This book will have you all in your feels. Scott and Zelda’s story is so intriguing and sad at times but also gives you hope. I love how all the characters were in this one and I’m glad we got to see more of Scott’s past. Again with just the right amount of supernatural.

Zelda and Scott continue their amazing story. Their life changes forever, tragically and they must find a way to struggle through. Heartbreaking, tearjerker, I had to put the book down a few times. You must read the first 2 books in the series to get the full backstory. The blurb at the end about the 4th book has me hanging!

Scott and Zelda are back and on another rollercoaster of ups and downs and twists and turns. Please do not read this book without reading the first two. You will not get a lot of what they go through without the many details, experiences and backstory from the first two books. This specific book is so emotional and had me reaching for the tissues more than once. So much happens but above all the love Scott and Zelda have is as strong as ever. This author has fast become one of my favorites! I am sincerely looking forward to the next installment in this series.

*I will add a trigger warning as I didn’t have one and wish I had. Zelda loses a child and this story explores that grief. If you are still raw from the loss of your own child (and as I know from experience that pain never goes away it just dulls down until something brings it back) you may want to skip this one.

In this book we are back to Scott and Zelda’s story that we started in book one. This author really knows how to pack a punchin the emotional turmoil department. If you haven’t read the first two books you definitely should as they provide additional insight into the characters and their actions.

Zelda finds herself in a horrible car accident, which causes her to lose her and Scott’s baby. As if that weren’t enough Scott must make the decision that will change the course of their lives, in order to save his wife, by allowing the doctors to give her a hysterectomy. This takes the one thing that Scott and Zelda had been working toward in their marriage. Each one blames themselves for what happened, and even though trying to overcome this horrific accident Scott is still being besieged by ghosts who want his help to move on. That is when a ghost from Scott’s past enters the story with a secret that may forever change the couple’s lives. When Scott doesn’t immediately help they go to his daughter, the only other person with the ability to see them. Can Scott and Zelda move through their own trauma to handle the secret from the past? Or is this the final straw that breaks them so they are unrepairable? This is an emotional rollercoaster from the get go and the author does a fantastic job of tackling the difficult topics of infant loss and mental health. I am looking forward to reading what comes next and continuing this journey with this author. I highly recommend not only this book but this series as it has to be one of the best I have ever read!

Whoo boy! This third installment of the Soul Connection series rocked me. In Snowfall Serenade, Scott and Zelda really go through a lot. Their tragedy is something that I have personally experienced it really touched me and made me feel what these characters were going through. This amazing couple is tested time and time again. This series just keeps better with each book. Getting to experience the lives of these two is truly a gift.

The action continues with Scott and Zelda in book 3 of the series. If you thought the first two were full of twists and turns, buckle up because this book has you in for a bumpy ride! I would highly recommend reading the first two books before attempting this one, as there is a lot of backstory that will add to the emotion of this one. Overall a very good addition to the series, though definitely not for the emotionally faint of heart!

This is the third book in the series. I have enjoyed all of the books so far. I really liked getting to see more of Zelda and Scott’s relationship. We learn more of how Zelda feels about not being able to see ghosts. This was a pretty heavy book with all that goes on during it. I cried because I felt bad for Zelda and Scott. Overall a good series with an interesting theme.

I read this series in less than a week, back to back, I couldn’t put it down!
So. Many. QUESTIONS! Of course, I loved it (can I note that I am not normally a huge paranormal fan, but Barrett has written this series in such a way that it doesn’t have me rolling my eyes for how unrealistic ghost stories tend to be… like, I can actually imagine this all happening to someone as it’s being told. COLOUR ME IMPRESSED!) but I am now impatient for the next installment as there was a teaser at the end and it did its job. It teased. I have been teased. Now I want the book!
This installment followed Scott and Zelda again as they went through their lives; their family fuller and happier thanks to the addition of lifelong friends, but of course something is missing. Tragedy strikes, and then it strikes again, and again. They really cannot seem to catch a break. Meanwhile the three-year old little princess is taking everything in stride and their friends are assisting in every way they can. Secrets are revealed, boundaries and relationships are tested, and characters are introduced.
Can’t wait for the next book and to see what literary 180 Barrett will take this time!

Amazing addition to the series
This series keeps on surprising me. In this instalment we are back with Zelda and Scott as they navigate their life together. Scott is still struggling with his gift and Zelda with her mental illness. So mummy emotions bounce throughout the pages. Angel, Logan and Russ are all there too to offer support. Loved the writing and how the author presents everything so raw and real. Highly recommend.

Wow, my emotions after this book….really at me. I just love this series and this continuation of Scott and Zelda had so many heartbreaking moments. My heart truly felt for Zelda as there was a car accident while she was pregnant and ended up losing her and Scott’s baby. Not only that, it was an unfortunate event that Scott had to make a decision to save Zelda’s life. After this, Scott and Zelda are distant but yet need healing. Ghosts keep reappearing and Scott has the ability to see them, but one from the past comes with a secret. Will Scott and Zelda come back to each other and heal together or will they fall apart? This story is full of moments of heartbreak and secrets but it was truly a wonderful book.

