This collection of books are so steamy, I’m shocked my kindle didn’t melt. There’s a book for everyone in this set. These books are all so short you can read one book a night and make it last longer. Each story was better than the one before, I can’t even pick a favorite. You definitely want to get your hands on this set full of short, hot, addicting steamy, hot….did I say hot already ?? This was ridiculously good. I loved them all. We all know this author knows how to write spice just as good as any other but, I do not think any review could really Tell you just how good this box set is. Grab this box set and I dare you TRY to prove me wrong. 10 stars

While Loretta is digging in the dirt she finds glowing larvae which she has the idea of putting in her ant farm to see what happens to them. After watching them she finds there are more than a few mysteries to these bugs.
I thought this was delightful. Loreta is a girl with a curious mind and having her see the larvae evolve into flying glowing insects was not only informative but beautifully illustrated. Another great story in the Loretta’s Insects series.

I had read another book by this author last year, and it was such a hit with my family that I didn’t hesitate to pick this one up. I love the beautiful cover and illustrations inside as I feel they added a bit more emotion to the story, especially for my kids. We all learned more about Lunar New Year and the traditions in their culture. It sparked wonderful conversations with my 8- and 12-year-old which is always exciting! This would be wonderful to share with the young ones in your life, but I genuinely enjoyed the educational side of it. I can’t wait to see what else this author has in store for us because they’re quickly becoming a favorite in our household!
I love getting my hands on another book in this series as they are each as good as the last one I read. this book is exactly what I have come to expect as well. It is well written story with a great plot and fantastic characters. They are complicated and interesting and so easy to connect with. For me, these are the kind of characters that carry a story and I want to find out more about. This author has really shown off her writing style with this series and it has definitely caught my attention. I have enjoyed each and every book so far and this one is no exception. I am looking forward to my next book by this author.

The Changed Man Audio Book is the fourth book in The Olympic Peninsula Series. This series just keeps getting better and better with each new book. I’ve truly enjoyed listening to this series and this one may be my favorite yet. The narrator does an amazing job bringing the characters to life with different tones of their voice. I literally listened to this every break and on my way home I had to know what was going to happen next. I just want to say if you haven’t already started this series I highly recommend starting with the first book. It’s a great series and you get back story on what’s been going on and get to know the characters better. Im not going to give anything away. I highly recommend giving this a listen to find out how things turn out for Jake. I’m looking forward to reading/listening to more from this Author.

Book 1-Echoing Hearts This is a beautiful slow burn romance. I love the author’s writing style and how the characters were really brought to life. The author has a way of writing that has you captivated by the characters and willing them to get their happy ever after. Even when that seems so unlikely. This story had me captivated from the first page and I wasn’t able to put it down. Rae is dead set against the idea of love. She can’t see herself falling in love and isn’t looking for it. So when she meets Dean she is taken completely by surprise when the feelings she gets aren’t entirely neutral. Dean has had heart ache in the past when his ex partner left him at the aisle. Since then he has sworn against love. Never wanting to let anyone get close enough to hurt him again. When they meet the circumstances aren’t ideal. Rae is meant to do a segment in a magazine about Dean’s house and he’s not supposed to be there. As Dean and Rae realise they are stuck with each other for the weekend their attractions grows. Things aren’t going to be straight forward however and when Rae’s room-mate and famous rock star comes into the picture the jealously is there for everyone to see. Can Rae and Dean see through all the rubbish and be together? Can they both let go of their pasts and embrace the love that is waiting for them if they are only brave enough to take the risk? It was a beautiful story to watch unfold and their passion and pain is felt in every page and decision they make along the way
Book 2- His Forever Muse This is such an emotional friends to lovers romance. This is the second book in The Echo Series however it can be read as a standalone and still be enjoyed. I love this author’s writing. There are sensitive issues such as domestic violence in this story and the author handles it in a way that isn’t too graphic but gives the reader just enough information to get a feel of what it is like to be in a relationship like that. Brandon Rossi is a talented musician and artist but just recently he’s lost his mojo. There is something missing from his life but he doesn’t know what that is until he meets Calliope. Calliope is a art gallerist. After the trauma from her past relationship which left her a broken person she had managed to rebuild herself and her life. She puts on a front of being a happy complete person but that isn’t the case. She is still broken inside and feels she will never be complete until her path crosses with Brandon again. Their connection hasn’t go away even after all these years and this could be their chance to finally give their love a chance. But things aren’t that simple and when Calliope’s abusive ex returns it could mean the end of their budding romance. This is a heartbreaking and moving story about second chance love and overcoming all odds to find their happy ever after but would is Brandon strong enough to protect her and safe her from her past and the demons that still lurk?
Book 3- Unexpected Entanglement This is the 3rd book in The Echo Series. I highly recommend reading the books in order so you get a better feel for the characters as previous characters show up in this story. However it could be read as a standalone because it mainly focuses on the two main characters Chris and Rowan. This story has a mixture of everything. The romance is a slow burn as circumstances mean that Chris and Rowan have to pretend to be a couple. So what happens when faking being in love actually turns into the real thing? This is something neither of them expected to happen or were looking for. All Chris had to do was help Rowan pull off her cousins wedding, but as attraction sizzled between them and strange things started happening he knew there was no way he could walk away from her. As a reader you can’t help but fall in love with the characters which just goes to show how much love and character the author puts into them. They are more than just words on a page you can imagine them as living breathing beings and you feel every emotion they go through. I really enjoyed this emotional heartfelt story.
Book 4- Dangerous Rhythm This is the 4th book in The Echo Series. Each book can be read as a standalone as they focus on different couples however I have a feeling once you read one you will want to read them all. What I love about this story is that it is the female lead who is the bodyguard/protector which is a nice twist as normally its the male. These books are full of danger, chemistry and great characters. Curtis is a famous rockstar. He has everything he could wish for in life but he feels something is missing. When he witnesses a crime he is forced to go into hiding with a bodyguard for protection. That body guard is Lina. They met years before when Lina was his bodyguard and Curtis left a lasting impression. Now their paths cross again as Lina now has to protect him from the Mafia and a woman who wants Curtis. Not for his fame or his body but she wants his head. Can Lina keep her emotions and desires in check long enough to keep Curtis safe? When Curtis realises that Lina is what he’s been missing in his life can he convince her that sometimes duty can take a back seat to following your heart. This is a fast paced romance filled with steamy chemistry and danger around every corner.

