drag. After she tried to sabatage the race and her spy was uncovered she knows the only thing left to do is join forces with Drag. But Drag won’t be fooled twice. He doesn’t trust Bridget at all. After she did last time how could he possible trust her. But as old feelings start to resurface is the need for revenge going to be the only driving force? With love and hate being so close how can you tell you’ve crossed the line from one to another?
This was a fast paced story full of twists and turns. I loved the duel prospective which really brings the characters to life and makes them feel more real.

I really liked the artwork in this book. Poor Mr. Bonbon, trying to figure out how to get Annabelle from stealing candy. I have to say Annabelle gets what she deserves with the marshmallow bunny, although in the end she tricks Mr. Bonbon. I like that he doesn’t get angry with her in the end, just kind of resigned to the fact that he will have to figure out how to stop her in the future.

Mealtime At the Zoo: PB & J Café is a really cute and fun, children’s illustrated story by James Williamson. My grandson and I had lots of fun following James the monkey as he delivered lunch to all the animals at the zoo. The specialty of the day- PB & J sandwiches all made to order- served just the way the animals liked- some even with ‘special’ ingredients added to suit the individual animals. The story is accompanied by lots of lovely, bright, colourful, interesting, and captivating illustrations — which brought the whole story to life. It is a charming little adventure – told in a rhyming verse that adds a fun tempo, as well as an extra element of interest to the whole story. We look forward to reading more of Mr. Williamson’s stories again, soon. Happy Reading…

You know after reading the first two I just had to run to read this one. The Life is Hell Series is getting so good! Just like the first ones this is a quick read but no less fantastic. So like MM romance isn’t my usual go to trope, but the way the author wrote this I couldn’t put it down. I’m pretty sure I’ve said this before but this author really knows how to write a paranormal book, really knows how to make the subject her own with her unique take. Teivel and Oren story was probably my second fave of the series of the series so far . Ohhhhh I can’t wait to see what characters Naomi Valkyrie writes about next. If you haven’t done so i highly recommend you go to the beginning of this series even if you don’t have to you’ll want too 🙂

So I think this story might be my favorite so far in the series. I appreciate that each story is standalone, but it’s definitely helpful to have read the whole series to really get a full understanding of what is going on. We have vampires, werewolves, witches, and humans all working together to defeat the rogue traitors trying to drag everything back to the way it was centuries ago. Oradea’s territory has been invaded by the rogues and he is determined to take them out. He doesn’t count on meeting and immediately being drawn to protect Natalia, a human whose brothers are involved in the syndicate. Neither of them have any intentions of wanting the other, but the temptation becomes too great. I loved that this story really carried a lot of the plotline with the rogues even further and definitely had me reading quickly to discover what was going to happen. Plenty of action, romance, betrayal, love, twists, turns, and steamy in this book. I can’t wait to read the next book and see what happens.

Touched is an action, adventure, and forbidden romance all rolled into one story. Oh yeah, don’t forget the supernatural element. The author brings the reader into a world that’s complicated and mysterious. There’s the human world of New Orleans but the fantasy world of Laric. Introducing the reader to a slew of characters and different supernatural species to boot. Aeris has a sense for adventure and exploring. She’s a fae who is constantly crossing the wards into the human world. An aspect about herself she does plan to change until she “zings” with her kindred. What she never expected was she would find her kindred in the human world. Now she will do anything and everything to make sure he’s safe, including leaving her family. Will it be enough? Callum was going about his day as he normally would, till this beautiful woman ran into him he just can’t seem to let go. However he doesn’t realize talking to her makes him a crazy person to everyone outside of his conversation. Why? Because he’s the only one who can see her. And seeing her is exactly what happens. A deep connection he can’t explain. That is until he gets some sort of explanation. He finds out she’s a fae, finds out he’s not completely human but a Sylph, finds out there are Rougarou aka werewolves in the human world and they are out to drink his blood and kill him. Besides trying to run his everyday life as a detective that may very well be left to take the fall on a potentially botched operation. Not that his superiors know what really happened. Will they escape the Rougarou? Can he trust anyone he works with to tell them the truth about the Trahans? Will the elders ever accept a Fae/Sylph bonding? So many questions. So much going on. It can be confusing at first but if you can break down the different themes it gets interesting. It says book 1 so I look forward to future stories in this world.

Touched was a quick, entertaining read. It takes place in New Orleans, LA and, at first, is very reminiscent of the Wicked series by Jennifer L. Armentrout. Which also takes place on New Orleans. I found LeBlanc and many of the supporting characters fun to read. Though this has multiple authors, it reads as though there was only one. I look forward to reading the next installment when it is released.

Aeris is spunky and curious which leads to her interaction with Callum, the attraction is instant. Can love conquer all? This book is so well written you wouldn’t be able to tell it was written by ten authors. This book is jam packed full of magic and mystery but the true magic is how all these authors came together to write one cohesive piece. It does have smut in so beware but other than that it’s a great read.

This book is very interesting. It has a good mixture of romance, action, and humor. You are drawn in by the main characters, Drag and Bridget, and their tension but love for each other even though circumstances has caused them to drift apart. This book keeps you engaged to the very end and is worth every second you spend reading it.

This was an interesting cozy historical mystery. A who-done-it until the very end making the reader wonder who was the culprit. There are many twists and turns, danger, and drama in this fast paced murder mystery that is sure to grab your attention!
