This is a GREAT take on the story of the big bad wolf and the three pigs. The pigs are great problem solvers and come up with a solution to the problem of the wolf trying to blow their houses down. It’s a good thing for the wolf – and so everyone wins in the end! Shows that if you think through the problem, there might be a better solution!
This book can be read as a stand alone- even though it is part 3 of a series. GG Collins does a great job with describing the setting – you can vividly picture New Mexico where it takes place. This is a great little mystery that made me laugh in quite a few places! I liked the main character and I liked her cats! I wasn’t sure I’d enjoy this book due to the cover – it didn’t intrigue me, but I’m glad I took the chance.

I thought the cover was adorable, and was pleasantly surprised I liked the story, because I rarely choose a book by its cover. One of the things I appreciated the most was the Santa Fe/New Mexico feel, I “travel” through books because I can’t afford actual, and GG Collins doesn’t disappoint with her description of the buildings, food, and overall culture of the Southwest.
I thought the book was a little predictable, but given the genre of cozy mystery, in my opinion, that is expected, and the dialogue and characters make it a worthwhile read. I look forward to reading the first two books in the series, although this one read very nicely as a stand alone novel.

A very cute take on The 3 Little Pigs, but in this story all the house stand against the wolf. The pigs aren’t scared, and they work together to come up with a solution to keep the wolf from trying to eat them, so they could all be happy. I like that each pig had a name, and had the knowledge to be successful in the building of each of their own houses.
Earl of Griffith is a very fun and easy read especially when you want to get away from the reality of life. The story flows easily from beginning to end. The character development is very well done. I especially love how Mauve highlights parts of the story with her sparkling personality.

Slow-burn to healing This is the third and last book in the Wounded Hearts series and it was a real treat. This author knows how to tie everything together in a nice emotional bow. Angelo is the son of Nicco and Destiny (book 1) and Lucia is the daughter of Enzo and Candi (book 2). These two are best friends from the start and it was wonderful to watch their relationship grow throughout the book as they face the highs and lows. Love this whole series. Highly recommend.

The Crown of Stones series in itself was tremendous and I highly advise reading those first before this novella, though it can be a stand-alone if you wish. This novella continues to provide the world building, character loving, fantasy mapping, thrilling adventures that C. L. Schneider keeps you coming back for! Her attention to detail and ability to enthrall the readers is what is making this series and novella such an epic hit.

This book in the series did not disappoint. It was amazingly well written, had great characters and world building, even had the steam that I crave, all while being a little angsty. All of those traits lead to a very fast paced, quick read for me. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough to see what was going to happen. What would you do if you BFF decided she wanted your crush? That is what happens with this story. The twists and turn, the lies being told, the wanting of someone you know you shouldn’t. It is all in this book. I can’t stress enough how amazing this series is and I feel like with every book that comes out in the series it is just a bit better than the last. Now, I normally state whether you would just pick this book up and start the series. However, this time I am going to say that you should start with the first book in this series because you do meet the characters for the future books throughout the stories, you don’t know how they will play a part in the upcoming books but you get a glimpse of who they are. I also might be biased because I absolutely love this series and think that everyone needs to read it!! If you do find yourself starting with this book in the series (which if we face it sometimes happens). You will be able to follow along smoothly, you just won’t have some background information on the characters. However, you will want to go back and read the other books in the series because you will be hooked. Walk Off is the first book in the Ground Rule Series by Bree Kraemer. Gah!! I love Bree Kraemer’s stories so much!! She always manages to pack so much heart, soul, and emotion into her book-s and her characters are just sublime. This second chance contemporary romance pulled me in right from the beginning and had me completely invested in the characters and their story. I couldn’t put it down and devoured it all in one sitting. A wedding is the last place Kyle expected to see Celia. Even after eight years, everything comes rushing back. What happens when secrets are revealed? With plenty of sizzle, secrets, lies, heartache, pain, unresolved emotions, drama, angst, chemistry, forgiveness, and hope- Kyle and Celia’s story had me burning the midnight oil so I wouldn’t go to sleep without knowing how things played out in the end. Someone to Watch Over Me is the third book in the Wounded Hearts series by Debbie Cromack. I have to be honest here, this book was a bit of a bitter-sweet read for me knowing that this was the last book in the series, but also needing more of Ms. Cromack’s slow-burn, angsty, and emotional deliciousness that I have become addicted to. Before diving into this story, I highly suggest reading the previous two books before starting on this one, as not only are they fantastic books in their own right, but I discovered that there is a lovely connection between the first two books and this third instalment. As expected, this is such a wonderfully angsty and emotional read that tugged on my heartstrings in a major way. Ms. Cromack simmers her plot so beautifully, cooking up a slow burning, but sexy read. She doesn’t shy away from some tougher topics, which adds to the emotional punch of her story. Angelo and Lucia have been the best of friends since childhood so there is already love and connection between them, but they’d never crossed the ‘friendship’ line. But fate might just have a different plan in mind- throwing these two out of their comfort zone. What happens made for an entirely memorable read. Finding out that Angelo is Nicco and Destiny’s son (from Someone Exactly Like Me- Book #1) and Lucia is Candi and Enzo’s daughter (from Kiss Away Your Pain Book #2) was like getting extra icing on the cake for me. I was so excited to see that Ms. Cromack has a new series in the works- and I am itching to get my hands on her Broken Billionaire series! Bring on Book One- I can’t wait!!! Happy Reading!

