Spicetopia Boxed Set (Books #1-4)Spicetopia Boxed Set by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Spicetopia Boxed Set by Phoebe Alexander is books 1-4 in the Spicetopia series. This is a fantastic series that I cannot recommend highly enough. Each and every book is amazing in its own right. They are interesting and well written with some utterly brilliant characters it them. Each book is distinctive and well written and I would honestly struggle to pick a favourite between them.
Phoebe Alexander is one of those authors who has firmly cemented herself as one of my favourite authors. There isn’t anything I have read so far that I haven’t absolutely loved and this series is the perfect example as to why! If you buy no other book this year I would fully advise you pick up this series today!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Dating Itinerary by Brooke Williams is a fun cotemporary romance that is entertaining from start to finish. The whole book is funny and engaging, with brilliant characters. I was instantly drawn into the story and loved following Penny and Geo on the journey they were taking.
I really enjoyed the whole feel this book had to it. Right from the start the author knew what she wanted to achieve from this book and it felt so well executed that you couldn’t help but fall right into it. The book was well written and the characters were just amazing. They had such a great connection, you could really feel the chemistry between them. I thoroughly enjoyed this book from beginning to end and would highly recommend it.

This was a great romantic comedy with a fiesty  female lead. The characters are well written and very captivating.

That Incredible Kiss (Kissed By Fate 3) By Tamara Ferguson – Review by Karyn Taylor

THAT INCREDIBLE KISS (Kissed By Fate Book 3)THAT INCREDIBLE KISS by Tamara Ferguson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

That Incredible Kiss is the third book in the Kissed By Fate series by Tamara Ferguson. Each book in the series can be read as a standalone and contains a complete story. I have read the 2 previous books in the series and many of the Wounded Warrior books, all of which are set in the town of Crystal Rock and have become a huge fan of her work.
I love Tamara Ferguson’s style of writing and have loved every book of hers that I have read and That Incredible Kiss was no different in that I absolutely loved it. It’s always great to be back visiting Crystal Rock and the Dragonfly Pointe Inn. There have been so many amazing characters come from these stories and I loved reading about 2 new characters Ashley and Brian.
That Incredible Kiss is a fantastic second chance romance. Brian and Ashley got together at the very end of high school but then were forced apart. Now it’s 10 years later and they are both back in Crystal Rock.
I loved reading Ashley and Brian’s story. As with all the books set in Crystal Rock, there is so much more going on than just the romance story and there is a great storyline going on along with the romance between Brian and Ashley. Like the other books by Tamara Ferguson that I have read, I was totally hooked on this book from the very beginning and did not want to put it down.
100% recommend!

Hero High: Heartbreak Rebellion (Hero High Collections Book 2) by Mina Chara – Review by Jennifer Gordon

Heartbreak Rebellion (Hero High, #4)Heartbreak Rebellion by Mina Chara
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This Boxset of three books continues on from ‘Hero High, Collections Book 1, Figure In The Flames’ and we are back in the world of Icon City and with out feisty heroine Friday Fitzsimmons. The prologue at the beginning gives a recap of what happened to the world and how Icon City came about, which is also useful for new readers to the series. In Icon City power and fame are everything above integrity which Friday finds difficult. Friday must decide whether to go for the celebrity stardom which is within her grasp or follow her conscious as crime and corruption spreads throughout Icon City. The Hero Channel control every aspect of Friday’s life from the clothes she wears to who she will date, but when she uncovers the secret behind Hero TV and it’s connection to the Icon City jail she must choose which path to take. Torn between her feelings for the villainous Doctor Dangerous and Luke, a new team member Friday must use her supernatural abilities to save the school she loves and stop the Heartbreak Rebellion.
I have enjoyed this fast paced romantic/urban fantasy series so far and was not disappointed by this collection of three books. I liked being able to ‘binge read’ them one after the other which made me feel completely immersed in Icon City. I love the main character’s, both the hero’s/heroines and the villains as they all add to the story. I particularly like Friday, who really brings the whole series together and I find myself rooting for her throughout each book. The plot has plenty of action in it which had me gripped from beginning to end and I enjoyed being back with Friday in Icon City. The City really comes alive thanks to the authors wonderful world building. Escapism in a book, perfect for YA and adults alike.

