I have read several books by C. A. King so I was very excited for this new series. This is a young adult paranormal novel that follows a young witch at the beginning of her journey in Academy, where witches learn how to properly use their magic. Makayla must navigate an unappealing Academy, classes where topics are taboo, and run-ins with the dead. Overall, I really liked this book. It’s a great start to the series. The characters are well thought out, and relatable, even if they’re witches; there is a great story line as well. There were parts throughout the story, however, that felt rather rushed. It almost felt as if some thoughts were incomplete. The characters and the overall story kept me reading and interested and I am honestly looking forward to the second book in the series.

I had to force myself to only read so much a day so I would do things like work, talk to my family instead of reading every free moment. I’m too old for the young adult drama, but there is something about this author and her writing that make me want to forget everything and binge read.
There were so many things I liked and just as many that frustrated me. Most of those center around Beckett.
Greer learned a lot about people she thought were her friends and people she thought she should watch out for.
I overall enjoyed the book and look forward to the next book by this author.

This novel was definitely outside of my normal everyday read but it was well worth it. Full of suspense, guilt, family hardships and more this book will definitely make you think. The plot was original, the characters were well thought out and put together perfectly, and the story as a whole was haunting, suspenseful, and enough to keep you on the edge of your seat as you read it. So if your looking for a well thought out story with amazing characters and more then look no further and pick up this one today.

When she starts at the elite private school, she is immediately the center of attention (which she hates). She has also garnered the attention of someone who wants her nowhere near Beckett. Just when Greer thinks that things are starting to ease up…and maybe her and Beckett are on the same page…she overhears a conversation that breaks her heart and pushes her right into the arms of the person who is out to hurt her. Can she ever trust anything that comes out of Beckett’s mouth? Or should she just bide her time and keep the peace until she leaves for college?
This was a good story that I found myself immersed in from the beginning. I can understand Beckett’s wariness…but even when his eyes were opened after speaking with his father, he still held onto the notion that Greer was not the person she portrayed. I wanted to smack some sense into him! I was rooting for them…but I could understand Greer’s reservations and applauded her standing her ground and standing up for herself. Overall, a good read!

I felt like there were a couple of inquiries on occasion and the story piece surged however in spite of this I truly partook in the story. I love Kate’s composing style. Wow this book was a particularly incredible and a superb story! This book encompassed Ellie who is a retailer who buckles down for her cash selling products that she makes and who really likes her sibling’s closest companion, Raf.

I love this series. I read the other books and didn’t realize I was missing book 1. So thankfully I was able to get it. Although I had read the others before this, I never felt like I was missing anything. I loved every minute of this book. My kids love dinosaurs. They’ve asked me to read this to them multiple times since we got it. I loved that these books taught about teamwork and my young kids were able to pick up on it. Everyone would love this book, its good for younger kids, but as an adult, I really enjoyed it also.

Amazing! I’ve never been to Venice (always dreamed about going one day) but the descriptions the author gave us made me feel like I was there! This was a quick romantic read – full length book but an easy read with a happy ending. It is quick to reach the “I love you”s, but with high school aged kids I think that is pretty normal with hormones running high and everything being new and overwhelming. In the beginning, Beckett is your typical bully, most popular guy in school, athletic and the one everyone wants to be associated with. Greer is the new girl in town (and school) in her senior year of high school. The problem is, Greer is Beckett’s new favorite target, and worse than not being able to just keep her distance at school, she lives in his house!
Greer’s mom and Beckett’s dad are dating. After being together for a short time, they decide for she and Greer to move in with he and Beckett. Beckett is (justifiably) angry and tries to prove they are just gold diggers, not really there because there are feelings involved. However, when Greer is targeted by others, Beckett comes to her defense. From there, it follows along their budding relationship. Overall, an enjoyable read.

