The 45th Parallel (Antipodes, #6)The 45th Parallel by T.S. Simons
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is an author that I have enjoyed reading from the first book I picked up. I never hesitate to pick up this author’s books as I know that I am in for an adventure. This book is no different. This is a well written story where the author used details to make the story come to life. The characters pulled me into the story from the start. They took me on an adventure of new worlds and survival of a human race is at risk. I enjoyed watching the growth of the plot as well as the characters. It added to the enjoyment and entertainment of the story. This is a fast paced story that I found hard to put down. I enjoyed the adventure and I highly recommend this book.

The Golden Garza (Red Cage, #4)The Golden Garza by S. Ann Cole
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the fourth book in the series. I unfortunately did not read the rest of the series when I picked out this book. However, I had no problem getting sucked into the story and getting to know the characters. I’m sure it would have been even better to read the whole series in order but sometimes it just doesn’t happen. The author writes in a way that you can feel like you’re in the locations described in the book. All of the characters in the family and the author’s world building creates a story you can’t get enough of.

I really enjoyed getting to know Tripp who has a secret love for Soleil, his younger sister’s best friend. But things aren’t so easy when Soleil wants nothing to do with him. When Soleil need help to find out the truth about her past and requests help from Red Cage, it brings some dangerous consequences that Tripp and his family’s business help work through for Soleil.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I had not read the previous books in the series, as it stated this was a standalone story, but I will absolutely be reading the first 3 books immediately. This was a fantastic story about Tripp and Soleil in the Red Cage series. The author did an amazing job of setting up the history between the two characters, as well as their individual backgrounds. Being his little sister’s best friend, Soleil has always had a crush on Tripp, but he always made it clear that he found her annoying. The steamy slow burn between them, in the background of the danger and mystery, created a pager turner I couldn’t put down. The story had excellent pacing and each time you thought everything was resolved, the author threw another twist. I also adored the secondary characters and I can’t wait to see Tillie get her own story and discover the mystery X. I highly recommend this story and can’t wait to see what else the author has in store for this series.

The Golden Garza is the fourth book in the Red Cage series. After reading the other books it was a no brainer getting this one. I somehow started the series with the third book but went back and read the first two though and I loved them.
I love this series and the wonderful characters who are complex and fully realised. There is also a cast of secondary characters that you will like just as much.
This fantastic romance tale is intriguing, steamy, and has suspense, danger, drama, action and so much more to keep the pages turning.
This is Tripp and Sunny’s story and what a story it is. I was totally engaged throughout, and I loved the push pull between these two and the love hate, hate to love relationship with the sizzling chemistry. The two of them are passionate and stubborn.
When trouble comes calling can she rely on his help her out or is there deadly consequences?
I can’t wait to see what S Ann Cole does next.

The Golden Garza
By: S. Ann Cole

This book is the fourth installment in the Red Cage Series. This is my first book that I’ve read of it and it definitely stands alone. I am now going to go back to the beginning of the series to read the rest. Not because I was lost and confused, but rather because I really loved the characters and I want to read more about them. The Garza family definitely has interesting dynamics and it kept me wanting to learn more about them. I also love that this is a best friend’s brother story. I have really found myself enjoying these stories right now. I truly enjoyed learning about Tripp and Soleil and loved the development of each of them. This is definitely a steamy book and I totally recommend it!

The Golden Garza (Red Cage, #4)The Golden Garza by S. Ann Cole
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

After discovering that the life she remembers is a lie, Soleil decides to find the truth but it is not as easy as it seems. There are so many hidden players that don’t want her discovering her true origins. Deadly, powerful players that have the resources to prevent it from happening. But Soleil is quite stubborn and determined to find answers, any answers. When Soleil manages to convince Red Cage to help her, it opens an outside chamber to Pandora’s Box of secrets and death.

Tripp Garza has been secretly in love with his sister’s best friend since she was 19, at least he thought it was secretly. Apparently all of his brothers knew and have been betting on how long it would take Tripp to act on/admit his feelings. When Tripp accidently gets a taste of his forbidden fruit, he can’t stay away but doesn’t know how to be with her or how to be without her. Tripp has to battle a few of his own demons before he can slay Soleil’s.

