I was eagerly looking forward to this story. I enjoyed this one after a while. It started good but then it seemed to stall, be slow and honestly I skimmed a bit during that time. Just past half way things really picked up and became extremely interesting.
I love this series and the characters that have come out of it. In this one we meet Brant and his lovely children. There is more than one reason to love these. Brant is an honest guy who inspires devotion. His kids are a treat…unless your name is Sebastian. Ha ha! Aubrey is a girl looking for her future which doesn’t include Brant. She is focused and it’s easy to admire her. Their chemistry when together, is off the charts!
Overall this is a good addition to the series. It is not necessary to read the previous books but it will heighten your enjoyment of this one (especially book 1). As stated above I did enjoy the last 40ish percent.

I really enjoyed Book 1 and was very excited to get started on Book 2 and continue with the story. I feel like you could read this book as a standalone if you wanted to, but it’s so much better to be read in order of the series. I was hooked on reading this from the start. So much action and suspense, that kept me quickly turning the pages eager for more. I loved the attention to detail making me feel like a fly on the wall watching everything happen. I loved every second of reading this book and can’t wait for the next book!

Can I just say WOW?!!! This story is part of The Caught Series, Book 4. A standalone as well, but I recommend you follow the series. The Author did not disappoint. Her books continue to blow my mind. This book had me hooked from the start. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this one after reading No Way Out, the first book in this series. You don’t have to have read the first book to enjoy this one but it is my suggestion that you do because it’s a great story. I have read other books by this author and I enjoy the writing style. Sophia and Enzo have been part of each other’s lives since they were children and have loved each other for just as long but Enzo is contracted to marry another and Sophia has secrets that could have deadly consequences. This is a must read if you want to find out what happens between these two and if the secrets get revealed. This book is filled with danger, suspense, romance, great characters and so much more. I was thoroughly entertained, and I think you will enjoy it as well.

First things first, I highly suggest reading the first book of this series, as there are some things mentioned in the second book from the first book. Now that, is out of the way holy cow!!!! She did it again. This author never ceases to amaze me with her writing skills. Not only do we get another awesome badass female lead, she is also has human flaws which makes her relatable. This book follows Sophia in the following events of the first book. There is just so much of this book that I absolutely loved. The storytelling, the writing itself, the characters, everything was amazing and I couldn’t finish it fast enough! I can’t wait see what’s next by this amazing author!
What’s not to like? There’s unpredictability, suspense, action, chemistry, and intrigue. This author has the magic touch in weaving an engaging story. When the heart and body are at odds-true love will always prevail. Enzo, the ever-present protector- torn between being with the love of his life and family honour. Feisty, talented, and resilient Sofia is conflicted between following her heart and being a loyal friend. Toss a tenacious, vile, obsessive antagonist in the mix, and you’ve got a masterpiece. The 2nd book in the series exceeded my expectations. I’m excited to see what this author writes next!
I was not expecting to fall in love with this book and it’s characters! Brant is such a strong loving man with a soft heart. Aubrey is a strong independent woman who doesn’t realize how much her and Brant really need each other! The plot made me not want to put this book down. I wanted to know where the story was going and if Aubrey would see what a great man Brant is. The needing to know who the stalker was kept me guessing and wanting more. This is one of those books you want to finish but don’t really want the story to end. I will definitely be going back and reading the first 3!

This is book two in this great series and I have read a few books written by this author and she hasn’t disappointed me yet. The characters are strong they have to be in their world. I love the little quirks and the way they play off each other makes them somewhat real. This book had it all action, tension, betrayal, romance.
We continue with Enzo the heir to the mafia thorn and Sofia an up in coming designer Enzo tries to stay away from Sofia because he knows she would be in danger if his enemies find out she is the love of his life. But blood oath that bind them makes it hard for him to stay away. Sofia fell in love with her best friend and she will do anything for him. What happens when Enzo’s enemies find out the truth? Can Enzo keep Sofia safe after his enemies’ demand blood? Will these two have a chance at happily ever?
This is the second book in this series that I have read and personally, it was even better than the first one. If you are a fan of suspense, intrigue, and romance then you need to read this. I will say that to really understand the plotline and characters you need to read these books in order. They are not stand-alone books. But that’s just my opinion. I was hanging on the edge of my seat reading this book. Honestly, I’ve bitten most of my fingernails off while reading it because I was so engrossed in their story. I love this author’s writing as she has a way of giving small clues without you realizing it. In fact, there were some clues in the 1st book that were foreshadowing of this book and at the time I didn’t realize it but now it all makes sense. I am wondering how many of those are for the 3rd installment. I highly recommend this book to fans of “The Godfather” because this is just as good.
Mystery and suspense This story was an unexpected surprise. I haven’t read any of the other books in the series but it was easy to connect the dots with the other characters. I really enjoyed Brant and Aubrey’s characters and the romance was a slow burn sizzle. There was more mystery than drama which was a nice change. The writing and pacing was very good and I highly recommend for suspense romance lovers.

