The South Seas Shenanigans: A Sparky of Bunker Hill Mystery (Sparky of Bunker Hill Mystery Series) by Rosalind Barden – Review by Samantha Cleaver

The South Seas Shenanigans: A Sparky of Bunker Hill Mystery (Sparky #4)The South Seas Shenanigans: A Sparky of Bunker Hill Mystery by Rosalind Barden
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book continues with Sparky trying to run away from her problems. This time she attempts to board a cruise ship. She overhears much gossip about one particular music director that everyone seems to detest.

This is written in the depression era and once again Barden’s descriptions are marvelous. This book has comical aspects to it as well and you’ll want to keep reading to see what happens next!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

With this being sci-fi, it is not my normal go to read. Normally it’s hard for me to keep track of everything going on. This is part of a series but I’ve only read this one. The plot and character development were written well though and I didn’t have much trouble keeping up with it. I’m glad I reached out of my comfort zone to try something new. Definitely recommend this book!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this book more than I first thought I would! Super easy read (even for a slow reader like me). Michael did a really good job writing this. It was inspirational and had some humor throughout as well. This book shows that even though we might not feel like it, we are exactly where we are supposed to be. Each obstacle and challenge in life happens for a reason and shapes us into the person we’re supposed to be.

This is must read if you have kids and are interested in getting your first family dog!

This book had so many twists and turns; I could not put it down. Elsbeth’s character was very relatable. She had multiple traumatic events happen to her in such a short span of time.

The character development was great and the story was very well written. There was an assault trigger I was not expecting, but it did help develop the story and character.