THAT UNEXPECTED KISS (Kissed By Fate Book 2)
By Tamara Ferguson
5 out of 5 stars

I loved reading the book THAT UNEXPECTED KISS (Kissed By Fate Book 2) by Tamara Ferguson. It is a romance book that has both sweet and steamy moments. There is also some suspense and mystery. I love the characters of Julie Thompson and Dylan Nash. Julie is a wonderful special education teacher who is also smart and independent. She has come back to Crystal Rock and is planning to stay. She then sees Dylan. Dylan is an FBI agent that is on a mission to find out who killed his father. He also has always had an attraction/feeling for Julie. What does the future hold for Julie and Dylan? While searching for justice, will Dylan be able to keep Julie safe from harm? Read this book to find out. This is a story that has scenes that are romantic and ones that touched my heart. I grew to care about what happens to Julie and Dylan with each chapter that I read. They had been introduced in book one of the series and I am glad that they got the own story. I also enjoyed reading about many of the additional characters that are helpful to Dylan and Julie. Crystal Rock is a place I have fallen in love with. Don’t miss out on a wonderful love story that you won’t want to put down until the final page. I highly recommend reading it.

5 out of 5 stars

I loved reading the book THAT UNFORGETTABLE KISS (Kissed By Fate Book 1) by Tamara Ferguson. It is a wonderful romance book that had me hooked from the very beginning. I love the characters of Katie Callahan and Michael Murphy. Katie is a young woman who has always known that she will run the family business. She is smart, independent, and strong. She is surprised at the feelings that she has for Michael. Michael is a young man who has also had his future mapped out for himself. Then he meets Katie. Can a kiss be so unforgettable that even after time has passed the feelings that it brought out are still felt? What does the future hold for Michael and Katie? Read this book to find out. This story has not only romantic moments but also suspenseful moments when I wondered what would happen next. I grew to care about Michael and Katie with each chapter that I read. Pharaoh’s Forgery (Karina Cardinal Mysteries Book 4) by Ellen Butler – Review by Angela Hayes

Pharaoh's Forgery (Karina Cardinal Mystery Book 4)Pharaoh’s Forgery by Ellen Butler
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 Stars

Pharaoh’s Forgery is the fourth book in the Karina Cardinal Mystery series by Ellen Butler. WOW, this series just seems to get better with each new instalment- this is definitely one of my top two picks of the series, so far.
I love a riveting mystery- something Ms. Butler does incredibly well. I love that her stories always keep me wondering what will happen next- and expecting danger with every turn of the page. Her books are always full of suspense, drama, danger, intrigue, tension, action, and even a little adventure.
Her books are a definite ‘one-click’-no-questions-asked…. I don’t even have to read the burb because I just know I am going to love it. As expected, this story definitely didn’t disappoint.
Even though this is the fourth book in the series, it could be read as a standalone- without feeling like you are lost or missing anything. But having said that, I really do recommend reading the previous three books first, because not only would you be denying yourself some really great stories- there are some recurring characters that appear in each instalment, so having the character introductions/details, backstories, and other interesting information would really enhance your overall reading experience.
Karina Cardinal (K.C) has been through quite a lot recently and is in dire need of a vacation. She’s really looking forward to cocktails, blue skies, and the sunny beaches of Cancun- and having her sister with her for a girls get-away. But you know what they say about the best laid plans- as she discovers when her sister breaks a leg and has to cancel. Now it looks like K.C will be holidaying alone- until good friend and co-worker Rodrigo steps in to ensure she doesn’t have to cancel or go alone. But, if you have been following the series, you know that nothing is ever quite that simple and that K.C seems to attract trouble to her like a magnet- so, what should have been a simple favour for her elderly neighbour, turns quite dangerous- with K.C and Rodrigo caught in the middle. Their ‘adventures’ made for quite a gripping and engrossing read!
I can’t wait for more Karina Cardinal mysteries!

