Natalie Hampton had it all. Movies, Magazines, and Hollywood. Until she lost it all, to gossip mixed with envy. Searching for friends was far and away. She needed someone on her side. When she had to leave behind everything, to find peace. She makes the best move she could think of. Can she find the peace she is looking for? Who will come to her rescue, and calm her sea of life.

Terri Lee has written this page turning story. A real look into the life of a star, behind what we see in magazines and movies. It may look like fun and fantasy. Do we really know what Natalie Hamptons really going through? This story is an eye opener, filled with tears. I love the characters in this book. Mostly the friends who stand behind Natalie. Well done Terri Lee! I want more though, looking forward to reading more from you.

Lost in Carmel by Terri Lee was an emotional read. I would give this book five out of five stars. I truly felt pulled into Natalie’s life and I did not want out. She was such a raw character to read. I relates to her flaws and the backdrops to this story were magical. Who wouldn’t break if they thought their life was a lie? Definitely an empowering read.

Every now and then I find myself lost in a novel that completely takes my breath away and makes me pause to re-evaluate my life and where I am in it. Lost in Carmel by Terri Lee definitely turned into one of those gems. I have not read anything by Terri Lee before this so I was not sure exactly what I would be getting myself into when I decided to give this book a go for the pure beauty that is the cover. I loved it and I am so glad that I did pick this up!

Lost in Carmel brings us the story of Natalie Hampton, a Hollywood star and pretty much America’s sweetheart. We get to see everything that comes with that title and all the dirty and dark secrets that often surround the lifestyle of the rich and famous. Things are not easy and she if faced with a lot of difficult life lessons that are of course complicated in general but then you add the extra issues of being in the spotlight and stuck to figure out how to navigate life feeling so very lonely. I adored this book and found myself reeling from the emotions from the very beginning to the gorgeous end. It was a nice little vacation to Rome as well and I loved the descriptions of the scenes that made me feel as if I was right there with Natalie. I look forward to seeing what else is available from Terri Lee while I anxiously await to see what will come out new from her as well!

Very good read. Bittersweet story. I left it feeling all was right in the world. In the beginning you see how fragile Natalie is. As you progress through the story, we see how she got there. In Lost In Carmel, Terri Lee gives us some foundational principles that a listening heart could use in their own life. Natalie faces many issues that most of us face, and hard decisions. Even though it’s just a story, it’s a story that imparts hope. Easy to read and fast paced. A bittersweet romance you will like.

This is the first book that I have read by this author and I thought it was awesome! It was well written and had me on a roller coaster of emotions that I didn’t want to end! I gobbled up this story and I’ve been in a reading funk for a few days so this was the perfect story to bring me out of it! The characters are relatable and I was able to connect with them quickly. They’ve been hurt in the past and are in some serious need of some healthy healing. Hopefully they can come together and help each other out! Go get this story now so you can read it because I would absoutely recommend it!

This is the first book I have read from this author and I’m so glad I did. I am now a fan of this author. I absolutely love her writing. This story is very emotional but it is worth the read. It makes you feel like you are one of the characters in the book. I was hooked on this story right from the beginning. You can’t help but to fall in love with these characters. It only took me a few hours to devour this incredible book.

Natalie Hampton is America’s sweetheart. She rose to stardom at a young age. Natalie had the perfect life or that’s what it looked like. She is loved by everyone until they all turn against her. Natalie goes away to see if she get herself better. She meets a mysterious man that changes her life. Natalie has to also think about what is best for her daughter. Will Natalie find a new and better life or will her old life suck her right back in?

Lost in Carmel by Terri Lee. From the description I was intrigued by this story. Once I dove in I knew I was in for a wonderful ride with our main character who takes quite the journey of life. This author knows how to write emotions that need to be felt while reading. I was definitely on a bit of an emotional roller coaster and absolutely loved every minute of it. The characters just pulled me in and I didn’t want to leave. The storyline came alive right before my eyes and even the smallest of details was covered. The storyline had me hooked and it’s written well. I’m giving this story a five star review and highly recommend it. I’ll definitely be looking for more from this wonderful author!