People Safari was an adorable book, for all ages. It is geared toward little kids, but I think older would enjoy as well. The characters are cute (I love that they used a deer family with names Doe, Buck and Fawn) and the pictures are colorful and fun. This story is told in the perspective of animals, visiting and describing the human world. There is a lot of cute descriptions, that I would never have thought of. For example, how they think kids getting on a school bus is a monster eating the littlest of humans. It reminded me of movies like Over the Hedge and Open Season- where it is focused on a reverse perspective. Makes you re-think and giggle about the silly things us humans do. My 7 year old was laughing a couple times, saying it was the ANIMALS who were silly for not understanding. He loved it, thanks for a fun book!

Twisted Bond was alright. I would give it a 3.5 out of 5. I really liked the concept that brought the story to life. I felt there could’ve been more substance to the story though. Time jumped quite a bit. Not like drastic time jumps, but ones where there could’ve been substance that would’ve added to the story itself. Bond by fate, enemies by greed. The greed being of power vs money. Prince Titan and Rose are worlds apart yet together as one. His kingdom thrives off the drained power of her people. Which should make her hate him. But she doesn’t. She’s pulled to the prince in ways she can’t explain. Will it get in the way of her completing her task? Will she find the moonstone and free her people? All the answers are within the pages. Be patient with the author though. Where I saw things as frustrating while reading you may enjoy. The story concept is definitely good, I personally just wanted more out of it.

“Accidents”. While this is not the first book, I have read by the amazing C.A. King it is the first book of this kind, previously read Grave Digger Academy books one and two. The mystery that seeps off the pages fills you up until you can’t take it, reading as quickly as you can to discover the next twist and how it will all end. Told mostly from the perspectives of Truly and Jeff the mystery that is fortune telling is a dangerous one to follow, especially in Knollville. Truly is currently twenty-four years old and working three jobs to afford the psychiatrist that is trying to help her recover her memories from age nine. Jeff also twenty-four years old is a detective in Knollville, and according to his partner Miranda they get all the weird calls because of his crazy ideas. Only one day the crazy call ends up triggering a memory, which gets stranger when it happens a second time in as many days. Two men on their phones walk into oncoming traffic and killed, both after getting a “fortune” that told of their demise. Jeff thinking back to when he was nine years old remembers an identical “accident” of the class bully Priscilla. Her favorite target was Truly. Knowing she is involved he gets his partner on his side and the captain agrees to get them a meeting with the detective from fifteen years ago that covered Priscillas case and the case of Truly’s mother and her boyfriends’ death. All three separate events but all three tied to Truly when she was only nine years old. Docter Stevenson (her psychiatrist) and Doctor Sven (hypnosis specialist) begin a hypnosis study on Truly for a book. The memories they are trying to uncover are from the time frame of the accidents when she was a little girl. Damionion, a magician that Truly states meeting when she was nine told her that he would handle all her troubles all she had to do was read their fortune. Several years later and she is hearing and seeing him again. Is Truly really handing out her enemies’ demises or is she another victim of Damionion? Can Jeff solve the “murders” with his job intact? Who is Damionion and is he a real person? One of my favorite things about this author is their attention to detail even down to the more unappealing things such as the yellow sweat stains on Bernard’s shirt. She makes sure you get an entire picture, one that you can nearly smell sometimes. I can’t wait to the next book in the series, Serendipity’s Debt and see where Jeff’s career goes next when his gut tells him something is wrong in Knollville.

