Earl of Griffith is the sixth book in the Once Upon a Widow series. The Regency romance drew me in, and I finished this in one go. I haven’t read other books in this series, but I was not lost with the story. Lady Helen is widowed with a toddler. Will she ever let anyone in romantically again? While escorted by Conway to London, they develop a friendship that evolves into more. I enjoyed this sweet story of finding and giving love a chance after being hurt. The characters were delightful and charming. I had been looking for a romance that wasn’t overly erotic, and this hit the right spot. The story is not complex and full of deep meaning. Instead, this is a sweet, historical romance that reminds one that love can be found anywhere. I look forward to picking up more from this author in the future.

Tristan and Riley met by accident , literally , she was involved in an accident and he was on hand to help her
Tristan has a stage 5 clinger though and I think Shannon is a tad unstable and she just creeps me out and rightly so ! She does however add drama and suspense to the story
I just loved how Tristan watched over Riley the whole time and how protective he is , these 2 have some serious chemistry and left my kindle a little hot and bothered 😉

I really enjoyed this historical romance. It is a very sweet story about love, heartache and finding love again when you least expect it. The author does an amazing job of transporting the reader to that time period and really bringing it to life.
Helen was swept away by love at a young age, so much so that she leaves her home where she is a Lady, travels to Ireland and gets married against her parents wishes. She was young and thought she knew it all but how wrong she was. Fast forward and she now finds herself alone with a 3 year old daughter. Returning to her family home all she wants is to be safe. Romance is the last thing on her mind. Until the Earl of Griffith walks into her life. Their meeting was a act of fate you might say when Helen’s brother asks him to collect her from the ship. As soon as he lays eyes on Helen he knows she is the one for him and when he finds out the truth about her being widowed he plans to make Helen his.
This story is beautiful. Helen is dealing with a lot of grief and doubts about her judgement after everything she has been through and she is scared to let Conway close to her incase she gets hurt. But Conway is a patient man and I found it so beautiful how patient he was in allowing her to realise what he knew all along that they were meant to be together.

This is a romance of a different kind. Celia has a young daughter and her father Kyle has no clue. Knowing time was running out Celia had to come clean. Telling Kyle will be the hardest thing she has ever had to face. Next to breaking up with him. But she had her reasons and I understand them all too well. Kyle is a baseball player who has lost his first and only love. Eight years later both Kyle and Celia are face to face for the first time. Celia and Kyle may love each other in their hearts, but will Celia’s secret separate them? What a strong independent female character Celia is. Kyle too is so strong in his convictions. This author has brought romance out in this story. Her wording is enough to keep you reading. I was caught up in this story before I ended the first chapter. I enjoyed this story and look forward to the next in this series.

As a devoted cat lover, I couldn’t resist being captivated by the utterly adorable cover of the book, Editor Kill Fee by GG Collins. While I typically don’t judge a book by its cover, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the story itself was equally delightful. Choosing books solely based on their covers isn’t my usual approach, but this time it truly paid off.
What truly whiskered its way into my heart was the Santa Fe/New Mexico ambience infused throughout the pages. As someone who often embarks on literary adventures to compensate for the inability to afford actual travel, I was absolutely thrilled by GG Collins’ purrfectly vivid portrayal of the buildings, food, and overall culture of the Southwest. Every turn of the page transported me to a feline-fascinating world.
Now, I must admit that the plot meandered down a somewhat predictable path. However, given the cozy mystery genre, a touch of predictability is often expected. Fortunately, the dialogues and characters more than made up for any lack of surprise. They truly brought the story to life, whiskers and all. I found myself utterly engrossed in their interactions, purrfectly poised on the edge of my seat, eagerly lapping up each and every word.
While this book stands beautifully on its own, I’m positively purring with anticipation at the thought of sinking my claws into the first two books of the series. I have no doubt that they will provide even more delightful adventures for me to embark upon with these captivating characters.

