Gah! I can’t get over the cuteness of this book. It follows two students with a fantastic librarian on a journey of wonder! They HAVE to save the school, and even world, from the aliens threatening to invade!

The best I could describe this book is whimsical! It is such a perfectly woven book for children. It made me remember why I use to love running to the school’s library every Friday afternoon! Even though I didn’t read it as a child, it felt nostalgic nonetheless. I’m really excited for the day I can share this book with my own children!

I decided to read this book with my daughter as part of our night time routine. She isn’t keen on alien storylines, as she has an active imagination and scares easily. However, she had no problem with this book! In fact, she laughed quite a bit and loved to pretend she was one of the characters in the story. She said she can’t wait to tell her teacher about this book.

It was a great book for us to share together and we both got a kick out of it. We talk about it often and my son looks as us confused when we say words like “glorp” or “spaghettified.” We told him that he will just have to read the book himself to find out. It was a great story and we look forward to reading more by this author.

This was such fun and reminded me of being a kid reading My Teacher is an Alien by Bruce Coville.

When alien attack and kidnap the kids at school in order to get glorp, it is up to Sophia, her brother Aidan and the school librarian, Mrs. Booker to save them all.

I loved Mrs. Booker. The way she talked to the aliens, you just knew she was going to be a fun character and not all that she seemed.

I wish this was a series cause I would love to read more of Mrs. Booker.

We will never look at libraries the same again! How brave and cute are Sophia and Aiden? Mrs. Booker is a fantastic librarian and Agent of the planetary crew! Although this is for a bit older kid my kindergartner loved it. This story was very creative and entertaining.

This book was such an incredibly fun read! Anytime a librarian takes on or saves the world is worth the read. Kids will love this book, and any adult that is a kid at heart will as well. This story plays on the imagination and brings out the kid in you. Its silly, fun, and shows what all kids want to do which is save the world. I read this book with my 7 year old and we both adored it. Ray guns, space, aliens, friendship, and more!

This book was hilarious. My nephew and I sat down and read this, and it took forever to get through between his giggles and my own laughs. It has an adorable concept and a fresh perspective on how your dog really thinks. I definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a book to enjoy with their children.

I have enjoyed this children’s book. There is so much potential when making science fiction stories for this age group, The story grabbed my inner child and I had to keep reading what was going to happen to the aliens, students, and the librarian. The adventure is believable in the eyes of a child. I highly recommend this story to an elementary school-age student.

Oh my, what a fun book! The adventure in this book was comical and non-stop. It would be easy to keep any child engaged and excited about reading with this one. Some aspects of the story were silly, but it still had a healthy dose of team work and problem solving. It would be a great addition to any classroom or home.

4.5 rounded up.

This was a very interesting chapter book read. Perfect for children starting out in reading chapter books, and those looking for an adventurous read.

This novel takes us on a fun adventure of a secret intergalactic agent masquerading as a librarian, and the journey she and two students go through to save their school, and the planet, from alien invaders.

I loved the “out of this world-ness” of this book. It’s bizarre yet fun, and enjoyable to read. Certainly would be a hit for young readers looking for an adventure book.

There are some illustrations along the way that allow a better picture of the characters and what’s going on in the story.

Just beware that this story may cause kids to not want to eat hotdogs with ketchup (if you know, you know).

My kids loved this story. My daughter loves library day at school and is currently in 3rd grade so this hit a chord with her right off the bat.
They were laughing and guessing what would happen next and it really kept their attention.
Will be getting this to add to our physical library very soon (birthdays are right around the corner)

This was a good story. I could see some of my students enjoying this book especially those just starting to read chapter books. I thought the plot was easy to follow and the illustrations were cute as well. It is a good introduction to the sci-fi genre. It was definitely a story that students can relate to. I would recommend it to kids.

What a fantastic book for children. This book was so entertaining and took me back in time to when I couldn’t wait to go to the library for new books to read. Of course, I didn’t encounter any aliens while I was at their library, or at least not to my knowledge. But I sure did enjoy reading about them. The author did a wonderful job describing what was going on in this story. It was so easy to visualize it in my mind because the illustrations are so good. I’m sure that goes for kids as well. If you have kids I highly recommend you read this book with them. Give it as a gift. For birthday gifts to friends, to teachers, or to your child’s school librarian. I’m sure that they will enjoy this book just as much as you and your child will.

A very imaginative book in which a third grader and her brother help a librarian save the library from Aliens. I absolutely loved the concept. Third Grader Sophia loves to go to the library once a week and she is a good friend of the librarian. She has her routine chalked out every week until one fine day the library turns stinky with aliens. Now it’s up to Sophia to roll her sleeves up and help the librarian Mrs.Booker get rid of the aliens.

