This isn’t my typical type of book I usually read. I’m so glad I chose this book. This book had me thinking and learning at the same time. The book was about nuclear weapons. When I first picked up the book, I knew absolutely nothing about nuclear weapons. I now learned some things about it. The author did an amazing job describing things in this book.

5 Star’s Chasing Cheer (Emerald Hollow Book 1) by Heather Schneider
Chasing Cheer is the first book in the Emerald Hollow Series and a wonderfully written Contemporary Romance that I absolutely loved reading. This was just what I needed to pull me out of the funk I’ve been in lately. Everything about this book screams happiness, love, magical love and so much more This author done a wonderful job re-creating a Christmas classic with a twist. This is a newer author to me but I’m a fan already. The characters are fun, relatable, fully developed and creative. They make the story come to life and I can picture the vivid colors and even picture it in my mind. Emerald Hollow sounds like my kind of town and I could picture myself living there. Holly and Ash. Holly travels a lot collecting cheer to take back to the North Pole. But a stop in Emerald Hollow is about to change everything she thought she knew. Ash is trying everything he can to save his small town. But things are about to change for him as well. I highly recommend reading this sweet Christmas story to find out what happens next. I look forward to reading more from this Author.

Flanks the line between fantasy and reality This trilogy was fascinating. As always this author delivers a brilliant suspense thriller mystery. Gigi, Ellen and Lilly along with Dr. Kite bring their POV to the story. Micro chips delivering dreams or false hopes. It took a little while for the story to take off and once it did I was hooked until the end. The character’s stories are interwoven well and the suspense built across the books, so it is worth reading them in order. Recommend.

That’s exactly what happens though after a massive explosion unearths some old bones. Trudy Beasley is the Assistant Chief Medical Examiner in Philadelphia, and she intends to figure out this mystery. Her counterpart, Forensic anthropologist Benjamin Roberts, disagrees that there is a legal reason to try to figure out the truth. Being on the same side they of course work together closely during the investigation and their professional relationship turns into a romantic one. The secrets they have unearthed brings danger to their lives and could potentially spell the end of their newfound romance. Someone intended to have their secrets remain hidden with those bones even long after they were gone. Now though, they must stop the investigation at all costs. Will Benjamin and Trudy be able to stop the killer before they find another victim, or worse become a victim themselves? I am absolutely enjoying this author and her writing style. The characters all go so well together as well. Sure, they are in close proximity with their professions, but the relationships have all grown organically. The twists and turns will keep you turning the pages and anticipating what is going to happen next. The author sucks you in again with an amazing story of survival and surpassing. Vixen, through the Devil’s Handmaidens, has not only survived the ordeal that was forced upon her, she has managed to build a life beyond. She still has ghosts and baggage, but who doesn’t?
Vixen receives a call from her past. This call, this person can bring everything good and wonderful in Vixen’s new life to a grinding halt. As more secrets and shadows of the past surface, Vixen finds herself swallowed by all the emotions. All she wants is to get lost in the high she knows she could find in a needle but Vixen also knows that is not the way to solve anything. Lucas “Ironside” was part of her past but now, he is there as a part of the present. Could he be part of her future?
Lucas “Ironside” risked his life for Vixen then. He is risking everything for her now. He Thought he was doing what was best for Vixen when he just disappeared because he could not bring her further into his world of undercover work. The choices he made, the things he did for Vixen then was to give her a future. Lucas can finally tell her, but will she forgive him?
As Vixen and Lucas fight the past, it leads the Devil’s Handmaidens into dangerous territory. Their mission was to rescue three young women. What they find is so much more. The Handmaidens, along with their support system, do what they always do and fight the evils man has wrought on this world, making survivors out of human trafficking victims.
This author does it again. There is nothing like the cast of characters that she has put together in this series. From Tink to Shadow to Vixen to Avalanche, everyone is special and will melt your heart. Loving this new gentler Shadow.
Beautiful Dangerous is the fourth book in the Philly Heat series by Becky Flade. It is another tense and intriguing romantic suspense- with an unhinged stalker on the loose, danger, mystery, drama, intense developments, emotion, chemistry, sizzle, action, forced proximity, a quest for redemption, and more. As I have said before, this author certainly knows how to tell a gripping story and has once again crafted a tight, well-woven, and intriguing plot. I have devoured this series, excitedly pouncing on each new instalment as they release, and have loved them all- but have to say that I think this is my most favourite of the series, so far. The characters have been skilfully crafted into fully realised individuals with their own unique personalities, quirks, and flaws. They are not only relatable, but entirely realistic and believable- which made this story all the more convincing and engrossing. Philly Heat is a series of standalone books, where each instalment focuses on a different ‘couple’- but there are some interconnected characters/details which tie the whole series together. I recommend reading the previous books, too- because they are fantastic reads in their own rights. This is Hannah and Doyle’s turn, and I was pulled into their story right from the beginning, becoming fully invested in them and the outcome of their story. They are both damaged and bruised souls in their own way, and have been through so much already- but fate isn’t finished with them quite yet as they are thrust together while danger circles- sparks ignite and their simmering chemistry starts to boil over. But with an unhinged stalker in the mix, things take a complicated turn when Hannah and Doyle’s connection drives the stalker to dangerous new heights. What happens makes for a gripping read.. Looking forward to more in this series! Happy reading!