Obedience: A Dark Student Teacher Romantic Suspense (Ties That Bind Book 1)
Chandler and Cassandra have a very interesting and complicated relationship. They are teacher/student and both aerialists. But there is intense attraction and a little bit of self loathing and a lot of hot and cold feelings from Chandler. That frustrated me some especially since neither one of them is a young adult in their late teens or early twenties.
I found myself getting very caught up in the second shibari scene and also never thought about how erotic aerial artistry could be until now.
Cassandra has an amazing friend in Alex, everyone needs an Alex in their life. She also finds Henry and Dana along the way.
Chandler is a mess, he has too many demons he is dealing with and gets stuck in his head way too often, though I understand how easy that can be at times.
As frustrated as I would get at times I did enjoy the book and definitely found myself getting lost in the pages. The description of the ropes work was enthralling and I definitely want more.
Looking forward to reading the next book by Ms. Snow and hopefully get a happy ending.

Toby Dorr has written such a raw, real, emotional, and inspirational piece of art. She has admitted and shown that in life, decisions and choices that we make, have consequences. Yet because of one bad choice, there can come good. She tells a story most heard, but never from the inside. This is an incredible story that was a page turner and attention grabber from the beginning. Self growth and healing are possible.

I was intrigued by the cover and description of this audiobook and decided to dive in… and my goodness …. this story was raw and emotional….and I was rooting for Talks Like Thunder all the way. This is the first book in the series and I will definitely be checking out the rest of the books and I am intrigued where the story goes from here.
Talks Like Thunder loses her parents at an early age and she is taken by her grandfather so he may protect her. She learns quickly how to be a warrior… but constantly thrown in different paths but tries to find a way to fight and protect her people.
This story was so good, drama and heartbreaking moments… but I love Talks Like Thunder and her focus and determination to help her people when they need her most.

And here I thought I’d never hear the inner thoughts of Ian Troy again! This Novella was a perfect addition to the series… there is enough detail where it could stand alone without the series but I do feel I had a better understanding of the characters having read the other books. Peace has been achieved. Ian and his magic are no longer needed….or is it? Ian and Jarryd head to the wandering isles thinking they’d be deserted but come to find that is definitely not the case and what they will have to endure is so much more than they knew. Another well crafted tale by this author who continues to impress.

This was a great 5 star read. I really like this genre and wasn’t disappointed. I enjoyed these characters and their story. Travis wants to be famous for his music, while at a concert he meets a woman (Ella) who will change his life. Ella’s brother is a famous musician and writes her own music as well. When Travis is invited to tour with Ella and her brother things change for Travis. I was pulled right in from the author’s writing. My emotions were all over the place. You get so much in this story, I was done before I knew it. I do suggest reading from book 1, but you can read as a stand alone. Fireflies by A.R Hadley is a Steamy and Engrossing M/M/F Poly Romance. This book is very much an insight into a lifestyle that many do not see on a regular basis. This unconventional coupling has all the grit, drama, and sexiness. Dane and Mike are two Bi Men that have been in an open relationship for 7 years. They had previously had a Woman in their relationship but she left and broke their hearts. After that they had not really had a woman in the mix. But Dane wants to get that back as they want to start a family with someone, they are serious with. This story is all about them learning more about each other while trying to find someone. Little did they know that two women would enter their lives and change it forever. This book definitely has some darker elements and is pretty spicy. 4 out of 5 Stars.

