This box set was so fun to read! The way the book was organized was really interesting! Each new book is basically a new chapter, and each chapter has breaks between different days and events. I loved how the main character’s story starts off with her getting betrayed, as many women understand, and then continues with her exploring the world of “dating” without commitment. Dating for fun. The book titles are hilarious too and really fit each man’s ego and personality. This is definitely a fun read and I would recommend it to anybody out there who loves a comeback story, romance, and spicy scenes.

Loved this story! Fantastic setup of the world! The book actually starts with a list of the rules this society goes by. In the rules, they talk about how to conquer land and the consequences if you fail in your attempt. Of course, in a perfect society, all of the rules are followed without any shenanigans. However, that’s not always how things turn out. A beautiful world created for an amazing main character to fight the norms and make herself and her way known to all. Read this book if you love strong women who fight for the right to be equal with everyone else. She’s strong, she’s determined, and she’s only trusting when she needs to be.

It is another suspenseful thriller with mystery, tension, danger, secrets & lies, agendas, well-developed interesting characters, action, adventure, and gripping developments. Margo’s world comes crashing down, and her dreams crumble after she is drugged while in Italy. Her hopes of winning a life-changing competition are completely crushed when she wakes to find her hotel room has been trashed, leaving her with a reparation bill in the many tens-of-thousands- money she just doesn’t have…… AND she’s been ousted from the competition, with nowhere to go. She’s left with no choice but to take on a job she really didn’t want to even consider- one that will see her in close-quarters with a dangerous dictator. This was a good book and I am glad I picked this one up! This is the second book in the series and to get the best reading experience, this series should be read in order. There are 10 chapters in this novel and is part of the Hidden Valley series. The heat that starts between Riley and Cole is an interesting prequel. Even though there’s 10 chapters, each one is packed with backstory and heat for an enemies to lovers romance novella. This prequel introduces and makes you fully understand the anger in the first official book in this series. It started with a kiss. This was an exciting look into what makes the bully in the series!

The next book in one of my favorite series is here. One can’t go wrong with The Masters of the Consulate Series. But be warned if you haven’t started with book 1, Master njDescallia you really need to start there to work your way to this one. Master Botosoni is the next master to drop in the series. Meaning to find his mate, when he wasn’t looking for her. This book is a dark romance along with the continuing battle that has stretched across all books. The rogues want the Masters disbanded, and even more so Master Descallia and his mate Lucianna gone. Now that the rogues have crossed into Master Botosoni’s territory, it’s time for him to get involved as well as take point on the mission to stop them. However in the quest it takes him into a coffee shop to a psychic who is destined to change his life. Catina is trying to get by, despite how her family views and treats her. Never is her wildest dreams did she expect to catch the eye of Master Botosoni. Unfortunately it could ruin everything for her with her family, especially now that her psychic ability has thrown her in the middle of an upcoming war. Will they last? How are things looking with the war coming? So many questions and answers, that I don’t know if they would be enough to satisfy you or not. I’m satisfied though since it ended. Song of Earth and Claws did start a little slow, it took me a short while to get the gist of what it was about, but the build-up of information was key to understanding the story. As I continued to read along, the book started picking up the pace, and by the time I was a quarter of the way in, I couldn’t stop reading. I needed to continue to read on, I was so invested in the characters and what was going to happen to them. Lannahi was an amazing choice for the heroine of this book, and the romance between her and Ashared was something I had been hoping for right from their first meeting! I felt so bad for Lannahi in the way that everyone treated her throughout the story, she had to fight for everything in life, being looked past as weak due to her love of singing and the arts. Boy, was I impressed by the end of the book, she turns out to be everything that I had hoped for and more. I loved the thrill of this read so much, the different types of characters in the book were a refreshing take on mythical creatures. The dramatic battles and the rules of the kingdoms were a lot to learn in the beginning, but once I got into the book, I completely understood the need for all the logistics to follow along with the storyline. I am so glad that I kept on reading because otherwise, I would have missed out on a fantastic book. I hope that there will be more books with these characters, I am so invested in hearing more adventures with them all, and I want more! @Brandy Rymer 01/2024