A great read about recovery. Natalie Hampton has always been a Hollywood movie star, living a life made of lies. In a bad mental state, she ends up in Rome. She is unsure at first, but with small steps and the help of new friends she makes her way into recovery and finding her true self. But when Hollywood lies find their way into Roman paradise, will Natalie return unscathed?
A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns that I just couldn’t put down. Well developed characters like Natalie finding her feet but strong underneath. Her journey of discovery and the scenes with the therapist Anne were moving and powerful, with a relatable and emotive depiction of mental illness and its struggles and small steps wonderfully written. Great cast of supporting character like the kind Anne or the funny but caring friend Monty or the sweet Nico.
I loved the visual detail throughout he novel like with the piazza with its little cobbled streets and cates full of life and people. Or the sky throughout the novel with its bold and vivid colours beautifully written.
I also loved the use of Italy with its food and culture and people given the respect it deserves and giving the novel a sense of character. I liked the use of time with the dates in chapter titles to help differentiate between past and present. The flashbacks worked well to display what happened and didn’t disrupt from the narrative of the present. I also liked the use of suspense with small details revealed slowly to keep you reading to find out what happened. Overall, a great read and I would give it five stars.

A glamour filled Hollywood life, turns sour for America’s Sweetheart. It’s 1977 and Natalie Hampton is already hanging on by her fingernails, when headlines expose cracks in the carefully crafted veneer of her life. Broken and bruised she flees the country; searching for a place to heal. In Rome, tucked away from prying eyes, she finds the strength to claw her way out of the deep end of depression.

Across an Italian Piazza, a gorgeous man with a wounded soul of his own catches her hearts’ attention. She’s on a journey to save herself, but is there room for love to find its way in?

If love is hard to find, Natalie soon realizes, it can be even harder to hold onto. When a lie takes on a life of its own, she finds herself in the fight of her life, where everything she holds dear is threatened.

Though set against the lush backdrops of Hollywood, Rome, and Carmel California, Natalie’s story is every woman’s story. A fight for self. A fight for love.

From the time I was a little girl I’ve had stories swimming in my head. The beginning of my love affair with words. It’s the one constant in my life. Hairstyles come and go. Thank God. (Does anyone remember the dreaded Pixie Cut?) But the love of a pen sailing across the page is something of which I’ve never tired. It’s been said that writing is somewhere between torture and fun. Why do we tortured souls with ink-stained fingers do it, you ask? Because we have no choice. Words and phrases pile up in the dusty corners of our minds until there’s no room left for anything else. A story demands to be written, when it’s ready to be written. Kind of like having a baby. Once it starts pushing…there’s no holding back. My tag line is: Romance may be pretty but love stories are real.I chase them down with a passion, unwilling to settle for the tale that sits on the surface. Digging until I reveal the truth. Beneath the pretty layers we present to the world, we find relationships stripped of pretense. Stories of life and love and families. Standing in their raw vulnerability, we see our friends, our sisters,… ourselves. Barefaced, they are even more beautiful. Without a protective shield, we are able to recognize them for who they truly are. Deep down is where the real story lives, and that’s exactly where I want to be when I’m writing. Because love is messy. And glorious. I want to roll around in a story and fall in love. Want to come with me?

Lost in Carmel by Terri Lee was emotional, raw, realistic, and wow. I was hooked by Natalie’s story. He retelling of her life was heart warming and tearful. As I read, I felt like I was in the room with her. Herr emotions were palpable and its almost as if I felt them right a long with her. I was amazed with the authors ability to portray these feelings from the pages of this book. I easily got lost in her work. This book was way more than I expected when I first picked it up. I was very impressed. It had an easy storyline that was organized and smooth. It was also descriptive and the author made it easy to visualize each scene. It was by far one of my favorite reads.