OMFG!!!!!!!!! My friends are back and they brought some new people. I am down for that. I have missed these characters. On a side note, I should totally take stars off my rating for that ending. I knew it was going to end on a cliffhanger but Uhhhhhhhh, I was not expecting to be there dangling just by my fingertips on my strong hand waiting on the rescue of the next book.
Okay, let’s catch up on what happened. Riley and Cole have gone off to college leaving behind the rest of the Elite. Damon, Phoenix and Shane are starting their senior year of high school. Skylar, who made a brief appearance in Riley & Cole’s story, is a reporter writing for the school’s blog on the football team. This is where the conflict begins. Skylar writes an unflattering article on Damon and now he is out for blood but as much as he wants to take her down, he finds her intriguing.
Skylar is in the midst of her drama. Her best friend is on a mission to complete a list of goals to make senior year awesome, Skylar is not interested. Skylar’s abusive father is about to get out of jail. She just needs to get through the year to get the heck out of dodge, as the saying goes. She might have written that article to rile Damon but also because it was how she saw it. Now, Skylar needs Damon’s help to make the best friend’s senior year goal list a reality. It just comes with a price.
The consequences of Skylar’s actions are catching up to her and now she is caught between a rock and a hard demon. Will her choices justify the ends? I sure don’t know but I hope the next book will tell me!!!
This author, this series….UHHH-effing-mazing!!!! The author draws you and then teases you with crumbs of information that will make sense later when you realize you know. The characters’ emotions are as real as the pages on which they are written. Beautiful. I crave the next book but know that when I devour it, it will only leave me wanting more.

This was a very interesting take on the original version. But I always love to see over people perspective and view on what they think something should be or written. So having these pigs build some incredible houses and then outsmarting the wolf and having him run the windmill was an incredible part of the story. my children who are 4 and 6 found this book very fascinated and wanted me to keep reading till the end. The excitement and guessing what was going to happen on the next page really made them think because this does not follow the normal fairy tale, which was why it brought so much joy to the kids.
This was a quick read. I had a little trouble staying connected to the story. The story did flow well and the characters were good. The overall plot just didn’t hit with me. I would read others by the author because her writing style is well done.

Fantasy is my favorite type of genre, and this book didn’t disappoint. I couldn’t read this book fast enough to know what was going to happen next to Ruanon, Linh and the others. This time on a quest to find out if King Nartzeer was up to no good. The characters were once again well written into the book that it makes you feel like you have known them all your life. The setting and everything around it made you also feel like you were watching everything unfold right before your eyes. I can’t wait to see what is in story for this adventure next.

Editor Kill Fee by GG Collins is a fast-paced mystery masterpiece. This is the third book in The Taylor Browning Cozy Mystery series and can definitely be read as a standalone. I’ve never read the others and found it easy to keep pace. We primarily follow Taylor – an editor that enjoys solving mysteries on the side. The story seamlessly incorporates different point of views as well as some native American history and culture. The answer to the mystery will keep you on your toes. This book is certainly the definition of a cozy mystery; get a blanket and cup of tea then settle in for a fun ride!

A first time for me reading anything by Aubrey Wynne. It won’t be the last. A sweet Regency romance story, it will not disappoint. My favorite part has to be how well the Earl bonds with Maeve. Such a good story. I read this story in one sitting. It is a quick read and will have you wanting to find out how things turn out. I will be reading more from this author.

Nancy Sullivan does a fantastic job of building the backgrounds of each of the boys in this story. The story starts a bit slow but it is building the story and it gets so much better. It was interesting to read and definitely kept me engaged.

5 Stars Acting Counsel (Kings of Screen Book 3) by Morgana Bevan
Acting Counsel is the third book in the Kings of Screen Series and is a Contemporary Romance that I absolutely loved reading. This can be read as a standalone but I recommend reading this series in order as they are just as good as this one. This is a fast paced story that once you start reading there’s no putting it down until you’ve finished. Catrina and Nathan, she’s a lawyer whose new client turns out to be her one night stand. There’s rules you have to follow when you’re a lawyer and one is no sleeping with the clients. Catrina now is faced with keeping it professional. Nathan finds himself in a situation where he needs a new lawyer and once he realizes who she is he must keep his hands off. These two have great chemistry and he wants something real with her and she’s not sure she wants to open heart to a player. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I’m looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

The adventure continues Second book in the Ruarnon Trilogy and this takes off from where book one finished off. It is worth reading book one to get the foundation of the story. This flowed a lot better than book one but maybe it’s because the story is at its peak. There’s a lot of depth and imagery to the story with some parts I felt overdone but this didn’t detract from the overall story. With fantasy, myths, magic, action & drama there’s a lot to sink your teeth into and enjoy. Recommend.

