This was a sweet Mail Order Bride book. Joy is in an impossible situation. Pomeroy is a wealthy snake, determined to have her, and will stop at nothing to get her after her grandmother passes away, leaving a supposed debt owed to him. This was a lovely story about protecting those you care about and finding love along the way. Jack is a fierce protector but he can’t do it all alone.

Angela Lam does an amazing job at making the reader feel the emotions that the characters are feeling and as though they are in the story. Twists and turns kept me engaged through the entire book. I enjoyed No Amends from start to finish. Twists and turns occur in the story when you least expect them to. This love triangle will keep you guessing until the very end. If you are looking for a dark romance with a psychological thriller mixed in, look no further.

This is an author that I have enjoyed reading from the first book I picked up. This is the seventh book in this series which is just as great as the previous books in this series. I enjoy this author’s writing skills and attention to details to make the story realistic. This is a story that is well written and hard to put down. Jake is back in another mystery that turns into a race against time. When he tries to leave his past behind but he finds himself thrown back into it. I enjoyed his character and all that he brings to the story. He kept me turning pages fast just to see what would happen next. I enjoyed watching the growth of the plot throughout that made the story easy and entertaining to read. This is a fast paced story that I really enjoyed. This is one of my favorites yet. I highly recommend this book.

This is my first book by this author which I enjoyed reading from beginning to end. I look forward to reading more from them in the future. I enjoyed how the author used details to pull me into the story. They made the story feel realistic. This is a Christmas romance story that will put you in the holiday spirit. This is a well written story about Marshal Jack and the two four year olds that he has inherited. His problem is that he was not expecting them and with his income does not have much money for a nanny. What happens when it is suggested to Marshal Jack that he marry? This is a great story that is hard to put down. A story where the characters are full of emotion and will pull at your heartstrings in parts. They are connectable and have great chemistry throughout. They made the story easy to read and brought out the holiday spirit. I highly recommend this book

Not to mention, a year’s worth of supplies (including a stove) to be able to survive there, because once you get there, you are iced in until spring. So to save his money to get there, he takes other trips out to Texas and Oklahoma. He has other adventures and ends up befriending Gus, who becomes a good, reliable friend. When he returns from those, he finds out that his trip has been approved, but it comes with a few strings. Can Mark agree to the terms to gain the trip of a lifetime? Or will it become too much to ask of him?
I really love reading this author! Their stories always make me feel like I am right there in history watching the adventures play out in my mind. The characters are written in such a relatable/likeable way that it is easy to want to be their friend! I also enjoyed the mention and interaction with Emma from the author’s Notebook Mysteries series (if you haven’t read that series, you should!). I love that their story is still continuing on with the next generation. It was an enjoyable read and am looking forward to the next in the series!