Fan-damn-tastic!! The revelation of secrets and the pace of the book. The characters, the family, the love, the friendships are amazing. I luv that as you get updated on the characters from previous novels, they aren’t all sunshine and roses. Yes, they are still together but they are still facing challenges of everyday life together, like being together and making it work. I really hope the next book is Tillie’s because I have to know if Torin has known about her Mr. X all this time or when he found out. Looking forward to the next one!! Phenomenal series!!

This is not my first book by this author but this is one of my favorites by them. I enjoy their ability to pull me into the story with their creative writing style. I highly suggest reading previous books in this series to help your enjoyment of this author and this series. This is a well written story where a brother’s best friend cannot stand you but he is the only one that can save you. What happens in this story you will want to find out. The characters pulled me into the story from the start. They are connectable and made me feel as if I was right there in the story with them. They bring romance and suspense together for a hard to put down story. I enjoyed watching their growth as well as their chemistry throughout the story. This series just gets better and better. Tripp Garza is one hot hunk of man. Soleil has been hot for him ever since she was younger. Coming to LA for a mission to find the truth about her family, Soleil ends up on an adventure that has her life in danger and Red Cage trying to help. Oh, the suspense will have you holding your breath (didn’t even realize I was). You’ll feel all the emotions. Old favorites will make appearances throughout the story. The storyline runs smooth, even with all the drama, adventure, and plot twists. Romance will abound. These two have chemistry. They just need to admit it, will they? A wonderful read that I would give more than 5 stars if I were allowed to. An early winner for this year.

This was a fantastic character-driven story following London and True. They had a fling a year ago and are now working together at the Red Cage are they destined to be together?
This was a steamy romance that I easily devoured – highly recommended!

I am just jumping into this series but I am going to catch up! I love the banter, the humor, the steam, the characters, and everything.

London “Lonny” Bridge is a badass in her own right. She is a detective trained by the best in the world. Only she has a string of bad luck including a serial killer that became obsessed with her while London was hunting him. Shortly after the tragic loss of her partner, London was hit with the devastating loss of her father. During her grieving, Lonny had a week-long fling with a man she has never forgotten.

Trueman Garza can’t stay focused on any one thing for too long thanks to his ADHD. It has never bothered him before until he met her. Now that she has suddenly popped up back into his life, all he can do is focus on her. London is different from every other woman in his life. Is True willing to settle down with just one woman? Is London even willing to be that woman?

This book was nearly un-put-downable. I got so lost in the story. It is amazing!!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

My first time to read by this author but will be back for more! This book offers romance and longing, mystery, hot scenes, dangerous action, great relationship building and offers us flawed, real humans as characters to get in to.

London is one tough woman who can hold her own, but after a series of tragedies in Denver, hiding out in a cabin to give herself a chance to heal, a very hot week with a stranger who gave a fake name and an intervention of sorts from her family – she’s back in LA. As a highly trained and extremely competitive woman in a “man’s world”, London has learned she has to work harder, smarter, and take more risks to prove she is ahead of the game. As she comes back to join her Uncle Walter and brother in the special FBI unit, she finds she is assisting another, even more exclusive, agency in the business of protection. Red Cage is full of giant, imposing, very well trained men and now London is embedded in their business. As she learns about the job she is supposed to be doing, she finds HIM – the man who saved her from herself an entire year ago, while she was in isolation, and whom she hasn’t stopped dreaming about since.

True is “the nice brother” in Red Cage and works with several of his brothers to run the agency. He loves action in the field and women, but he also never forgot the hot stranger he spent a week with 1 year ago. We find that True has ADHD and it both makes him great at what he does, and struggle with relationships. He has spent so long being chased and pursued by any number of women that he doesn’t know how to have a relationship, or how to care about someone beyond his family – but he can’t get London out of his mind.

London and True get under each others skin, so obsessed with one another that they can’t stop what’s happening between them – no matter how hard they both try. I especially love that this book has flawed humans who then find healthy ways to heal and be strong together. While this is book 3 in the series, it was a nice standalone and I didn’t feel lost. Running off for book 1 in this series now!