Impending devastation and death. Book two in the War of Destiny series starts off roughly eighty years after the events of book one. Some positives are that Julia has Adam at her side and somewhere over time she has just stopped existing and started too truly live again. 1582, back in London and enjoying a peaceful life when one dream, to meet Queen Elizabeth, comes true but everything changes in the same night. Events set into motion that can’t be undone or deterred. A strange dream, a ten-year-old girl and “tarot” cards tells Julia her future, one filled with loss, evil, death, sacrifice, and betrayal. Unsure of what the meaning is more strange things begin starting with a nap. Can Julia decipher the strange future she was told in time? Betrayal is coming but from who? While this is the second book, I understand how it could be a standalone if starting with this book. That said I feel that it would be like starting a movie forty-five minutes in without context or background on what led to the events or the significance of the situations. Such as Julia finally having Adam at her side or who Marie was to Julia. The continued growth of Julia in discovering herself more and evolving with everything she faces and overcomes. I cannot wait to start book three, Between Darkness and Light. I devoured the first two books in just a few days, once I started, I couldn’t stop.

I am not so invested in this series that I have to read all of them but these little ones just don’t seem worth it! I really think this could just be a part of the main book. By time we got to the hook that wanted to make me keep reading the book was over.

Bella is on a journey to find herself and to do that she has to start loving herself again. She decides to go on a quest to liberate herself with the help of Mr. Right(Now) and I am happy to be a part of her journey. These books are steamy, witty, and sassy. I love Bella as a main character and I hope she eventually finds Mr. Right. As of right now, I am rooting for Liam but that may change as more characters enter the scene.
Mr. Wimp – Bella and Joel have been married for twelve years. A marriage of comfort. Although the marriage was lacking in a few departments, Bella was in it for the long run. Joel had other ideas. He decided the spark was gone and went looking for it elsewhere. At first Bella was devastated, 12 years wasted. As time goes on, Bella realizes she lost herself somewhere along the way. She changed who she was to appease the man she was with. Bella decides to find herself again. She starts hanging out with friends more, eating healthier and even practices flirting. Soon she will be ready to enter the dating scene once again.
Mr. Smooth – Bella is ready to get back out there after the end of her 12 year relationship. The bartender, Liam, is there to be her first conquest. He is not the relationship type so this is perfect for what she wants right now, to get laid. Liam being the player he is has the experience to make Bella come out of her shell. As her sex coach, he will prepare her for the dating world as it is today. A lot of one night stands and players in the online world.
Mr. Player – After Bella’s brief sexual encounter with Liam, she is feeling sexy and ready for her next boy toy. She meets Jack on a dating website. He is gorgeous and they seem to have a lot in common. Bella is excited to have met someone she likes so fast and on her first match! All of her friends seem to be against her jumping into this guys bed so fast, even Liam tries to sway her from her decision. They go on a date and seem to hit it off, too bad he’s no good in the bedroom department.
Mr. Kinky – After a bad encounter with Jack, Bella decides to take a break from the dating sites for a bit. Her and her friends go away on a girls weekend where she meets Jenson. He messages her and she instantly thinks she is being catfished. No way can a guy that gorgeous be real and be interested in her, she thinks. When the girls go to the local pub and guess who the owner is? That’s right! It’s Jenson! He invites Bella for drinks after the bar closes and she finds out that he is into BDSM. This was a very interesting fantasy read. I am all about fantasy/fae books and was drawn in by the cover of this book. I loved how complex this book was and that it has an appendix to aid in that. This story had it all with betrayal and romance all rolled in. Lannahi has to fight back when her and her family are threatened. She then takes matters into her own hands to take control of her fate. The plot thickens and there are plenty of twists to keep you on the edge of your seat. This story was so much better than I even anticipated. I definitely recommend giving this author a try!

