Ashleigh is a teacher during the school year, and a music reviewer during the summer. She moves next door to Diane, a sweet older lady. They have lunch every week and then Diane says her son is coming home. But doesn’t tell Ash, who he is. The moment Ash and Blu meet, it’s like love at first sight. They cannot be without each other. They teach each other things, and ash teaches blu how to garden. He introduces ash to all the members of Balefire. At first the band mates seem to have an issue but the more Ashleigh is around the warm up to her.<br />This was so funny, cute. A little bit of tears towards the end and then happy all over again. And it’s mildly spicy!! Which is a win win all the way around! Cannot wait to read the entire series.

Sing For Me (The Balefire Series Book 2)

Ashleigh has loved their music and dreamt of the lead singer Blu in Balefire for quite some time. I think most girls have had that dream including me (Mark Slaughter was going to be my husband) as teenagers and young adults, but most know there is no chance we will ever get to meet them let alone fall in love.

I found myself getting lost in their story intertwined with memories and dreams from way too many years ago. I absolutely loved Blu and Ashleigh together. She didn’t cave to him and his ego which I think made him realize she was worth the work he had to do to get her.

I hated having to put this book down, so much so I may have dropped my kindle on my face which I hadn’t done in a while. I kept fighting sleep to get a little further into the book. I already have the next book on my TBR list and I cannot wait to get started.

I absolutely loved this book! It shouldn’t surprise me because I thoroughly enjoy this author’s work, but I was caught off guard by just how much I adored it. I like rock star romances in general, but this one felt a bit different in a refreshing way. I found myself quite invested in Ashleigh and Blu right from the get-go. Blu is naturally a ladies’ man who doesn’t have to ask twice to find company. Ashleigh is the girl next door who seems very hard-working and down to earth. I really loved that she doesn’t care how famous he is, she’s going to give him a piece of her mind. Will there be a spark between these two, or do opposites really not attract? I highly recommend picking up this book (and series) to enjoy this wonderful romantic adventure.

Sing For Me (The Balefire Series Book 2) by Tam DeRudder Jackson is great contemporary romance

The groupies and superstars who typically command all of his attention are nothing like Ashleigh Baker. She spends her days making a blossoming showpiece out of her rental yard while wearing a lovely floppy hat and having her knees covered in dirt. Even though she is the most beautiful lady he has ever seen, she acts as like she doesn’t care a bit about him. But she has been the only thing on his mind since he first set eyes on her.

Every page had you hanging on every sentence and I couldn’t wait to see what would happen. It is a very unique story with even compelling people. The story really transports you into this world. I couldn’t put the book down.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this story. The writing is smooth and the story moves along drawing the reader with it. I felt like I was dropped into their lives and felt like I k ew them. It did seem to slow down about half to three quarters of the way through making this seem a little overlong. There was too much time, in my opinion, spent on tour detailing their life. Some of that could have been omitted to keep the storyline moving and the reader mot getting bored.

The author does an excellent job building these characters. Blu with his determination to get the girl. His swoon worthy singing and thoughtfulness made him a memorable personality. His realization going from playboy to boyfriend. Ashleigh did a great job keeping her head about her. My only issue is how quickly she went back to trusting and believing him. Seemed a little unrealistic.

I want to give a “Hey” to a special character. I liked his Mom as a good secondary character. I missed how we never got her story on why she stays in the house and at her job. Anyway I love how she doesn’t see him as a rockstar…just her son. That is cool! She is a positive upbeat lady.

Overall this is a wonderful read. I struggled to put it down multiple times because it is so good. I look forward to reading more in this series.

Sing For Me (Balefire, #2)Sing For Me by Tam DeRudder Jackson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Having read and enjoyed the previous book in this series I was looking forward to being back with the members of the band, Balefire, and I was not disappointed. This is lead singer Blu’s story, his entire life is his music and he loves everything that comes with it, “sex, booze and rock ‘n’ roll”. Whilst touring with the band Blu has his pick of female groupies and celebrities keen to be seen with him, and he’s usually fine with one night flings, until he meets Ashleigh. Ashleigh Baker is the girl next door who spends her days creating flower show pieces, in her cute floppy hat and with dirt on her knees. Unfortunately for Blu, whilst she’s all he can think about, she just wants to avoid him, and she does. Ashleigh is a freelance music reviewer, who’s happy with her little house with a much longed for long term lease. She can’t believe it when the guy on the Harley, her neighbour, is actually Blu Connolly from her favourite band. However Ashleigh is well aware of his reputation and has no plans to get involved with him, even though he’s temptation on two legs. Her plan to avoid him would be easier if Blu wasn’t on a mission to spend as much time as possible with her. This was a heartwarming opposites attract romance which kept me gripped throughout. Once again the descriptive narrative brought the characters and setting vividly to life, and made me feel apart of the Balefire bands world!

