The Lies Between Us: A Psychic Romantic Suspense (Deadly Secrets Book 4) by Cynthia Cooke is a suspenseful romance story and quite the ride. It is an adventure that is action packed and is full of surprises, drug lords and a kidnapping just to name a few. Married for years but not quite knowing your partner and what they really do is just what the characters discover along with us. They are anything but a normal married couple. There is paranormal mixed in with danger and gives the story just that little bit more flavour and excitement.

This is the fourth book in the Deadly Secrets series. This can be read as a standalone, I highly suggest reading all of the books in this series as they are just as great as this one. This is a romance-suspense story that had me turning pages fast. It is an engaging story that has details that made me feel as if I was right there in the middle of the action. I had no problems connecting with the characters as they bring the story to life. They also bring twists and turns that had me sitting on the edge of my seat just waiting to see what would happen next. This is a story of a kidnapping of an FBI agent and his wife using special abilities to find him. Cat has made a promise to her husband Tom to not use her special abilities on him but will she break that promise to find him? I really enjoyed Cat’s character. She is strong and determined to get what she wants. She made the story entertaining and easy to read. This made a great afternoon read and I highly recommend it.

I loved reading the book The Lies Between Us: A Psychic Romantic Suspense (Deadly Secrets Book 4) by Cynthia Cooke. It is a story that includes action, danger, and romance. I loved reading about the characters of Tom and Cat. Tom is an undercover FBI agent who has kept his line of work secret. He is a man that when on a case is determined to see it through to the end. Cat is a woman who is intelligent, strong, and has special abilities. Tom is missing. Will Cat be able to find him? Secrets have been kept. Will they and their marriage survive? Read this book to find out. This is a story that had me on the edge of my seat. It is fast-paced and will have you wondering what is going to happen next. I grew to care about Cat and Tom with each chapter that I read. They are both characters that I could root for their success. The author does a wonderful job of making both the story and the characters come alive. I enjoyed reading about the secondary characters and how many of them come to the aid of Tom and Cat. Then some have other plans and agendas. Don’t miss out on a book that you won’t want to put down until the final page. I highly recommend reading it.

This was a great book! There was plenty of action, chemistry between the characters, and lots of suspense. I really loved the danger and intrigue of this book. This was definitely a page-turner.

This is another action packed story. I enjoyed it. Julian really impressed me in this one. I didn’t realize he is such a force of nature to be reckoned with. He see a problem and he fixes it. Once he sees Sadie and Holly multiple times he realizes fate is stepping in. Holly hasn’t had a great life but she sure turned herself around. I actually ended up liking Her and of course Sadie is the cutest!
I also didn’t realize that Julius had such a large family (They could have their own series). All of his brothers are wonderful and I love how they have each other’s back.
This is the third book in the series. This one is my favorite so far. The story moves along at lightening speed and is filled the drama and suspense.

Secure Heart is the third book in the Chase Security Series by R.L Dunn and my favorite yet. I’m loving this series .I highly recommend reading the first two books if you haven’t already. This is a fast paced second chance romance that once I started reading I had a hard time putting it down . This is Juilan and Holly’s story. Secure Heart (Chase Security Series Book 3) by R.L. Dunn was a great 5 star read. Once I started I didn’t want to put it down. I was excited to read Julian’s story.
Holly is a singer and songwriter trying to make ends meet for her and her son. When something scary happens to her she decides to hire Chase Security which is where she meets Julian. The more time they spend together feelings start to develop.
Julian has started with Chase Security and is trying to move forward from his past. He gets a job watching over a single mom and her daughter. He’s also working on a serial killer case. Will he be able to help them and find the serial killer?
Overall this was a great read. I was on the edge of my seat, waiting to see what was coming next. We get action, love, suspense and so much more. All of the characters added a great element to the story. The author does a great job of pulling you in with her writing. I absolutely love The Chase Security Series. Secure Heart is Book 3 in the series. All of the books are great and detailed. The author did a great job giving the readers what they like. Julian and Holly are both great characters. There’s other characters in the book from previous books but this one focuses on these main characters. My favorite is Sadie though. Holly is an up and coming singer who ends up needing a great security team to help keep herself and her daughter Sadie safe. Who else is there aside from the Chase team! They are the best. Julian and Holly begin to get close but, both have a terrible past. Will they be able to let each other in or will they just end up with a professional relationship? When Holly and Julian both have people after them, what can they do? Is it the same person? Will they be able to get through these attacks in one piece? There’s a lot of action in this book and some suspense. You definitely don’t want to miss out on this book. I would also recommend reading the others in the series. You will not be disappointed.

