I give Soul’s Day Boxset: Horror and Paranormal Halloween Anthology 5 stars.
This collection of horror and paranormal is perfect for any time of the year in my opinion, but especially fitting around the spooky time of the year. Based around Halloween and/or All Soul’s Day, this set is so eclectic, you will not be disappointed at all. While I had my favorites (a girl who grows up in a funeral parlor, a carnival in purgatory, strange happenings in an eerie motel, a necromancer), all these stories are quite good. They are all written so well and each one is very unique from the next. These authors obviously have such wonderful imaginations and I will definitely be following up on some of the new to me authors.
If you like things that go bump in the night and things this side of normal, I highly recommend this set. However, you may need to leave the lights on and ignore that noise in the other room…

This is definitely one of the most interesting anthologies that I have read. All the stories are entertaining, intriguing, and well-rounded. The book contains the work of some authors who I am familiar with, but also has a lot of stories by authors writers are new to me. So, this book has been a fantastic introduction to these new (to me) authors- as well as allowing me to catch up with the work from authors that I know and love. You may have noticed that I have read quite a lot of anthologies lately, as I am enjoying the diversity of stories that can be found within an anthology, and appreciate that I can enjoy many stories that all have a common theme and inspiration. There are 19 superb stories from 19 talented authors. What better way to spend a day than curled up with a book that will keep you entertained with plenty of thrills and chills.

Soul’s Day Boxset: Horror and Paranormal Halloween Anthology. All I can say is you better hold on to your britches! This anthology will have you sleeping with one eye open and you won’t want to put it down until you are finished. One of my favorite books was Karma’s Karnival and it was hair raising. Its the story of Ellie who is sweet and lovable so you don’t want anything bad to happen to her but this is a horror collection. I also loved the history because it made me feel like I was really there making it even more creepy. Each story is full of demons, mystery, murder and horror so fun to read on a dark rainy night. I promise it will make the hair on your arms stand up and you will feel like you aren’t alone. Amazing scary anthology.
This boxset is filled with new to me authors with some amazing stories! If you need a bump in the night story or anything to help keep your spooky loving heart content, this is for you. 19 authors, 19 stories and each with their own twists and turns . I can’t pick just one to talk about as they all snagged me in some way, i highly recommend these!
This is a compilation of tales of the paranormal and horror variety, it is all themed around All Hallows Eve, or Halloween to most.
The stories in this set range from the view of death from the viewpoint of the living in a mortuary, a haunted house which kills those who enter it in a gruesome manner to a necromancer making tough choices in order to survive.
It also includes the romance between a shifter and a witch in a town surrounded in danger and intrigue where revelations can become life threatening and a teenager in need of training and aid is coming out of hiding and discovering that she is more talented she thought and also more dangerous, but will she be able to juggle life’s challenges or become the danger everyone fears?
The discovery of a dead body which looks like an ancient mummy is only the start of this violent and graphic story for those over 18 only and a woman on a mission to avenge the deaths of ghosts she can see attached to the living, but only after the questions she has have been answered, but how did she become like this and how does she get her answers? Only she knows that.
Next is the Karma Karnival but it isn’t all candyfloss and corn dogs, this is a Karnival with a twist, it is where those who have died learn where they will spend their death, but where this will be only the newly arrived Lord and Lady Karma know as they repent for Lord Karma’s sins .
It also contains the story of the Night Ranger as he waits to capture the last four souls he owes so that he can remove the curse placed upon him, but will he get them, or will another deal be struck in its place?
It’s Halloween night and Kris cannot sleep, but when she hears a scream ringing out and intruders in her idyllic home, can she and her husband survive the night or will these intruders be more than he can handle?
A woman has surgery to see and hear again, but as Halloween approaches, was this surgery the best idea, or will she be lost to her new world of sights and sounds? The woods at the edge of town seem to be the perfect place to play a game of dungeons and dragons, but will this group of boys survive the game when their Dungeon Master is an estranged classmate with a plan?
A forest guardian filled with spirits and a knight with magically powered swords clash, but does their future lie together and alive or separate and dead? Two sisters, MaryAnn and Ester enter the woods a night, despite the warnings of their grandfather, but when MaryAnn is taken from her, Ester escapes to run home and her grandfather, who retrieves MaryAnne’s body from the woods, but nobody believes how she died, apart from him, but why is she not able to mourn her sister and instead is still .fearful for her life and will the darkness now come back for her?
Theresa has it all, a booming following on social media, a job as an administrative assistant a clinic where she met her fiance, but on her wedding night, it all changes and s when her husband disappears, she has to uncover his secrets and save the life that she has built, but will she be able to do it? Irenna is an artist and that is all she wants to do with her life, but when she has to go on a trip with the worst person she can think of travelling with, her tormentor, she realises that their futures are bound in a way she she could never imagine, but in what way is what she has to discover.
Finally, a camping trip in the woods on Halloween sounds like a great idea to Raven and her friends, but that changes when they are being picked off one by one by something in the woods, but what is it that is hunting them and what happens to her friends once they disappear? All the while, another group of friends learn that they should have listened to the old ghost stories that people told them, but when they realise that they shouldn’t have taken the boat to the Island, it is too late to see how their lives would have panned out, but how this one day will change their lives, nobody knows, apart from the woman who is after them.
For a spine tingling and blood chilling box set, this one hits the mark, so what are you waiting for, dig in to these halloween themed tales for a worthwhile scare.
Karma’s Karnival by Aubrey Wynne is one of the books in the Soul’s Day Boxset. Let me tell you that all the books in this Halloween Anthology are amazing but the best one for me is Karma’s Karnival. I had to read this book in the middle of the day because I was a little scared of what was going to be coming around every corner. When you go to Karnival’s custom sideshow, you will always get a prize. It may not be the one you are thinking of but there is a winner. This sideshow is dark and you can see in your mind’s eye everything because of Aubrey Wynne’s descriptive writing. I highly recommend this story. The other books in this anthology are good too. The authors have come together with eye-opening horror and paranormal storylines in everyone. If you are looking for a spooky read I recommend all of these books.

