Dirty Heartbreaker is book three in the Hamilton Steelhawks series. Let me tell you once i started i could not stop. I am late to this series, but I was able to follow along but some of the characters i was reading about are from previous books so I would recommend starting from the beginning. This book from the start pulled me in i loved the characters especially Colby. In book three we Follow the journey between Colby and Gabriella and it’s a whirl wind of adventures. I liked that i couldn’t predict what was going to happen with them next. If you are into Contemporary romance or even sports romance, you will love this series i highly recommend this book. I look forward to reading more books in this series and even more books by this author.

The local community theater group is putting on a play. Vintage clothing is a key component to the success of the show. The characters from Divine Vintage are featured here, but this is certainly a stand-alone novel. There is romance, as well as a fifty-year-old mystery. Family values, and the value of family, are both explored. The main character learns to take a chance on herself.

This is a collection of novels, all featuring one family. They are good people, but certainly not perfect. Can they be manipulative? Absolutely. Overbearing? Without a doubt. But in the end, they will always have each other’s backs, and some of them may even experience growth and humility along the way.

I enjoyed reading this romance story. I enjoyed how the author pulled me into the story from the beginning. This is a well written story about what happens when a best man and a maid of honor need to work together to make sure a wedding comes off without a hitch. What they don’t expect is their attraction to each other. Gabriella and Colby are great characters that you don’t want to miss what happens between them. I enjoyed watching their growth and chemistry throughout the story. They are strong characters that have a strong attraction which adds to the story. They are relatable and had me coming back for more. This is a fast paced, hard to put down, easy to read story. I really enjoyed reading this book for sure. I highly recommend this book

I enjoyed reading this suspenseful story. This is a newer author for me which I enjoyed their writing skills as well as their attention to details that made the story come to life. This is a well written story where the twists and turns will have you coming back for more. The characters are relatable and add so much to the story’s entertainment value. Janey and Mateo are great characters. There is a mole amongst them at DAG. Will Janey and Mateo figure out who the mole is? Will they give in to feelings and work through issues they have? This is such a great story. It is fast paced and hard to put down. A story that is easy to read and one you don’t want to miss. I really enjoyed this book and I highly recommend it.

Another book that met my expectations. I loved learning more about Macy and Brandon and their very non traditional start and the journey of getting back together. Reading about Miranda made me laugh so hard and as a mom, I could just envision all the chaos that little girl was causing! I have enjoyed the connections to the previous books and all the overlapping of characters and storylines. Another successful book from Brooke May.

Another good read from Brooke May and the Powder River Pack Series. I enjoyed the storyline between Rylie and Mason. Loved the added twists and turns along the way, taking the reader on a fascinating journey of these two fated mates. I really loved the characters of Rylie, Mason and Archer, which made the book all the more enjoyable. If you like werewolf stories, this is another great one in the series. Ready to see which pair is up in book 3!

Auctioned Surrender (Sinful Duets Book 2) by Via Mari – Review by Charlene Pryke

Auctioned Surrender (Sinful Duets #2)Auctioned Surrender by Via Mari
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Via Mari certainly knows how to write a page turner!! This is book 3&4 of the sinful duets series and OMG there is some hot action here.

Auctioned is the story of Bryanna and Damian. Bryanna is drugged and blackmailed into thinking that the bad people will hurt her family especially her niece and nephew and she will do anything to protect them. Including allow herself to be treated like shit, forced to strip and be auctioned as the virgin that she is to the highest bidder.

Damian has been assigned to find and protect Bryanna. Bryanna does not make it easy for him as once he finds her and gets her safe she keeps escaping and returning to her kidnappers to protect her family.

Eventually though Damian gets through to her and love wins ❤️.

I suspect another spin off novel to come involving Bryanna’s brother and also a few of the other characters ❤️

Relentless is the story of Layla and Derek. This is a spin off involving characters in roles within auctioned. Layla has tried to keep Bryanna safe and protected and in doing so gets herself the protection of Derek who sought her out for information. She has secrets of her own and I also suspect that they will come into play in another book at some stage? These men love to protect the women that they love ❤️

This could be considered a stand alone novel but once again it ties into the previous book characters in not only this series but also prior series. I suggest if you want to be hooked on a long running series – start at the beginning and I will be retrospectively reading to catch myself up!!