Secure Heart is the third book in R.L. Dunn’s Chase Security Series and I was absolutely delighted to discover that it was about Julian that I got so intrigued by in the previous book! He is the embodiment of his call name “Smooth” and I can only imagine the pressure that comes with that and I absolutely admired how he carried it. I was also delighted to get to San Diego branch of Chase Security (the one missing now is the New York branch and I hope that we will get there soon with Tighe and Lissa!) and meeting the crew there! In the center of the story is Holly D and her four-year-old daughter Sadie and when two broken people meet and the stars align, magic happens … the pain that Holly carries, the pain that Julia carries, the maturity that the four year old Sadie expresses … it has been a while since I cried as much as I did when reading Secure Heart … The human depravity is something that the writer excels at writing about, the feeling of reality that it evokes and the pain we feel when we read the stories … I bow my head to her talent and I hope that she will keep the stories coming our way!

I thoroughly enjoyed this novel which although book three in the ‘Chase Security Series’ can be read as a standalone story. However some of the characters do crossover as the series is about the Chase brothers and their team. Having read the previous books I was looking forward to this one and was not disappointed. ‘Secure Heart’, is Julian and Holly’s story, and former Navy SEAL and widower Julian “Smooth” Dupart is the new head of the Chase Group in San Diego and is “breaking up” with his bottle of bourbon. Indie performing artist Holly Dupree Morrison had an abusive childhood followed by abusive relationships. Sadly her four year old daughter Sadie who has a compromised heart needs surgery after taking bad medication from the Chase Group Health Center. Meanwhile, Julian has discovered that his company had been distributing substandard and counterfeit medication. Holly is forced to hire Chase Security when a stalker nearly kills her and a remorseful Julian vows to protect her and Sadie.
Cheerful and sassy Sadie steals Julians heart and so does her Mum but he worries that he can’t face loosing Sadie to the same illness that his wife died from. Holly is concerned about trusting her heart to Julian despite their shared chemistry and mutual attraction. It’s not just Holly who finds herself in danger as someone seems out to get Julian and Chase Security as well. In the background San Diego has a serial kidnapper on the loose who tortures women and abducts their children. Julian and his colleagues have to discover how the threats to Holly and the threats to the company are connected to the kidnapper and work out how to stop them before anymore women and children are taken.
This was an eventful novel which was full of drama, suspense and of course romance. The storyline had me hooked from start to finish and the plot kept me gripped wanting to find out how it was all going to end. I loved the main characters, Julian, Holly and Sadie and how the relationships developed between all three of them. The chemistry between Julian and Holly really came across and I liked how their tentative romance developed throughout the story. An enjoyable and engaging book which I recommend.

This is the 3rd book in the Chase Security Series and its just as gripping as the first 2. The love story is really touching and emotional that you cant help but love the characters. Along with that story there is also the mystery, mayhem and terror which surrounds Chase Security and the people they protect.
In this story we follow Julian. We found out a little about him in previous books but in this book we learn all about him. I like Julian’s character. He is smart, amazingly good at his job and has a heart of gold.
After being transferred to the San Diego part of Chase Security he realised that things in that part of the business aren’t what they seem and what he unravels will shock and amaze.
As well as this element there is also a romance and this happens with Holly. Holly has had a troubled past but is now making a life for herself and her daughter. With a manager trying to get his claws into her and a crazy fan threatening her safety she hires Chase Security and more importantly Julian to protect her.
Can Julian save her from the dangers around her? Is he able to open his heart and learn to love again? Will Holly see him for the man he is or will she think he is just like all the other men in her life?

This series just gets better and better. I really appreciate the emotional connection that Dunn establishes immediately. As the reader I immediately was invested in the characters and storyline. I love the way Dunn develops the story with a very natural and compelling ebb and flow. Just the right amount of suspense, drama, and romance. Although it can be read as a stand-alone I would absolutely recommend this be read with the other books of the series. They are just so good you will want to read them all.