The Moon that Fell from Heaven is the fifth book in the Empire at Twilight series by N.L Holmes. As with everything that Ms. Holmes does, this is very detailed and descriptive- full of rich historical details that she infuses into all her stories. The Moon That Fell from Heaven is an interesting historical fiction story blended with historical facts, some mystery, angst, emotion, drama, politics, agendas, scheming, corruption, power plays, family dynamics, religion, loyalty, duty, responsibility, intrigue, and conflict. I have read most of Ms. Holmes’ books now and am always quite taken with her passion for history which is very evident in all her writing. This passion definitely adds to the enjoyment of her story/s. Although I did enjoy the story for the most part- it isn’t my favourite of this series. It was a little slow to get going, which then made it hard for me to find my groove and ‘get into’ it- but the further into the story the better it got, the pace picked up more, and the story got more interesting. There are a lot of characters to keep track of, and a lot of information, which, for me at times, felt like a bit of an info dump. I also had trouble connecting with Enli-nikkalu, even though I did ‘feel’ for her at times, she just frustrated me so much at the beginning that I didn’t become invested in her or her story like I was hoping to. But maybe that’s just a ‘me’ thing- so you probably should read the story for yourself and make up your own mind. Because if you love ancient history mixed with fiction, original stories with interesting settings and characters- as well as a little mystery and intrigue, then you will probably enjoy this book. Happy Reading…

Aspen wants to have fun and she’s new to town. Beach party catches her attention once invited. She ends up having a one night stand. But will it turn into more now that she is pregnant? Love this book and the series.
Another interesting read by this author taking place in non other, Millersville. This is the first book by this author that didn’t feel like it came completely out of left field. Violet recently opened her own security firm and upon meeting her first client, finds herself deep in a security issue. This book really touched on how much individuals in high places are so easy to dismiss those not in their circle. Violet really had to hold her own, even after finding out that her mom is one of the masterminds of these protests. This is a standalone and no other book needs to be read to know what is going on, however, the glimpses into previous books were a nice nod to the others that take place I’m Millersville.
As I’m looking for my next read, I see this book has second chance romance, rockstar angst, great characters, and reigniting attraction was what did it for me. The frontman for Rev, Jordan is finding success in his band after a year of being away. The tour manager for Rev’s upcoming tour and former flame of Jordan’s, Alexis notices the changes in Jordan and possibly reconsiders starting things up again. When fragile moments take hold and career aspirations take hold, will this make or break Alexis and Jordan? Very enjoyable read!

When We Fell Again: An angsty, second chance rockstar romance
Wow. This book grabbed me as soon as I started reading and did let me off the ride of emotions until I read the last word.
Jordan and Alexis have a lot of history together. They were a couple in college and once that ended they didn’t see each other for for five years. Until they were reunited unexpectedly, he the singer of Idol Rev, she the tour manager.
Jordan’s story is quite sad but also empowering. He has deal some pretty difficult things and fought to overcome them even with the memories flashing up at times.
Lex is successful and the one the company she works for depends on. Her life is different while having some parallels to Jordan.
I felt everything while reading. I throughly enjoyed this book and hope to see more by Ms. Archer and about the Idol Rev guys.