Thank you, Ms. Butler!

Rock Star on the Verge (Rogue Series #9)Rock Star on the Verge by Lara Ward Cosio
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Rock Star on the Verge (Rogue #9) by Lara Ward Cosio was a great 5 star read.
I was pulled in right from the beginning, love me some rock star reads and this one didn’t disappoint.

This is Conor’s story. He just had a big birthday and is dealing with the loss of his father. When the band starts discussing a new album he’s not quite sure if he’s ready for that yet.
He ends up going on a road trip with his godson Donal, who was also having some life issues himself. The relationship that these two build on their journey really tugs at your heart strings.

Will Conor and Donal find what they are looking for during their journey?

Overall this was a great read about finding yourself again. The author does a great job with her writing and pulls you right in. I would love to see more from the characters. And I can’t wait to see what direction the author goes now. It can be read as a stand alone but suggest reading from the beginning. 1-click and get started today on this great read.

Love On The Ropes (Love In Action Book 1) by Aviva Vaughn – Review by Angela Hayes

Love On The Ropes (Love in Action, #1)Love On The Ropes by Aviva Vaughn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Love On the Ropes is the first book in the new Love in Action series by Aviva Vaughn. This book is a slow-burn, contemporary office romcom that’s set within the unpredictable world of radio.
I love Ms. Vaughn’s previous work, so there was no question that I would be reading this book. So, I happily one-clicked and jumped right in.
I loved meeting Clint and Erin and enjoyed the ‘frenemies’ dynamic between the two. Clint being a former Top Gun pilot, turned popular radio host really gave this story an extra element of intrigue. Then add Erin to the mix- and the story ignited.
This is a fantastic start to a new series- and I can’t wait to see where we go from here!

Thank you, Aviva Vaughn!

Self Made (Freshwater Book 2)Self Made by Belinda Williams
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Self Made is the superb second instalment in the Freshwater series by Belinda Williams. It was such a fun read- with just the right amount of tension, drama, and spice to keep my interest elevated.
As with the first book, it is a contemporary romance- with endearing, relatable, and interesting characters- and a wonderful and fun storyline.
Having read the first book and enjoyed it a lot- I was really happy to dive into Self Made. This is Jessica and Ant’s story, meeting both as support characters back in book one. I was quite intrigued by them in the first instalment in this series- so it was great that they got their own book. Their story kept me entertained from beginning to end- And I love the humour, emotion, tension, and chemistry that Ms. William’s instils into each of her stories- it really makes for a wonderful read.

Thank you, Belinda Williams!

The Patience of Karma is the fifth intense instalment in the Madeline Dawkins series by the incredibly talented Cynthia Hamilton. I adore this series- and find myself excitedly awaiting the release of each new addition- anticipating what Maddie and Mike will encounter ‘this’ time. And with every book I wonder just how much Maddie and Mike can take, as Ms Hamilton tests them, thoroughly, each and every time.
Cynthia Hamilton definitely doesn’t disappoint with this book- delivering an edge of your seat mystery that had all the dramatic developments, emotive qualities, and surprising twists that I have come to expect from her creative mind. She definitely knows how to keep her audience clamouring for more- developing addictively clever stories with their own original webs of intrigue. I don’t think I will ever tire of reading one on her books- the bonus being that this series is one that you can happily go back and read over and over again.
Bring on Book #6, “House Of Deception”- I CAN NOT WAIT!!!!