STEM children’s story This is a scientific adaptation of the children’s story ‘The three little pigs’. It has great illustrations and was cleverly executed. This brings mini-lessons in science and engineering for little minds to ponder. Thoroughly enjoyable and would make a great addition to a home or school library.
I have neutral feelings towards this book. I feel like the storyline itself was pretty good, but the writing style was a little hard for me, a lot of it seemed forced, stiff and underwhelming. “Seen” by Lori Nelson is a dystopian science fiction. The story is full of mystery, family drama, with a sci-fi background. During the book, the viewpoint switches between Mouse and her older brother Meph. I wanted to love this book so badly, but I just couldn’t. One of my biggest issues being that I could not really picture the dystopian world or understand either of the characters mindsets. Personally, to me, it read as spoiled brats just wanting to do whatever they wanted. While I can understand them not wanting anything to do with their father due to his actions, it just didn’t describe that being their reasoning in any manner.
Mouse is wanting to become a journalist and is interning for a newspaper that is located in a not so safe part of the city. Within the first few pages the action immediately starts with a traumatic situation that Mouse and her brother experience. Then later on, Mouse witnesses something that will forever change her, and her viewpoint of her family. This will set the tone for the remainder of the book.
There is more going on than meets the eye, lots of background subplots happening. The characters themselves were well developed (with the exception of their thought process/mindset). Their personality types were very well shown, as well as their flaws and quirks. I think the storyline itself was excellent, and pretty unique.
There are some triggering topics such as, abuse, graphic violence, gore, murder, emotion abuse, betrayal, assault, manipulation, kidnapping and attempted rape.
While I personally didn’t love the book, I still think it is worth others reading and finding out for themselves if they enjoy the writing style. I will recommend this book to others based off the unique storyline.

I am always a sucker for a good mystery! This one did not disappoint at all. I loved all of the descriptions that G.G. Collins wrote. And I felt like I was really seeing everything first hand. While Editor Kill Fee is the third book in the Taylor Browning Cozy Mystery series, this book can be read as a stand alone, which is exactly what I did. I will forewarn you, I did add the first two books to my to be read list after finishing this one…. The president of the Santa Fe Wine Crime book club is MIA. Taylor tries to figure out what happened, but she gets herself into a sticky situation. This book makes me think of the Aurora Teagarden mystery movies, and as soon as I made the connection to the similarities, I devoured the book.

This was a fun, cozy mystery that I quite enjoyed and this is also a new author to me. Even though I believe the book may be read as a standalone (like I read as), I definitely will be circling back to the first two book as there are just a few key pieces in this story that may be linked to the previous books.
Taylor Browning is roped into a mystery when the president of their book club goes missing. When a section of road has the reputation of being the talk of other people whom go missing….is the president of the book club one of its victims? Taylor Browning searches with some help and will stop at nothing to solve this mystery.
This story had definitely a lot of intrigue, drama, suspense and some mystery hot hot hot chili’s …overall such a fun read and the story flowed. I love Cheddar and Oscar as well!! I am looking forward to reading more from this author.

This thrilling sci-fi masterpiece finds siblings Mouse and Meph living their lives in a dystopian world. Mouse hopes to land a full time position as a journalist yet her father has different aspirations in mind.
Mouse uses her pda to fly her personal drone, which interestingly enough is shaped like a gorgeous raven named Gossip. She uses it to snoop around the city and find a nice juicy headline for her big break.
In addition to her concerns about landing a big story to help obtain a full time journalist position, she’s also hoping that her brother will stick around a bit longer vs obtaining a job further away from home.
The siblings begin to encounter things that only bring more drama in this story. The author did a fantastic job writing a believable sibling duo that love each other but may not always see eye to eye. Also the interesting love interest that happens to be her brother’s best friend just fuels the family dramatics.
I really enjoyed this book from start to finish. It creates a drastically challenging dystopian world that compliments the sci-fi twists.

Julia would never have believed she would figure out her gifts and how to use them, let alone convince others that she could see the dead and hear them in her head. The counsel meeting is where she must prove to them that the gifts are real. She is not confident if she will be able to or not even with the additional training of Samuel’s old friends. Everyone is facing challenges and now humans are in the mix as well. Valentino is on the warpath with the humans in the middle. This is an explosive book with room for possibly a 6th book. Fingers crossed as I really loved these characters.

