This is the first book I’ve read by this author, and I’m going back to read book 1 immediately! I loved this book- from the way she wrote the story itself to the characters I met. You get such a range of emotions from this book- sappy, sexy, serious- it’s a win all the way around. The story follows Milo and Jill, two people who haven’t seen each other for the last 12 years. Both of these characters were written so perfectly- with flaws and all. If you’ve never read Sylvie Stewart- you NEED to!

New Jerk in Town: An Enemies-to-Lovers Romantic Comedy is the second book in Sylvie Stewart’s Carolina Kisses series. I have read her Carolina Connections series before so it was good to bump into some familiar faces as well. I have always loved spin-offs/series where we meet the old favorites! You can read the story as a standalone but if you love Carolinas and the small towns and feeling good, I suggest that you don’t only read the first of the Carolina Kisses series but also dip into Carolina Connections! We meet a grumpy Milo who is raising his teenage niece after returning to his home town … he is also trying to figure out what to do with his life and then, suddenly, a blast from the past, Jill, has also returned to the town … it blows one’s mind how their story is filled with misunderstandings and it is going to take quite a bit to sort them out as both of them are stubborn like hell and can argue until the cows come home and then leave again! There are so many other supporting characters that make the story a charm to read and I promise you will not want to put it down until you have come to the end AND you will want to go and check out the other books that are ‘related’ to Milo and Jill’s story so plan some binging time!

Milo is Mr. Grumpy and Jill is a people person, if not a bit of a drama queen. This is definitely a case of opposites attract- with wonderful results. Another great read from Sylvie Stewart- definitely worth the read!

New Jerk in Town: An Enemies-to-Lovers Romantic Comedy by Sylvie Stewart is the second book in the Carolina Kisses series. This can be read as a standalone and completely enjoyed as it is. Milo is a grumpy man trying to raise his teenage niece and figure out what to do since he is back in his hometown. Jill met Milo as a teen during one summer and has returned to town. Will the sparks fly or will they kill each other before that happens? I really enjoyed Milo and Jill’s story and how misunderstandings have a way of continuing to grow over the years. Both of them are stubborn and will argue for what they think is right. I have read other books by this author so I had an idea of what to expect but this did not let me down. Milo and Jill, along with co-workers and family make this a fun will they or won’t they book. I always look forward to reading a book from Sylvie Stewart.

I’m a huge Sylvie Stewart fan. All of her books are full of humor and heart. Once I start reading one of her books, I have a difficult time trying to put them down. Plus I’m always a sucker for second chance, enemies to lovers type of books. I absolutely loved reading about Jill and Milo. Jill is one of the spunky and hot heated female characters that really grabs your attention. Milo on the other hand is kind of grump but underneath it all he has the biggest heart of gold. I loved how they navigated through their past to get over their hard feelings but is it enough to give their future a try?
Sylvie Stewart is definitely one of my favorite One-click authors. All of her stories are different and bring a whole lot of heart to the table.

Life has not been great for Milo, after the accident he has been drifting trying to truly live his life. When that sends him back to his childhood home when his father passes away with his niece in toe will a blast from his past offer a future.
Jill has returned to that happy place where she holiday as a child but when a encounter with the last person she wanted to see happens it stirs up emotions which she does not want to understand. As the story develops will Jill and Milo address the feelings they have had all these years but are they willing to give it a go, you will have to read to find out.
Oh my I love this author so much, her characters are always a little be flawed which makes them so relatable and you really want to invest in the relationship you develop while reading the story. I loved the character of Jill a dreamer who just wants to get away and live her life in peace but just when she thinks she has cracked it in walks the sullen grumpy character of Milo. Milo has hidden depths with his different relationship with his niece and friends who have stuck with him.
I loved the story and always love the superb writing of Sylvie as she is truly a great storyteller, the stories make you want to be friends with these wonderful characters and as always can’t wait to read more from this wonderful author. New Jerk in town (Carolina Kisses book 2) by Sylvie Stewart is a 4 star read. Milo and Jill knew each other as teenagers and didn’t part on good terms, 12 years later they’re thrown together again and there’s still some animosity, but there’s also the fact that they each felt the other was the one who got away. I loved reading the back story and seeing how they get to where they are now. This book was well written and the characters were well developed, this is a new author to me and I look forward to reading more from her.