Snowfall Serenade (Soul Connection #3) by Nikki Lynn Barrett

This isn’t the first book I’ve read by Barrett. Snowfall Serenade was an amazing read and I know others will enjoy it. Barrett has outdone herself with this series.

Scott can see ghosts and it’s taking its toll on him. He has these life-like dreams and wakes feeling guilty. His wife is someone he can turn to, but he feels like she may leave him because of his obsession. The quote I chose for Scott is: “Still doesn’t solve the guilt thing, though. That’s the biggest. This anniversary will pass, but ghosts needing me won’t.”

Zelda is used to her husband seeing ghosts. Now it’s not only her husband, but her daughter as well. She can’t carry Scott’s child and any time she sees a kid she pictures Scott. The quote I chose for Zelda is: “Go. Get the hell out of here. You can’t be seeing Scott in random kids.”

Highly recommended for Paranormal Romance lovers.

I give Snowfall Serenade (Soul Connection Book 3) by Nikki Lynn Barrett, 4 stars.

This is a very heavy, emotional book. In my opinion, it is the darkest one yet in the series. The first half of the book is very sad and emotional. Scott and Zelda really go through so much. Just when you think they can’t go through more, you are surprised yet again when something else happens. This book really questions just how much a person can take. But there is love here and that is the most important. There are many happy things here too.

This story revolves around the people and it is written so well, you feel like part of the extended family. If you want to be taken on an emotional roller coaster where love needs to prevail, this book is for you. Just don’t forget the tissues.

Snowfall Serenade (Soul Connection #3) by Nikki Lynn Barrett is a fantastic installment to the Soul Connection series. Having read the first two books to this series I was thrilled when this one hit my Kindle and immediately dropped everything to read it. Once again Ms. Barrett gives us everything a paranormal romance reader could hope for including romance, ghosts, drama, secrets, and so many emotions that you’ll feel like your on a roller coaster ride. I was super excited that this story continued Scott and Zelda’s story and couldn’t wait to see what happened to their relationship in book three. Once again Ms. Barrett gives us fantastic characters, great word building, and a plot line that will keep you turning the pages until you’ve read the very last word. So of your looking for a good weekend read then I highly recommend Snowfall Serenade (Soul Connection #3) by Nikki Lynn Barrett.

Deeply emotional and captivating. Snowfall Serenade (Soul Connection Book 3) by Nikki Lynn Barrett hits hard. We pick back up in the lives of Scott and Zelda’s love story, when tragedy strikes again; this time in a deeply personal way.

This book was every bit as good as the previous two and once again I found myself crying, but this one felt even more emotional than the others. Scott and Zelda go through everyone worst nightmare, but their love for one another and the strength of their friendships are on full display in this installment of their story. Barrett does an amazing job creating a connection between the reader and the story and characters; she constantly takes my breath away and this has been a phenomenal series!

Scott and Zelda badly wanted to have another baby, and as soon as their hopes comes true its tragically cut short due to a horrible car accident. The severity of the damage causes Zelda to lose the baby and end up also having a hysterectomy ending her chances for ever having another child. The loss of her unborn child and the loss of her ability to ever have another child devastates Zelda and begins to take a toll on their relationship as a whole. From the ghosts that being to appear for Scott and their young daughter to the mental and emotional factors things become a fighting battle, and question arise can they make it to the other side together. This will be a story you don’t put down until the finish.
Snowfall Serenade was a beautifully written story that was original and heart felt. The moment I began Scott and Zelda’s story I was emotionally invested. It was very easy to connect to them on a personal level and feel as if they were a friend of your own. The story was emotionally gripping, and at times I could not hold back the tears watching them fall apart.

It is my suggestion that you read the first two books in this series before diving into this one for more backstory of the characters and for better enjoyment. Scott and Zelda go through so much in this story. I found myself completely enthralled and invested in their lives. This book is full of action, ghosts, heartache, love and so much more. This is the 3rd book in the soul connection series. I highly recommend reading the first 2 books in the series as we get introduced to the characters in those books. This is a heartwarming and at times heart-wrenching story. We are back with Zelda and Scott who we met in book 1. This story is very hard and emotional read as it deals with mental illness, loss of a baby and loss of a chance to conceive. All those subjects hit very hard emotionally but the author writes them in a way that is real and also respectful. The author gives you insight into both sides of the story from Zelda’s view and Scott’s and that for me is important as these things don’t just effect the woman that goes through it but also her partner. This is a story about love and heartache.

Their story continues in this book. Their live seems perfect and their love stronger than ever but when the thing they want the most, a baby, gets taken away from them this tears them apart. Almost to the point of no return.

However through it all they start to find their way  back to each other. But the constant spirits that keep coming to Scott for help seriously put a strain on their relationship.
With that strain, guilt on both sides and a surprise from Scott’s past which could blow their whole family apart can Scott and Zelda survive it all or will it all be too much to overcome for Zelda.

