Beautiful Dangerous
By: Becky Flade

The Philly Heat Series is definitely one of my current favorites. With each new book I am greeted by fantastic characters who are going to be featured in an absolutely irresistible plot. In this book we get an absolutely fantastic romance that is coupled with an fantastic thrilling suspense. Hannah and Doyle are very well written characters who have an amazing amount of depth. Each of them are beautifully damaged in a way that makes them even more endearing. Their story kept me reading well into the night because I could not convince myself to put this book down. I definitely recommend picking this book up because it does not disappoint!

The third book in this series that I have read in a row and I am in awe of how the author continues to keep their multi character development and world building as on spot as they do. We have constant input from Tink and her badass MC, Tank and his MC and family, the GRim Wolves MC, Panther and his men, and Ollie and his veterans ranch. Everyone has an important part to play in these books.
Taz the accountant and her autistic son are once again dragged into the past when Taz’s ex makes an appearance alongside his white supremasist militia. Taz has a dark and painful past including loss of her sons father and abuse, she has found her place in the Devils Handmaidens MC, where the MC family truly come into their own.
Enforcer or Travis to Taz goes from their on off relationship to fully blown away by his feelings for the brightly coloured semi hippy bike riding badass that is Taz, when he discovers her past and understands how strong she is to have survived he becomes more protective. Again mentions of abuse, supreme race , death and surviving are all involved and mentioned. WE are starting to build a picture of the world and how the underworld works and is linked in this world that is being built by the author.
DINGO

Laughter is the best medicine. I make sure to always deliver the fun and crazy while hiding my pain behind it. It’s who I am and what I do. I also work my butt off for the Grimm Wolves MC brothers, trying to prove myself as more than just a prospect. But even the toughest of the tough need to let loose every now and then. I know that more than anyone after the world of hurt I’ve experienced.

CELEE

A chance encounter in a chat room just may be the saving grace I’ve needed all along. My father’s enemies are closing in, and my time just might be running out. Thank God Dingo and his brothers will do anything to keep me safe–even if it means going up against the most vile of criminals around. But the more Dingo tries to protect me, the more I know he’s hurting too.

Can two fractured hearts find a way to heal together?

Truck Stopped (Satan’s Devils MC) Audiobook by Manda Mellett – Review by Bobbi Wagner

This is not my first audio book by this author but it is one of my favorites. This is a series that I have enjoyed reading and listening to from the start. I enjoyed the narrator’s voice and how engaging they kept the story with their voice. The author did a great job of creating something so amazing and the characters are steamy. Truck is badly scarred from his past but will Allie be his savior? Will she show him there is more to her than just a friend? Loved their chemistry. This is a must listen to audio! I highly recommend this audiobook.

Truck Stopped (Satan’s Devils MC) Audiobook by Manda Mellett – Review by Amanda Glaspie

Once again, this book proved why this is one of my favorite series and I’m so incredibly sad to see it end for the Tucson chapter. This was wonderfully and beautifully written. I felt every single emotion between Trucker and Allie. I found myself unable to stop listening and when I had to “put the book down” I found myself thinking a out it. I loved how this followed the same normal format as all the other books but also gave closure to the Tucson club. As always the narrators were fantastic and were absolutely perfect.

Born to Die (The McIntire County Series Book 2) by Winter Austin – Review by Heidi Sturgess

Born to Die (The McIntire County Series: #2)Born to Die by Winter Austin
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is book 2 in the series and I highly recommend you start at the beginning of the series , not only is it a brilliant read but you’ll not enjoy the full experience of this series as characters and incidents intertwine .

Nicolette Rivers , our marine sniper from Atonement , is now living a good and happy life but her sister Casey is the deputy in Elder but she bears the scars physically , mentally and emotionally from her run in with the serial killer from Atonement, she is a tough cookie though and faces her fears head on .

