Saving Marvel (Satan's Devils MC Second Generation Book 4)Saving Marvel by Manda Mellett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Another great Satan’s Devils read! I really loved this one. I loved bizarre and life threatening circumstances bring two people together from totally different worlds. I loved the familiar betrayal and pain shared by absolute strangers. Most of all, I loved the second chance at finding romance! Like every other book in this series, within these pages you will find rough bikers, soft hearts, tenacious loyalty, found family, unexpected romance, and non stop action. Unlike every other book in this series, you will find older MCs, deep seeded betrayal, and a new prospect from a highly unlikely introduction! This author has once again managed to spin a story that is both comforting in its familiarity as well as new and exciting. It is awesome to be reading the Satan’s Devils next generation and seeing a whole new group of MCs at the frontline, some familiar but in diapers in the other books, and still have your old favorite MCs in the background. At this point, its truly reading about family. There are references made here from other books in the series. If you have not read a Satan’s Devils MC book before this, you will most certainly be able to follow the story, but will be missing references and little Easter eggs throughout that you would have had to read the other books to pick up on. My suggestion to get the most out of the stories it to start at the beginning with Turning Wheels. Cannot wait to keep going in this amazing MC world!

Saving Marvel (Satan's Devils MC Second Generation Book 4)Saving Marvel by Manda Mellett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have read quite a few books written by Ms. Mellett and her writing just gets better with each book. I love how thorough she is with her descriptions if it’s of the club house and compound or just the people in general. The characters are strong willed with little quirks that makes them feel real. The plot was great and different which is good.
We have seen Marvel around in other books…
At 55 years old Marvel becomes a member of the Satan’s Devils MC to escape his past. He vowed to never fall in love again after he learned woman can’t be trusted. And that’s a vow he took to heart until he meets Virginia.
Virginia has been through hell the last few years so what’s being stuck in a small room with a stranger while the bank was being robbed. She doesn’t know if she can trust Marvel especially after she was traumatized by the man she loved.
While hanging in the room they talk and get to know each other and they are both surprised with how much they have in common.
Can these two overcome their past? Will Marvel be able to save Virginia? Can they mend their hearts and make them whole? Will Virginia speak up for herself or go back too being a recluse?

I’m a sucker for a long and detailed novel that pulls me in from the start, and this is that! Manda catches all of our attention from chapter one and keeps us begging for more as we get to know these two characters. Marvel is certainly older than most characters in this genre, but that doesn’t mean he lacks in sex appeal or intrigue. Both of these characters have tragic pasts that may seem impossible to move past, but I loved watching them battle their demons. Be prepared for unexpected twists, which this author is well known and loved for. I waited so long for this book, and I wasn’t disappointed. Must read!

When you make this far into the series you know you can’t help but love the characters and Marvel is no different. But can a 55 year old who has sworn to stay single his whole life really be changed? Can two people who have no reason to trust each other really make something of life together?
Marvel meets Virginia under unfortunate circumstances, the bank is being robbed and they are hiding out together. But can they really bare their souls and have a happy ever after?!?

Saving Marvel (Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation Book 4)

I couldn’t get enough of this book.  Though it’s a 2nd generation book it’s about one of the “old timers” who hung out in the background mostly until now.

Marvel was always just there but with his comments about the old ladies when one of his brothers fell hinted at a story and what a story he had to tell.

Virginia had a story that most people couldn’t even imagine.   The pieces she was left to pick up because of her Ex was more than most people could have handled. She tried to put it behind her but others would not allow that to happen.

I loved the main characters in this.  Most books in this genre are my kids age, it was nice to find a book about people close to my age getting their second chance with love.

Another great book in this amazing series.   I find it amazing that this author has been able to write these amazing books one after another. Can’t wait to see who is next.

Saving Marvel (Satan's Devils MC Second Generation Book 4)Saving Marvel by Manda Mellett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Marvel is a member of the Satan’s Devils MC and has been for many years now, he is a part of the furniture and loves his brothers more than anything, they have been there for him, but he has always kept to the side lines, but in all that time, as he has watched them pairing up, he has never wanted the same thing. Virginia Case is a woman with a history, she was happily married, had a career she loved and friends and family whom she was close to, that was until her life was ripped apart at the seems when she was betrayed by the person she was closest to, her husband and the way in which he did it was too horrible for words.