This author is new to me and when I read the snyposis and saw the beautiful cover, I decided to dive into this MMF Poly story. Overall I enjoyed this spicy story with definite ups and downs between Mike and Dane as they navigate bringing in a woman to their relationship, both wanting “more” as in family and a true relationship beyond. The overall of two women though….would be interesting. As Mike and Dane figure out what is best for their future, will they make the right decision between Vanessa or Vy or even both?
This story is a bit of a roller coaster of emotions between all characters, spicy scenes, love and definite fireflies. Enjoyable story, but I was not a fan of Vy’s character at all…..the back and forth really got to me and her indecisiveness.
Talks Like Thunder is the first Novella in the Red With Native Blood series. This is a wonderfully written story of Dessert Flower and her journey to become Talks like Thunder. The first word that comes to mind is Beautiful, even though there is a lot of sadness in this story that will bring tears to your eyes in many parts, it is sadly the realistic truth of the of what happened to the native people. Being native myself I felt this book was written so well and truthful in so many ways, with great detail to the ways of the people, and all things that are important to us. I highly recommend this book. I can’t wait for the next. The narrator Aubriana Harshfield did an amazing job.

This book jumps right into action and keeps going throughout the entirety of it. I wasn’t sure what to expect in this story because this is a new author to me. I’m glad I decided to take a chance because it was an intriguing read that pulled me in. The author was very detail oriented and it made me feel invested in the outcome. This story is full of suspense, action, murder, kidnapping, revenge, great characters and so much more. This was an enjoyable read and I recommend it. I will definitely be reading more books by this author.

This is a great continuation of the first book. The main characters go on an adventure to rescue their parents. The characters are well written and you can feel all of the emotions they are experiencing. There are magical things happening and each character has a pert to play in this adventure. 5/5 Stars This was my first book by this author and in this series. I was not disappointed. Although I read it as a stand-alone, I will go back and read the first two just to get more of the series. It’s very well-written and captivating. I’m beginning to enjoy historical fiction and this book just proves that I must dive more into this genre. It’s very entertaining and has tons of action. Although it’s set in the time period it’s set in, it’s still relatable with how real the characters are and their personalities.

What an interesting read!!! I am pretty sure I either watched the Lifetime movie “Jailbreak Lovers” or saw a featured story on Dateline as this did sound familiar to me.
In this memoir, Toby Dorr tells of her life as the “Dog Lady”…her volunteer program at the Lansing Correctional Center running an inmate dog training program. She meets many inmates but one really captured her attention. His name is John Manard and he escaped prison with Toby’s help. They spent 12 days out on the run before they were found and arrested. Toby became an overnight celebrity and had to learn to deal with the media through her various court appearances. She did a couple of years in prison for her antics and in this book, she tells about her time on the inside.
It was very enlightening to read about life on the inside of prison and even more so, how difficult it is to live outside of prison after being there awhile. Toby went through some very challenging times while incarcerated and lost of lot of family along the way for her decisions. This book is very difficult to read in terms of things that were experienced, both by Toby and by people she met along the way. It is also inspiring to see how she turned things around in some of the deepest, darkest moments of her life.

An action packed from the start, new to me series. Also, the author is new to me too. This series is a young adult fantasy with some time travels included. The author did a wonderful job with world building and the characters are good too. There is a lot happening within the book so anyone reading would have to pay close attention – especially as you learn about what Ruarnon is going through as they grow into their new position as heir after their parents are attacked. Overall, I enjoyed reading this book and soon after decided to read the 2nd book in the series.