When We Fell Again by Julie Archer is available now in eBook and Physical Book ⭐️⭐️⭐⭐ Book Review
When We Fell Again is a standalone, second chance at romance novel. Jordan plays in a rock band, has some issues with jealousy in the female department, and has some nasty habits he must kick. Alexis, a tour manager, has little will to deal with the shenanigans causing the two of them to end their relationship. Fast forward a few years and the two have been reunited. When sparks begin to fly and a second chance at romance is presented, will Jordan prove to Alexis that he has changed his ways?
When We Fell Again was simple but full of angst and steamy moments. I am a sucker for a good love song and it’s even better if it’s sung by a hunk with a guitar. Jordan was totally that hunk and he stole my heart from the very beginning. His bad habits had me on edge the entire time fearing the worst for his character. All of the characters were lovable, relatable, and down to earth. I felt most of the excitement in this novel happened in the last few chapters and then the novel ended. I wish there would have been more “bulk” throughout. Despite my wish for more bulk, there truly was so much more to this novel than just a steamy love story. This was my first time reading a novel written by Julie Archer and she touched on tough topics with such ease. I would not hesitate to read another novel written by this author and I highly recommend this book to anyone who appreciates a good love story with great characters and a happy ever after!

Sometimes you need to grow up in order for a relationship to thrive. At least, that’s the case when it comes to Jordan and Lex. These exes find themselves inhabiting the same space when Lexi is asked to go on tour with the band that Jordan is the lead singer for. Their relationship in the past did not end well, but they are determined to be mature adults about having to work together. Quite quickly, the old feelings start to surface and their chemistry is hard to ignore. However, Jordan’s past comes back to haunt him and Lex has to decide whether to protect her heart and walk away, or hold on tight and hope the past is not going to repeat itself.
I really enjoyed Jordan and Lex’s characters. Jordan has found himself in some rough situations (sometimes due to his own making), and I feel like he really matured during this book. Their chemistry can be felt coming off of the pages. There were times that I wanted to knock some sense into both of them…but the story was a fun read that I enjoyed from beginning to end. Please note, there are some topics that are heavy…but they don’t take away from the story itself. Overall, a good story!

This author is quickly becoming one of my must read authors. I just recently found this author and I’ve been completely entranced so far. The stories have kept me on my toes and this one was another amazing story. The characters are so easy to connect with, they pull you into their world completely. I will say that I recommend reading the series in order as there’s overlapping characters and such. This book has everything you are wanting in a thriller story. This author knows how to keep readers guessing and coming back for more. Five big stars and I can’t wait for more!

Intriguing, suspenseful and interesting sci fi trilogy that was quite enjoyable. This is a perfect box set and the books are meant to be read as a series and definitely not a stand alone.
This series of events from the books has Dr. Kite offering an implant to help and where we meet Gigi, Lilly and Ellen. This implants alters/changes they way they see them-self. Ellen is trying desperately to lose weight and feel good about herself, Gigi is looking for love and Lilly trying to get through her feelings from a divorce. With Dr. Kite’s game changing offer….will this help Ellen, Lilly and Gigi….until he finds out there is some defects in the microchips…
As the story continues in book 2, the ladies try and move on with their life, making sense of it all. You get more from Lilly, Gigi and Ellen as they navigate their next steps…..what is Dr. Kite up to next…..and the epic conclusion in book 3 find out what happens to the end……definitely a roller coaster ride of twists and turns ………

This was a great 5 star read. The author’s writing pulled me in right from the beginning. The characters were great. I really liked Arryn and Rowan’s strength and their connection, of course they started out as enemies but eventually realized their feelings and connection. We get so much that you are on the edge of your seat reading. We get steamy, magic, action, danger, and so much more. All of the amazing characters added a great element to the story. We get multiple POV which I really enjoy so you can see what each of them are thinking. I can’t wait to read more from this series and author. 1-click and get started today.
This was an amazing addition to the series! I am a big fan of the crime and thriller genre, so this was right up my alley. The author has such a way of transitioning through the book that you don’t notice a shift which is incredible. I thought the flow was marvelous! This book will have you on a rollercoaster of guessing what will happen, taking you through twists and turns until you realize you’ll just never be able to guess so you enjoy the ride! I highly recommend picking up the first in the series to get the background, and then continue the thrilling story with this installment. I can’t wait to see what this author has in store for us next!

This is a great read but intense! This really brings out emotions for these characters. Mostly Vixen! This girl has been through the wringer and just when she is feeling comfortable….WOOSH! There goes the rug from under her feet. Thank goodness she belongs to the Handmaidens as they always seem to have their ladies backs. Mix in people from a couple other groups and this becomes a full roster.
This also covers suspense, action and drama pretty well. Somehow with serious subject and the posturing of characters the author seems to be able to drop in humor as well. Nicely Done!
I could not put this one down!! Right off the bat, this one had me hooked. I love the characters and how they all come together to find the creep that has been stalking Hannah. So many elements go into this story and solving not only one crime, but several all at once.
There is a great balance of romance and mystery with this one. Not a dull moment throughout the entire book. I can’t wait to read more by this author as she weaves some engaging tales that will stay with you.

