While this book initially followed the classic bad boy and good girl romance, Tarrah Anders surprisingly put her own spin on the genre through the character of Emily. Seeing the relationship between Grant and Emily develop and change their own perspectives was great to read.

She's No CowgirlShe’s No Cowgirl by Brooke May

Brooke May’s book was a great contemporary romance which was an easy, quick read. The dual perspectives from both love interest, Kennedy and Hunter were amazing in developing the characters, from their feeling for each other to their love of football. While this book was football orientated due to Hunter playing football in college and Kennedy being a sports reporter, this book could be enjoyed by everyone.
I loved that Brooke May did not shy away from serious topics such as career pressure and Kennedy experiencing sexism in her work and due to her love of sports.
Additionally, Brooke May highlights an important message throughout the book about following your dreams and never giving up despite all obstacles.