Woah, I had no idea what I was getting into with this novel as it was the first time I have experienced anything by this author but I was so happy I scooped this read up! This book was completely a surprise full of mystery and intrigue as I followed along on this detailed and suspenseful journey Brant Bellamy embarked on and found the beautiful and spunky Sharleen Scott on as well. These two lit up my kindle and I quickly became completely consumed by their story, rooting for them to find the happily ever after they so deserved. I loved this and look forward to going back and seeing what the rest of the series holds and what the future of the series might have in store.

Brant Bellamy in the race for his life. It seems that someone has the intention of either scaring him or killing him. After several suspicious accidents on the Bellamy ranch, and when Brant’s mother passes away under suspicious circumstances, he is determined to find out what is going on. His mom’s last words to him were find him and make it right. Brant does not understand what those words mean or who his mother meant but he is determined to find out. To protect his children from coming into harm’s way he sends them to their mom in Chicago and heads to the Oregon Coast with the purpose and intention of finding a man who worked on the Bellamy ranch 40 years ago.
However, fate has other plans when Brant meets the beautiful and exciting Aubrey Chartrand, who is a bartender at a local bar In Angel Beach where Brant stops to have a bite to eat. The unplanned meeting between the two of them causes both to rethink their decisions and future. Brant has only come in search of the mysterious stranger that worked at the Bellamy ranch years ago and Aubrey is planning on riding her Harley off into the proverbial sunset. She has no intention of getting tied down not after spending years looking after her elderly aunt. Their plans are quickly sidelined when Aubrey becomes targeted by a stalker. This book was incredibly difficult to put down and I ended up reading it from cover to cover. I became completely immersed in the lives of the characters and needed to know who this mysterious stranger was and what he wanted. I love the fact that even though it was centered around a romance between the two characters, Brant, and Aubrey, it was also full of action and suspense. I was completely drawn into the mystery surrounding not only the mysterious stalker who is after both Brant and Aubrey but what Brant’s mom’s last words meant. Who was this drifter that showed up on their ranch 40 years ago? Where did he come from? Why was it so important for Brant to find him?
I loved the character of Brant (I mean who doesn’t like a sexy cowboy) but more importantly I love the fact that he wasn’t a bad boy but instead someone with a big heart who cared about those that he loved and would do anything to protect them. I loved that Brant was a single father and that his focus was on keeping his children safe and being the best father that he could be to them. I also really enjoyed the fact that both main characters were older. I love that Aubrey was down to earth, independent, and fiercely loyal to those that she loved. The chemistry between Brant and Aubrey was undeniable even though they both tried to ignore it as best as they could. It just goes to show that sometimes things happen, and people cross our paths for a reason.