I am such a fan of this series. The author does such a fantastic job of portraying family dynamics and family relationships. Though this is book 4 and it’s focus is on Jake and his slow burn relationship with Chiara,we see the relationships still developing with the other couples. We also get to see him work on rebuilding his relationship with Joe and his other family members. This book, heck the whole series, hits me in the feelers. I always come away feeling every emotion. These guys feel like they could be part of your family or close friends. They are easy to relate to. Such a strong writing style that pulls you in and you are engaged until the end. Hearing it in audio provides a new level to it in the way of feeling those emotions when it comes to the relationships. Every time Chiara would real to Lorenzo about Miss Bigfoot, I swear I woul loose it and spit what I was drinking out. This might be my favorite among the series. I loved the narration. It was fantastic all around.

Cute, educational book about Lunar New Year traditions. Both the story and illustrations were great. While geared towards children, even as an adult I enjoyed this story and learned things I didn’t know before.

The Missing Red Envelopes is a children’s chapter book designed for kids between the ages of seven to twelve years of age. It tells the story of young Asian American sisters Weina and Lorie who live in New York City. The sisters set out to take part in the Lunar New Year celebrations but end up trying to solve a mystery. A special part of the celebrations involves collecting red envelopes that contain either chocolate coins or money. Younger sister Weina asks if she can be the keeper of the red envelopes and promises to keep them safe. She is upset when she discovers the envelopes are missing and she must retrace their steps throughout the day to see if she can solve the mystery of where the envelopes went. This book gives a fun and informative description of Asian American culture and traditions that takes place during the Lunar New Year. From the foods they eat, the parade, Chinese Dragons, the fireworks, the importance of family, and that wearing red means luck. The illustrations add an extra element to the story which help to bring the story to life. This book offers children the opportunity to learn about another culture while also learning about problem solving and critical thinking.

This was a quick read for me. It was a bit predictable but had some good connectable points despite its YA target audience. I enjoyed the characters and the overall plot. It was engaging and I felt that the story did have a nice overall flow. This would definitely hit better in the target audience than it did for me.

This is a multi-pov book. There are multiple POVs in chapters too and the only telltale that it’s a new POV is a break in the page.
Logan- grumpy, workaholic. stopped trusting people due to an issue that happened between him and his ex-best friend.
Jinx- sleeps around with guys while waiting for her “larger-than-life true love” while also running a shop with her best friend.
This is a fast burn and there are spicy scenes in this book.
Overall the book wasn’t that bad. Make Me Burn by Alicia Street is the first book from the series I have read and will most likely read the others now. There’s drama, being reunited after so long, rekindling love, and finding out the truth for these two love birds and I am here for it!