I was so glad to check back in with Scott and Zelda, even though it seems all they do is fight constantly to keep what they have. I actually found myself with tears a few times while reading this continuation of their story. I loved them in book 1 and this book just strengthened that.

This is a unique series that I’m totally invested in and after finishing this one I seriously can’t wait for the next. I have recommended this series to friends and family and truly can’t wait to read them all again back to back!

I can not recommend reading these as stand alones, or out of order. There is history and events in the first two books that you really need to get the full effect of this story! The characters are all present in all 3 and you will be missing out if you don’t read the first 2 before this one.

Loved this and can not wait for more!

Let me just start off saying I love this series but I also love the fact they all can be a standalone. From the beginning, I instantly fell in love with Scott but Zelda and their connection makes me further deepen the story that is their life. It’s exciting to be a part of each book as a read. I love how detailed the author writes but the paranormal activity that is tangled in their story makes it so intense. Haunting, but not in a spooky way: in a way that appeals to your senses. Their story will leave your heart torn up in so many directions it’s hard to know which way is up and down. What’s interesting for me is how the author writes from so many different angles hitting so many spots that leave you craving for more. I look forward to reading more and more. Bravo!

Snowfall Serenade is the 3rd book in the Soul Connection series by Nikki Lynn Barrett. It needs to be read in order, as there is a lot of connections. I have read the other 2 and still didn’t recall a lot of what was referenced. I should have re-read them to refresh my memory. These books are so creative and well written. I love all the characters and their friendships are perfect. Scott is so realistic, because he can be the sweetest guy ever, or a total dick, when he cracks under pressure. It is genuine and believable based on what he deals with on a daily. This book is full of so much emotion and hard situations. I like that it bounces between point of views, so we can see the same story from everyone’s perspective. I liked that everything was not revealed in the beginning, but unfolded as the story went along. I really struggled reading Deena’s chapters, because they were very cryptic and maddening. But it added to the suspense and emotions felt while reading this book. Highly recommend this series, even if you don’t normally read paranormal.

This book is heart wrenching. Poor Zelda and Scott. As excited as I was to read more about their story and their lives together since the first book, this one is so sad that it really tugs at the heartstrings. They have to deal with so much heartbreak and loss, more than anyone should ever have to deal with in a lifetime. Every time I thought that things were beginning to look up for them there was another cruel twist of fate and more obstacles in their path. Be prepared because this book will definitely take you on an emotional roller coaster of a ride but it’s worth it in the end because this is truly an amazing book.

Little Julianna tries so hard to help. I can’t even imagine what it would be like to talk to ghosts. What a terrific job with this book! The characters are familiar and like coming home to family and the story kind of just picks up from the first book. Then, as everything is going along, BAM!!! Plot twist! Well played, well played. Boy, am I glad that I decided to read this book right away after the other books in the Soul Connection series! The third book in the series, Snowfall Serenade brought back the story of Scott and Zelda, which made me ecstatic and helped me read it that much quicker!

Just like the previous books in the series, each chapter in this book was an emotional roller coaster, and at the end of every chapter I wondered what would happen next. So many things had changed in the lives of Scott and Zelda since the first book, and it was interesting to watch where each chapter lead their story. I reached the end far too quickly and can’t wait to read another book in the series.

Snowfall Serenade (Soul Connection, #3)Snowfall Serenade by Nikki Lynn Barrett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Zelda and Scott are back and as if life wasn’t complicated enough between marriage, parenting and the ghosts which only Scott can see, their life is complicated at best, but they are trying their best, but the ghosts especially are coming between them and Scott is overwhelmed with the amount surrounding him everyday and he feels like he is missing out on time with his family. Although they have things to work through, Scott and Zelda are faced with a life changing decision, one that will change their family forever and while they are trying to make it, Scott keeps being called away by the dead searching for closure, but one day the worst happens and Zelda is involved in a hit and run accident and because of her injuries, Scott has to make a decision bigger than any he has before, but which will change both of their lives forever.

When Zelda wakes up from surgery, Scott has to break the news of the choice he has made and the consequences of his decision and it almost breaks them, the grief they have known before is nothing compared to this and Zelda fears that this, as well as the stress they were already under is leading her to a place she never wanted to return to. As they are reeling from this unexpected change, they begin to think that maybe they can start to get a handle on life, however, things go from bad to worse when a particular ghost turns up, one whom they are both familiar with, but no-one more so than Scott.

A blast from Scott’s past whom he never thought he would see or hear from again, has reappeared in death, but has brought along a living, breathing child with them, a child which is Scott’s, a child from a time he wanted to forget, but he needed closure for. As Scott communicates with and works through all the turmoil around him, Zelda is also battling demons of her own and the one person she needs is the one person she is pushing away, but will they be able to work through all of the stress and turmoil in their lives together, or will it break the bond they have tried so hard to maintain? This is another fantastic book in this series where secrets are revealed when past and present collide to create a maelstrom of emotions, experiences and events which spin you on a wild ride as you go through everything along with Scott, Zelda and those around them as you follow along their path until its conclusion.