I loved this collection of paranormal and horror stories. There is a collection of 19 stories by a variety of authors which means you can read stories by authors you don’t know and may find a new favourite.
One of my new favourites is Aubrey Wynne. Her story was really captivating. Its about a couple who die in an accident. The wife is set to go to heaven, however her husband is set to go to hell for his deeds in life. With the help of his wife he is in purgatory and needs to redeem himself. Can he make up for his deeds in life? With the help of his wife can he redeem himself or is it too little too late.
This anthology was a “fun” departure from the usual anthologies I find to read. Very well put together, the collection was cohesive and well publicized for the spookier time of year. If you enjoy paranormal, spooky reading, you will enjoy this volume. All of the authors contributed something I found interesting – and I found some authors that I hadn’t read before. I will admit that Wynne was an immediate pull for me as I’ve read several other works from her library. It was nice to see her step outside the genre I typically find her writing. Overall just a great story from Wynne and collection from the group.
I just love a box set of themed books! Throw in the fact that it is my favorite theme, Spooky Season, and I am in legit heaven. I scooped this gem up as soon as it released and it kept me in the spirit of the spooky season all season long! I loved that some of these were new to me authors so now I have a list of new TBR’s to read soon as well as it featuring some of my favorite authors. (cause we all need a longer TBR right? LOL!) One of the stories that stuck out to me the most was Karma’s Karnival by Aubrey Wynne. This book was a thrill ride to read and I am anxious to see what its future will be with this new series from her. It has so many layers to it but honestly the scare was easy to enjoy. Who doesn’t love a good karnival? Throw in Purgatory and you have quite the adventure! I will share the names of the authors included below of the other reads, all are worthy of at least 4 stars if not more! This set is one you do not want to miss!
Erin Lee Kristin Ping w/a Judith Holstrom Amber Garr Ashlee Sinn L.L. Hunter Monique Singleton Majanka Verstraete Aubrey Wynne Stephanie Ayers DM Wolfenden Maggie Tideswell Sian B. Claven Kayla Krantz Yvette Bostic Brandy Nacole Jennifer Fish-Ferguson Lea Cherry Scarlet Le Clair Azaaa Davis
Soul’s Day Box Set is an anthology of paranormal and Halloween stories by a variety of incredible authors. There is a great mix of spooky stories to keep you interested and a range of different stories so they all felt different. I found this is be a great set to be able to pick up and put down between each book so that I could make it last for longer! It also meant they the different books didn’t blend into one and I could pick them all out from each other with ease. I was familiar with some of these authors when I started this series but the majority were new to me and this was a great way to discover their work. Each book was interesting and well written but also completely different in style from the others. I thoroughly enjoyed this anthology and will definitely be checking out more from all of these authors in the future.
Soul’s Day Boxset: Horror and Paranormal Halloween Anthology by numerous USA Today and international bestselling authors is a fantastic buy and a mixture with horrors and paranormal stories (as the title suggests) to tease and tantalise the senses of those who love this genre. Each story is incredibly intriguing and thrilling, compelling and enthralling. It has everything that you can imagine that goes bump in the night.
With great authors:
My Dead Life by Erin Lee is the story of a young woman who has lived with death all her life but what happens when it’s your own death?
A Hallow’s Eve Jinx Part II by Judith Holstrom is the story of returning to your child hood home but returning awakens something in the dark.
Dead Men Rising by Amber Garr is the story of magic and being caught in the middle of magical creatures and entities and not knowing who to trust. But it is a deadly game being played.
Cursed by Ashlee Sinn is a tale of love, a shifter and magic. It is a story of a father who disappears and a woman who needs help. They are more than they seem and with mommy dearest around things are twisted and dangerous.
Daughter of Darkness by L.L. Hunter is the story of one person who has unbelievable abilities inherited from powerful Nephilim and she is in danger. They want her dead.
Drained by Monique Singleton is a tale where bodies are drained, secrets are dark, spirits roam and a Voodoo witch doctor all set in New Orleans.
Revenant by Majanka Verstraete is a spooky tale of ghosts attached to people. Murderers and seeking revenge. She was someone or rather now she was something she didn’t know what. What she did know was that she was dead.
Karma’s Karnival by Aubrey Wynne is a historical dark and twisted story set in a carnival and purgatory.
Night Ranger by Stephanie Ayers is the story of the Night Ranger collector of souls needed to release his curse.
The Root of all Evil by D.M. Wolfenden is a fast paced horror story that is thrilling and the fear is palpable when you are cut off from the outside world.
Finders Keepers by Maggie Tideswell is a paranormal romance where our main character is sent to marry a man she doesn’t know and what she finds is a world of horror.
Shhh by Sian B. Claven is a psychological thriller where the author gets creative and nothing is quite as it seems in the new world of hearing.
Dungeons and Demons book 2 by Kayla Krantz is one of those stories like those movies where you yell at the tv and tell them not to open the door or where the killer is. Demons are rife and murders are happening and being singled out in high school.
The Guardian’s Nightmare by Yvette Bostic is a good story where the characters are more than they seem and a terrible fight that calls the Guardian to help. But how do you stop evil that is never ending?
Hidden in the Dark by Brandy Nacole – what happens when the dead come hunting the living? Will she be next?
Jilted by Azaa Davies is an urban paranormal story of a missing husband and a world of shifters she knew nothing about. Nothing is as perfect as she wants to believe.
Still Breathing in My Dreams by Jennifer Fish-Ferguson is the story of one woman who finds out that she and others in the world are so much more than ordinary and different.
Chimera by Lea Cherry is a tale of going camping in a haunted forest and on Halloween. Simple right? Nothing could be more haunting, you will never look at camping in quite the same way.
Little Golden Locket by Scarlet Le Clair is the harrowing tale of four friends and their visit to and island where they believed the stories where just stories but found they so much more.
I loved reading every book in this anthology. These are as steamy and sensual as the next but they’re also action-packed. I loved how exciting each read was and I was familiar with Phoebe Alexander so this was just up my alley. I think anybody who enjoys sensual reads, this is the one for you!