This is the fifth book in the Relic Hunters series, and it absolutely blows my mind that each and every one of them has been incredible! I knew from previous books in the series that I wasn’t going to be able to put it down, so I made sure to find a quiet, comfortable place to devour this entire thing. I recommend reading this series in order as the characters have been in each one, and their dynamic changes a bit throughout. This book closely follows Adam and Matt as they are in quite the predicament. I sat on the edge of my seat the entire way through as the author really dialed up the suspense and danger in this one. I won’t give anything away except the fact that you will need to clear a few hours of your day to devour this book. I highly recommend picking it up (and the series) because it’s phenomenal! I’ll be following this author closely so I can enjoy more of their expertly crafted tales.

What an incredible addition to an already amazing series! This is the fourth book in the Relic Hunters series, and I think this may be my favorite so far. The author shows they have no shortage of ideas and expertly crafts another fast-paced history mixed with legend and fiction read. Adam and his group are in Romania responding to a plea for help, but is it all a trap? They find that they are being hunted and danger, mystery, and suspense ensue. Will they be able to make it through unharmed or is this their last adventure-filled journey together? The one and only thing I could possibly utter a complaint about is that my real-life responsibilities are suffering as I can’t put this book down! Once I pick it up, I am in a trance until I reach the end. Though this is aimed for a YA audience, I thoroughly enjoy each one and am looking forward to the next! I highly recommend this book (and the series) to anyone who enjoys history, myths, legends, and adventures!

Themes are of fae, romantasy, heroine, battle for the kingdom dominate this novel and intended for mature readers as there are stronger scenarios. Lannahi has been betrayed by a former love and now her family is entangled in danger. She needs to make her own plan to protect her family. Although she’s grown up as reserved and sheltered, her character emerges as such a strong female force. What emerges from the timid Lannahi is the challenge to go up against the Queen to take over the land. Besides the usual challenge, Lannahi is also conflicted with learning who to trust, betrayal and loyalty. To get a better view of the storyline and Lannahi’s character, you must read this novel. Very much worth the read!

This series somehow gets better with each installment! This is the third book in the Relic Hunters series, and I absolutely loved it! The author is an expert at creating such engaging stories that I’ve read in one sitting each time I pick one up. The flow of the book is very natural, and the action, adventure, and danger are a recurring theme throughout! Somehow this author fits our history in so flawlessly with fiction that it’s hard to tell where one ends and another begins. Adam and his group are such a great team, and it was great to see more of the characters and their relationships. I would love to see this as a TV series or even a movie, but for now I am more than happy to get my fill with the next books!

This is the second book in the Relic Hunters series, and it is even more incredible than the first! There is more action, danger, and adventure with Adam and his team. I do recommend reading the first book as it is good to have the background. The author does attempt to give a little introduction to him in the beginning, but there are pieces I would’ve missed without reading the first book prior to this one. I know this is aimed at a younger crowd, but I am pleased to say I was entertained the entire way through. I read it all in one sitting because I couldn’t put it down! I had to know what happened next and wasn’t going to wait to find out! Adam and his group are in Egypt for this adventure when a sandstorm hits. What is surprising is that a forgotten pyramid is found after these sandstorms, and they want to know what’s going on with it. I highly recommend picking this up because it is just too good to miss!

This series was amazing, I really couldn’t put it down and well couldn’t read it fast enough. It was a very intense book and kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time, I really couldn’t read it fast enough. At first, I was wondering if the story that was being told by Marcy was real or if she was living it, or maybe all in their head. The dreams that pledge her with so much she can’t tell them apart. This was filled with so much from suspense, action, thrill, emotion, and so much more. This series was amazing I really enjoyed them. there were well put together but you do need to spend some time paying attention, I did find I had to go back once or twice. But this book really showed a different side of what someone could be going thou in their minds. These books were thoroughly thought out and just incredible to read.

What an incredible start to a series! I liked the cover of this book, and once I read the summary, I knew I had to dive in. The characters are well-developed, and I felt invested in them immediately. I found myself using every excuse to get away from the real world and pick this book back up. If you find yourself interested in myths, legends, and treasure hunters, this book is one you will not want to pass up. Adam and his buddies are all in high school, but he comes home one day and finds that his older brother is missing. The world that he enters is one he never thought could be real. The author did a phenomenal job creating a story with history and fantasy which is a feat in itself. I highly recommend picking this up even if it doesn’t seem like your cup of tea because I bet you’ll still be completely captivated before you know it!