Secure Heart by R.L. Dunn is the third book in the Chase Security Series. This can be read as a standalone book, but I’ve enjoyed reading in order to see how the different characters develop. Each book focuses on a different member of the Chase Security team and someone who has captured their eye. This book focuses on Julian Dupart, the new head of the San Diego branch and Holly Dupree Morrison. These stories have thrills, mystery, romance, and more to them. I have enjoyed how the series draws the attention to a different couple each story, while you still get to see the ones from past books. I really enjoyed the character of Holly and how she will fight for her daughter no matter the danger. I look forward to reading more in this series and from this author in the future.

When you are asked to help a friend to manage one of there facilities, will his broken heart ever be mended when a woman and her daughter need his help.
Julian is suffering from a broken heart, widowed for a few years he has not really seemed his self since. After starting his job at San Diego office of Chase Security will this be able to try and forget the past, but when he is asked to protect a woman and her young daughter, plus having to deal with a serial killer within his patch, will he be able to manage both of his assignments.
Holly is a single mother trying to survive in the world, with her songwriting and singing she is getting by, until one night an attempt on her life shakes her and enroles the help of Chase Security and in walks Julian. As they work closely together she starts to see that there can be light in his broken heart but will she be able to crack through before its too late.
I love this series, each book offers a great insight into the worlds RL Dunn creates. Julian and Holly’s characters are brilliant together and the chemistry pluses off the page and just draws you into the story where I could not stop reading. I do have to say I think these two are my favourite of the duo’s I have read and the tension and action is just enough not to be too unrealistic.
Each story can be read as a standalone but some characters do arc into each story and who would not want to read more of this wonderful stories. I can’t wait to read the next installment to this story soon.

As the lives of these two people collide, so does everything around them.
R.L. Dunn wrote this the 3rd book in the Chase Security Series. WOW! This is a page turning rollercoaster. I have to say for the 3rd time, This is my favorite in the series. Please feel free to follow the series. This story hit all the feels. I cried a little, screamed a lot ( thank goodness I was at home alone), and could not put this down. R.L Dunn has done it again. Julian and Holly are the strong independent and go getters.. Sadie is the cutest little princess. Thank You R.L. Dunn for another suspenseful romance. Job Well Done! I am loving this series!! It is dangerous and sexy…emotional and thrilling…I just can’t get enough.
This is third book of the series and focuses on Julian. Julian has recently become the head of Chase Security’s San Diego branch. He is digging himself out of a past that has beaten him down. Upon arriving in San Diego, he finds out that Chase medical is endangering its patients and putting their lives at risk. One of those lives belongs to a little girl named Sadie. Sadie is suffering from the same condition that took Julian’s wife from him…but he is determined to save her. Her mother, Holly, has her own past demons that force her to keep her walls up. I found myself really invested in both Holly and Julian. Their pasts had me hoping that each of them would find happiness and not be faced with heartbreak again. Holly is a strong character and not quick to let a man take care of her…and I loved that about her. This is another great book in this series and I am looking forward to Zach’s story next!

I loved this book, while I haven’t read any previous books in the series this book was enough to make me want to go back and read the previous reads in the series! This read was fast-paced from the get-go, and it was so enjoyable to read! The characters really brought this story to life, and I loved following along on their journey! This story has action, adventure & romance. The chemistry between Julian and Holly was undeniable and I absolutely loved watching them grow as people and their relationship throughout. I can’t wait to go back and read more from this series and also see where else this author takes us! I highly recommend this read and this author!

Secure Heart by R.L. Dunn is the third book in the Chase Security series, even though you can read this as a standalone, I would recommend reading the whole series. This was another great addition to this series, and I swear the more I read from this author the more I fall in love with her books and writing style. Holly and Julian are the characters in this story and boy are they an amazing combination with the connection and chemistry. The book is written amazing where it just flows and the storyline is strong. I had trouble putting this book down for the simple fact I got lost in its world. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

This has been a fun series to follow and this book being the third, I would suggest reading the previous two before diving into this one. We really grow and get to know the Chase Security team throughout them but the characters overlap from book to book. Dunn really has a knack for writing a well developed and layered story. I love that the romance is simply a layer, not the whole read, and in doing so it becomes an enhancement not a chore to read. I was anxious to get my hands on this one and discover more of Julian, and was he as smooth and sexy as I ever expected. Holly and Sadie bring a sweet and sassy side to the story and kept me giggling at times with some of Sadies antics and points of view. I really look forward to seeing what we will get in the next installment.