Now both of them are in the same locale when something kicks off and turns into a major incident which throws them, two complete strangers, into each others company for the time it takes for the incident to be managed. It is stressful for both of them, but they connect in a way that surprises them both. As they listen to the events happening outside of their little bubble, the two talk and relive pasts which they both want to forget, Virginia with her experiences with her ex-husband and Marvel who learned the hard way that women can’t be trusted thanks to a betrayal of his own. As they both open up to the other, neither of them expects the conversation to be suddenly halted with no kind of closure for them, or even the chance to say goodbye when the authorities take charge, however, this isn’t the end of their troubles, it is only the beginning.

The next day, the news outlets are all reporting about the incident and it is then that Marvel sees that Virginia is being hounded outside her own home and makes the decision to go and help her out, even though he can’t for the life of him figure out why and when he turns up on her doorstep and offers her a safe space to escape to, she accepts, much to her own amazements as well. As they try and come up with solutions to their differing issues, they become closer, but will these two broken souls be able to mend the other, or will it all come crashing down around them like it did in the past? This is an MC romance with a tenderness throughout which will surprise and suck in even the most hardened of hearts, as the suspense keeps you hooked throughout while emotions run high and both the present and future are in doubt until you reach the end of the story and the rollercoaster ride comes to an end.

Marvel and Virginia’s story will pull you in from the very beginning. They both find themselves in a very scary situation that they are not sure that they will make it out of. This situation has them opening up to each other about their pasts since their futures are uncertain. They talk about how they have been burned in the past and don’t see a happily ever after in their plans. After everything, they go their separate way without planning on seeing each other again.

The next time Marvel comes to Virginia’s rescue, he finds himself on the receiving end of the MC’s taunting for having a woman when he swore to never have one. After the threat has passed, and Virginia is ready to move forward, Marvel shuts down any chance at a future with Virginia. However, when he comes to the realization that he may want something with her…it just might be too late. This time, danger is waiting for her and Marvel may not make it in time.

I LOVE the entire Satan’s Devil’s series. I have read every book since the first one and this crazy cast of characters feels like they are friends. I enjoyed this story and look forward to whatever comes next!

Marvel is quite the character. Very gruff and doesn’t trust any woman. He teases the other members relentlessly for having an old lady. I like his attitude and you learn all about why he is the way he is. Virginia is a woman who has been through hell and then some. I couldn’t even begin to imagine how I’d deal with her situation. Marvel and Virginia meet at a very unlikely place and in a scary situation. This book will keep you reading long into the night. This author never ever disappoints.

Saving Marvel (Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation #4) by Manda Mellett

Another great read by the author. Saving Marvel is the fourth book in the Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation Series. Cash, Marvel, is going to get the shock of his lifetime.

Cash, aka Marvel, is at the bank when all hell breaks loose. He and the MC aren’t behind it, but now he’s stuck as a hostage. Sneaking into the Loan department he finds he’s not alone. The quote I chose for Marvel is: “I nearly got married once.”He glances sideways, then seems to find a mark on the floor more interesting and focuses on that. “In some ways, it was a blessing we hadn’t tied the knot, in others…. In others, it was a f***ing disaster. But we didn’t.”

Virginia is at the bank hoping to get a loan. She needs a new car, but it seems like life wants to throw her a new man. Being held hostage is not the way she planned on spending her day. The quote I chose for Virginia is: “My name is Virginia Case. Formerly Virginia Case-Roberts. Google me.”

Highly recommended for MC Romance lovers.

Saving Marvel (Satan's Devils MC Second Generation Book 4)Saving Marvel by Manda Mellett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Saving Marvel is Book Four of the Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation. Marvel has found his place amongst the Satan’s Devils MC and cannot imagine his life without his close-knit biker family. Running from his past, Marvel has kept a closely guarded secret from those around him for nearly thirty years. He has no interest in settling down or raising a family and is the first to berate any of the club members who dare to do so. Marvel is quick to insult, belittle and humiliate any member of his club that chooses to tie himself down to a woman. He has nothing nice to say about women or about how untrustworthy they are and how the relationship will never work. After being jaded from a past relationship Marvel is bitter and trusts no woman. Not even a wife or girlfriend of one of his club members can get close to him and they find him rude and hostile towards them. Marvel is content to remain single and does not want or need love complicating his life.

Virginia was married for nearly twenty years to a man who she thought was the man of her dreams. He was, for all outward appearances, hard working, loving, honest and kind. Then suddenly, Virginia’s world was shattered when she discovers the horrific truth about the true monster that her husband was and what he did. She is traumatized by the actions of her husband and unable to receive closure or move forward in her life. Haunted by his actions she chooses to become a recluse because she is unable to face the world. After such a traumatic chain of events Virginia has no desire to be in a relationship and does not trust men.