I loved reading the book That Incredible Kiss (Kissed By Fate 3) by Tamara Ferguson. It is a story that pulled me in right from the start and didn’t let me go until the final page. I loved the characters of Ashley Mitchum and Brian O’Neill. Ashley first comes across as a young girl who always wants things her way. She could be considered as selfish and self-centered. As the story progresses, she turns into a young woman who is strong and independent. She has never forgotten about Brian. Brian is a young man who has served his country. After an injury, he finds himself back in Crystal Rock. Much to his surprise, he has a meeting with Ashley. What does the future hold for Ashley and Brian? Will family secrets get in the way of their reuniting? Read this book to find out. This story has suspenseful moments as well as romantic ones. I grew to care about Ashley and Brian with each chapter that I read, and I couldn’t help but want them to find happiness. I also enjoyed the additional characters that are introduced. Most of them are helpful and friends with Brian and Ashley. Don’t miss out on a story that has mystery, danger, and romance. It is exciting and entertaining to read. I highly recommend it.

Tompkin's School For The Dearly Departed (Supernatural Trilogy #2)Tompkin’s School For The Dearly Departed by Tabi Slick
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the continuation of the story of Kain and Izara as they continue their lives and the consequences which go with them, but we start with them on their summer holidays, Izara has chosen to stay with Lee at his home near the school in Oklahoma, but Kain has decided to go to New York and stay with his Aunt.

While Kain is in New York, he has been working as an intern at a music magazine as a journalist, or more accurately, as an errand boy, he was hoping that his would mean he could have a rest from the telepathy, but instead, they are still connected, but because of the distance between them, it is only through their dreams and these are becoming more scary and realistic at the same time. They are also changing in the way they view them, they are seeing them from each other’s points of view meaning that they don’t get as much rest as they would hope to. He has also been struggling to control his powers at the full moon.

Izara, however, has been enticed by her power and is finding it harder and harder to control it. The flames she can conjure are appearing more and more often and it is becoming harder to keep others from finding out about them. The more time that she spends with her friends, the harder she has to work to keep them and herself distracted from the truth.

As their powers become stronger and more unpredictable, their other hope of having time away from Choyce and his determination to get them to help him solve a problem didn’t happen either. He is intent on getting their help and gives them both a proposal, he will help them to get control of their powers, if they help him in return, so as they return to school and struggle to hide themselves from the teachers and the other students, Kain and Izara realise that they want the same thing but in different way, Izara wants to embrace what and who she is, but Kain only wants to do that so that he can live a normal life, graduate and continue his life.

The question is whether they can both get what they want and whether the price will be too high to pay. Will their dreams lead them to a solution and will they be able to make a deal to help each other, or will it all end in disaster?

The only way to find out is to go through the steps with them and make the same discoveries which they do.

Remember My Name (Remember My Name Series Book 1) by Laurencia Hoffman – Review by Heather Lovelace

Remember My NameRemember My Name by Laurencia Hoffman
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This complex story was what I expected and not all at the same time. The author does a fine job weaving a layered story that is chock full of emotion and speculation. I expected to find a gripping story but wasn’t as prepared for the story to sit in, what I found to be, a prolonged sad place. This didn’t detract from the story, rather leant to that emotion’s authenticity. However it is something to be aware of if the reader struggles with that emotion themselves. An interesting read and one that left me pondering where the series might go next.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Finding His Zen by Tammy Mannersly was a great read! It was also a very quick read, which was a plus for me. Very romantic, this book quickly draws you into the pages and doesn’t want to let you go. Not steamy at all, it was just a good romance. The characters were great, and the storyline was really good as well. Once I started reading this book I could hardly put it down. This is the second novel I’ve read from this author, and I wasn’t disappointed at all. I highly recommend reading this novel!

The Perfect Outcast by Melissa O. Hansen

This is the first book I’ve read by the author and I so hope it won’t be my last. The Perfect Outcast is amazing and I really hope there’s more. Hansen knows what to do to capture a reader’s attention.