This book was from the point of view of Lane. We learn so much about him in this story. I loved how we heard conversations between him and Julia and the rest of the group as well as others. Lane is troubled due to living alone for far too long. He looks at Samuel’s group with bewilderment. He is helping them but will he ever be able to trust them. He and Kali have many conversations that are poignant to the outcome of the story. I was surprised by the change of perspective in this story, although I did enjoy it. Onto book 5. Can’t wait.

This book had me crying, and I mean crying with tears streaming down my face. The emotional pain that is being suffered is overwhelming. If you have read this book and did not cry.. Well?? Julia has spent years in basic solitude. Samuel with years at the bottom of a bottle and Matthew well he found his own way of coping.

Oh my gosh this 2nd book took over my life. I could not stop reading. I am loving this series.
In this second book, betrayal is at the heart of the book. You don’t even see it coming. I was aghast and was yelling “ What The Heck”. As the group continues to eliminate their enemies, they find they have their backs against a wall. People start to crack under all the stress whether emotional or physical. This book ends with a bang.
If you have not read this series. It is a must read. I am already through the beginning of book 3.

Reading the Aliens on Earth Collection man there were some really amazing,quick reads in here. Okie I’m not gonna lie, all of them were great reads. I don’t even think I could pick a favorite one, but if I had to pick it’d be Sasha’s Bounties by DEYSI O’DONAL. In this collection the stories were ranked by their heat(the amount of spiciness 🥵) which was super awesome just in case you were in the mood for something more you could go to that section to find a story to read. All in all it took me a couple of days to get through the whole collection. You don’t have to. You can pick and choose whichever one you want but I highly recommend reading them all lmao 😂 🥰🥰. There are alot of different adventures to embark on throughout this collection. Some of the stories do continue separately and I’ll will definitely be going to the Authors pages to find and read them 😂😊

I loved how this started and was curious to see where it would go. A lot about Rose and Titan was kept a secret and it leaked out a little at a time throughout the story. That definitely kept me turning pages and always wondering and they do have a twisted bond.
Rose is a good character. She has tenacity, grit and secrets. She doesn’t seem to have a lot of growth. She keeps doing a lot of the same actions throughout the story. Titan is also full of secrets and family obligations. He has his moments of clarity and I enjoy watching him trying to figure out Rose.
I felt there are a few loose ends that maybe could have been turned Into other stories Instead of just dropped. Towards the end a lot of things happen at a quick pace. Again I am not sure the necessity of a few of those options.
The secondary characters do invoke some interest(I liked their names and powers) but they are left behind like yesterdays laundry as the story moves forward.
Overall this is an good story that draws the reader in. I like the idea of the story but not a huge fan of the execution near the end. This is not my first book by this author nor will it be my last. I do like her characters and story ideas.

This is a very emotional story full of suspense. I became very invested in the story and the characters. This was definitely out of my comfort zone but it was a good read. I will definitely be reading more from Nancy Nau Sullivan. I recommend this book to anyone interested in an emotion packed story.

I really enjoyed this book. It kept me up late into the night and most of the day afterward. I couldn’t put it down. The introduction of Julianna into the world of the Vampire Resistance was a tormenting journey. Julianna (Julia), is a 15 year old girl whose first love is Adam. Her mothers servants son with whom she has been friends with since a young child. When her brother and father scheme to marry her off to a wealthy man, she is devastated. The marriage is not a love match. Gregory is mean and heavy handed. I found myself crying as the author pulled out the emotions from me. Looking forward to starting book two.

I really enjoyed this book. I haven’t read the first two and I believe you can read this without reading the authors and easily catch up with any character. The story was face paced and very entertaining. I enjoyed our main character Taylor, she was nosey, but honestly if someone you knew went missing, you’d be nosey too. But she wasn’t actively trying to solve the case as if she could do better than police. I would have liked to see more of her interacting with the bad guys or dive into more of what was going on instead of the random backgrounds into other characters. I loved the cats, it was something new having them actually be characters in the book. I recommend to all cozy mystery lovers.

I love anthologies! They are a nice way to get a snippit of how an author writes. This is no different. And this has all different variations of romance! With a nice healthy heaping of aliens. If you want to try this genre out this would be a wonderful way to do it! Review by @michellerenee6590
