What an incredible read Shattered was. This is my first read by Nicole Banks and what an introduction it was. I was totally and utterly captivated with this read from start till the end. This book faces some emotional and hard topics but this author has dealt with them with compassion and wrote them in a way that really makes people think. This is an emotional read but one where you get a brilliant understanding and connection to each of the characters and the journey they have through this read!
I can’t wait to delve into the rest of the series to see what else this author can bring us, I can’t wait to delve into Book 2.

Shattered is the first book in the Shattered Hearts series by Nicole Banks. This is a contemporary friends to lovers romance with some drama, pain, guilt, abuse, and emotion. This story reaches deep and tugs at your heartstrings- full of the highs and lows that life can bring- with laughter, tears, obstacles, angst and heartache. I really felt for the characters right from the beginning and was rooting for them the whole way through- even when they were frustrating me to death. Angel was in the Marines, returning with some demons that haunt him. Jasmin has been through her own hell and has been trying to get her life back on track but hasn’t been able to shake her past. These two have a history, they were childhood friends, now reuniting after many years. What happens when feelings and desire begin to surface? Will they have what the other needs in order to heal? Will they help mend the shattered pieces of their hearts, or are they far too broken to ever put back together? The story continues in the next book- but don’t worry, it is available to read right now, so no waiting between books! The story was a little slow in places, but this didn’t detract to much from my overall enjoyment of the story.

I am not new to Nicole Banks but this new series was a delightful surprise from her. Shattered is the first book in the Shattered Heart Series and I see promise of fabulous characters and romantic trysts to to come, much like this one was.
In Shattered we get to find out all about Angel and Jasmine and see how they handle life and the many obstacles that can plague a newly home serviceman. Angel returns from the Marines with some guilt and past demons that just won’t let up on him. When he meets Jasmine everything seems a bit easier to handle for him and he finally sees the light at the end of the tunnel so to speak. Jasmine also has her past and emotional standoffs that will come into play. I love how Nicole Banks shared their story from multiple points of views. It kept the story flowing quickly and made it multidimensional. These two were not my absolute favorite couple of all time but the story was rich enough that I wasn’t left wanting anything. I look forward to seeing what else will come in the next few books. Thanks for the fabulous read Ms. Banks!

The story Into Pieces (Shattered Hearts Series Book 2) by Nicole Banks is a contemporary/new adult book. It is the next story in a wonderful series. I was hooked from the beginning of the book and soon found myself lost in both the storyline and the characters. I enjoyed reading about the characters of Jasmine and Angel. This is the continuation of their story. They both have demons that they are dealing with. Both believe they are broken. Can they both learn to trust and to lean on each other? There is a crazy physical attraction between them. There is a strong connection and chemistry. Do their hearts belong to each other as well? What does the future hold for Jasmine and Angel? Read this book to find out. This story does have moments that are suspenseful and had me turning pages to find out what happens next. The book also has scenes that are very steamy that make the temperature in the room rise. The additional characters are familiar in this story as they were brought forward from the first book. I enjoyed reading about how they are living. While many of the characters in this story are helpful and have friendly interactions with Jasmine and Angel, there are some who have their own agenda and plans that they want to succeed. I have grown to care about Jasmine and Angel and I can’t help but want them to find happiness. Don’t miss out on a story that you won’t be able to put down until you have read the final page. I highly recommend reading it. This is a series in which the books read in order. This story does have some sensitive content. Reader discretion is advised.

This is the second book in this series, I loved it just as much as the first. I highly recommend reading this series in order to help know where Angel and Jasmine have been to where they are now. In this book we get to know and see a little more of each of these characters. They each are struggling with their own pasts, battle after battle which kept me turning pages just to see what would happen next. Is there HEA in their future? They are awesome characters and their story is a must read.

Shattered (Shattered Hearts Series Book 1) by Nicole Banks. This is the story of Angel & Jasmine. I loved this story. Its about 2 friends who have always been there for each other. As one of their friends dies and they deal with the guilt and loss they turn to each other and their feelings change. They have both been thru so much trauma and hard lives will they ever be able to completely trust the other. They are both broken so can they build a relationship out of that brokenness? Jasmine also has a secret and its killing her knowing it. Will she ever get the nerve up to tell her friends the real truth. I loved the group of friends that we meet in this book and I can’t wait to read more about them. This is going to be a great series!

Shattered by Nicole Banks is the first book in the Shattered Heart series. This book is highly emotional and does touch in sensitive topics however the author handles them with such ease. This book is all about the characters and their connection. You can feel it between them right from the start. The book does pull you in instantly and it really keeps your attention from start to finish. I was genuinely surprised by how emotional and heart wrenching I found this. I hadn’t expected that when I started reading it but I certainly enjoyed that side to it. And I have to say I loved that the book ended how it did, it made me much more excited to read the second book.

The story Shattered (Shattered Hearts Series Book 1) by Nicole Banks is a contemporary romance book. It is a story that had my emotions going up and down the entire time. The book pulled me in from the beginning and I found myself lost in both the story and characters. I enjoyed reading about Jasmine and Angel. They were childhood friends. They find their way back to each other. Their lives have been filled with guilt and pain. They feel broken. They also feel a strong attraction to each other. Will they allow the pain of the past to make themselves push each other away or will they take a chance with one another? Read this book to find out. The story at times had me with tears in my eyes. I also enjoyed the bantering that goes back and forth between Angel and Jasmine. They both are characters that you can’t help but care about. There are other characters that are introduced, and I enjoyed reading about how many of them interacted with Jasmine and Angel. Don’t miss out on a book that you won’t want to put down until the last page. I highly recommend reading it.

I loved this book! I couldn’t put it down once I started it. This is an emotional story where the characters have lots of ups and downs. They pulled me into their story from the beginning and made me feel part of the story. Jasmine and Angel have known each other all their lives. Life has taken them both on some struggles and both have been broken. Will they find their way back to each other? Are they strong enough? I found myself turning pages fast just to see what happens next. A must read!