Necrosis is a fast-paced thriller about a mother and daughter, Amy and Lila, who are trying to survive this new world riddled with a deadly virus that is turning people into flesh-eating undead. Amy is trying to do everything she can to keep her daughter safe from harm. Just as they think they may have found the closest thing to real safety; the rug is pulled out from under them, and hard decisions have to be made. How far is Amy going to have to go to keep Lila safe?
I could not put this one down once I started reading. Though not a long story, the author did not skimp on action and detail. It definitely brought forth many emotions as I imagined myself in Amy’s position- being a mother of a child who is the center of your universe and you just aren’t sure you can fully protect them from the world outside, but you’ll do whatever it takes to give them their best chance. Definitely recommend! Phenomenal author. I will be keeping an eye out for C.L. Schneider in the future.
Kylee and Jayson come from two very different ways of life. Kylee comes from a large supportive family and Jayson comes from a life of abuse and abandonment. Kylee had a huge crush on Jayson when they were in high school but he totally broke her heart when he stood her up. The next time she sees him, Kylee’s taking him down during a drug bust.
Can their differences bring them together or are they just an explosive bomb waiting to detonate?
This book was very enjoyable! There were a few times that the writing seemed just a bit wonky but the overall story made up for it in every way. There were several unexpected twists and turns, which I always enjoy when reading a book! I found myself rooting for all the right things towards the end and I was not disappointed in this book!

This was a wonderfully done children’s book. The pages were very imaginative, and colorful that keep children interested. I loved both stories, the power of friendship and being caring was among the story lines. The story was cute and sweet And intriguing and heart felt all the way through. The fingernail scene made me cringe with its extensive detail. Just a tad bit of gore, just the way I like it! And the odd relationship with the tabby cat had me hooked. This would make an awesome prologue to the beginning of something much more. I would love to see this turned into a full novel. I look forward to seeing what else DeBlassie has up her sleeve.

This is the second book in The Divine Devils series. I was so excited to read this book as the first book was such a good read and the author didn’t disappoint in this book. The story and the characters has the reader gripped from the beginning. This story is full of danger and mystery, you never know what is going to happen. The fight scenes are written in a way that the reader feels like they are a fly on the wall watching it all happen they are so realistic.
Megan Getz is a Hollywood star. She has a perfect life apart from the fact someone is trying to blackmail her and extort money out of her to keep her secret. This secret is a past discretion that happened in Megan’s life and she doesn’t want it to be public knowledge. So she hires the Divine Devils to solve out who is behind this scheme and stop them before its too late.
What the Devils uncover is a web of lies and secrets around drugs, prostitution and murder.
What exactly is or was Megan involved in? With what the team uncover are they going to survive this assignment? A Love Restrained is a romantic suspense surrounding the lives of Kylee, a Philadelphia police officer, and Jayson, a man on the wrong side of the law and the boy she had a childhood crush on. Although the two are on opposing sides, the attraction and need for each other overtakes them and love begins to bloom. Both battling their own demons, we are taken along their journey as secrets unfold and challenges are met. This author is fabulous at weaving a suspenseful tale and keeping us engaged with twists and turns. I loved how I was debating the outcome even towards the end of the story. The characters were well written and had great development. The author does jump between third and first POV so it began slow for me, but by part two I was immersed and couldn’t put it down.

This author amazes me in all that they create and write. I can never get enough, and feel complete satisfaction with their writing skills and style, as well as the creativity behind the story and characters.
The characters alone made this book a must read. I loved how each character was different, yet was critical as an addition to the story. No character was just to pass time, they were needed and added to the story in different ways. I loved how real they all were, there were no cupcakes and sugar plums with them, you got what you got. The story was action packed, and full of intrigue. The suspense made me want to keep reading, and find out what would develop. The dark essence of the novel kept me holding tight as I read. The book was amazing, when I finished it, I kept thinking about it. Well done to this author! Loved it!
This author is always a must read in my books. This book is no different. The first book was gripping. and this one held its own as well. Highly recommend this book/series/author! A must read for sure!