Wonderful children’s story that was very enjoyable, colorful illustrations and lessons learned about patience and courage. Mama Warbler’s babies are starting to hatch from her nest of eggs, starting with the biggest egg. As Mama Warbler is hard at work to find food for her babies, one little egg is left a bit timid to come out into the world….until it is time to make their appearance.
This author is one of my favorites. This book starts off fast paced and continues that way through the whole story. If you are a Zombie fan, this is the story for you. This story is packed with action and the ending will blow you away.
This book is narrated by Jess Jacob. She has an amazing voice and really brought this story to life. I’m looking forward to listening to more stories narrated by her.
I adored this book the second I started reading it, it feels so realistic. I love that it takes place in 1846 during the San Francisco Gold Rush, not only was it a great love story of enemies to lovers, but it was packed with excitement of a woman (Elena Santoro) seeking revenge for the death of her little brother Antoine. Elena has given up everything in her life to find out who was the person who killed her little brother, and then to seek revenge by taking their life. Elena must wait for her brother’s friend to finish up his jail sentence before asking him who caused the death of her brother. Carmelo tells Elena that her brother’s killer is none other than the man who had refused her advances in her younger years, none other than Sean Mitchell. Once she finds out this information, she sets her plans in motion to seek out Sean and take his life, once done she will finally settle down and marry. This story has so many unexpected surprises that just keep happening, that no matter what well-set plans Elena has set, something keeps going awry to make her doubt herself as well as her feelings for this man whom she has never forgiven for refusing her prior advances. Will Elena be able to fulfill her promise to her mother’s dying wish, or will she answer the call of her heart instead? The characters in this book are so full of passion and fire that they just capture your heart upon meeting them, you begin to doubt what is suspected of them, and it is so exciting to watch their story play out with all of the unexpected incidents that continue to befall our two main characters, Elena and Sean. I am so excited to go back and look up the other books in this series because this is the first book I’ve ever read of Pamela Gibson. I am amazed at how well she portrays the time of the events, it’s like I was right there experiencing the gold rush and fearing for the crowds of people all coming to San Francisco, California. This is another amazing paranormal M/M romance from this author. I have read loads of book and I am never disappointed. The author does an incredible job of making the stories unique and with all the books I’ve read there is never the same story. What I love about this author is their ability to captivate me from the start and surprising me along the way. This is a quick read which will keep you gripped all the way through. I don’t want to give too much away but this is a story that has it all, danger, secrets, Paranormal activity and of course romance and chemistry.

Heart’s Escape is the third book in the paranormal fantasy Fallen Hearts series. This story is told my fav way of storytelling from alternating POV’s given us a much more in-depth view of who the characters are. Meredith has once again intricately woven together an amazing tale that is well written. Her writing style paints a vivid picture of this unique and exciting world that has many characters. There are elves, dwarves, dragons, and strange shadow monsters. They may be broken but they take charge and forge ahead in this action adventure that is full of violence, danger and unexpected developments that had me on the edge of my seat. Two strangers from different worlds lost, desperate and secrets start these characters on a dangerous road. This journey is a steamy slow burn enemies to lover’s tale. There is a lot going on in this fast-paced tale that is full of magic, fear, hate, danger, passion, desperation, hope, plots, portals, a touch of humour, banter, and spicy romance. This exciting book will appeal to anyone who enjoys reading paranormal romantasy tales with dragons and supernatural beings. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series!
I absolutely love this series. I am so glad there is more Jake and Cody my favourite pair. Mission Target is the seventh epic tale in the Jake Wolfe series and not to be missed. You really do need to read he books in order to appreciate this pair and understand everything that has happened to bring the characters where they are today. Mark is a master at cleverly weaving together a thrilling story that never leaves you wanting. He is a dynamic storyteller, and he packs a punch with his vivid vision and portrayal of fully developed characters and never-ending action. This gripping tale is a rollercoaster of a ride with lots of twists and turns you don’t see coming. It is a suspenseful thriller that is so engrossing that the end is upon you before you know it. As much as there is action galore and lots of suspense and tension that is palpable, it is also fun and humorous, and I was laughing out loud. The characters are well developed, fully realised and definitely flawed. Jake and his best friend Cody crack me up they are completely unique characters. Whenever these two are on a case there is mayhem and madness. The story is told in the third person POV of several characters. Telling a story this way I love as it makes the story even more dynamic and make them so much more real. Jake a covert operative will do everything in his power to keep the enemy winning but this time he maybe way out of his wheelhouse as he faces an enemy like no other. This fast-paced read is completely enthralling, and I read it in one sitting because it is so good that you don’t want to waste a minute in finding out what is going on. With threats, a twisted maze of crimes, secrets, lies, and murders and a life-or-death battle and a ruthless global criminal organization Mark caters to every thriller lover.