I can never seem to find the right words to express how much I love Sylvie Stewart’s rom-coms, but once again I will try my best. I loved book one of the Carolina Kisses series and was super excited when I saw the next one was coming. As soon as it hit my kindle I devoured the book faster than the woman with a sad heart and tub of ice cream. This book had me rolling with laughter and falling head over heels for Jill and Milo! I love the push pull of enemies to lovers novels, and it is perfectly done in this one. It is believable enough that I found myself feeling transformed to the place and time watching as the fabulous and swoony first kiss as well as other favorite moments in the novel that I will save for myself so you can experience them without spoiling! This one is a must read and I would grab book one too if you haven’t picked it up yet, you are gonna want more of this fabulous series!

This can be read as a standalone story but some of the characters cross over from previous books in Stewart’s ‘Carolina Kisses’ series. In ‘New Jerk in Town’ Jill, the younger sister to Jenna from ‘The Nerd Next Door’ is the focus of the story. Jill is a natural flirt but seeing Milo Papatonis again she’s reminded that he is the king of all jerks. Surly, rude, selfish, and extremely attractive Milo crushed Jills dreams when they were children had now she’s being forced to share a house with him. Thankfully the situation is only for business and is temporary, however that dose not stop Milo’s bad manners effecting Jill or picturing him in the shower, or imagining his smile, no Jill is definitely not going there. This is a fun sexy, enemies to lovers romance with plenty of comedy thrown in and steamy scenes as neither Milo or Jill can deny their obvious attraction to each other and their chemistry sizzles off the page. I was cheering the main characters on hoping they both got their HEA, and the secondary characters are all intriguing as well and I hope to see them pop up in future books in this series. A great read for some escapism.

New Jerk In Town by Sylvie Stewart a flipping five-star read. This is number two in the Carolina Kisses series, I have read and enjoyed this author before but there was something special about this one, something that just made e smile more than the others. I adored the slow burn romance and the flashbacks made the story for me, they just added this extra layer that helped me get to know and understand Milo and Jill, it gave the story the depth it needed. I loved how it was light but there was an underlying tension that peaked and flowed and just gave it the realness that made you care so deeply for them all. This will have you laughing out loud and holding your heart and hoping it doesn’t break, there is just something about this story and something special about all of the characters, I can easily say that this was my favourite read by this author.

I loved the idea of this book. Two people going at each other like oil and water! I loved their quick witty banter and well actually all interactions. They have an amazing first kiss! What really got me though was that line drive Milo made for her when he backed her against the wall and seared her with his look and lips. Whoa!
There are many cute ideas in here that make it a treasure. The hate-hate relationship. The restaurant….SWiN. I loved the owner and the Bavarian style. I liked that the main character is a diver. That’s different and not highly used. I enjoyed the intricate relationship between Milo and his parents. Well done on weaving that! As well as his friendship with Bran. Lastly but not least are the crossover characters from her other series.
What I didn’t care for were the flashbacks. Some are useful but mostly not. I am NOT a fan of flashbacks at all so I am partially biased here. Sometimes they can be used artfully and smoothly to tell certain aspects or a reason for some problem in the present. Also there seemed to be an large amount thinking in their heads and berating themselves time and again. Too much of that also gets repetitive and old. Just my opinion.
Overall it’s a wonderful story that I enjoyed. I chuckled at their reactions to each other multiple times. Woot woot on the epilogue and the introduction of a certain crossover character the next book(who likes motorcycles and girls) from the Carolina Connections. Looking forward to that!

I enjoyed this funny romance story. This is the second book in this series which is my favorite. I highly suggest reading the first book as well to help enrich your enjoyment of this series. It was great getting to see characters from previous books. This is a well developed story that kept me turning pages until the end. I had no problems connecting with the characters. They are strong and made me feel part of the story. This is a story about a man who has crushed her dreams as children but now are forced to deal with each other. Is he still a jerk and a heart breaker or could she be wrong about him? This really is a great romance story, engaging and fast paced. I highly recommend this book and this author.

It is a story that pulled me in from the very beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. I loved reading about the character of Milo Papatonis. The main female character in this story thinks that he is rude, selfish, and surly. He is the man who crushed her dreams when they were kids. Is Milo still the same person? What does the future hold for them both? Read this book to find out. The bantering back and forth between the characters had me smiling and laughing out loud. There are also heartwarming moments and times when I wondered what was going to happen next. It is the perfect enemies to lovers’ story. Romantic scenes included in the book. This is a story that once you start you will not want to put down. I highly recommend reading it.