Neither Virginia nor Marvel expects their two worlds to collide when each chooses to make a routine trip to the bank. Fate has other plans for them as they find themselves in the middle of an armed bank robbery. Virginia and Marvel find themselves trapped under a desk together in a small room of the bank where they are each hiding out from the bank robbers. To pass the time they make small talk and before long find themselves sharing their deepest, darkest secrets with one another. Virginia and Marvel find it easy to bare their souls to each other which they brush off as being due to the circumstances. Either they will not make it out of the bank alive or they will walk away and never see each other again. However, fate intervenes and has other plans for them.

I cannot begin to say how much I loved this book and this author! The strong character development of both Marvel and Virginia left me in awe as they each had so many complex layers to their personalities. Marvel comes across as being gruff, hostile and a total woman hater but once you learn about his past you cannot help but feel empathetic towards him. Learning about what happened with his ex-girlfriend enables the reader to see how deeply hurt Marvel was and why he put up walls around his heart. Virginia was traumatized so deeply by the actions of her ex-husband that she is unable to face the world outside of her home. She blames herself for not being able to see him for the monster he is and becomes sick to her stomach at the thought of what he did. The pain and scars of her past leaves her scared to be touched by a man, something that no amount of therapy seems to be able to help her overcome. Both Virginia and Marvel are two deeply hurt souls who feel hurt and rejected by their exes and unable to let go of the pain of their past. Yet they somehow find their way to each other and find that the demons of their past are what draws them together forming an unbreakable bond between them. I highly recommend this book!

This series never disappoints. Each couple brings new life and and a new experience to the MC and the series. Marvel and Virginia tell a story that few can understand.
Despite Marvels lifestyle he is a good man who is a bit intense by loyal. Betrayed more than once he is distrust of women and relationships. Sweet Virginia is a woman who has gone through too much too many times and she lacked faith and trust due to bad choices one too many times. Marvel and Virginia are both broken souls going through life but not truly living. When they finally come together they find a home within each other. This story is an emotional and heartfelt journey where you feel their angst, fear, and desire all at once. This story hits every mark and stays with you long after the end.

Saving Marvel (Satan's Devils MC Second Generation Book 4)Saving Marvel by Manda Mellett

I was so delightfully surprised by this unique and heartwarming story. The fourth in the Second Generation series tells the story of Marvel, an older member of the Satan’s Devils Motorcycle Club, who’s been burned in the past and isn’t looking for love. That is until he crosses paths with Virginia Case during a bank robbery. Certainly not the typical meet-cute. Virginia has her own dark past that is preventing her from seeking love as well. The two have undeniable chemistry but between their own traumas and outside forces it seems likely the pair will end up being nothing more than friends. It is only through the support of the motorcycle club brothers that they are able to find the romance they deserve.
I loved having two older MCs that had detailed and well-thought-out backgrounds. Marvel was a wonderful male lead with undeniable power and fierce loyalty. Virginia was more level-headed and wise than some romance heroines. The twists and turns of their story kept me turning the pages and wanted to see this story through to the end. Although this is not a book I would recommend reading without reading the other books in the series, it was still an amazing love story that made me smile, laugh, and cry.

This author has become one of my favorites in the last year after stumbling across her. I love her MC stories, the grittiness, the real emotions, the ups and downs in the stories.
This is the story of Marvel and Virginia. Their relationship is forged during a bank robbery they were both unfortunate to be caught in the middle of. Feeling safe to share their secrets as they would never see each other again, right, or would this forge a relationship that they can’t avoid? Can they each learn to trust the opposite sex again? Another amazing story by this author with great main characters and a supporting cast that I just love to catch up with again.

One of my favorite things about this is that this is an older couple. That they both have wrinkles and some life behind them. My second favorite is the meet-cute! So great! I am not sure I have read of a meeting taking place in this kind of a high stress situation before. Thirdly is the joy that the Devils get out of razzing Marvel for his indecision made me laugh! Especially Blade! Lastly I liked seeing all the club members and their old ladys plus kids/grandkids throughout the story. I am pleased to say that I have been looking more to Wiz as the prez instead of always Drummer. That took me four books.

This also covers a difficult subject with Miss Virginia and I can completely see how she could and would be affected. I understood her and felt her embarrassment/doubts. I enjoyed how she grew and became stronger as the story moved along. I am glad that Marvel finally got his story. I like how he knew he wasn’t a spring chicken anymore but he still can offer something. He is known as the grump-asaurus (in other terms) around the club. Yet he still had that kind heart to help her out.

Overall its another wonderful addition to the series. I always look forward to these since I never know what this author will come up with for these characters.