I hadn’t read anything by this author before, so I hesitated to jump in with an entire box set first thing. Something about the one-word titles named after emotions really pulled me in. You definitely want to read these books in order though as each installment picks up where the previous has left off. We start off with our main character, Marcy, in the first book Rage and the author wastes no time jumping straight into it. I was captivated by the very first chapter and it never let go. I am very glad I got the box set because I immediately jumped into the next one straight away. With the second book, Confusion, Marcy feels stuck and her emotions are clashing. Once we hit the last in this box set, Agony & Ecstasy, I was convinced I was on the most unpredictable rollercoaster I’ve encountered. I won’t give any spoilers, but the author did an amazing job with all of these, and I can’t wait to pick up more from them.

This is absolutely a world-building-heavy fantasy book. I really appreciated the break down of the terms in the beginning of the book though! It definitely went back and looked at them to make sure I was understanding fully. We have our leading woman fae, Lannahi, who has been betrayed by someone she trusted. And now she must fight to survive. And fight she does.

This was my first book by this author, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. The cover caught my eye immediately, and once I read the summary, I knew I had to give it a go. While the beginning can feel slow to some, I think it gave an amazing background and build of the world which is incredibly important for fantasies/fae books in particular. I always love it when they include the glossary to help keep track of different characters and terms because I like to take breaks with complex books and those are a nice reminder for when I pick back up. Lannahi is a strong character but somehow her family sees her as weak. There is plenty of danger, action, suspense, and magic throughout this wonderfully complex book. I highly recommend picking it up, and I’m off to find more of this author’s magic!

I usually love reading this type of books of supernatural, but it really took me sometime to get into this book. It was very slow of me in the beginning, and I was very almost bored, but I trucked thou it. honestly, thou it did start to pick up and I really was enjoying it more and more. I really enjoyed how the book was very well written thou, it flowed very nicely. The world building o this book was like I was right there in the book, along with Lannahi and her adventure to challenge queens and the Fae worlds. Once this book got going with the life Lannahi needed to change and then challenge it was starting to be enjoyable. Lannahi was a very well thought out character and I really liked the fact that we could be along for this adventure so had to go though, this strong independent woman that doesn’t want to be held down by a man, really was a wonderful enjoyment.

Heavy emotional rollercoaster. While I have seen Theresa’s books over time while working at a library, I hadn’t previously given them a read until now. One of my new years resolutions was to read books by as many new authors as I could, and this series always looked interesting. I must say I was not prepared for the deep emotions that I would be taken for a ride with, but the book had me holding my breath from start to finish praying Julia could get a win. Julia is in modern day London but as she writes her biography, we are taken on the journey of who Julia is and how she came to this point. She is over half a century old, and a combination of things has her getting flashbacks to her past life, her human life. The only way to be rid of the flashbacks is to confront them and discover what the importance is in them. 1492, Julia was born and while her childhood was mostly wonderful considering nothing prepared her for what was to come after overhearing her father and brother speaking when she was eleven. At fifteen she was to marry Gregory Smith, a man wealthier than her own father had asked for her hand and while it was not the man, she wanted to marry her father accepted for her and that was final. All Julia ever wanted was to have the power to make her own decisions about her own life. To have control. Immediately her younger sister informs her of the uneasy feelings she gets around Gregory and the urge to flee from the room he enters, but it’s too late she has no choice but to marry him. Crystal, her sister, warns her to be careful. What follows the marriage and in the first two years is heartbreaking, not only what Julia experiences at the hands of her husband but of her own father. Will Julia find an escape? Can she have a happy moment that’s not tainted with painful consequences? The world the author builds is based off history, the times in which the story takes place are accurate which makes reading it so much more painful as some today still deal with similar situations. The characters have immense strength and fight to overcome all that they are faced with. Finding one thing to fight for to keep her going. I have found a new author and series to follow and now off to book two, Pursuit into Darkness to see what happens next for Julia.