Perfect Office Pact (Perfect Romance Series) by Maria Jane – Review by Jenni Bishop

Perfect Office PactPerfect Office Pact by Maria Jane
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I am enjoying the Pact stories by Tricia/Maria and was excited when I saw there was another book out. I have read a lot of work written as Tricia and have enjoyed them all immensely. I love the variety of genre’s that she writes in both names.
Perfect Office Pact by Maria Jane is a contemporary romance tale. I liked that she is now writing in the third person POV because it gives a story more depth and gives us as readers a much broader and in-depth insight into the person, their feelings and their thoughts.
Declan and Mira have a push pull relationship neither quite knowing how to express their feelings. There were times I wanted to smack them and tell them to get it together and other times I wanted to hug them. The jury is still out on Mira’s use of the pact.
Perfect Office Pact is written well but the ending for me feels like it ended abruptly. It didn’t quite finish as smoothly as it could have. Having said that the story is fun and keeps readers engaged.
This book will keep you entertained with fun and humour, emotions, some angst, a fair bit of frustration and some sweet romance.

Deceptively Yours (Titans of Chicago, #1)Deceptively Yours by Anise Storm
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

4.5 stars
Oh, Anise you don’t know how happy I am to see another series is out. Deceptively Yours is a deviously dark second chance romance with some trigger warnings.
It has romance, steam, spice, chemistry, drama, angst, danger, action and some violence and more that keep those pages turning and before you are ready it is over.
The characters are well developed as is the twisty storyline. I wanted to smack them at times. Gabriel and his hatred and Harper who continues to keep the secret of why gave him up all those years ago.
Even though 9 years had separated them she could not let the boy now man she loved be in danger. Gabriel never knew what Harper sacrificed for him and he doesn’t want to know. What will he do when he finds out? If he finds out.
If you love a dark romance tale and want to know what happens you will have to read it for yourself, and I strongly suggest that you should, or you are missing out on a good tale.

Seal Gray is playing with his beach ball when he loses control of it. Several things transpire from that and Gray finds himself in a situation where he’s lying about the ball being his. This book focuses on telling the truth and preserving friendships.

The illustrations in this book are very colorful and attractive. Be sure to show anyone you are reading this to the pictures. If a young reader is reading to you, use that as a teachable moment about items in the pictures, as well as the story itself.

This is the 4th book in this series, but it can be read as a stand alone. While I haven’t read the other books in this series, I have read other books by this author. I love her awesome world building and character development. She has a way of making you feel like you’re part of the story and you just end up so completely engrossed you don’t realize it. Ros and Jackson have amazing chemistry and I loved the way this story played out. While I did feel like the ending could have been a little stronger, It was still a great story. I am looking forward to reading the other books in the series and getting to know the other characters in this world she’s built.

This isn’t the first book that I have read from this author. I will say that every time I read one of her books, I am just thrown by how well written they are. This book was one that I didn’t put down until I finished it. I had to see what was going to happen. The push and pull between the characters and the way the storyline just comes to life right off the pages. I am in love with everything in the book. The steam was just the right amount, the anger between the characters, the push and pull, the childhood friends, and the tragedy that happened. This book has it all. I couldn’t stop turning the pages, I was drawn into the book that I was feeling everything the characters were feeling. I was getting mad at my husband for even speaking to me. lol. I was completely irrational but I loved every second of it. If you want a book to give you all the feels this is one of them. This also could very well be, one of the top reads for the year so far. I can’t say enough about this book without giving spoilers. Just read it and you will love it as much as I do.

What a fun and entertaining story this is. I loved the premise of the book and what is teaches children. I also loved how engaging the illustrations were. They are definitely what caught my kids attention first. We all enjoyed sitting and reading this book as a family, even reading it multiple times already.
It is always a joy to find a new author my kids like and, based on the last couple of books, I can definitely say we have found another one. We are all looking forward to reading more from this author, especially if they are as good as this one.

The push and pull between them is captivating and I could have read about it so much more. Even through the hatred, there was an undeniable chemistry and for me that is what I loved the most about them.
I thought the story was really strong. It matched the characters so well and I was swept up in what the author was telling us. I love this authors writing style and this book is a great example of why. This book is absolutely fantastic and I loved it from start to finish.

Deceptively Yours (Titans of Chicago Series) by Anise Storm – Review by Allyson Ware

Deceptively Yours (Titans of Chicago, #1)Deceptively Yours by Anise Storm
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

The first thing I would like to say about this book is that it needs a trigger warning. There are discussions of unwanted assault that I believe needs addressed for all readers.