This is the first book I have read by Manda Mellett and I will absolutely be putting her on my list of authors to go back and read more books from.

Marvel and Virginia meet during a bank robbery where they end up talking for hours hidden in a room waiting for the cops to diffuse the situation. They open up to each other about the event that changes their life. Virginia seems to be a b ad luck magnet and Marvel cant resist to be her knight and shining armor. The big question is if they can both overcome their past to trust one another and build a future together. 100% would recommend.

I love this series. I loved the first generation. I am adoring this second generation. This chapter in the series has us finding out about Marvel. Marvel is a great brother but kind of a jerk. He never told anyone what happened to him, what turned him into a cynic. A chance meeting with a woman, Virginia, in the bank Marvel finds himself stuck in during a robbery turns into a kinship of sorts. When Virginia’s safety is put at risk because of her ex, Marvel finds himself wanting to protect her.

One thing this author manages to do is include characters from both generations seamlessly. Everyone flows and works together. The strong female characters, their sisterhood, and the love for their men make me wish I was someone’s old lady in this club. I am along for the ride until the bitter end!!

This is Marvel and Virginia’s story. The way they meet is definitely unconventional. Most probably serendipity had a hand in this encounter. They meet during a bank heist. Wrong place, wrong time? In this case it is probably right place, right time. During their time together, they form a bond while revealing their deepest secrets. Was it because neither thought they would live to see another day? Who knows but a connection was formed. Because of Virginia’s infamous past, Marvel feels the need to step in and protect her from the media hounds not realizing that there is a very lethal threat against her. Can Marvel protect Virginia and his heart at the same time?

Every book that I have read in the Satan’s Devils series I have loved. Each story is unique and well thought out. I appreciate that the author doesn’t limit her love stories to the young and beautiful. Her books cover the older generation as well as in this book. This one is definitely worth reading.

I like how the is a good balance of action, drama, and romance. The books are also not predictable so they really grab the reader and hook you till the end.

I really like how the characters personalities are complimentary and they are like opposites. As we all know opposites attract. I also like how the romances are not straight forward and have complexity and depth. I will definitely be reading more from this author in future.

Saving Marvel is the fourth book in the Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation series by Manda Mellett. As I have mentioned before, I have read all the Satan’s Devils books from the original series, right through to this second generation- and have enjoyed them all. This is a contemporary MC romance story, and is full of sexy bikers, danger, comradery, brotherhood, action, drama, suspense, tension, two broken souls, banter, dramatic developments, gripping storyline, heartache, endearing characters, chemistry, emotion, and finding love unexpectedly.
This is Marvel and Virginia’s story. These two characters were so easy to like and invest in. They are thrust together unexpectedly- and have quite the story to tell. Ms. Mellett has delivered another story that has dug it’s way under my skin and left a permanent impression.

Thank you, Manda Mellett!

Marvel has always been the one who has never wanted to settle down, from his past he has been closed off to love, until one day in walks the women who broke his heart years ago.

Virginia has locked herself away from the world, but when she does finally decides to re-join the world she is delved into a trouble yet again but only Marvel can help her through the maze of the threat.

As they are both kindred spirits can they find a way to move through there past to start a fresh in the present.

This is the fourth book in this series and follows the lives of Marvel and Virginia, I loved the chemistry between these two characters and that they are a little broken always makes goof reading and a more interesting book. The story was well written and with the twists and turn held your interest in the story for the last word. I always love the grittiness of Manda’s stories and the way the stories unfold is brilliant to read and enjoy.

This leads on from the other stories in this series but can be read as a stand alone book in it’s own right but to get a true understanding of the group and the misfit family they have created I would recommend reading the other book in the series and hell the whole catalogue of this wonderful storyteller.

Can’t wait for the next instalment in this wonderful series.

Saving Marvel (Satan's Devils MC Second Generation Book 4)Saving Marvel by Manda Mellett
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book is book four of the series. Due to some content, it may not be suitable for young readers.

Marvel loves the mismatched family the Mac created. While he is part of this family, he’s not quite the same. Everyone around his is building their family but Marvel doesn’t feel that same pull. His world was torn apart once and he’ll never give a woman the power to do that again. Virginia didn’t see the betrayal coming and didn’t expect to be blamed for something she had no part in. After hiding out to avoid the world, she never expected Marvel. Can two people who’ve been broken and betrayed, fix each other?

I really enjoyed this book. I’ve enjoyed every book I’ve read by this author. It just gets better and better! I loved the characters! Marvel wanted nothing to do with any woman and it was nice seeing how meeting the right one can change things. It was a good read!
