Second Chance (The Flowers In December Trilogy, book 3) by Jane Suen – Review by Carrie Reed

5 Stars!

I have loved every book I have read by Jane Suen. They are not my usual genre but for some reason I get pulled right in.
This was such a sweet book watching Mary Ann and Connor find their way back to each other. I enjoyed reading the character of Mary Ann, she is a strong yet because of a rough past with her stepdad she doesn’t trust very easily. Connor kind of irked me at some points, and I had trouble deciding if I really wanted Mary Ann to be with him again.
I love a good second chance romance, so this story was great for me, and I would highly recommend this book, and every book by Jane Suen really. This book can be read as a standalone but I would recommend reading the others in the series.

Second Chance by Jane Suen is the third and final book in the The Flowers in December Trilogy. This can be read as a standalone but I think better enjoyed if read with the other two books. Connor and Mary Ann had parted ways but Connor is back in town. Will Mary Ann allow Connor back into her life. This is a happily ever after but the two have to go over some obstacles to get there. This is a sweet small town romance which will have you rooting for the couple to find their path together. I enjoyed the characters and the progression of their story over the course of the series. I look forward to reading more from Jane Suen in the future.

I think this was a wonderful finale to this series. The growth and changes that Connor makes throughout these books is remarkable. Throughout all the flashbacks, we get to know Mary Ann more, which was nice. These books take place around Christmas time so it was a fun time of the year to read them. If you’re looking for an easy to read romance that can be read in one sitting, then this is for you.

Second Chance is the third and final instalment in the Flowers in December trilogy by Jane Suen. I really enjoyed the first two books, so I was really happy to find that the third book had arrived. It is everything I could have hoped for as the conclusion to Connor’s story. A lot has happened since we met him back in book one.
This sweet story is all about second chances- with a very realistic and believable storyline. Ms. Suen definitely saved the best till last, as this is my favourite of the three books, for sure.
Even though you could read this story as a standalone, I really recommend reading the first two books before beginning on this one- as all the backstory and other relevant information is contained in those books.
As with the other two books, Ms. Suen had me hooked quite quickly and kept me engaged the whole way through. It is a short story, which makes for a quick and easy read. For such a short story, it definitely leaves an impression.
Looking forward to what ever Ms. Suen decides to do next!

Thank you, Ms. Suen!

Second Chance: The Conclusion of the Flowers in December Trilogy by Jane Suen. I honestly didn’t want this to end. The author has truly created a masterpiece of words. Each books has captured me completely and this one was no different. The author knows how to put emotions into words that can capture the hearts of readers. I truly felt for these characters and rooted for them. Each character brings something unique to the storyline. It’s a well thought out story and it’s paced nicely. It may be a smaller size book but it doesn’t hold back any. Five stars all the way.

Second Chance is the conclusion to the Flowers in December series. After Coming Home, I thought we wouldn’t get the chance to see Connor and Mary Ann find their way back to one another. It was an emotional and heartbreaking but sweet story that I have been hoping for since I first read this series. Jane Suen’s words prove that no matter what life throws at you, love will always find a way to win. I highly recommended this series to any who believes in Second Chances.

Second Chance: The Conclusion of the Flowers in December Trilogy by Jane Suen was a good read. Connor and Mary Ann have had their share of heartache and confusion. Now that Connor has decided to quit his job and leave the big city will he and Mary Ann be able to pick up where they left off or is to late for them to have a happy ending. I enjoyed reading about this couple and the obstacles they were faced with. What will happen when they are face to face again after so many months of silence. Mary Ann is one of my favorite characters. She’s just the average down to earth, hard working girl just looking for love. You won’t be disappointed reading this trilogy

Second Chance by Jane Suen is the conclusion of the Flowers in December trilogy. This is wonderful conclusion to the story we have followed through the previous two books.
It has definitely been up and down for Tom and Mary Ann, to the point where I wasn’t sure if they would end up together or if I even wanted them to. However the author has done such a great job of tying everything up and creating an ending the completely fits the story and the characters.
This has been a great journey to go on with them and, although I am sad to see it end, I like how the author achieved it. This has been a very good trilogy and one that I have thoroughly enjoyed.

Everyone loves a second chance story. Those stories that take you back to a time that seemed like nothing could go wrong. Book 3 was the perfect completion to this trilogy. Connor and Mary Ann are perfect for each other. I love sweet stories that make you feel mushy on the inside. I really like this author. This was the perfect read for me during this holiday season. It gave me a little hope that no matter the situation something amazing could come out if it. I’m not an animal person so I could do without the cat. The author gas a very pleasant writing style. It’s not bunched together giving you too much but just enough to keep your interest. Anyone that can make you smile just from the thought if them has my stamp of approval. I will be holding out for my second chance. You shouldn’t wallow and most definitely not settle.

5 ++++++ STARS

Many many thank yous to this author for giving us this book. I loved the first 2 but was a bit sad with then end of the 2nd. I had no idea this one was coming and I was so happy when I saw it. This had to be one of the best book 3’s of a trilogy yet, I’m thinking because I wanted it so much!

I was a bit concerned with the going back in time here and there through memories but found that it gave me a better understanding of who Mary Ann was. I loved the small town and this whole story felt so real, along with all the other feels you get from reading this last book in what is a wonderful series. I can’t wait to read it again back to back now that I have all three. 🙂

Jane Suen is an absolute must read, one click author for me, she continues to surprise me and you dont ever get predictable with her writing.

Thank you again Miss Suen for the rest of the story and I’ll be waiting patiently for what you come up with next!

Loved it!

5 out of 5 stars

The story Second Chance (The Flowers in December Trilogy, book 3) by Jane Suen takes you on an emotional journey that doesn’t end until the final page. It pulled me in from the beginning and I found my emotions going up and down the entire time I was reading it. I love the characters of Mary Ann and Connor Norton. Connor thinks that he has lost Mary Ann. Can Connor win her back? Read this book to find out. This is the third story in the series, and I loved it just as much as the first two. I couldn’t help but root for Connor and Mary Ann to find happiness together. I enjoyed that the story takes place in a small town and residents look out for one another. There are a few other characters that are introduced. I enjoyed reading about their interactions with Connor and Mary Ann. Don’t miss out on a story that will tug at your heart and give you the “feels.” I highly recommend reading it.

Will Mary Ann and Connor get their second chance at love? This is an emotional roller coaster you don’t want to miss. I highly recommend this book.

But I don’t.
I’ve got money, women, and the fans endless adoration.
But none of it’s enough.

I have one distraction, and I can’t forget her.
I shattered all our dreams, when
I walked away from our world,
to conquer the music world.

But now, I’ve got one fantasy,
One wish,
One desire.
Lauren.

And she wants nothing to do with me.
Those broken pieces I crushed,
she doesn’t want mended.
But when a cruel twist of fate puts her back in my arms,
I’m not letting go.

He was everything,
everything I ever wanted and needed.

When he walked away, he took a piece of me with him,
a shard of pain that I never thought would heal.
But I worked hard, and piece by agonising piece, I almost rebuilt my life.

Now, he’s back and wants only one thing.
Me.
He wants my forever.
Something I can’t promise.
I won’t give in, I can’t cling to the past.

This time, there’s more on the line, even more than my shattered heart at stake.
And forever isn’t really that long anyway.