THIS story is ALWAYS on my Mind!! I can’t stop thinking about it when on those rare occasions I am not reading it. It is a simply captivating storyline to me. My favorite thing is the banter and strength of the characters. I can not get enough of True and Lonny in or out of the bedroom. They are electric! I also want to smack them both upside the head more than once for their actions or reactions but they did keep me on my toes!

The characters are spicy and ON FIRE to near combustible when together! I love Lonny (her name included)! She has the best attitude and she is smart, strong, salty and sassy enough to compete with the alpha males! Her once weakness is True. True lives a lifestyle that I am not sure I understand. There might be more info in previous stories but he seems very different. The more I learn the more I love him.

Secondary characters make me more than curious about the other couple books I have missed. They all seem to have interesting lives and situations and how they mix together. I look forward to reading their stories. Tripp and Tillie I really didn’t identify with too much but we will see. Guy..now there is a man of mystery. Then there is the Castillo twins..wow! I was very interested in Lorenzo and Brook and will look for their story.

Overall this is a smart, snappy and simply fascinating story! The growth and work these characters put in makes it a joy to read. The last few chapters plus the epilogue with True are very eye opening. I do not understand how this author is not once I have read before! The way the story is written is exceptionally well. It starts off on fire and really it only gets hotter as the story rolls along.

I would love this on audio!

First thing first, I did not read the previous books in this series. That being said, this book can be read as a stand alone. You do not need to read the previous books in order to understand what is going on in this book. However, after reading this book you will want to go back and read the other two in the series. That is what I am currently doing. Now, let’s get into the meat and potatoes of this book. It is a really fast read!!! You will fall in love with the characters because of how the author us able to put feelings and actions to words written. I am a strong believer that, “If a book can make you feel what the characters are, it was written amazingly.” This book did not disappoint on that level. This book not only has all the steam you could ever possibly want but it also has mystery. You not only get to experience the quick whit of the female lead but you also get to see the strength of the male lead. Together they are an unstoppable team. You will keep turning the pages to see what is going to happen next or to even just feel the chemistry the two main characters have. It is definitely a book that will make you not quit reading until it is done. So, if you have a day where you can sit on the beach or next to the pool or even just on the couch and read, I highly recommend this book.

Holy H*ll this book was smoking hot! I was instantly captivated by True and London’s story. Lonny is a true badass and I love how she easily banters back and forth with True and holds her own. True is hot and always ready, except he can’t commit if his life depended on it. When they first meet and have a scorching fling in the woods, they both didn’t realize the impact that encounter would have on each of them. Fast forward a year and thousands of miles later, and they meet again when Lonny unknowingly starts working for True’s company. Their attraction and addiction to each other is apocalyptic. Throw in a mystery full of danger and unexpected turns, makes this 5 star book a page turner. Be prepared to be up all night reading it! I can’t wait to read the other titles in this series.

The True Garza (Red Cage, #3)The True Garza by S. Ann Cole
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The True Garza is about True, a vice president of Red Cage Security Company and London (Lonny), a former agent turned private contractor. Lonny has had a rough year with an assignment gone bad and the death of her father, so she decided to move to LA to live with her sister. However, in LA there is a hot fling she had over a year ago, in her dark time, that she can’t get out of her head, True. Well, she ends up working for his company but wasn’t aware at the beginning because when she knew him he went by a different name. Each had been pining for each other over the last year, however, the biggest problem is True is a big time playboy with commitment issues. The two of them form a really strange, sexual relationship – really an addiction to each other. However, while she is falling for him, he is a commitment phobe, so really where will this go. Will she stay? Will she leave him for a commitment? Do either of them have the willpower to leave this addiction? Only time will tell!

Let me put it this way, I want to go read the first two in the series if it is anything like this one. Where do I begin with all the things I loved about this book? One, I read it in 24 hours! Two, the main characters were amazing. They were playful, tons of banter, and amazing dom-sub smut!! However, Lonny is a badass, takes no shit, defends herself, and is an honest female lead. Granted, she has a submissive weakness for True, but doesn’t everyone have a weakness! While she is addicted to True, she is also very self-aware of that fact, but also stands her ground with him too! True, well you can feel all the angst he is going through over Lonny and I was totally there for it. This was one of my favorite types of books, a good plot with great smut!!