Joy’s Christmas Escape is the first book in The Marshal’s Mail Order Bride series by new-to-me author P. Creeden. This is the first book that I have read by Ms. Creeden, so I really didn’t know what to expect from one of her books, but the blurb intrigued me enough to want to find out, and I love a good historical romance. So I let my one-click finger loose and snapped up a copy to set off on the adventure. I am excited to find that this is part of (what appears to be) an 8-part series, something to look forward to. The author also has numerous other books to her name, so I can feel a book-binge coming on. Kneading a Winning Idea is a fun story with a prized recipe just waiting to be taste tested to boot. Terri has incorporated a message for young or old to take to heart.
But it is not just a story it is a learning tool as well as Ben learns the importance of trying and sticking it through to the finish whether you win or lose. It teaches them to problem solve whilst also being taught that losing or failure is not a bad thing. I think this is a message that is severely missing in children of today.
It is aimed at pre tweens, children aged between 3–8-year-olds who just love to be involved in cooking.
The beautiful pictures done by Pei Jen are bright and colourful and really help to bring this story to life.

We all love a good mystery but no one more than Dylan. So, when the mail goes missing Dylan is your man or should I say Detective Dylan is your man, err boy? I mean who are you going to call when a crime goes down in the neighbourhood? As Dylan and his tribe of one little sister and a furry four-footed friend set out to find the truth the fun and mayhem begins. Rise of the Y is the first book in The Y Chronicles by Angela D. Shelton. It is a YA dystopian story with adventure, secrets, agendas, family dynamics, rebels, who-to-trust, a hidden diary that reveals long-held secrets, danger, rebels/rebellion, a quest for truth, duty/responsibility vs freedom, dramatic developments, and religious elements/overtones. I really love a great dystopian story, and I love YA adventures- so when a book combines both- it’s a YES from me. I really wanted to love this book as it held the promise of great things, but unfortunately, I just couldn’t find my groove with this story- which frustrated me no end. I also didn’t connect with our FMC and character, which made it impossible to invest in her and the outcome of the story. She just didn’t win me over and I found her annoying. This could be a ‘me’ problem though- as I have been on a bit of an action-packed thriller binge of late- so I have decided to revisit this book again in a few weeks to see if I still feel the same way….. so stay tuned. I am curious to see where we go from here, so hopefully Book #2 will win me over. Happy Reading…

This book was a trip and a half. It did start fairly slow for me, but then about halfway through, it picked up. It is so full of drama and action, and I found myself falling in love with Jasmine’s character development as well as her friendship with Blake. I’ll definitely be waiting for the next book, cause I gotta know what happens next!

This is a cute book! I read this to my grandson who loved the animals and Ben making his biscuits. The story was engaging and the illustrations keeps the reader turning the pages. I enjoyed how Ben came up with his idea from watching his cat! The author also includes the recipe at the end of the book for readers to try on their own. It was an enjoyable read!

Let me start by saying this is the only book in this series I’ve read. And I plan to go back at some point and read the others. Which could very well change what I’m saying now. But we shall see… Well what’s there to say. Heart’s Escape was different. There were elements I enjoyed and others I didn’t. However, in saying that the parts I enjoyed and the way the author presented the story outweighed the parts I didn’t enjoy. Written in a duel pov the chapters go back and forth between the 2 main characters. Which I’m okay with. It flows, it works. It gives essence to the story. A girl on the run. A man that needs to be found. Alindra and Phaedron set out on a journey to achieve both those tasks. Alindra, a Summer Kingdom magician, is planning to run. Leave the kingdom. This isn’t the place for her any longer. So it seems. What she didn’t expect was a portal to open up into the room and Phaedron to ask for her help. Before she could agree the portal spit him out and collapsed. She knew he had magic. Otherwise how’d he get there. She also knows he is from the Fall Kingdom. So what’s he doing here? Phaedron needs a magician and the magician in his realm can’t be trusted. When he meets Alindra he is blown away. One by her beauty but also because she was so willing to help. But can she be trusted? He agrees to help her with her escape plan. Well that escape plan goes all sorts of wrong and now they are on the run. Secrets ruin everything. So as secrets start to come to light it makes their adventure more interesting. Does Alindra end up in the Fall Kingdom? Does Alindra help Phaedron get his brother back? Twists turns and obstacles, sometimes leading in a different direction. Which keeps the story intriguing! The character growth, at times hard to see in the end, worked out. Do you like supernatural romances, with some mystery thrown in? If so, this story is for you! You will get a taste of all that and more. This may not be my go yo genre and I gave it a chance. A chance collectively hasn’t turned out too bad.
I loved this book. Unique story with a dual POV this M/M paranormal romance is a must read. I never hesitate to read any books that this author writes as she is definitely one of my favorites. This was a quick read that packed a punch in every page I turned. The secrets that are hidden at Eden Cove Manor were not what I expected at all….surprisingly….this story was so much more…suspense, mystery, intrigue….this story was fantastic.