Hidden Mischief by Alyndra Quinn is Book 1 in the Shattered Embrace series and the first (but not last) novel that Ihave read by this author.
Hidden Mischief is the story of Ashton and Zachary. Ashton is very successful in her working life but very shy in her private life with hidden submissive tendencies. Zachary owns Shattered Embrace which is a sex club,he interviews Ashton with the aim to train her and approve her club membership but is captivated by Ashton and claims her as “his exclusive submissive”. This book ends suddenly so I am looking forward to Book 2 to continue with their story…
This is book 2 of the shattered embrace series and a continuation of the story of Ashton and Zachery. This is not a stand alone novel you MUST read book one prior to reading this novel.
This book is a love story of Ashton’s complete and utter surrender and complete submission to Zachery…. Hot sex scenes without it being too graphic a detail.
Mina Skye’s “Hood of Sedna” was an amazing first book in a new steampunk series. This was the first steampunk book I’d ever read and am hooked and cannot wait for more books in this series to come out. The characters are so dynamically developed, I love the different breeds of characters including Faes, Warlocks, Witches, and humans all intermingling unknowingly. Stevie is our main character, who appears not knowing who or what she is, her past is all but blank, and she has no idea that she has lived such an enthralling life and that she is not a human but a mixed breed. She is the leader of a group of thieves who are doing all they can to survive by stealing from the rich in Sedna. It is always things that are not wanted like food, and other belongings that they are throwing away unnecessarily while others are starving and going without. Unfortunately, these actions have caught the attention of the local marshal who does not realize that Stevie is not a man, but the same woman that keeps turning down his unwanted advances. Out of the blue three mysterious men appear in Stevie’s life claiming that she is someone from their past, but how is this possible, she doesn’t remember being a princess from 300+ years ago, if that is even possible. Do these men hold the answers to Stevie’s past, and if so which if any of them, are there to help her, and which are only working for their selfish reasons? You will not want to put this book down once you get started, it is fast-paced and takes you on an adventure like no other. @Brandy Rymer 03/2024

Shadowed Deception being book three in the Shadow Defense Security Series we get to read about more of the guys at this agency finding their one and only. The series continues to keep me on the edge of my seat. Shadowed deception had this series typical drama, action, angst, enemies that become lovers that is par for the course in these books. There is Drake and Finlay, an investigative journalist who is undercover, in very deep into a sex trafficking ring. The character development was very strong and I enjoyed how the novel unfolded. Another great addition to the series.
Charming Chapter is a charming Women’s fiction romance tale. It is a quick and easy read and an enchanting read. It’s great to see more authors getting on the older characters band wagon. The characters feel real, and you become very invested in their story. The book club gang were fun, supportive and friends you want in your corner not like Caroline who came across as a bit selfish. There are a few ups and downs and a few surprises, but it is an enjoyable read. My Mum died a couple of years ago and she and Dad always travelled around Australia but never any big overseas travelling. Two years ago, my dad at the ripe old age of 83 decided to do the Danube River cruise. So, when Laura decided she was going no matter what I admired her. I love travelling and learning about the history of places and ancestry. You are never too old to do something. Learning life lessons helps us grow. Falling love later in life is good to see and this is what Laura did and I really enjoyed seeing this happen. Give this book a go because I know you will love it.

Refreshing and wonderful romance story. I love that this is more “seasoned” second chance at romance later in life that takes you on a journey to self discovery, love, fun and a little bit of drama. I am already looking forward to what this series has in store next!
After losing her husband, Laura sets out to discover there is more to life to live and learn about her ancestry. When Laura travels to UK she has a chance encounter with a handsome gentleman, Hugh, the sparks fly. While Hugh and Laura get to know better, and feelings become more clear that this could turn to love, secrets may be holding them back. Could Laura and Hugh discover they can overcome these bumps in the road and have their HEA that they long for.
This story is truly charming and I highly recommend this book.

