My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wedding War (Romance in Rehoboth Book 5) is the fifth book in the series and such a joy. It is crazy and wonderful and unexpected. How KL comes up with the ideas she does I would love to know. Because if it is based on anything real then I need to know. I laughed until I cried and it was just what I needed to escape reality. I absolutely love the band of friends who are more than happy to help out with any wild and crazy things needed when helping friends in need. It is almost a slap stick at it’s best.

Shift Happens: A Paranormal Romantic Comedy (New Orleans Nocturnes Book 2) by Carrie Pulkinen – Review by Jana Teppih

Shift Happens (New Orleans Nocturnes, #2)Shift Happens by Carrie Pulkinen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Shift Happens is the second book in Carrie Pulkinen’s New Orleans Nocturnes series and this time we are hanging out with witches and werewolves! You can read it as a standalone but why would you not start with book one if you love New Orleans and paranormal romantic comedy AND the heroine is Shift Happens heroine’s friend!
Shift Happens picks up where License to Bite left off. Jane’s friend Sophie is in trouble and she is not very competent as a witch. She gets accidentally bitten by Trace Thibodeaux, a smoking hot werewolf who is investigating Sophie as his pack has been cursed and guess who is the suspect … right, Sophie …
I promise you that you will laugh a lot – Sophie has a mouth on her and she lets it fly! Trace is an alpha and hot as sin and their chemistry is through the roof! I would not mind being investigated by Trace either if this is how he does it!
Shift Happens is a quick read that leaves you reaching for the next one in the series!

Rise (The Larussio Legacy Book 2) by Via Mari – Review by Kayla Interdonato

Rise (The Larussio Legacy, #2)Rise by Via Mari
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Rise is the second book in The Larussio Legacy series by Via Mari. This book was full of romance and suspense. Giovanni Larussio is the don of a powerful family in Italy and he is getting ready to run the largest casino in Vegas. On a trip back to Italy his world is rocked. Serena Moretti’s family had suffered for years at the hands of Gio’s cousins, but he has since made that right because of his relationship with her. Bad things happen to her and her family because of her ties with Gio. He will do anything to protect her but can his ultimate enemies get the best of him? Will Serena’s family ever understand her wanting to be with Gio and not see it as betrayal? This book was full of suspense from the beginning, the author did a magnificent job roping me in from the very beginning. I liked the suspenseful and thrill side of this story, but I also loved the sexy side of Gio and Serena. Their relationship is steamy and hot, I couldn’t get enough of them. I’m officially hooked on this series.

All The Wrong Reasons by Erin Bevan is a Serendipity Falls novel. This is a brilliant novel with entertaining characters and such a well written story line. A Moore Affair (Moore Family Saga #4)A Moore Affair by Michele Sims
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The author had me gripped from page one with this novel, which is book four in Sims’s ‘Moore Family Saga’ series. I read this as a standalone story and thoroughly enjoyed it but I would personally recommend reading this series in order as the characters have all been introduced in previous books and you would appreciate the story better. Having said that I adored the fascinating characters especially the two main characters Bella Wahlberg and her fiancé and soon to be husband, performer extraordinaire and music mogul, Miles “Ari” Moore. I loved the relationship the two had and how they have to overcome the many obstacles throughout this novel and their steamy chemistry sizzled off the page. This was a romance with added drama and a background of spectacular scenery, from Miles and Bella’s wedding in Scotland, to their honeymoon in Paris and then Italy. I look forward to reading the previous books in the series and any future ones.

Anger (Hero High Book 2) by Mina Chara – Review by Lianne Probert

  1. Anger (Hero High, #2)Anger by Mina Chara
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Anger is the second book in the Hero High series. This story follows on from where book one finishes, so I would definitely recommend reading that first.
The story continues to follow Friday Fitzsimmons as she begins her second year at Hero High. Hero High is a school for superheroes in training, but also a reality TV show. This story sees many recurring characters from book one, which I always enjoy, and some new faces too.
I love the character of Friday, and this second instalment helps you get to know her even better. She is strong and fierce, yet vulnerable enough to make her extremely relatable. When Friday finds herself battling unknown bad guys and threats, she doesn’t know who she can trust or turn to. She must rely on her own judgements to solve this mystery.
If you are a fan of Young Adult, superhero or futuristic books then this will definitely tick those boxes.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the third book in this series, it keeps getting better and better. I enjoy this author and her writing skills make the stories engaging, fast paced and easy to read. I enjoyed the characters, I found myself easily connecting to them. In this installment Crimson’s spells always go bad. When the high priestess threatens to bind her powers, her reaction is to challenge her to a battle that she doesn’t have a chance to win. What will happen when a demon named Mike makes a deal that could change everything for Crimson? The chemistry between all the characters kept me turning pages fast just to see what would happen at the end. I highly recommend reading this book to find out who wins this battle and if a witch’s soul is saved.