There’s a new “war” to fight now , random robberies , a dead officer , blackmail etc and the. To top it all there’s matters of the heart involved when she has to work side by side with her d flame FBI agent Boyce Hunt , these 2 have some unfinished business as it is and their flame is smouldering and despite all that’s going on their passion. Is rekindled …..

Expect the unexpected, you’ll be kept on your toes throughout this read of that I can assure you 🥰📚
We get to know more of Cassie and who she is and what makes her tick which was nice because we only met her in Atonement and she played a vital role .

There was a moment where I swear my heart stopped ! Cassie and Hunt are held up in her home and all I could of was her past trauma and how it would effect her and her reactions but fear not this Amazonian warrior took the bull by the horns , a real and true survivor! You left me in awe girl !

Another brilliant, hair raising and nail biting read ❣️📚can’t wait to read the next instalment .

Truck
Badly burned and injured I’ve lost everything. I can’t fight fires anymore, or even ride my bike.
I brood, alone. I even have thoughts of ending my life. What have I got to live for?
That was when I hit my lowest point and began to want to fight back.
I couldn’t do it alone, but never expected the person who’d be a friend to me would be Allie.
Was she like the rest of the sweet butts willing to do anything to become a biker’s old lady? Had she sunk her claws into me because she thought I was easy? Was she ignoring my scars just so I’d patch her?
Was she encouraging me back to the club for her interests or for mine?
Could I move past the fact all my brothers had known her intimately?
Allie
I enjoy sex. I’m not going to apologise for that. But Truck? He was different. It wasn’t just getting off with him, it had been something else. Something I wanted to explore.
Before I got my chance he’d gone, and hadn’t returned, or at least, not as the man he once was.
The club wants him back, so I volunteered to try to reach him.
My heart shattered when I found him scarred, broken and angry, but I wouldn’t let him push me away. He needed a friend and I could be that.
I can’t hope for anything more. Biker’s never fall for sweet butts, do they?

I really like reading a book series and this one hasn’t disappointed me yet. The author does a great job of world and character building. I especially like that we’re provided with a different character, Jolie’s point of view in this book. She is a new member of the force and gets immersed in a case of a missing girl.
The story kept my attention, between the characters from earlier books, the new characters, some drama, and even a romance mixed in. All of that means I couldn’t stop reading!

This book was definitely not a normal read for me. It was definitely more of a dark book and into alternate lifestyles. The storyline flips between different time frames often, and sometimes that was hard to keep up with. Tang is a writer who discovers a woman she had been involved with was in a car accident. The problem is that she has kept that from her girlfriend, Layla. Dee is the woman she was involved with, and Dee has a string of men and women. It was an interesting read, and it keeps you wanting to find out what happens.

No Amends by Angela Lam is a well woven LGBTQ+ psychological suspense that had me avidly reading the whole way through. It is the first book that I have read by this author, but it certainly won’t be the last.
This has all the ingredients that I look for in a great thriller, with tension, dark/raw/gritty details, intrigue, mystery, emotion, dramatic developments, interesting characters, well-developed plot, and a great flow.
All in all- an engrossing read…
Looking forward to more from Ms. Lam.
Happy Reading…

Wow…..This is my first F/F story and wow…. the entanglement of lies and truths! I devoured this book and could not put it down. I am new to this author and this story was fantastic. The lies, deceit, romance, tragedy, suspense and a bit twisted intent of emotions…….it was a roller coaster ride…..and I cannot stop thinking about it. This book will stay with me for quite awhile.

Tang Young is trying to balance being a writer along with having a full time job. By a chance encounter, Tang meets Dee and they both hit it off quickly….but Tang needs to be cautious as she already has a live in girlfriend, Layla. Tang and Dee heat up with a truly forbidden romance than spans coast to coast…but Dee is not always forthcoming with truths. Dee has a family back home but cannot stay away from Tang. When Tang tries to pull away from Dee..it is something she needs to do to stay with Layla…but Dee is relentless in her pursuit…lies are spun upon lies until a tragedy strikes and now the truth must come out. Will it be to late…

Definitely read and find out….this suspenseful thriller had me right from the beginning. I highly recommend this read.