Lois Wickstrom has such fun children’s books. This one is up there in my favorites. Monsters don’t exist or do they? In this fun adaptation, we learn to face our fears. The big red monster wants to work or he’ll eat you. Will you be able to find him enough jobs to keep him satisfied?

This book is such a fun children’s book. Who would have thought kneading like a cat could help? I really loved how the story took something that many children don’t know about and showed them how it can help them find a solution. Ben does a wonderful job learning and growing with his biscuit recipe.

Devastation. Suspense. This is the first work I have read by the incredible Kate Larkindale, and honestly her skill left me devastated at so many points. Several chapters were read through nonstop tears as I devoured this mystery in hopes of a happy ending of some kind. Anastasia Nonu goes by Stas, she is seventeen and lives with her mom, mama K (mom’s long-term partner) and Teddy, her little brother. She seemed to be finding acceptance in her life with things she couldn’t change while also finding moments for herself, such as going to her dads for a bimonthly visit but sneaking out to a party with her best friend. Irena Varushkin is her Russian ballerina mother, who teaches classes out of her studio behind their home. Tusi Nonu is her Samoan father that owns a theatre across town and is a contemporary dancer. While their love story started with sparks it ended in a fire that led to them splitting after five years when Stas was only four. With Mom and Mama K’s wedding days away, things were getting stressful. A great day asked out by the cute boy, Zane, at the party last weekend ends in devastation when Stas realizes her mother hadn’t come back inside yet from her “workout” in the studio. In search of her mother before K and Teddy returned home from scouts leads her to the scar of a lifetime and beyond. The only thing worse than finding her mother’s body, being told she would be taken from the only true family she had left by “blood” relatives she had never met or rarely seen. Her only light in all her darkness and grief is Zane but what’s his story? Who is responsible for her mother’s murder? Her father sees her mom’s relationship is a sin, could he really be behind this? While the world is ours the diversity of the characters is beautiful to mentally picture. Stas is Russian mother and Samoan father, while she mostly takes after her father, she has her mother’s Russian bone structure with her father’s beautiful skin. Teddy is Mama K’s; she is Korean and used a Slavic sperm-donor, so he resembles her mom Irena also to be “their son”. While Teddy has his mother’s Korean features such as eyes and skin tone, he has the Slavic soft blonde hair and blue eyes. Their family truly sounds beautiful with such unique diversity within it. As mentioned above I did bawl like a baby in several parts and for several chapters as I have experienced the unrelenting grief of loss, not with my mother but my Irish twin brother. The author’s ability to capture so much pain and emotion leaves your heart rung out on the floor as you gasp for air and fight through each page hooked by the words and begging for answers to soothe the pain. I certainly will be keeping an eye out for more of Kate’s work, her talent is stunning and all-consuming.

I was super excited for this book. I’m a Christmas person and love stories and such about Christmas. That being said, this wasn’t as Christmas as I thought it would be. You follow Joy and Jack as they learn about themselves and each other. This is a unique story with a deep root of love. The first few pages took me some time to get into but if you push through, you’ll fall in love with it.
