Ailey of Skye By: Wendy Hewlett 4 out of 5 stars. This emotional story betrays the struggles of an addict on the road to recovery. This is done while being in a strange country while dealing with the loss of her grandmother. The story is well developed and very unique. I was surprised that the story didn’t go the way that I thought it would. This is an easy to read story that really holds the reader’s attention.

This third book in the Colorado Chapter by Manda Mellett is just as exciting as the first! My interest is captured on the first few pages and I found that I couldn’t put it down. There are so many events that happen in this story that you won’t want to stop reading until you reach the end. The emotions in this book are so raw for the male character that I couldn’t help but to tear up. So, grab a cozy blanket, a cup of coffee, and dive in!

Friend: A College Romance is the third book in What Happens on Campus series written by Ms. Sparrow. When Terri is traumatized, it is up to Jet to try to pick up the pieces and help her to feel like her old self. Can Jet help her get her confidence back? The writing is well done and the characters are unique. Ms. Sparrow’s a wonderful storyteller. I did find that some of the pages were a little wordy, leading away from the actual story. I enjoyed the story just the same and would highly recommend reading this book, as well as the previous ones in the series!

Pal and Moira have an interesting life and I am not sure I care for Moira. Time will tell. I am obsessed with this series and can’t wait to continue the story of the Colorado Chapter! Resisting the Rancher (The Hills of Texas Book 2) By: Kadie Scott 5 out of 5 Stars
This story caught me at the first page. There is a chemistry that causes sparks between Will and Rusty that let me see their relationship like a vision. I am not a huge western setting reader, get enough of that on old tv, but Ms. Scott used her incredible talent to give this one FIRE! This book took me away from the reality of my life today and I had a terrible time trying to make myself put it down! Her writing style is brilliant and easy to read. I am not usually an avid reader of historical fiction, but this book kept me on the edge of my seat. My heart broke for Tobias and the life he was forced to live. Collision (Shattered Hearts Book 3) By Nicole Banks 5 out of 5
This is the final book in the series that tells us more of Chase and Kris’s story. After having her strength and her heart broken, years later Chase is back and there are many unanswered questions. This book does not disappoint after waiting for so long to hear this tale. The really sad thing is that about halfway through reading I became saddened that it was the end. This is a series that I just couldn’t put down. The drama and suspense kept me on the edge of my seat and always wanting more. The writing style is amazing and Nicole Banks has truly grown as a storyteller, maturing from book 1 until this conclusion. I highly recommend that you get this book and the others in the series. They don’t disappoint.

This story tells of racing, romance, and some of the hazards that are faced by those who live that life. The story unfolds as someone is stalking the couple and Liz suddenly disappears. This page turner leaves the reader needing to know what happens next. This thriller should be on everyone’s must read list. Zoe Burton has driven us into the unpredictable world of racing and the reader will not be disappointed. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is a suspense or romance reader..or both. Five stars does not do justice to this book! I was on the edge of my seat from the very first page! Miss O’Flynn shows great detail and emotion as she spun a tale of fear and survival. The characters strive to survive while figuring out why they are together in the first place. The mixture of camaraderie and mistrust left me second guessing who to trust. Page after page, the mystery builds. I highly recommend this book. Anyone who enjoys a mystery with a creepy feel should grab a copy of this book. Meghan O’Flynn is a masterful storyteller.

This is a unique twist on historical story-telling and is a superb telling of actual fact. I absolutely love this book! I had ever heard of the Orphan Trains and was lost in this emotional tale. The ways that Miss Burton entwined fact with a little fictional was magical. This is a cleanly written story that I would be comfortable being read by younger readers as the language isn’t foul. This book is great for readers who have to be grabbed by a story right off. This one is a page-turner from page one! I cannot wait to read the next one! Review by Rhonda Pulk.