The story Lost in Carmel by Terri Lee is an amazing book. It pulled me in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. The story had my emotions going up and down the entire time I was reading it. I loved reading about Natalie Hampton. She is the main character in the book. The author did an amazing job of making her character come alive. Natalie is a character that I couldn’t help but grow to love with each chapter that I read. This story tells of Natalie’s journey and about those she meets along the way as well as the situations that she finds herself in. There are ups and downs, heartbreaking and heartwarming moments. I found Natalie a woman who is intelligent, strong, and one that learns to be self-reliant. What does the future hold for Natalie? Read this book to find out. I enjoyed the interactions between the additional characters in the story and Natalie. This is a book that touched my heart. If you are looking for a story that has an amazing storyline and wonderful characters, look no further. I highly recommend reading it.

Lost in Carmel by Terri Lee is an emotional and completely relatable story. This is the first book that I have read by this author and I have to say I was so impressed with the way she crafted this story. It is so easy to look at the typical Hollywood lifestyle and assume you know it all. However this book takes a look at the darker side to it and really takes you on an emotional rollercoaster.
It is so easy to connect with Natalie and empathise with that she is feeling. While she might be a star her feelings and her concerns are completely normal.
I was impressed with this boll from start to finish and it has definitely whet my appetite for more books by this author.

Lost in Carmel by Terri Lee is an emotive period piece set in 1977. This emotive story focuses on the life of Hollywood Star and America’s Sweetheart, Natalie Hampton. She has risen to the top of the Hollywood ladder, child actor to movie star. Everyone loved her- until they turned on her. The price of fame you say. Well this story gives us an in-depth look at the ‘price tag’. What seems perfect, glamorous, and enviable- may not be all it’s cracked up to be. When Natalie’s life turns upside down, she flees to Italy to regroup, and find/rediscover her ‘true’ self- and unexpectedly, romance blossoms. But will it be the lasting, forever kind of love?
Terri Lee knows just how to draw you in and keep you engaged. Adding drama and raw emotion to her story in just the right amounts to hold her readers attention right through to the end. This is the first book of hers that I have read, so I wasn’t sure what to expect going in. I can honestly say she has won me over with this wonderful piece of women’s fiction- and I will definitely be following her work from here on out.
Terri Lee paints such rich and vibrant scenes. Bringing Hollywood, Italy, and Carmel to life. I was there with Natalie, experiencing all the sights and sounds- right alongside her.

Beautiful!
Thank you, Terri Lee!

Lost in Carmel by Terri Lee is a raw and realist look into the life of a Hollywood star. It is engaging and brings to the surface many demons that I have fought in my own life. There are certainly a few tears to be shed as the story was very powerful for me. The life of a Hollywood film star looks glamourous from the outside but that is after we have seen the polished version in the magazines or films. Have you ever wondered what lurks beneath the surface of that smile, what their life is really truly like? Well Terri gives a look at what that is like and does not sugar coat it, all the dirty laundry is out there for all to see. I love the main characters and especially the best friend, he cracked me up each and every time. It is also a very passionate read that grabs you in the heart.
Natalie Hampton a Hollywood it girl and America’s Darling, has been in the business since she was a young girl. She has seen it all, she has done it all and the world is her oyster. That is until it’s not. That is until it takes her to a dark, dark place. That place in the world where you wonder just who exactly you are. A place where you look at yourself in the mirror and go “who are you?” A place in the world where you have fallen in the dark hole and cannot see a way out. It is also a place that you start from to find the real you that has been so long forgotten. A place where you can learn to re-love yourself, to find your self-worth. A place from where you can find real love.

Rome is a beautiful and relaxing metropolis and I could picture vividly the words and world that Terri created for this wonderful story that left me captivated and reminiscing.

This is my first book by this author, I loved it and can’t wait to see what is next. This is a well written story that took me on an emotional roller coaster. It has been awhile since I read a book that has taken me on this ride and this one certainly did. The characters are connectable and made the story realistic. This is about two people who have been hurt and really are in need of healing. Is it possible they can find that in each other? I highly recommend this book and find out.
