This is book one in the series and it’s off to a great start. I’m immediately drawn to Teddy and his wrongful imprisonment. He’s off to a new start on his family’s farm and rekindles a steamy romance with his first love. This book is about second chances, love and redemption. Fletcher did a wonderful job in creating characters you love and some you hate. Besides the romance, the drama and plot had me turning the page to see what would happen! I look forward to book two and beyond!

Craig Turner and Rachel Diaz have come together again when Craig returns to help bury her father and his beloved coach. They had an intense romance in high school and thought they would be together for the long haul. With Rachel being a few years younger than Craig, she was left heartbroken when he graduated and went off to college. Maybe her father was being an overprotective father, but Coach Diaz forbade them from seeing one another and made them promise to keep their distance. The attraction and feelings couldn’t be ignored though. Now 10 years has passed and those intense feelings are coming back to life. They had kept their promise to Coach while he was alive and they are trying their hardest to keep that promise now that he is gone. Will they be able to build a friendship or will they cross that line and become something more?
I love second chance romances! These two were great together and I’m glad I picked up this book. Not only was this a second chance at romance, but it was a renewing of old friendships that was nice to read about. When we get busy living life we can tend to lose touch with those we were close with during our school days. Sparking up those old friendships and being able to pick up where you left off no matter how much time has passed is amazing.

Gage Westbrook is a broken man who has moved to a new town looking for a fresh start. When he is thrown into his cousin Mace’s group known as The Crew, the last thing he expected was to meet someone who could potentially make him whole again. Lily McMillan is a woman who had her heart ripped out and stomped on by the man who she thought would be her forever. When she lays eyes on her good friend Mace’s cousin she wasn’t expecting to feel an intense connection. Will these two be able to put together their broken pieces or is their relationship doomed before it even starts?
I liked the flow of this book and the relationship between the best friends. It captured what I have always thought best friend should be. The author did a great job and I look forward to the next book in the series.

Things were never supposed to happen between Fitz and Cadence, but they couldn’t deny their chemistry. Cadence is helping her family run their summer camp for children gifted in the arts. There was something about him that drew her like a moth to a flame and she couldn’t keep herself from falling for this bad boy. Will the end of summer bring happiness or heartache?
Fitz had gotten himself into a bit of trouble and was sent to the summer camp run by the Riley’s to make up for his bad behavior. When he first saw Cadence he didn’t think he would fall for her. He figured that the next three months at Camp Riley would be boring and didn’t think he would end up getting attached to someone as good and innocent as Cadence. Falling for Cadence is easy, but how will he say good-bye when it is time?

He’s a broken man searching through the past for answers. She’s his childhood best friend he had no idea he was in love with.
Thomas Capshaw never thought he’d put his dreams of being a sketch artist on the back burner and end up working in New York City far from home. The very last thing he expects is the inheritance of his famous grandfather’s beach cottage on the sandy shores of Florida where he spent his childhood summers.
Emeline Fischer is an aspiring artist trying to make ends meet, working an assortment of odd jobs while painting her dreams on canvas in hopes of landing her own gallery show someday. When she is Thomas’s waitress during her shift at the local beach diner, she immediately recognizes her sensitive childhood friend who promised long ago to protect her from her unstable home life when they were teens.
The two friends take a journey into their past through a box of photos left behind at Cap Cottage and rediscover their mutual passion for art – and each other. Thomas doesn’t plan to fall in love with Emmy – but maybe he’s always been in love with her. Can he forgive himself for his past mistakes and start over in the only place that ever felt like home? Or will his guilt and the demands of his cutthroat, big-city career prevent him from following his heart and reuniting with the only woman he ever truly loved?

This was a gripping and sweet second chance romance novel from Michelle Sullivan. I have read some of her other novels before but this one stands out as my favorite so far. I recommend grabbing your favorite cup of coffee or tea, eh maybe a glass of wine, and curling up with this little gem. If you are anything like me you will want to read this in one fell swoop.
Karalyn and Dez, I adored these two, these two were not hard to fall in love with. I wasn’t so sure at first, things seemed a bit too perfect. Then the perfect balance of realism hit them and they were forced to face it. Spending seventeen years a part may very well make the idea of seeking any kind relationship, friend or more, terrifying all together. When they are thrust back into each other’s lives though they are forced to face it. What will happen when all of the past comes rushing back? Will it destroy any shot at a second chance for them? Or can they find the will to push through all the feelings and hurt to have that future together they always dreamed of?