A story about an accident and a stranger but is the person really a stranger? I enjoyed how the characters pulled me into the story from the beginning. A story that has great growth and suspense you don’t want to miss. I enjoyed reading this book and I highly recommend it.

I love a good suspenseful read but this one just wasn’t for me. I do not do well with books that flip back and forth between past and present as I struggle to keep up with the story. This book is a captivating and intriguing story that is complex and woven together so well. So much happens in the story and it is intricately pieced together. I thought the book was gripping from the moment you start reading. It is full of twists and turns which kept me on the edge of my seat the whole way through.
I loved how the characters were right at the heart of this story. Everything centered around them which, for me, made it all the more engaging. No Amends by Angela Lam — Review by Jessie Hopkins

This book really played on my emotions, I was stuck between wanting to keep reading and needing a break to digest what I had just read.

Tang has weaved herself an interesting web between her real estate job, writing a book and her love life, she is a very busy woman. Layla loves her but is growing impatient with the book. Dee loves Layla but wants more commitment, wants to know that she will have a family there for her and wants that security.

This book definitely grabs your attention.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Outside of my usual comfort zone, I enjoyed No Amends more than I thought, for the lovers triangle the book is focused on is usually not my cup of tea. I enjoyed it because the stories intertwine as well as the relationships the author describes really well, but not sexually explicit/spicy.

Dark novel at times, Amanda desperately tries to atone for the mistakes she made in the past, hoping for forgiveness that will set her free from the burden that has been weighing her down. She turns to drugs and alcohol as a means of distraction, but soon realizes that the only way out is to face her guilt and make amends with her past.

The book is thoughtfully written, with evocative language and a well-crafted plot that keeps readers engaged from start to finish. Angela Lam’s writing style is crisp and engaging, making it easy to connect with the characters and their struggles.

Overall, “No Amends” is a compelling and powerful novel that not only entertains but also provides deeper insights into the human condition and the power of redemption. It is a must-read for anyone who loves contemporary fiction that explores complex themes and provides a fresh perspective on life.

This is a great suspenseful read. I was gripped from the first page and the twists and turns kept me guessing all the way through the book. It is a story of Forbidden romance, a life filled with lies and secrets, deception and games that ends up with someone’s life ending.
This is a F/F romance which was interesting. The emotions and confusion that went throughout this story was so well written that I felt every thing that the characters did.
Tang is a writer struggling to produce a book that will sell, her relationship with Layla is missing that spark and affection so is it any wonder when Tang meets Dee that she gets swept up in the attention and affection that Dee showers her with.
But Dee isn’t all she seems. She likes playing games. Her favourite thing to do is ensnare people and make them fall in love with her. But what happens when her game fails and she finds herself being the one left? What happens when Dee’s secrets start to unravel and Tang finally sees her for what she is? Tang finds herself in a mixture of guilt and confusion as all this is revealed and one night changes her life forever.

It was an amazing read. I couldn’t put it down.

Wow, what a way to start with a new author! Without giving too much away in this quick, explosive read – the opening finds us meeting Layla and Tang as Layla returns home from a trip to settle her mothers estate. It jumps quickly into mentioning a fatal single vehicle accident at Hangman’s Bend, and thus begins the puzzle of guilt, shame, romance, suspense, tension and more.

A very exciting read and I’ll follow this author to see what worlds she builds!

If you enjoy a suspense filled novel, this is for you! The author had me on the edge of my seat from the first chapter! You follow the story of Dee and Tang. Both characters are very well developed. Tang is interesting because she is overcome with the affection she receives from Dee. Layla just did not provide the affection that Tang was looking for.

This book would be great for anyone interested in psychology. I imagine Tang would meet the DSM criteria for Reactive Attachment Disorder. The plot is also interesting to follow; very intense. I loved every second of this novel and I look forward to reading other books by this author! This novel is also LGBTQ+ friendly!