I loved this book. This is a series I have read from the beginning and each book just keeps getting better and better. This author continues to impress me with each book she writes which keeps me coming back to her. I highly suggest reading all of the books in this series to get to know each character. The characters bring heart and action to the story and make it feel realistic. This installment is about what happens when you start questioning if there is something better out there. Do you go after it, giving up everything and finding out or do you realize what you have is all you want? This is a fast paced story that I read in one sitting, a real page turner. My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Stage Mom by K.L Montgomery a five-star read that will astound you. This is number six in the Romance in Rehoboth series and its strangely my favourite, I say that as its not like the rest of the series, this one just has that little extra or lots of something little extras and they won’t appeal to everyone but they just made the whole thing extra for me. There are some moments in this story that I didn’t enjoy and I did want to throat punch some people, but overall there was something extra about the writing and something made me tear up one moment and smile like my face was breaking at others. Thank you for writing this series I’m sure it will be a re-read multiple times for me.

Anger (Hero High, #2)Anger by Mina Chara
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A perfect young adult book especially for those who are just entering into the young adult genre and want to ease into a story that flows easily.

This is the second instalment of the Hero High series and starts just where the first book left off so although you could follow it fine without reading book one, I’d encourage you to read book one first so you can really delve into life at Hero High and get to know the characters better.
Anger didn’t disappoint, it followed well from book one and the story intensified, I enjoyed following the characters development and got pulled in quickly to keep reading and see what was going to happen. I love the descriptions in Mina Charas’ writing a lot, they really bring the story to life.

A very enjoyable read

Wedding War by K.L Montgomery a five-star read that will make you want to go to war. This is number five in the Romance in Rehoboth series, but each one can be read as stand alone as they are set in the same place but feature a different couple. Hannah and Jason will make you smile, they will make you fight on their behalf. The back and forth is amazing and will just make you chuckle so hard, all of these stories have been good, but this one just seems to have that extra spark.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is one of my favorite young adult series I have read in a long time. I absolutely love a good fantasy romance but this author exceeded all my expectations. This is the second book from the Hero High series. You need to read the first book in order to understand what is going on. I was so excited when I got this book I stopped everything and started to read it immediately. I could not put this book down until the last page and now I want more. I can’t wait to see what will happen next to these amazing characters.

Friday is getting used to her new school for superheroes. She is still wondering what the guy that was on fire was all about. Friday is now being followed everyday and she now met a new super villain. She wants to know where they came from but it is very dangerous. Friday is starting to believe that production is behind some of this but why? Will Friday be able to trust anyone or are they all lying to her?

In this story Friday keeps trying to figure out what’s going on with Dr. Dangerous, and who he really is. Friday is trying to figure out what’s happening at hero high, and who she can trust. Going through her normal day to day routine and then on the side trying to discover what everyone seems to be hiding. By Carrie Pulkinen
5 out of 5 stars

I loved reading the book Life’s a Witch (New Orleans Nocturnes Book 3) by Carrie Pulkinen. It is the next story in a series that I have loved since the first book. The story pulled me in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. I loved reading about the characters of Crimson Oliver and Mike Cortez. Crimson is a witch whose spells always go wrong. She finds herself threatened with the binding of her powers, she will then be only human. She decides to challenge the priestess to a battle of magic. Does she stand a chance at winning? Mike is a demon who has his eye on Crimson. He is attracted to her. He also accidentally makes a deal that will send her to the underworld, to be a servant for all eternity. What does the future hold for Mike and Crimson? Can Crimson’s soul be saved? Read this book to find out. This is a story that has hilarious moments that made me laugh. There are also romantic moments as well. Both the characters of Crimson and Mike are likable, and I grew to care about what happens to them with each chapter that I read. I also love that the characters from the first two books make their appearance in this story and interact with Mike and Crimson. I love paranormal stories and this book is a good example of the reason why. Don’t miss out on a wonderful story that will hook you in and won’t let you go. I highly recommend it.

The story Hawk’s Cry (Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation #2) by Manda Mellett is a romantic suspense book. It is a story that pulled me in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. It is the story of the VP of the Satan’s Devil’s MC. While looking at him he seems to have it all, family, friends, the club. What happens when he thinks that there is something better outside the club? Will he leave the club? Read this book to find out. I love reading books about MC clubs and this story is an example of why. The way the story is written I felt like I was right there with the characters. This book also had my emotions going up and down the entire time I was reading it. I found myself turning pages and wondering what was going to happen next. Besides the VP of the club, there are many other characters that I enjoyed reading about. Don’t miss out on an entertaining story and a wonderful read. I highly recommend it.