The second book of this series, just like the first, did not disappoint. This is a story about mafia princess Sofia who is being “hunted” by the Russian mafia. Sofia is a designer who is about to take off in the fashion world in Milan. However, prior to this adventure, a person from her past shows up and everyone knows that trouble is coming. Sofia has brothers who will not let anything happen to her, however, another would also come to her aid and much more. Enzo is the son of a high ranking mob boss, but has always pledged to keep Sophia safe. When they were younger they performed a blood oath and he always promised to keep her out of harm’s way. They have been “estranged” ever since his promised bride went missing along with his sister. He thought by staying away from Sophia, it would help keep her safe but he was wrong. So, Enzo and Sophia end up taking this journey together while he plays bodyguard and they both try to ignore their feelings for one another. I always love a great, steamy, romance between friends that becomes more. Some of the best relationships start out as friends and the bond can become something so different. That seems to happen for Enzo and Sophia. I really enjoy this series. The characters, the steaminess, and the combination of bad boy at the whims of the woman he loves just truly does it for me.
Blood oath is the second book in the mafia elite series, and like the first book it is brilliant. It is action packed, steamy and dramatic. Its starts off with Enzo and Sofia when they are kids making a blood oath that Enzo would always keep Sofia safe. But Enzo feels he needs to distance himself from her to actually keep her safe. Until someone from the russian bratva sets his sights on Sofia, Enzo will do anything for his childhood friend.
I was so thrilled reading this book. You will fall in love with Max almost instantly! Lilliana is in for a wild ride throughout this entire book, and with every turn of the page I hoped for the best for her. I love the way that the author painted a full picture of the Mafia life, indicating the danger that was present, but not from yours or my point of view, but from the point of view of someone right there in it. The bloodshed was not so hard to stomach, but the focus was on Max and his dangerous plight to rid Lilliana of her father’s terrible reign! Extremely well written and I was SO ON THE EDGE OF MY SEAT!!!

Blood Oath is the second book in the Mafia Elite series by Amy McKinley. I am really enjoying this series so far, it is a fast paced, exciting and romantic read. This novel centres around Enzo, mafia underboss of the Vitale family and Sofia, the princess of the La Rosa family. When Sofia is threatened by the Russian mob boss’s son, Enzo pulls out all the stops to try and ensure her safety, while also realising his true feelings for her. I really loved this book, the female characters are so strong and although the men will do anything to protect them, they are able to handle themselves. I am really looking forward to the next book in this series, I need to know who the “rat” in the family is, as I am sure that the author is laying a false trail just now. When I read the first book, I struggled placing all the characters with their respective families however by this book I feel that I know them all. Highly recommend.

Caught in Midnight Shadows is the fourth book in The Caught Series by Sharleen Scott. This is a fast paced on the edge of your seat Romance Suspense that once you start reading there’s no stopping until you finish. I’ve read several books by this author but this may be my favorite yet. This author style of writing and attention to detail continues to amaze me. I love feeling like I’m right there with the characters. Her characters are well developed and fun and relatable. Hang on tight and be prepared for quite the ride. Brant is on a quest to fulfill his mother’s last words. He’s looking for a guy who worked on the ranch several years ago He hadn’t planned on meeting Aubrey. Aubrey had her own plans she was going to hop on her Harley and ride and not look back that is until she meets him. Oh these two I just love them. They are then faced with a stalker, murdere who is out to finish what was started . Find out what happens next in this absolute must read. I can’t wait to see what this author brings us next.

Although this is the fourth book in the series, this is the first book I have read from this author. I really enjoyed the plot and the twists and turns! I can honestly say that I was expecting none of this book!
The characters were very well written! I really enjoyed both Brant and Aubrey which is rare because most of the time the guys seem too perfect! This was well written, good plot, and just a joy to read! Props to the author!!! @karenmmarsh

This is book 2 in this series and I was not disappointed. I feel like I connected more with the characters in this book than I did w/ Max and Lil in the first. I liked the overall plot and character and story development. I’m still flabbergasted that not a single police interaction has been touched upon in all the gun play and dead bodies in the past 2 books but, hey, I’m no gangster. Maybe that’s how it works.
One thing I will say is that I almost wish the author had told Elena’s story first. Her story entwines into this one and I felt like I was missing a large piece of the story. I’m sure it’s a way to bridge into that whole situation (possibly next?) but I almost wish it had been ordered the opposite way.
All- in- all I think I’d still give this book 5/5 stars. It was well written and a nice simple and fairly quick read. It didn’t lull or get boring at any point and the characters were relatable and well written. Looking forward to reading book 3.

