Buddy is different from his siblings and feels like he doesn’t fit in. Mama reassures him that him being different just makes him special, and that everyone has something special about them. This was a short and cute kid story with a good lesson. Love the animal characters that keep kids engaged.

Good Things Take Time (Buddy the Blue Corgi Series) by Suzanna Lynn. This is such a sweet series for kids. Its a story of Buddy the Corgi and how he came to be adopted. He is terrified no one will want him and all his brothers and sisters will be picked and he will be left alone. Buddy is the only Blue Corgi out of the bunch and that worries him too, he’s different. Buddy is adopted and he goes to live with 2 cat siblings and a whole family that is crazy about him. Buddy is the sweetest and this series is as well. Its a great series for elementary kids and younger and it would be especially good for any child that is adopted or feels different from others. These books have great pictures and there is always a Christian element that I love. It also teaches kids that everything is not going to happen this instant, that some things take time! Such a great read for kids. I’m buying this whole series for my new Grandbaby to have when he gets older!

This book is a part of the Buddy the Corgi series, but can absolutely be read as a stand-alone. This book gives us the story of Buddy’s early life on the farm he was born on. We get to meet many of the different animals that Buddy lived with before being adopted by his forever family. The illustrations can almost make you wish to spend time on a farm…almost. With adorable pictures at the end of the book of the real life Buddy, what’s not to love? I would recommend this book to any parent or teacher of young children, or even children’s librarian.

This book is an adorable way to teach kids that not everything is instant gratification. The story introduces you to Buddy, a blue Corgi and explains his adoption story. This book is great for all kids, but I could definitely see it being especially meaningful to a child just getting their first pet or a child who is adopted at an age that they are old enough to understand its meaning. Buddy is an adorable puppy and the only blue Corgi in his whole litter. Once he’s adopted, he has two cat siblings and a whole family that loves him. I would recommend this for any elementary age child, or younger, though even as an adult, I enjoyed it myself. The illustrations are adorable, and the back even includes pictures of the real Buddy for a bonus. This book is part of the Buddy the Corgi series, but can absolutely be written as a stand-alone.

5 Stars Good Things Take Time (Buddy the Blue Corgi Series) by Suzanna Lynn
Good Things Take Time is the second book in the Buddy the Blue Corgi Series. Another wonderfully written children’s book that children of any age can enjoy. My six year old son loved this book and kept saying it’s ok buddy your forever family is coming very soon. Sometimes being patient is hard. Good Things come to those wait. Buddy was starting to get sad and felt unwanted but he stayed calm and his forever family came. We loved this book and the colorful illustrations help to bring the story to life. My son and I highly recommend reading this book and look forward to reading more from this Author.

Buddy was a pup from a litter of 5, and as they all grew, the time came for them to be adopted to new families. One by one, buddy’s siblings were chosen and left his farm. Buddy starts to blame himself and wonder why nobody wants him. His mama reassured him that his perfect family just hadn’t come yet, but they will. Eventually he gets his family and finds out that they traveled extra just to get him!

5 Stars Decisions Matter (Buddy the Blue Corgi Series) by Suzanna Lynn
Decisions Matter is part of the Buddy the Blue Corgi Series. What a wonderful story about being honest and telling the truth. There seems to be a trash bandit getting into the trash and knocking over the trashcan. Buddy is determined to catch the trash bandit except he’s the one being blamed since he’s the only one there. Buddy is trying to prove it’s not him but someone else. He figures out who it actually is. Will he tell Donut who the trash bandit is? It’s always good to be honest. I tell my six year old to be honest and always tell the truth. Make good choices because bad choices have consequences. Another wonderful story. The colorful illustrations brought the story to life. I highly recommend reading this book to children of any age. We can’t wait to read more from this Author.

Buddy lives with his two cat brothers, Salem and Donut. Donut is the older responsible sibling and keeps the others in line when needed. When someone keeps knocking over the trash at night, Buddy is determined to stay awake and catch who did it but the culprit keeps getting away in time and Buddy gets blamed. Buddy eventually sees who did it but is afraid of tattling on them. Donut teaches Buddy that he should never take the blame for something he didn’t do. This was my first book from this author. It was super cute and had a great lesson.

You Are Special is part of the Buddy the Blue Corgi series. This is a wonderfully written children’s book that children of any age can enjoy. I love this author and how all her stories have Special meanings. The lessons we learn from her stories are incredible. My six year old son loved this book and kept saying God made you Special for a reason buddy. Being different is okit makes us each different in our own ways. Buddy is growing up with his new brothers, Salem and Donut. Buddy keeps being blamed for something he’s not doing and he tries to figure out who is the culprit. Donut helps the brothers to understand that telling the truth is always the most important thing.
What another great lesson taught to us by Buddy the Blue Corgi. I love the simple approach to these books. One small but meaningful lesson in each book. Can’t wait to see what Buddy and his family get up to next.