Anger (Hero High Book 2) by Mina Chara – Review by Juls Dick

Anger (Hero High, #2)Anger by Mina Chara
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Anger (Hero High Book 2) by Mina Chara is an excellent continuation of Friday’s story. At the end of book 1 Friday is left with more questions than answers. Who is the figure in the flames? and how can Doctor Dangerous be back when the whole world knows he died at the hands of the Captain? Friday is seeking answers to her questions however, this might mean her own safety is in danger. Couple this with the horrid Veronica and Friday’s crippling anxiety, she is really having a difficult time. I am really enjoying this series, I like the way it switches between flashbacks of Friday’s life to the present day when she is being interviewed. I also feel that you get to know the other characters more in this book as Friday further develops her friendships. This book is a nice quick read but has definitely left me with lots of questions (and theories) that I hope are answered in book 3.

Anger High is the second installment of hero High written by Mina Chara and I have mixed feelings about this book. The series and is set in the near future world of Icon City, a place filled with powered one-percenters. The characters are great, and the plot is different. You don’t know who the good guy or bad guy is.

Friday Fitzsimmons is in her second year of hero high. She is living at the superstructure its risky and invasive, especially when trying to figure out where two new real super villains come from. I can’t let the cameras see what I’m doing, because I’m pretty sure they’re in on it, and people are getting hurt.

Will Friday figure out the truth before its to late? Will she be able to trust any of her peers? Are they out to get her? Will she make it past her second year of hero high?

You will have to read this book/series to find out. I highly recommend you read the books in order.

Southern Promises: The Complete Series (A Contemporary Romance Standalone Box Set)Southern Promises: The Complete Series by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I LOVED this box set! It consists of three books by K.G. Fletcher and i enjoyed every single one of them. The author keeps putting out books that i adore and cant get enough of. The books in this set are:
Book 1 – Georgia Clay: A Friends to Lovers Romance
Book 2 – Georgia On My Mind: An Opposites Attract Romance
Book 3 – Georgia Pine: A Second Chance Sports Romance
Here is my thoughts on all three books:
Georgia Clay (Southern Promises #1):
I LOVED IT! Her writing style is awesome, it really flows, and I really enjoyed all of the characters they are enjoyable.
This story is about Clay and Katie! And I just freaking love them! They have known each other for a long time because they went to school together. They run into each other at a high school reunion and they connect instantly and begin talking. Will they take a chance on each other or will they move on to other things that may be more important right now?
Georgia On My Mind (Southern Promises #2)
I have to say that i liked it even more than the first one. This book is about a dancer and a playboy. What happens when they meet up by accident. Will anything happen between them? I enjoyed the overall effortlessness of this book it just flowed and it was fantastic.
Georgia Pine(Southern Promises #3)
This series just keeps getting better and better. This is my favorite of the series so far and I couldn’t get enough of this book from the minute I started it. The main characters in this book are Jessica and Tim. And I absolutely adore them. Jessica is a strong beautiful southern woman who has 4 beautiful daughters. Tim like any good male in a romance novel is hot hot hot and I couldn’t get enough of him. I enjoyed the electric passion between them and I was rooting for their happy ending from the get go!
I cannot wait to read more by this author and I absolutely would recommend this box set to anyone that enjoys romance!

She learns that she is left a cabin by her mother and decides to find a new job so she can move to this mysterious cabin and find out more about her heritage. Things are not what they seem and the answers she seeks might not be the one she finds. I liked this book and i am looking forward to seeing what this author comes up with next!

5-Stars

Sweet Salvation (The Protectors Series Book 3) by Toya Richardson was a wonderful read. The author opens up the story with an emotional and gripping scene. It’s as if I could feel the pain and horror Manuela was experiencing in the hands of her captors. I loved how quickly Josh felt their bond snap into place as he looked at a picture of her. He was her hero and he also had a soft side. I loved the fact that he let his emotions show but not overwhelm him. He and Manuela were a perfect pair and both overcame major tragedies. I was amazed at their strength, connection, love, and courage. They truly made this story for me. I highly recommend it. It was an excellent shifter romance.

Shift Happens: A Paranormal Romantic Comedy by Carrie Pulkinen is the second book in the New Orleans Nocturnes series. These are fun, paranormal romantic stories that will keep you laughing. This can be read as a standalone but I recommend reading them in order because characters carry over from story to story. Sophie is a struggling witch who cannot seem to come into her powers, her best friend has become a vampire, and all she wants is some time to get to know a handsome werewolf intimately. What could go wrong?
Of course, nothing is easy for Sophie but she finds her forever family and all works out in the end. Sophie is a funny character full of sass. She knows what she wants and she goes for it. Trace is the sexy werewolf and he finds Sophie is more than a quick escapade for him. This book is a quick read but great while stuck at home. It had me laughing a lot and was light and delightful. This author writing style was captivating, easy flowing and easy to read. She has created some wonderful characters that are real, relatable and very lovable.

Even though these books are part of a series, they can be read as a standalone, as in each book we follow new main characters on their journey, but just to get a feel at how incredible this series is I’d recommend that you read them all and in the correct order.

In each of these reads, we get amazing characters that are relatable, real characters that I loved reading about. Their chemistry was undeniable and was inspirational and brilliant from the get-go.