This was a great collection of spooky reads for Halloween. These will definitely have the hair on the back of your neck standing up, have your heart racing and looking behind your back in broad daylight LOL. All jokes aside, I was pretty entertained by each and every story and how it played out. Pick this up and you won’t be disappointed in the least!

I loved reading this anthology. Some stories will have chills running up and down your spine. Some stories have you checking under the bed, just in case. Some stories include the paranormal. I enjoyed the shifter stories. I love anthologies as I get to read stories from authors that I know and also discover new ones as well. Some of the stories included are: Karma Karnival by Aubrey Wynne – This is a story about a most unusual Karnival. What is in store for those who come there? Also Drained – By Monique Singleton, The Guardian’s Nightmare – By Yvette Bostic, Dungeons and Demons Part Two – By Kayla Krantz, and Jilted – By Azaaa Davis. All of the authors have done an amazing job of making their stories and characters come alive. These are stories that will have you wondering what is going to happen next. Don’t miss out on a group of stories that are spooky, suspenseful, exciting, and entertaining. I highly recommend reading them.

This is a great box set that has a collection of spooky and paranormal stories by nineteen awesome authors. There is something for everyone in this box set. Each story is unique and will keep you reading. One of my favorite stories is Karma’’s Karnival. This is a story that is dark and engaging. The author’s attention to detail made you feel as if you are right there with the characters. It made the history portions easy to read and entertaining. Ellie made such a great character, not only connectable, strong but lovable too. I loved each story and the suspense was just what I needed on a cold afternoon. I highly recommend this book.