I won’t waste your time by giving a rundown of the whole book, but I will STRONGLY suggest that you check out this author and this book in particular. Even if you haven’t read the others in the series, it is a complete standalone. Lonny is a quick-witted, smart-mouthed, feisty little rebel and I just LOVE her character. This author is a master at setting the scene for all of your senses. You truly feel like you are experiencing the action right along with them. And, oh boy, is there some serious action and delicious smut! It took a bit longer for me to experience the “True Effect”, but it was inevitable for fall for True as well. Its the story of Garza boys and their Red Cage Security company. The business has made them all very wealthy and the dream of many women. London meets True its supposed to be a one night fling but ends up being a flaming 7 day and night steamer! Not thinking they will see each other again because True is not cut out for relationships, but when True turns up as London’s new boss it complicates things. She wants more but knows True is not cut out for that and she has baggage of her own. Will they be able to keep away from each other or will the be able to make a relationship work between the two? Another must read novel, and another new series to indulge in for this reader. London Bridge is one hardheaded leading lady, and she knows that she is willing to fight for all that she wants in life, personally and professionally. Her personality and traits swirl off the pages, and I felt as though she was justified in her feelings when it came to all that were in her circle, and was elated, sad, heartbroken, and concerned throughout the story. True, wants for nothing but everything at the same time. He craves the attention of women and has developed many different interesting traits as a sure way to obtain said attention, which I can also relate to.

This novel had a touch of action, a huge gulp of sexual tension and lust, not to mention some very hot intimate scenes, and a whole lot of yearning for the one(s) we feel we can’t harness for ourselves, and only ourselves. This author made sure to keep the reader’s attention by adding more intrigue to the whole thing via some side stories through supporting characters and I so look forward to reading more by her. I especially love that they are all standalone novels, though will make much more sense with more information regarding the other folks in the Garza and Red Cage bubble. If you are looking for a hot read to tuck into bed with at the end of the day, this one is for you!

This was an awesome read! True Garza is a player, he only interacts with women for one thing. And True has severe ADHD. London (aka Lonny) is a PI and has a bit of baggage from her past. After a horrible moment in her life she met True Garza and they had a wonderful week together, but she knew him by another name then. Now she has moved back home and doing a job for the Red Cage and run into him again. I absolutely loved the back and forth between Lonny and True. The portrayal of having ADHD and being with someone who has ADHD was very well written and hit true to home with my own experiences. Will absolutely be reading more from this author.

The True Garza (Red Cage #3) by S. Ann Cole

This is the first book I’ve read by the author. It’s also the first book in the series that I’ve read. The True Garza is a fantastic read and leaves you wanting more. It’s the third book in the Red Cage Series.

London, Lonny, is back in LA for the first time since her dad has died. The fling she had in Denver follows her home. London falls hard for Trueman but does not want to get hurt. The quote I chose for London is: “If I didn’t know any better, I’d think you were avoiding me, True Garza.”

Trueman Mateo Garza doesn’t do dates, and he doesn’t buy women things. He’s known as a womanizer. He has ADHD and can’t focus on much. That’s until London comes back into his life. The quote I chose for True is: “They know that I’m madly, truly, insanely, out-of-breath, irrevocably, inconceivably, ridiculously, unequivocally in love with you, Lonny Bridge.”

Highly recommended for Contemporary Romance lovers.

The True Garza was a very entertaining read. I enjoyed the chemistry between True and Lonny. I definitely enjoyed the parts with True more. I, unfortunately, found Lonny to be unlikeable and a hypocrite. I really can’t fathom why anyone would fall in love with her. That being said, I adored True and Lexi. I even liked Trent’s grumpy self. Some of True’s actions left me confused at first but it wasn’t difficult to catch on to why he did the things he did. The book is definitely steamy and fun. It was quite the page-turner.