I absolutely love Ellie and Raf! I was completely entranced by their story from the very start. This book had so many twists and turns and unexpected moments. The first page brings me to the world of TWD. Excellent backstory and character development! Vanished fragments of humanity, committing necessary evil, desperation, and trying to keep your child alive in an apocalypse is excellent story telling. I was drawn in and couldn’t put the book down! A definite must read!
I was so excited to read the second book of this series, and I was not disappointed whatso ever. Makayla is back again in her 2nd year, no one was able to get the coveted transfer spot. So she is back up to her shenanigans tis year, only this time the stakes are higher with the inter-academy face off. Will the GDA be able to take back their spot and be able to keep the school open, or will they fail and the school’s doors close for good? In this second installment prepare for more shenanigans, twists and turns, and the return of our favorite class and classmates! I hope the third book is just as amazing as this one was!

This was a fantastic read! As always, this author never disappoints and this is absolutely no exception. This shorter novel was very well written, very descriptive, scare in its almost realistic horror, and very immersive. I felt like I was right there. I was very easily and quickly drawn into this story and I could hardly leave. I highly recommend this story, especially if you are a fan of horror and zombies.
Moby Plays the Flute is a cute children’s book about being patient and hard work will pay off. Sometimes believing in yourself is the way to achieve your goals. Moby is a young girl who’s father is a Marine and is going on a year long leave on his way out he gives Moby a gift for her birthday. Moby eagerly opens the gift and finds a bamboo flute . She try and trys but can’t get it to make a sound she gets upset when she can’t get it to play she gives up. She starts to not do so well in school and stops believing in herself. But once she can believe in herself magical things will happen. She gives the flute another try and she makes a beautiful sound. This is a cute story with a good lesson. I highly recommend reading this book especially if you have young children, grandchildren or even nieces and nephews they will especially enjoy it. We will definitely be rereading this many times

A beautifully written tale of magic and lore. We all hear tales from our perspective areas while growing up. Every place has at least one mystic tale. I love that this author took that and brought it to life. My great grandma was known as a “healer” when I was growing up, so some aspects of this story really hit home for me.
Hester is an ambitious girl, full of life and wanting more than just working on a farm. She is told stories by her father of a grandmother accused of being a witch because she would heal others with herbs. Hester hears the voice of the river, Sabrina, speak to her and finds herself wondering of the possibility of bringing that magic back and helping those that need it. She meets Aaron, who also speaks to the river and knows how to heal with herbs. Aaron has a dark past and is reluctant to help Hester, but does so at the insistence of Sabrina. Together they go on a beautiful journey of self discovery and growth.
This story flowed from the first page to the last. From darkness and heartbreak, to light and laughter, I felt it all as I was engulfed in the story. When I had to put the book down, I would find myself thinking about the characters, wondering what the pages would bring me next. This is definitely a beautiful read.
The series only gets better and better. Book four does not hold back from delivering the same page turning adventure from each of the past books one to three. Reading the books in order is recommended, but there is a detailed recap at the beginning of the book to cover what happened thus far in the series. Each book adds more depth into the lives of the different characters and the world in which the story takes place. Set in the early time frame of the British Isles and Scandinavia with all the details to transport you back in time to this world of long ago. There are Vikings, witches, adventure, magic, love and war. This book centers around Kara and her arranged marriage that she journeys to escape from. Becoming a shieldmaiden and learning all what it really entails to be a warrior. Karl, Sorven, Thorfinn, and Cub each continue on in their own journeys. A must read series that I absolutely cannot wait for the next book!

She just has to show she has what it takes to be seen in what has been a male dominated arena. But do read the books in order. Can she show she is more than her father’s legendary ways?
Brooke has given her readers another intriguing and interesting read that is easily read as a standalone as is most of this series. I always enjoy the worlds and characters that she brings to the table and it is the latter that always brings the story to life.
If you love a good romance story with the dangers of a competitive sport then you will like this one.

Wowwwwwwwwy WHAT A BOOK!!!!! This is such a fast paced book. But I loved it! I couldn’t put it down. I read it in just a few hours! Kate and Tilly are characters that have the best personas. I definitely don’t want to spoil this one for anyone. However I will say I didn’t read the first book in the series but I was able to catch up quickly. I will be getting my hands on the first book very soon!