It felt so good to catch up with the gang and see how everyone is doing and to meet new people. I love Lola! She was t at all what she seems at the beginning. Her personality comes out the better we get to know her and she’s a spunky one!
Jax needed to have his butt handed to him and thankfully it happened. I don’t understand why some guys are so dumb but they are and our job as women to educate them no matter the age of the female.
Ari is what I want my younger daughter to be like. Strong and independent, cautious with love but not so cautious she misses out on it. I love her Family and hope we see more if them in the future. (HINT, HINT!)
Loved this book and this series. Hope they don’t go anywhere anytime soon.

THE RUNAROUND: A Single Dad Romantic Comedy (CAROLINA CONNECTIONS BOOK 6) By SYLVIE STEWART 4 stars, So ok I’ve read plenty of other books by Sylvie, but this was by far my favourite read. The story of Jax being a single dad but always causing the heartbreak in the world of women is great, his character is so head strong he doesn’t realise he has such a good thing until its gone. His battle to get back what he lost is hard and his daughter doesn’t make it easy on him and somehow he becomes open to what could be. Told from the POV of Jax and Ari, this is a tale of love and hurt and understanding one another and the perspective of why things aren’t plain black and white. Definitely worth the read

THE RUNAROUND By Sylvie Stewart was the perfect romantic read. There is something to be said for a romantic comedy that just pulls at all of your emotions. I loved Jax and Ari; a little steam, a little sass, and a lot of humor. The story is told very well and the pacing was great. The Runaround by Sylvie Stewart was an amazing read. It was sweet, romantic, and funny. I loved Ari and Jax both as well as many of the other characters. They were definitely. Y favorite though. I loved the opening scene of the novel where Ari is sassy. I felt like it really pulled me in and had me wanting to know more about her character. Oh, and Jax pulled me in with his southern charm and the interesting tid bit about his daughter at the start. This was seriously an addictive read. The storyline had an excellent easy flow. There was great plot development and climax in this book. It was organized and well thought out. I also felt that the cover art was attractive and eye catching. I highly recommend this book!

I am in love with Sylvie Stewart’s books! All of her books bring such humor and heart every single time add in that its a single dad and I know I’ll love it! I’m such a sucker for the single dad stories! I completely loved the connection between Ari and Jax. Jax is so carefree and tries to steer clear of commitment and Ari is a smidge of a man-eater but when the flirtation between them escalate, a child is thrown into the mix. Several months later they are thrown back together! I loved the story and I loved these characters! Such a great read and I can’t wait for more from Miss Stewart!

I have read a few books from this author and she always continues to surprise me. I love a good single dad Romcom but this book exceeded all my expectations. This is the sixth book of the Carolina Connection series. This story can be read as a stand alone but there are previous characters in this story as well. I was so excited when I got this book. I could not stop once I started the book. It only took my a few hours to devour this incredible book.
Ari is a very talented woman that is ready for the big time. She is working two jobs just to make sure her dreams will come true. Ari has always dated the wrong type of guys until she meets the handsome Jax Crosby. She has been watching him for a while. Ari doesn’t want to get into a relationship right now. She was shocked to find out that she will be helping his daughter out with singing lessons. Ari can’t say no because that’s more money in her pocket. She slowly gets to know Jax and there is something there but what could it be. Is Ari ready to risk her dream for another one she doesn’t even know about?

I just finished reading The Runaround Carolina Connections. It was so good, the chemistry between Jax and Ariana were hot and steamy, but then funny, charming and down right sweet at times. The story pulled me in from the first page, and kept me enthralled till the final page. It’s one of those books that will make you laugh and cry, then smile and want to throw it across the room. Ariana and Jax seem to be two wrongs making a right. I would highly recommend this book if you want something that just keeps your interest through the whole book, one of those “I have time to read just one more chapter” kind of books. Its that good.