Like my review of book 1 of Gumshoe Mysteries, I found this book to be better engaging for the middle grades crowd, instead of the targeted YA audience. I appreciated the insights to all the intricate components of a quinceanara, and thought Mia’s fears about school shootings were realistic yet poignant.
My favorite parts of the book, akin to book #1, was the banter between Mia and Gumshoe, and the words/phrases they use (and misunderstand each other) due to the centuries of age difference between the two. I eagerly await for book #3!

This book was so so good. The right amount of intimacy for the “scary” parts. the twist at the end, I sort of saw it coming but not happening the way that it did. I love the build-up of this story and the suspense. This wasn’t my typical genre but I am very glad that I chose it. The red hair and the olive skin. The family dynamic and the realism in the storyline. I found it predictable but not. Hanna is a bomb lawyer and has a fire to her that Doyle is attracted to but he is taking a leave for personal reasons from work but something brings them together. I loved this book and highly recommend it.

Although targeted to an older audience, to me, Gumshoe and the Mysterious Mushrooms is a perfect middle grade book, and explores how Mia gets to know her familiar, the cat Gumshoe, as she solves the mystery and saves her family’s restaurant.
The writing style is refreshing, and with the onset of kid cooking shows, I think this book would be a great hit with youngsters (as well as myself!). I can’t wait to read the second book in the series and find out what other mysteries this sleuthing pair can solve.

I wish I had paid more attention and read the first two books in the Shadowstalker Series. With not having the whole story it did make the book harder to read but is doable. You just miss a lot. It is a YA fantasy story full of adventure. The characters are great and everything runs real well together pulling you into the story. I definitely recommend reading the first two and then this one but a great series.

A tale as old as time; love that wasn’t ready just yet. It was true love but they weren’t ready but maybe they are now. We follow Lex and Jordan in their slow descent back into love. Will they finally be happily ever after or will the same mistakes coming back up? Read this love story and find out.

This is a fun and engaging story with some red hot characters right in the centre. I love a good enemies to lovers story and this is a great example of that type of story. The surprise wedding and everything that stems from it builds up to be a great book. This is the sixth book in the series and can be read as a standalone. However, it is definitely worth reading all of these books. This one is well written and exciting to read. I connected with it easily and could not wait to see how things would work out. I would certainly recommend this book.

This is another brilliant addition to this intriguing series and I think it has to be my favourite in the series so far. The story is full of twists and turns and it utterly captivating. I felt like it was never a given as to which way it would all turn out, and that kept me on the edge of my seat. The characters have undeniable chemistry which draws you in all the more. Hannah and Doyle really made the book for me, adding that icing on the proverbial cake. They each seemed to have so much going on and yet came together convincingly. This is a well written and suspenseful book that is truly enjoyable.

Any book about Christmas and the holiday season and, mixed with romance, I am all for it. This book, to me, felt like a hallmark Christmas movie, small town with romance AND an inn, what more can you ask for! My heart ached to watch Holly struggle at first to meet her cheer quota, and comparing herself to her dad and the way he was always able to get the cheer needed. The interactions and romance between Ash and Holly are sweet and innocent, it wouldn’t be a Christmas theme without an immediate draw towards each other for the two main characters. This book just made me feel very warm and happy, like the Christmas season usually does for me. I look forward to what comes next in Emerald Hollow.
Daring Ceri is Book Six in the True Platinum Rock Star Romance Series. It is a second chance, rockstar romance full of love, loss, lust, betrayal, angst, and passion. The story centers around the characters of Ceri and Alex who went their separate ways years earlier. Alex’s band was on the verge of becoming famous and he broke it off with Ceris so he would not be cheating on her. Ceri was heartbroken over this but after years apart she has finally found someone and is about to become married. However, things get a bit tricky when she discovers that she is somehow legally married to Alex after a drunken wedding ceremony in Fuji years ago. Now she must find Alex and get divorce papers signed. When Alex sees Ceri he regrets breaking up with her and wants to win her back. He tells her to return to his band as their backup dancer for one tour and if she has no feelings for him, they can go their separate ways. The ensuing journey is a rough one as Alex tries to prove his love and loyalty to Ceri who is determined to not have him break her heart for a second time. No matter how hard she tries to fight it though, Ceri is inexplicably drawn to Alex. This was a steamy second chance romance that hooked me from the first pages and had me reading until the end.