Nicole Banks has once again entranced me into the lives of Jasmine and Angel as they struggle not to fall apart as they stumble through hell. This second book told me more about each character and the ways that they impact the story as a whole. I was treated to a more personal side of the lives and love shared between Jasmine and Angel. This book took me on a ride from one end of the emotional roller coaster to the other while keeping me on the edge of my seat. I highly recommend this book! September Breeze (Cinnamon Bay #2) By Nikki Lynne Barrett 5 out of 5 stars
This is an amazing, heart-tugging story that really draws the reader into the character’s lives. Between her past and his broken heart, the reader is left turning pages as fast as they can to get more of the story. Miss Barrett has created a world of small town life with vivid, delightful people who make the reader want to visit Cinnamon Bay. The struggles that are faced by Brian and his family, as well as Tess, are realistic and heartbreaking. I fell in love with the characters in this book and am left wanting to know more and more about the characters and the worlds that Miss Barrett has and will create in the future. Never give up! When all else fails and you have nothing left to lose, go for it! Ms. Banks’ writing left me entranced ad raw with emotion. From the very first chapter, I was drawn into the nightmare that is Jasmine’s life. The fears and dread to the love and lust between Angel and Jasmine pulled me deeper into the story. I just had to know what happened next. This is a real page turner that left me hanging. I am excited to get into the next two books of the series. Nicole Banks is a real writer. Once again C.A. King does NOT disappoint! I couldn’t put it down, especially near the end. In this story, the world is a dangerous place. This is especially true if you are born different or with abilities that normal humans do not trust or understand. When Tails meets Brodie, their adventure is not all what they first thought it to be. Alliances are made; trust is shattered. Everything that Tails has been working for has been a lie. After explaining the situation to Brodie and convincing him that her quest is impossible without him, the two embark on a journey that could lead them to death, freedom, or maybe even love. This story is even harder to put down then the previous two. I was pulled into the shifters adventure from the moment they out their mission plan into motion. After making the heartbreaking decision to leave her precious Dougie behind, Lorelei joins her friends in their most dangerous quest yet, trying to save the future of their kind. Again, Ms. Biglow and Ms. Zenk have used description that makes the reader see the story unfold. The emotions felt by Lorelei, Aiden, Xander, and the rest of the shifters are intense and are real enough to jump off of the page. Each page brings excitement and leaves the reader waiting impatiently to see what happens next. Help yourself to the conclusion of this exciting series by reading Eternity today! Cynthia Hamilton is a vibrant and descriptive writer. This story is fast paced and entertaining. Personally I was confused by the book blurb which explained it was a journey by a daughter to reveal her mother’s past. I would not have known this was the case by just reading the book. I would have liked to have seen the epilogue as the prologue and then lead into the story of Ruth’s life. Miss Hamilton tells the story of her mother’s adventure to find herself the perfect life and the series of attempted and failed relationships along the way. Cynthia relays the relationships that her mother had with her and her siblings as well as the changes to it through the years. Aside from my initial confusion, I found this to be a wonderful account of Cynthia’s journey to know her mother.

These two authors are incredibly talented and creative in their storytelling. The colorful descriptions of the characters and their unique and individual design draw the reader into their world. From a stubborn, dying phoenix to a brilliant warrior siren, the characters in this book lead us into an adventure of struggle and survival in a world that wants to ruin their existence. Aidan and Lorelei gather and become part of an alliance with an odd group of rebel shifters and form a plan to escape from their world, to sanctuary where they can be free to live as they please. The story flows from one incident to another smoothly and draw the reader into the situation. The ending is brutal and definitely leaves the reader screaming for more. I need to know what happens next. Get your copy today and do yourself a favor, grab the next one too! You will not want to be left hanging!

Although this is not my usual genre, I loved it! The story of Amelia and Toby is both mysterious and enchanting. It took awhile to really make some of the pieces of the story make sense. I remained slightly confused until about two-thirds of the way through, I still couldn’t put it down! Ms. Burton’s vivid storytelling helped to hook me into the story and later to help clear up my confusion by tying the story together in the end. Amelia’s inner turmoil of what happens to her and her struggle with the difference in their ages are only a small portion of he twists that pulled me as a reader into the story. This YA Romance is an interesting tale full of twists and turns, beginning with the appearance of the mysterious men in black suits. Emerald O’Brien takes a look into the lives of three small town residents as they dig into a mysterious death of a local housewife. The past shows its ugly head as unusual clues and coincidences tie them to a second mystery. As the investigation continues, they find that their own childhood nightmare is somehow linked to the crime. Grace has overcome many obstacles from her childhood to get to where she is today. She is a police detective who is all about the job. So when one fatal mistake finds her struggling to stay on the job, she finds herself starting over in Tall Pines. Madigan is a reporter for the local newspaper. She finds herself in a daily struggle to get that elusive front page story. Thane, her nemesis, is the editor go-to reporter and he always seems to be just one step ahead of Madigan. John is a troubled soul who finds his whole world turned upside down when his wife is found murdered in the living room of his home. His past and some mistakes have made him the prime suspect in a crime he couldn’t have committed, or could he? The author uses easy to read storytelling and unique characters to draw and keep our attention. Her descriptions help to make the characters real and you can almost feel the emotions that they are experiencing. The story unfolds at a quick pace, making this page turner hard to put down. I am excited to read the second book! I highly recommend this book!