This was an impulse read and I am beyond happy that I picked it up! It definitely took me through a range of emotions as our main character, Bella, goes through a divorce and begins finding herself again. She also finds herself in the new-age dating world with each book documenting the Mr. Guy she has found for the time being. This box set was incredibly steamy, but also surprisingly funny and had me laughing out loud multiple times. I really enjoyed that the men she met were completely different from each other because a lot of romance books find the female character stuck between two very similar guys. I had such fun reading this box set and cannot wait to continue with this series! Don’t pass this one up, it’s not like anything you’ve read before!

5 Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Sasha Smart: Short Stories for Girls is a true gem. Inspirational, positive learning, overcoming obstacles, acceptance of others with good messages I believe this is a great book for some good discussions on topics that truly can hit home. While this book is geared more toward ages 8-12, Sasha gives great examples and senarios that even the older crowd can learn or use as a reminder.
This collection of short stories is engaging with some great illustrations in between. I love the feeling of building confidence in a young girl as she navigates different real life senarios that we all have been subjected to in one time or another.
I highly recommend this book for any girl to read. Inspiring!
Margo is at the top of her game and about to win a prestigious award until one night changes everything. When it seems she has no other options, she takes a job with a dictator of a small country. Margo ends up not knowing who to trust or where to turn. When her friends and family are in danger Margo has to do all she can to try to protect them. This book kept me wanting more and I have added this author to my must read more list.

Do you ever find yourself yelling at the literary characters you are engaging with during a great read? I was hollering “NO!” at Margo pretty much from the very beginning of this story but she just didn’t listen to me!!! Because she didn’t listen to my pleas of “NO!”, “Don’t drink that!”, “Don’t go there!”, Margo ended up in a heap of trouble. Margo is a photographer who is looking at winning a huge award that will make her even more noticeable in the world of photography. One thing leads to another and she finds herself in the castle of a psycho wanna be dictator. All of a sudden, she’s not sure who she can trust and she may have put her trust in a man who could ruin her even more than the dictator. After a daring escape, Margo still finds herself looking over her shoulder, as well as those of her loved ones.
This is a good one!! Lots of action, travel, and a little romance in this, among some major backstabbing and plans of war. Not a dull moment in this read and I had to finish it in one setting!

The Marcy Series Boxed Set contains the first three books in The Marcy Series entitled Rage; Confusion; and Agony and Ecstasy. The stories center around the main character of Marcy as she attempts to navigate the emotions she is experiencing at different times in her life. In the first book entitled Rage, Marcy is experiencing anger issues that over time become so intense they almost consume her. She is also having terrible nightmares that are affecting her sleep and keeping her awake. When she is witness to a robbery and takes down the armed robber during a fit of rage, she meets Liam who asks for her help in his mission. In Book Two, Confusion, Marcy finds herself in the middle of a love triangle with Brad and Liam. All three have their own issues to work through but Marcy’s issues are a bit more complicated and not so easy to solve. Marcy wants to move forward in her life and heal from the hurts of her past but that may be impossible. In the third book entitled, Agony and Ecstasy, Marcy endures a lot of pain and suffering that puts her strength to the test. This one is a bit of a heavier read that will surely have the reader experiencing the intense emotions alongside Marcy. This series had anger, love, drama, angst, drama, passion, action, mystery, suspense, hurt, secrets, and twists and turns that will keep you hooked until the end. I enjoyed watched the characters grow and evolve throughout the series and became heavily invested in Marcy’s story.

The Rocklyns books are wonderfully well-written, quick and easy sometimes emotional reads that are both heartwarming and heartfelt. I enjoyed the stories so much that before I knew it, I was turning the last page. I didn’t have to wait as I had them all in one boxed set so I could just jump to the next book straightaway. Set in the beautiful Napa of the East Coast where the Rocklyns have a vineyard where family is everything, but love is even better. These adorable well-developed characters drew me into each of their journeys on a sometimes-twisted path to love. From secrets, lies, danger, broken spirits, haunting scars to hot and steamy encounters, banter, sadness, laughter, hope, angst, tension and love Alicia has penned a beautiful addicting series. This is a romance bundle that has me hooked.
