I enjoyed this suspenseful thriller. This is a new author for me and I look forward to seeing more from them in the future. This is a well written story about a murderer and having her story being told. Allison has been picked to write this murderers story but she doesn’t realize that the details are closer to her than what she ever thought. This was such a great story that I had a hard time putting it down. The characters brought the story to life on each page and just made the story entertaining to read. The twists and turns had me sitting on the edge of my seat. Great growth and I highly recommend reading this book.

Sirena Van Schaik was born in British Columbia, Canada; the youngest of 4: 2 brothers and a sister. Growing up in the wilds of BC, she discovered her love of nature, adventure and appreciated those quiet moments at the end of a busy day when she could bury her nose in a book.

From there, Sirena discovered writing and spent as much time as she could in the written word…either by dancing through the worlds created by her favorite authors or creating her own worlds. 

At 18, she moved to Ontario, where she continues to reside with her husband, two children and beloved family pets.  You can find her enjoying her passion as a writer when she isn’t spending time with her family.

Sirena received her MA in creative and critical writing in 2020, her post-graduate certificate in creative writing in 2017 and her honors diploma in early childhood education in 2001. She is currently pursuing her PhD in creative and critical writing.