This is the 3rd book in the Chase Security series and it was definitely my favourite! I liked the first two but I just found myself completely gripped by the story in this one. I really liked the characters Julian and Holly and I absolutely adored Holly’s daughter Sadie! She was such a special little girl to read about. Julian’s character appeared in book 2 of the series but I really enjoyed getting to know him more in this instalment. He’s such a lovely character, really genuine and I loved the connection he had with Holly. I was definitely rooting for these two the whole way through because they both deserved to be with someone special. Overall a really enjoyable read, although part of a series it can be read as a standalone. I look forward to more from this author in the future!

Secure Heart by R.L. Dunn is the third book in the Chase Security series. This book can be read as a standalone although I would definitely recommend reading the whole series. This is a story that is full of action and has some strong characters to back this up. Holly and Julian were such a good match for each other their story just seemed to work. The whole book was really well developed. The author knew when to push things forwards but she also knew when the story line would benefit from taking a step back. I thought the characters were really the focal point of this book. While there was a great storyline the characters are really what shone through. They had a strong connection and that you could feel on every page. This has been a brilliant series so far and I am looking forward to seeing what is next.

Secure Heart is the 3rd book in the fantastic Chase Security Series by R.L. Dunn. Each book in the series could be read as a standalone but I would recommend them all, and doing so in order as previous events are mentioned and may make more sense if you have read the previous books. Added to the fact that they are all fantastic books then I’m sure it would be no hardship to read them all. We got to know a bit about Julian Dupart in the 2nd book Secure Again and I’m so glad that R.L. Dunn chose to give him his own book as I was interested to find out more about this intriguing man. We really get to know Julian throughout this book and I absolutely loved this man. He’s super smart and a total whizz at his job but we get to see so much more of Julian and discover that he has a heart of gold. His leading lady in this book is Holly Dupree Morrison and I adored her too. She’s had a horrible life so far and will do absolutely anything to protect her adorable daughter Sadie. I must add that Sadie absolutely stole my heart. She is the most adorable child ever and had me in tears at a few points with her whole outlook on life (and death). As with the previous books in the series there’s so much more than the romance story going on and in Secure Heart the storyline running alongside the romance is dark and dangerous and very entertaining. I was really gripped by the story and did not want to put this book down. I desperately hope that R.L. Dunn choses to write more about the Chase Security team.

Secure Heart is the third book in the Chase Security seriesby R.L Dunn. It is a bit of a romantic suspense, with second chances, danger, stalking, drama, emotion, chemistry, spice, and plenty of character growth. I am really having trouble picking my favourite from out of this series (so far)- as each book is quite riveting. Again, as with the previous books, there is a lot going on in the book- and I liked the fresh feel to the storyline- as well as having a lot of characters to keep track of- which all the series books seem to have, and is a characteristic I now associate with R.L Dunn’s work. It definitely adds extra interest to the story. I loved Holly, and Sadie. They’re such great characters- and I loved the extra emotive quality that Sadie brought to the overall storyline. Julian is just as smooth as I would have expected, being a Chase Security team member, not to mention former Navy SEAL- and it was great to tag along for the ride, and really ‘get to know him’. The story is really well developed, with palpable tension and suspense woven throughout the storyline. The emotional component was both heartaching, and at times very touching. This was a really engaging and enjoyable read! Looking forward to the next book!

This book was something, guys. Liam, a cop, and Catriona, a nun, stole my heart. They were absolutely perfect together. I love when couples aren’t picture perfect for one another in every way and that’s exactly what India Kells gave us with True Bastard. The love in this book is unlikely and unexpected, but it really works. The supporting characters were really well developed, also! While this is book 4, it can be read as a stand-alone.

Once again we are entranced by another Bastard! True Bastard is Book 4 in the Dark Sparrows series by India Kells. Liam Harker is one of the brothers that is ready to take down his father for all that it costs. Problem number one…he is a cop. He has been tasked to go through his father’s financials but in order to do so he is going to need some help. Here comes problem number two…his help is newbie nun who just happens to have a talent in numbers. And the final problem…he has an attraction to said nun. Sister Catriona Walsh is just about to take her vows to become a full-fledged nun when she is asked to help Liam go through the financials. I would definitely read the other books first as they contain information to keep you informed about what has happened previously. I loved this book as I loved the others and I really hope that there is another book in the series so we can finish out the brothers. I just love all the character and how they interact with each other. It is such an adventure to see this series unfold and this book didn’t disappoint!