The Runaround is the 6th book in the Carolina Connections Series by Sylvie Stewart. I just loved this book; it was a refreshing book by a new to me author. I haven’t read all the books in this series but will be changing that soon. The two main characters this book follows are Jax and Ari, and let me tell you, you will either love them or want to smack them as your read. I was hooked on this book from the first page and couldn’t put it down until I was done. You won’t be disappointed with this book; I can’t wait to read more from this author. This can be read as a standalone

5 out of 5 stars The runaround is the sixth book in the Carolina Connection written by Sylvie Stewart, and she didn’t disappoint. I just loved the plot and the characters are amazing, funny and well written I just loved how they played off each other. We also get to see our favorite couple from the first five books. Ari the last thing she need is the messy complications of love when she got so many balls in the air and so many goals yet to accomplish. She always picked loser boyfriends they’re like martinis; they’re lots of fun at first, but the longer you hang out the bigger headache they’ll give you. In comes Jax he thinks he can tempt her to take a walk on the scary side and he’s using his daughter to reel her in. Jax has always been carefree he likes to stay 2 steps ahead of everything, so he never gets surprised but, guess what he just finds out that he is a dad to a 14year old girl. She wants nothing to do with him, He’s not ready to be a dad he doesn’t even know what to do. This is a great book and you will need to read the book to find out what happens with Ari and Jax and Jax’s daughter. I highly recommend this book/series….

The Runaround: A Single Dad Romantic Comedy (Carolina Connections Book 6) by Sylvie Stewart 4 Stars
This was a fun, lighthearted read. The banter between the characters was quite comical. For a romantic comedy, it had depth to the story. Jax is a man who can melt your panties with his southern charm. He knows his way around women and has many notches on his bedpost. Dealing with his fourteen year old daughter is completely different especially because he only met her seven months ago. If getting her singing lessons will keep her happy then so be it.
Ariana is a strong willed, potty mouthed woman who is goal oriented. She’s a breath of fresh air and I loved her. She’s had a string of loser ex- boyfriends and even though she’s immensely attracted to Jax, she won’t allow him to charm his way into her pants. Obviously fate has other plans.
I think the author did a good job showing the problems that Jax and his daughter had to overcome. The growth of their relationship was remarkable. The story was good and the characters are amazing. I would definitely recommend this book.

The Runaround is a single dad romantic comedy by Sylvie Stewart and is the 6th book in the Carolina Connections Series. This is the 2nd book that I have read by this author having previously read Then Again which was part of the Juniper Court Series. When reading this book I didn’t realise that it was part of a series set around a group of friends but thankfully each book in the series can be read as a standalone. In this book we get Jax and Ari’s story, and what a great story it is. This story will make you laugh so much and also move you to tears in parts too. I absolutely loved both Jax and Ari. Ari is just a total badass woman who takes absolutely no crap from anyone. She’s just awesome. Jax on the other hand has just discovered he is the father of a 14 year old daughter he knew nothing about and he’s struggling to cope. For me the star of this book is 14 year old Lola. At the beginning she hates Jax and is a typical monosyllabic teenager but as the story develops she realises he’s not the complete a-hole her mother made him out to be. The interactions between these 2 are amazing. Seeing the turmoil going through Jax’s head trying to cope with this new relationship, the love he has for Lola and how he sabotages his relationship with Ari thinking it’s the best thing in the long run. Also seeing Lola turn from this sullen, angry teen into an amazing young woman is also wonderful to read. Her growth throughout the book was written so well by the author. I realise that I’ve focussed on Jax and Lola and not really much on Jax and Ari but I can assure you that their story is wonderful and you will love it. Added to this are their group of friends, whose stories have been told in previous books in this series who really add so much to this story. I’d love to read some of their stories too.

The Runaround: A Carolina Connections #6, by Sylvie Stewart. Let me start off by saying I have read every single book in The Carolina Connections Series and I have absolutely loved them all!!! This book was no different. This is the sixth book in the series and I think they just keep getting better and better!! The chemistry between Jax and Ari is great. Since they first met, the flirting and little jabs with each other was definitely there. I couldn’t put this book down and I just couldn’t get enough of these two. I can not wait for more!!!

The Runaround: A Single Dad Romantic Comedy is the sixth book in the Carolina Connections by Sylvie Stewart. One thing that sticks out with this story is the fact that Sylvie Stewart can mix humor and romance. It was a fun read. I have a crush on Jax as my book boyfriend. Stewart keeps the storyline light and engaging. Every once and a while it is nice to be able to read a story and forget life for a while. This story has a humorous plot line and a sweet romance as well. This story is about Jax and Ari and Jax’s daughter Ari. I encourage you to read this story and fall in love with Jax as well.
