This book was cute. It is the second book in the series and can be read as a standalone but some of the main characters are from Book one so I think reading these in order would give the best reading experience possible.
This book was cute and a funny romcom and I enjoyed the authors writing style.
I am looking forward to more by this author in the future.
Happy Reading!

This is the second book in the Love on Tap series, though it is written as a stand alone. It was a cute story about faking a relationship but of course a real one begins. I enjoy Sylvie Stewart’s writing style and encourage anyone to read her stories. This one isn’t my favorite so far but it was still a great read.

Smooth Hoperator is Book Two in the Love on Tap series. It is a contemporary romance that focuses on the story of Sunny and Carter, who are complete opposites but somehow find their way to one another. Sunny is a librarian who is all sunshine and lollipops with a wardrobe as colorful as her personality. She loves helping people and has a heart of gold. Carter has recently moved back to town after leaving his political career behind under suspicious circumstances. He is a bit broody but very protective of his loved ones. Sunny and Carter meet at the library that he frequents, and he catches Sunny’s eye, but Carter thinks she is too colorful and not his type. That is, until he spends a bit of time with her, and she manages to make an impression on him that leaves him wanting more of her in his life. As the two spend time together the chemistry between them grows.

This was a beautifully crafted opposites attract romance story with wonderful characters. Sunny was like a little ray of sunshine that did what she could to help those she loved. Although on the surface Carter appeared to be broody and detached, he too had a heart of gold. On the surface they appeared to be complete opposites but were well suited for one another. I loved the character of Sunny’s grandfather and the situations he got himself into, like the love column in the newspaper that he took over writing responses for. The letters and responses had me chuckling out loud and I could not stop laughing out loud whenever I read one. I highly recommend this book!

This is an author that I have fallen in love with – her writing style, her stories. And this book is the perfect example as to why. It is the third book in the series but can be read as a standalone. It makes a great addition to the series and I found it light reading and entertaining. This was the perfect kind of book to pass away an afternoon. It has entertaining characters that you really become engaged with. I especially liked the fact that the heroine is a librarian.
I love how every book by this author is completely different. They all seem to have their own voice and that really makes me connect with them even more. This was a thoroughly enjoyable book and I am already looking forward to the next.

I have been reading this author’s books for awhile and they keep getting better and better with everyone. This is the second book in this series, it can be read as a standalone but I highly suggest reading the previous book as well. This is a well written story that is fun, romantic and is full of comedy. A story about a fake boy-friend and a librarian. Will these two find more than they are expecting? I found myself hoping they would find their HEA. This is a story with great characters that have great chemistry. Watching the growth of the characters made the story easy to read as well as entertaining. I enjoyed what they brought to the story. I highly recommend this book.

The banter continues
This is the second book in the Love on Tap series. I absolutely enjoyed book 1 and this addition did not disappoint. It can be read as a stand-alone but is so much better as a part of the series. Sunny and Carter are likeable characters and their witty interactions had me laughing out loud. There’s suspense, drama and, of course, romance. Looking forward to the next book in the series. Recommend.

  1. I was tickled to read Carter’s story. He intrigued me in Ale’s Fair with his silent and broody ways. Now we get to find out his story. There is so much to Connor than many see. He has many layers. Can Sunny get through those layers? She is the the sunshine he needs and doesn’t know it yet. I love how much the sparks work with these two. It’s kind of a slow fizzle. There’s more going on behind the scenes. Carter doesn’t want people hurt but he does want things fixed. This author writes in a way that connects you with the writing. You feel like Cater and Sunny are your friends. The characters are terrific. Duke is my favorite. A spunky old veteran. Every romance needs a grandpa like that to create havoc. LOL. A great story. I can’t wait to read what Miller brings.View all my reviews

Smooth Hoperator (Love on Tap Book 2) by Sylvie Stewart
Genre – Contemporary Romance
Page Count – 350
After tanking my career in politics, I’m looking for new direction. But my GPS must be broken because it keeps leading me to a kooky librarian’s front steps.
It’s not easy, but I’m doing my best to let go of my old ambitions and embrace the simple life of slinging beer at my family’s brewery. But some powerful players from my past are determined to cause problems for my family and me.
When a chatty local librarian with the wardrobe of a third grader and the optimism of a Disney character begins sticking her nose into my business, I want to tell her to get lost. As fate would have it, though, Sunny and her equally-odd grandfather are my only remaining option to get free of my past for good.
It will take some convincing to get this goofy, goat-loving librarian on board with my risky plan. But if she’ll do things my way, I’ll return the favor by playing her fake boyfriend to make her true love jealous and finally take notice.
But the deeper we get into this venture, the more I realize there’s nothing fake about Sunny at all. Including the way I’m beginning to feel about her.
Smooth Hoperator is book 2 in the Love on Tap series that follows the Brooks family and their adventures in love and brewing beer in Asheville, North Carolina. Each book can be enjoyed as a standalone romantic comedy with an HEA and no cheating.