It was a fun book, very gripping and has all elements of magic in it. It was a wonderful read.

I just have to say that this is one of my favorites children’s books that I have read to date! The illustrations that are woven throughout the story just lend to your imagination going wild. It begins with the Sophia trying to reach a book that was out of her grasp, leading to her falling and being introduced to the librarian who retrieves the book for her. After this happen the action starts happening and where I was hooked. The way that the author has written this children’s book makes it where anyone reading this with a child would enjoy it as well. It has a great story line that just truly made reading this book loads of fun! I wish that this book came out when I was a child because I know that this would have been at the top of my long list of books to read.

This was a cute story that my grandchildren loved. They had me reading it over and over. I always enjoyed the library and reading so this cute book gave me joy just as much as my grandchildren

When smelly aliens from Planet Wart invade Orchard Ridge Elementary School with plans to steal mysterious goo from the cafeteria and use it to spaghettify the Milky Way. It will take two elementary students and an elderly librarian must save the galaxy.

Imagine being a third-grader and getting to go on the weekly trip to the library!! I personally remember those days because they were my favorite school days! Any great bibliophile knows that making a friend with a librarian is making a friend for life! Sophia does just that and during one of her weekly visits to the library, it is invaded by aliens!! The aliens have a bubble shooter that captures Sophia’s classmates but she is able to avoid it and does what she can to save her librarian. Come to find out, the librarian is a true friend indeed!

Super cute book with an awesome cover!

What a fun story to read to the children. Aidan and Sophia are at the library when the stinky aliens arrive. While the other children run to find a safe place to hide. Sophia and Aidan stay to help Mrs. Booker, the librarian. Lets not forget the hot dog sludge in the cafeteria. This is a nice opening to visiting the library. It also introduces Sci Fi adventures to the children. This book opens the door to many exciting adventures. The story is fast paced and easy to read. The pictures are fun to look at and tell the story as well. This author has a great view of what children like to read. I hope you take a chance with this author and her fun adventures.

What a fun book! I was extremely surprised at the length. I truly thought it was going to be a quick picture book but instead it was a decent length with lots of details, description and allowed for a good world to start being built.

As I was reading this book I couldn’t help but be reminded of Men in Black. This book felt like a very fun adventure designed for kids that would fit right along with the world created by MIB.

It was silly, it was fun, and it was entertaining so 4/5 stars well earned!

Third grader, Sophia Boyd enjoys her class’ weekly visits to the school library. Often she will search for a book by her favorite author. She also adores helping out her favorite librarian, Mrs. Booker, each week. Sophia is used to her weekly routine, but quickly learns that today would turn out to be a bit different.

It’s Hot Dog Day and who would have thought a 3rd grader like Sophia would need to help Mrs B save the galaxy. On this day, they find themselves in quite a pickle thanks to green hot dogs, pink aliens & violations of the Planetary Code.

This sci-fi book is a great adventure story for kids and families to enjoy. The cover art is colorful and matches the story perfectly.

This story was enjoyable and captivating.

We got a dog four months back and I picked up this book because of its story . I could do relate to it . The author has captured the dog behavior and the human canine binding really well . It is a nice little book and very easy to read . Paul Ford rescues a stray dog and finds about how he got separated from his family . So he agrees to transport Toby back to the owners . The story is the travelogue of their adventures together as they travel to Illinois.

I thoroughly enjoyed the book and could so relate to it . And surprise, our dog is a pitbull mix too !!

This was such a cute book! As an Early Childhood Educator who often sees school-aged children sometimes struggle to find an early reader chapter book that interests them I think this book fits perfectly for any animal lover, especially a child who has a cat or a dog (or both). I enjoyed that the chapters were short and easy to stop if a young child was having some difficulty and getting frustrated and I enjoyed the story overall!
I also think the story is relatable for kids because Toby was influenced by the next-door neighbour aka the cat which many kids can relate to with peer pressure in school but when reading it may not realise that’s what they are learning about which is a bonus in the eyes of a parent!
I will be recommending this book to family and friends as well as fellow educators working in the school system and parents wanting to help their kids succeed in reading!

This quirky and fun read was enjoyed by my 9 year old niece. There were plenty of face palms as we read along to Toby’s quarrels with the neighbourhood cat. The story provided laughs, moments of nervousness, and a happy ending! It was an enjoyable “tail” throughout and provided the opportunity to expand a child’s vocabulary as well. The biggest lesson we learned from this story is that all dogs are good dogs!
