Kiera O’Ryan is smart, successful and is good at her job, but there is one thing that has her searching the dark corners and causing her to question her sanity she has a stalker. Although she has requested help from the Montana Police they can’t seem to find or locate who the person is. They always feel one step ahead, until she recruits her neighbour to help.
Cade Hartford is ex-forces and working for a Private Military contractor but when his neighbour comes to him to help with her stalker problem, he jumps straight in to help, the only problem is this stalker is always ahead of them and it feels very much like a game of cat and mouse.
Can Cade help Kiera find the culprit and recuse Kiera?
This is the first book I have read from this author and will not be the last, the twists and turns in this book have you at the edge of your seat with anticipation.
The story is well written, and the main characters are well balanced and suit each other brilliantly, the chemistry between them jumps off the page and adds to the flow of the story as the drama builds. The character of Cade is a great alpha male and as I say I love a flawed character and he has his hang-ups along the way, although with the strong female character of Kiera and her strong will and sassy nature this makes a brilliant combination.
As this book can be read as a standalone, I can’t wait for the next book in this series and I believe Mavery Ellscott has just become another author in my very long TBR list.