Pira is a beautiful place while Carthem isn’t. Pira has no flaws, but one. Alina. She looks nothing like the other women in Pira. Now, Carthem isn’t exactly like Pira would like you to believe.

Alina, Jade, and Rex are thrown into Carthem and find challenges along the way. Alina is a hero to them. The quote I chose for Alina is: “I’ll pack my bag so it’s ready for Jade to take, and then let’s go.”

Fantasy lovers you need to read this. You’ll be happy!

Tompkin’s School: For The Dearly Departed by Tabi Slick is the second book in the Supernatural Academy Trilogy. This boo does need to be read in order as it follows the same characters and their journey the whole way through.
This is a great addition to this series. For me I felt like it really built on everything that had happened in book 1 and showed a great development of the twins’ characters. The book was just as exciting and action packed as I found the first one to be and it was so easy to slip right back into this world – almost like you never left off.
This series is the first that I have read by this author but I am definitely enjoying her work so far. I am looking forward to reading book 3 and other work she has to offer.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Sweet Temptations: The Boss’s Daughter by L.M. Mountford is a hot a steamy book that will really grab your attention right from the word go. This is the second book in the series however it can be read as a standalone, although once you have read it you will definitely want to go back and fill in the rest.
This is a short story however it is packed full of exciting goings on. L.M. Mountford has yet again created a story that I just couldn’t put down and had to read in one sitting. I was fully engaged with Richard and the temptations he faces yet again. The series does go fully into what some consider a taboo topic so my only recommendation would be to make sure you are happy reading this type of book before you start. If you are then I would highly recommend you start reading this whole series today!

Finding His Zen by Tammy Mannersly – Review by Kerry Baker

Finding His ZenFinding His Zen by Tammy Mannersly
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Finding His Zen by Tammy Mannersly is a fun romantic story that will really capture your attention. It is quite a short story overall however that does not take away from how good it is. For me it is the characters in this book that make it. They have such a great chemistry together and all their interactions to me come across as sweet and entertaining.
This whole book is perfect for that lazy afternoon type read where you just want to get lost for a few hours. It is exactly what I did when picking up this book and it was a great way to relax and enjoy a fun story. I always enjoy books by this author and this is definitely a favourite of hers so far.

IRRESISTIBLE – FALL INTO ROMANCE (Irresistible Romance Book 5) Anthology – Review by Lucy Berson

IRRESISTIBLE - FALL INTO ROMANCE (Irresistible Romance Book 5)IRRESISTIBLE – FALL INTO ROMANCE by Tamara Ferguson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was one of the best Anthologies that I have read in awhile. These were eight wonderful authors all wrapped up into a perfect book. These stories will tug at your heart, each and every one of them. There were a few authors that I have read before but I was happy to find some new authors to add to my list.
Every time I read one of Tamara Ferguson I fall in love with her writing all over again. Her characters know exactly how to wiggle their way into your heart.
I can not wait to read more by all of these amazing authors.

THE PATIENCE OF KARMA (A Madeline Dawkins Mystery #5) by Cynthia Hamilton – Review by Tausha Treadway

The Patience of KarmaThe Patience of Karma by Cynthia Hamilton
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

THE PATIENCE OF KARMA (A Madeline Dawkins Mystery #5) by Cynthia Hamilton. I love this series. It can be read as a standalone but I’ve thoroughly enjoyed reading them all. This is the story of Madeline Dawkins and Mike Delaney who own a PI service together and are also dating. This book has Mike and Madeline receiving 3 cases at one time. One being an older man wanting to find out if his young wife is cheating on him. Seems cut and dried right, but with Madeline nothing is ever cut and dried. The next case is for a missing man who is presumed dead but has been seen in a picture within the last little bit and he may be the key to save a young girl’s life. The next case is about Mike’s past and some choices he made years ago. Will Mike and Madeline solve all the cases and stay together in the process? Read The Patience of Karma to find out!