Other than that, the book is interesting. The characters are easy to understand and they obviously care deeply for each other. It is repeated multiple times throughout the book that they are each others first and only love. Quite tedious, actually, hearing it over and over again. It is also a little frustrating watching Harper and Gabriel go back and forth being irritated with each other. The author stimulated my emotions, so obviously they struck a cord when I read this book. I just do not know that the book is for me.

Overall, I would recommend this book to romance lovers. Perhaps this just is not the romance book for me. There are multiple scenes that are not for young adult readers. I do hope this author continues to write other novels because I enjoyed the writing style, I just hope for a less tedious plot.

This is the 4th book in the Kings of Screen Series. Even though this is the 4th book they can all be read as stand alone reads as they each focus on a different couple. This is a friend’s to lovers story filled with chemistry, push and pull, angst and humour which really brings the story and the characters to life.
This is Jackson and Ros story. Jackson and Ros have been friends for a long time and even though Jackson wanted more Ros didn’t want to risk their friendship even though she was attracted to Jackson. So they look like they are destined to remain friends until …..
To clear his name for sleeping with a married woman Jackson tells the world that he and Ros are in a relationship and have been for months.
What follows is a story of a fake romance as Ros tries to keep up appearances without falling for Jackson and Jackson tries everything in his power to show Ros that his playboy ways are over and he only wants her. Will he succeed? Or will Ros continue to think it’s just another act?

This is yet another great installment in the Kings of Screen Series by Morgana Bevan. I’m a sucker for a fake relationship story any day, but it’s hard to find one that really draws me in and feels realistic; however, that is exactly what the author has accomplished here. With the dual point of view, we get to see what both main characters are thinking and feeling as they embark on this new fun adventure, allowing us to feel closer to them and their story. This contemporary Hollywood romance was definitely a fun fast read. I cherished the characters’ entertaining, often sassy banter along with the awkwardness of being forced together. I love the vulnerability Jackson, the main male character, shows throughout as he deals with the walls Ros puts up in order to protect her heart from encountering heartache like her parents went through. Will Jackson and Ros be the next Hollywood IT couple for real or will their fake relationship stay just that? I love this series and have read 3 of the 4 books (somehow I missed Book 3) in it and I definitely want to read more things by this author.

Dirty Heartbreaker is the third book in the Hamilton Steelhawks Series and is a Contemporary Romance/ Sports Romance that I truly enjoyed reading. I’m fairly new to these authors but like there style of writing and attention to detail This series focuses on different players from Steelhawks Hockey team. This is Colby and Gabriella’s story. He’s a shoot and score kinda guy on and off the ice. But when he’s asked to be best man for one of his teammates he realizes that means having to put up with one person he can’t stop fantasizing about. She’s a former figure ice skater who is now a business women she’s bound and determined to see that her best friends wedding goes on without any issues. One problem she has to put up with the one person who not only gets her worked up but ignites a fire in her. These two definitely have chemistry between them in the bedroom. Can these two have a relationship? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. If you like Sports Romance then this series is definitely for you.

Another Wickstrom story, well loved by my niece and nephew. She has become one of their most asked for authors. Craig and Linda’s adventures with Nessie have become their favorite. I really enjoy reading books by this author. I would for sure pay attention to the trigger warnings at the start of the book, because things… get a little heavy and dark. Anise builds a fantastic world for the Titian’s. Harper and Gabriel’s story starts out sweet and then then it takes a turn for the worse. Harper has to leave due to a family tragedy and breaks Gabriel’s heart in the process. Later when Harper has to come back seeking help She seeks out Gabriel help. Gabriel makes her pay for breaking his heart. These two clash like fire and ice, but the joining is oh so sweet. Lots of spicy scenes to keep one’s heart pitter pattering and blood pressure rising. I enjoyed this book a lot and I hope that Anise writes more into this world!

Divinely Dramatic is the second book in the Divine Vintage series by Sandra L. Young. It is another interesting cozy mystery, with a touch of the paranormal which added an extra element of interest to the story. Add in some drama, secrets, a community theatre production, a 5o year-old mystery, ghostly games, some superstition, investigation, a touch of romance, fun, fashion, and a lightheaded feel.
I really enjoyed the first book, Divine Vintage, and so I was happy to see this second book had released. This time we follow Marcy, who gets involved in a community theatre production as a costumer. With a fifty-year-old mystery hanging over the production, strange things begin to happen, and as things unfold, we are pulled further and further into this engrossing story.
Another fun read-
Happy reading…

Thank you, Sandra L. Young!