As always there is a lesson to be learned in this book. Sometimes what we want takes more time than expected. Buddy goes through a few emotions which is typical in the waiting process. The author engages the reader in a way they can understand the value of waiting. The artwork is very well done.

This was a cute story! I think that it is engaging for kids and packed with good messages. Children are often worried about being a tattletale when reporting something that they are dealing with. This book is a good reminder that it is ok to report unkind behavior. Also, that honesty is important. I would recommend this for a read aloud for children. It opens opportunity for constructive conversations.

Buddy is a Blue Corgi and he doesn’t look like the other siblings in his litter. He doesn’t know it until one day a horse on the farm points it out. Buddy becomes very upset until his mom comes to comfort him.
This book is a great way to talk to kids about differences, whether it be in the way they look, different abilities, etc. There is a Bible verse at the end and this is written to be very inspirational. I highly recommend this book! The reader even gets to meet the real life Buddy at the end of the book!

Buddy was born and although he didn’t know it at the time, he was different then the others in his litter. When it is pointed out, Buddy is confused and feels like he doesn’t belong. When he brings his trouble to his mom, she helps Buddy understand that being different can also be a blessing.
Great illustrations and I think that young ones will enjoy this story. I liked that Buddy had emotions and it can open up a dialogue with children and how everyone is different in their own way. Well done

You Are Special (Buddy the Blue Corgi Series) by Suzanna Lynn. This is a wonderful children’s book that explains that its ok to be different from others. Its the story of Buddy, the little Blue Corgi who realizes he doesn’t look like his mom or his friends when he looks in the mirror. His mom explains that everyone is different and that’s ok. This is such a good book for young kids to realize that they don’t have to look like everyone else, whether they are short, tall, big, little it doesn’t matter, what matters is what’s on the inside. I also love that the last page of the book has a scripture that reinforces the story of the book. Love this sweet book!

Readers are treated to a tail-wagging discovery: decisions have consequences. A loveable dog recounts a time when he did not get along well with a family member. Have you ever been accused of something you didn’t do? This dog has. How you react to a situation says a lot about you. Readers learn that the decisions they make when faced with a difficult situation can have lasting consequences.

Although we seemed to have read these books out of series order, we can honestly say that this is becoming one of our favourites. This book was another brilliant addition to the series. For me, I loved the focus on making sure kids know how special they are. It seems to be a recurring conversation I am having to my 6 year old and I think reading this book helped to reinforce some of the things I had been saying. As with the other books, my kids instantly connect with Buddy and the other characters. They really enjoyed the story and the illustrations that went with the adventure. This author has obviously created a strong series and we are looking forward to reading more.

Another cute book that teaches honesty is the best policy. The story is very engaging especially with Donut being the responsible one. He does have some wise words for Buddy and Salem. When something bad happens, one would want to make it right. Sometimes it’s hard to do the right thing with conflicting feelings. The overall story is well done and the illustrations are very well done.

We only recently read our first book by this author so we were excited to get our hands on the next one so soon. I think we were all looking forward to reading more about Buddy and his fun adventures. This book was not only entertaining, but had a great message it had been focused around – the importance of telling the truth. This felt like a very familiar concept to us, with my eldest coming in to the phase of learning how to “tell tales” and understanding why you should be truthful. This author really has a knack for weaving a fun yet educational tale. As with the last book, my kids thoroughly enjoyed this story. They were instantly engaged and their attention was held until the final page. This is a great story and we all want more adventures from Buddy!

Out of all of the books in this series that I have read so far You are Special is probably my favorite. Buddy feels so different because he is the only pup in the whole litter that is a blue corgi with a spot over his eye instead of the tan and white coloring that makes a typical corgi recognizable. Nelly the horse makes that sound like such a bad thing. Buddy’s momma comes to the rescue and helps him to understand that he is different only because he’s so special. I love that these children’s books are based off of real life characters and that they offer a Bible verse at the end of every story that helps to explain and guide our little readers today. Great pictures as well!

Good Things Take Time, literally, things that mean the most to us are never immediately attainable, and sometimes that causes us to get frustrated, nervous, or scared, but it all works out in the end. I love how the characters are based off of real life characters. I also enjoy that these are good, wholesome, Christian stories with Bible verses that help teach children as well as the wonderful lessons in each book.

What a cute story about how the choices you make can affect other people. Buddy is trying to do the right thing and catch the trash bandit, but every single time the bandit disappears and Buddy is left to take the blame. Salem realizes how much he is really hurting his friend and starts to make better decisions and take the blame as he deserved it. The illustrations were great too.
