This is the 10th book in Master Of The Consulate Series. This is a stand-alone book, but I would suggest starting from the start. I read this book with no issues of not reading the others but would have gotten more in-depth with the characters from the previous books. There are vampires, humans, witches, and shifters. This is a dark vampire mafia romance with some steam. Need I say anymore?? There is loyalty, and there is a difficult time of trying to see if there is betrayal. Oh, and the romance… it’s there also. I will go back and start from the beginning of the series and can’t wait to finish them all so I can dive deep into this world that the author has created for us.