Shadowed Agenda, book 2 in the Shadow Defense Security book series, was possibly even better than book number 1. Each book is a standalone as they concern different couples but are always better read in order as the characters do cross over. Shadowed Agenda follows Regan, an independent, strong willed woman, and Pavlo, a retired Navy Seal, grumpy, strong, alpha protector that are right up my alley. While they are forced to be together on a book tour for two incredibly different genres when they are together they can’t get along which quite possibly just happens to be a cover for how they really feel about each other. Shadowed Agenda was full of action, snark, romance, and drama.
4.5 stars Charlotte’s Control is the first time I am reading anything by Maggie Sims. It is the first book in her new Control series. It is a reverse age gap historical romance that is really well written. I can take or leave historical romance but Maggies’ writing style drew me in and I found myself really enjoying it. There is a touch of humour, angst, tension, want, need, doubt, caring, and so much more. There is a cast of many characters, in the beginning which was a bit much to remember them all. But it is so easy to fall in love with William and Charlotte. There is a little BDSM with a dominant widow on the cusp of being on the edge of society. William is a submissive young man forced to take over the running of things due to his alcoholic father. The sexual tension between the two main characters is steamy, hot, and sexy and everything explosive but it is also very romantic, sensual, and tender. If you love a story of two souls finding each other wrapped up in a historical romance, then Charlotte’s Control is for you.

Shadowed Obsession is the first action packed, gripping book in the Shadow Defense Security Series and what a story it was. I’m always drawn to books that involve a male main character that is in the Mafia or Military, is usually a little rough around the edges, dark, or has some quirk and this book had that. Add in a smart, successful, independent, strong woman and it’s the icing on the cake. Keira hires Cade and his security team when she realizes that a stalker that has been after is taking things a bit too far. Cade and Keira were relatable characters and their chemistry was off the charts throughout the novel. Then tension and danger throughout is pretty constant and keeps you on the edge of your seat. Lots of action. Interested to see what comes next.

The three friends are on the case, but they aren’t the only ones. This twisty tale has frozen maps, money on the line, science projects that are incomplete, songs are not written, and a dog who understands Morse code and surprising discoveries are made along the way. Lois’s writing style is simple to follow and inviting, there are many good thing to learn along the way. Code dog is another unique and charming tale.

It’s Caspian’s Unbirthday again and he’s looking for the box that Grandpa leaves him each year under his bed. There’s only one problem…the box isn’t there. He walks into the kitchen and finds a compass, otherwise known as an Inquisitive Indicator. It points to a note that leads Caspian on an adventure.
This series is a great one to add to your personal library! The illustrations are very vivid and make the story more interesting to young readers. I love the closeness that Caspian has with his grandfather and their special traditions together!
Mistaken Identity is the first book in the London Detective Agency series. I was drawn to it by the London setting, as I was feeling nostalgic, and was instantly engaged by the intriguing story! This is a great read if you’re looking for an action-packed romance that will have you on the edge of your seat.
I found the characters easy to engage with, and there’s plenty of interpersonal drama going on as they try to adapt to the unideal circumstances they’ve found themselves in. Evelyn’s research sounds so interesting – I’ll have to read up on that topic myself as I want to learn more! I like how the friction between her and Patrick demonstrates how much they have in common, and James’ down-to-earth temperament balances things out.
I will say that if you’re travelling by plane this is maybe not an ideal holiday read (didn’t stop me though, just meant I was a bit more anxious than usual at the airport!). But it’s great, I couldn’t put it down and may have missed a bus or two because I was so distracted reading it!
This book gets five stars from me! I can’t wait for the next instalment of the series!

If you’re looking for quick stories with various types of lust and romance, here it is! Based on the title alone, it should be no surprise that every story is steamy. There is a story type for everyone, I’m sure. These are novella length stories rather than full books. Don’t expect much character development as the focus is steam, steam, and more steam! Overall, the stories are fun short reads.

This series quickly became my favorite, and somehow the books just keep getting better! I devoured this book in a day because I couldn’t put it down, so definitely clear your schedule when you pick it up. I thoroughly enjoy the romantic suspense genre, but books tend to lean more on the romance side than suspense. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this one was more like a thriller with some steamy romance expertly mixed in. The chemistry between the characters popped off the pages, and I really enjoyed the flow of the story as well. I also feel like I’m pretty good at guessing the direction the story is heading but the author crafted so many flawless twists and turns that I couldn’t predict anything! I just finished this book and I already want to get lost in the next book. I can’t wait to see what this author has in store for us next, don’t pass this incredible book (and series) up!
What is not to love but a book full of steamy romances. I really really enjoyed this book. I have to admit that I was unable to put this book down. It was a case of start to finish I just didn’t want to stop. I really like how the author was able to combine a bunch of short very steamy romances. Each mini story just really ignited my imagination. The characters were all really brought to life and I felt as though I was right there in the midst of the drama as it unfolded. I cannot wait to read more from this author in future.

Forgiveness is a key component to good mental health, and the characters in this story must decide what is most important to them.