I will definitely need to read the first three to this series as I feel I am missing quite a back story but it was a fantastic book. The author did a great job at introducing the characters and using such rich description to set up the scene in the mind of the readers! Originally I chose to read this book because the synopsis caught my eye – I have family in Wyoming so I take in any story with characters from there or ranchers! – but then the mystery and thriller aspect of the book took over and made me so curious for what was going to happen next and how it was going to play out. I honestly can’t explain too much without it spoiling the story for those excited to read it but what I will say is 10/10 it hooked me and I will be finding the first three immediately to fill in the mental gaps I have. The author did a good job at trying to connect all dots in this book but I definitely encourage readers to start from book 1 for the full experience.

Blood Oath a sublime five-star read. This is number two in the Mafia Elite series, and I didn’t think it was able to be better than the first, but this one blew me away. You will be captivated by Sophia and Enzo, Sophia is the main character and she is doing what she can. But what we want to do isn’t always possible, and that’s when Enzo steps in, there is violence in this story, but it is done well, and has a place. This is a great story, and I can’t wait for what we will get next.

I wasn’t sure what I would be getting from this book and went in blind. Let me tell you that getting to know these characters was like an out of body experience. So eloquently written, and perfectly executed. This story had it all. From danger, suspense, attraction, surprise, intensity. These characters met unexpectedly, the chemistry blindsided them both. They weren’t looking for each other, but could not deny the growing need between them. Unpredictable and dramatic, they will go to any lengths to protect their own, and fight the ever present and increasing temptation. I loved not knowing what was in store at the next turn of the page. I felt the insatiable pull of this diverse and colourful cast, immersing myself in their journey and feeling so much I thought I would burst from the vivid emotions that captivated me throughout the story. Difficult to put down. Unforgettable. 5 stars.

I devoured this book quickly. After a couple bad relationships, Leann Bobbin meets a new guy. He wants to show her how a woman should be treated. I found this to be a very sweet story that reminded me that we should not take less than we are worth in a relationship. I really enjoyed that their relationship started with “boundaries”. Len doesn’t want to be a stalker so decides that he will at least send a text every night to make sure she makes it home every night. Not returning that text, is what set Len into action to try to save her. I enjoyed this book very much and look forward to more from this author.

This romantic suspense really kept me on the edge of my seat through the majority of the book. Full of drama, suspense, mystery, intrigue, and more this author really knows how to hook her reader and keep them reading until the final page. While this is the second book in this series the chatacter development is fantastic for this short novel. While I found the characters to be fantastic I found the plot to be dramatic, suspenseful, and overall intriguing.The bank heist is intense and will pull you in as if your trapped in the bank with our main character Leann during a bank robbery. Even though Leann is pulling put all of.the stops to survive, will she make it? Will her new police officer boyfriend Leonard be able to save her? You’ll have to read this second installment to find out.

Leann has been dealing with the recent stalker she had and has started dating a new guy, Len who is a police officer. Len is the perfect boyfriend, he checks in on her, is very protective and is very loving. When Leann doesn’t respond to one of his messages he finds out that she is in the midst of a bank robbery. Leann is used to challenges but this a new one. She is hiding and sneaks a call to Len to come rescue them. Will he be able to save her this time? This is a fast paced read that I finished in one sitting. Its a great read!

This book was quite short and the romance was cute. Leann is like a puppy, very excited and agreeable. Len has some past heartache which is addressed and overcome so quickly. Despite having some shady relationships in the past, Leann instantly gravitates to Len which I found to be a bit odd. The main plot twist in the story was also resolved too easily. I wish it was longer and explored the troubled past of both characters more. It felt like mostly pleasant chatter. Enjoyable and quick, but would have liked a little more tension, passion, or drama to keep me invested.

Leann has just graduated college and is about to strike out on her own with a new job in the towns bank as its new manager, new apartment and a new boyfriend, a local cop who works for the Bartlett Police department. After a stressful couple of years and a bit of bad luck, it seems like things are starting to look up for her and when she meets her new boyfriend, she is all smiles and happiness, something she has had in short supply, apart from when around her family and he seems just what she is looking for, meanwhile, he is just as happy to be around her and they try and either talk or message at least once a day around their shifts at work, but one day there is a robbery at the bank and Leann has just one opportunity to tell her boyfriend what is happening, but will he get there in time to stop the robbers, or will he be too late? This is a romantic suspense with sweet romance and danger combined to keep you on your toes throughout while also indulging in the innocence the romance provides.