Sing For Me (The Balefire Series Book 2) by Tam DeRudder Jackson – Review by M Policicchio

Sing For Me (Balefire, #2)Sing For Me by Tam DeRudder Jackson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Playboy rockstar Blu Connolly is heading home to visit his mother while his band is on hiatus from touring. He just needs a little time with his mom, some of her great cooking, and some time to be anonymous in his hometown. Blu’s plans are quickly thwarted by his mom’s new neighbor.

Ashleigh Baker has finally found a place that she can call home and put down some roots. After growing up with a military father, constantly on the move, she has found a spot where the landlord encourages her hobby of planting flowers. When Ashleigh figured out who she was living next to she never thought she would actually get to meet the lead singer for one of her all-time favorite bands. Ashleigh spends her time as a substitute teacher and freelance music reviewer.

The moment Blu arrives in the neighborhood, he loudly announces his presence by revving his motorcycle loudly late one night. Ashleigh, not caring that he is famous, comes out and tears him a new one for being rude. Blu is entranced by this angry beauty. He starts finding reasons to be around her. No matter how charming he tries to be, Ashleigh isn’t falling for it because of his reputation and she knows that eventually he will be leaving. No reason to get attached. But things don’t always go as planned.

Through women blatantly throwing themselves at Blu, he stays true to Ashleigh. She slowly starts to trust and believe that Blu can be the man she needs. When the band’s manager purposely plots to break up Blu and Ashleigh, things get explosive only the way they can in the world of rock ‘n’ roll!

There is so much good in this one. It keeps you reading. You have hope for Blu, that he really is a changed man. When you learn the reason that his mother doesn’t want to move, it gets you all misty. Excellent story. Great read!!

Sing For MeSing For Me by Tam DeRudder Jackson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the 2nd book in the Balefire Series. Even though it can be read as a standalone I do recommend reading them in order so you get a deeper understanding of all the characters and their personalities. This is a rock star romance which I love. The main characters in this book are so well written and just how you would imagine a romance with a rock star to be. Ashleigh lives a quiet life. She loves her work and lives for her garden. She knows who Blu is and is a fan of Balefire but she also knows about Blus reputation and she isn’t silly enough to fall into his trap and get her heart broken.
Blu is the lead singer of Balefire. His voice mesmerises and has women falling on their knees in front of him all the time. Because of this Blu has a reputation of a playboy. He has different women all the time and never pays attention to who they are. It’s part of his life style and if women are prepared to drop their knickers for him when ever he asks then of courses he’s going to enjoy the perk.
Women are putty in his hands. Until he meets Ashleigh. She doesn’t fall or go doe eyed in his presence. In fact she comes across like she hates the ground he walks on.
To Blu this is a breath of fresh air and makes her more appealing to him. As their attraction grows he realises he needs her in his life to be more than just a conquest but will Ashleigh see past the reputation and the playboy image and open her heart to him?

This is a rollercoaster ride of a read. Blu messes up countless times as he learns to navigate the situation he finds himself in. This is a slow burn romance and what I love about it is that Ashleigh is strong enough to put Blu in his place. Their relationship isn’t plain sailing but the journey is beautiful to watch.

This was a great 5 star read. Being that this book is part of a series, reading book one will be helpful but not necessary. I love Rockstar romance and this one did not disappoint. We see more into Blu and his bad boy rocker life. He decides to take a break and ends up meeting someone that intrigues him. Ashleigh knows who he is and tries to keep him at arms length due to his colorful past. As they spend more time together they develop a friendship that Blu wants to take further but Ashleigh isn’t quite sure. Will he be able to get through her walls? Can they have a HEA?

Overall I really enjoyed this book. The characters were great. The author does a great job with her writing and I look forward to reading more from this series. If you like Rockstar romance you will want to 1-click and get started today.

I gotta say I had fun reading this book. The chemistry between Ashleigh and Blu had me holding my sides when I was laughing. They were fun with each other and Ashleigh challenged Blu to be better and the shenanigans that Blu did to try and wear Ashleigh own had me in stitches. Both are really sweet characters and there were some moments where I wanted to beat them over their heads, but overall I really did like the characters. I love when author’s do the dual POV’s because its great getting an inside look of how the character’s thinking works. Out of all the characters in Sing For me, Blu’s mom was my absolute favorite. She was caring, wholesome and definitely made sure that Blu stayed grounded and didnt let him get away with things just because he was a big rockstar now. She seriously need her own book! I can’t wait to read about the other band members books, and for sure will be adding this author to my bookshelf so I can read her books over and over again!

Wowza! Tam has done it again for me. Blu and Ashleigh are everything I love in a pair. Her no nonsense attitude and his playboy lifestyle, I knew it was going to be electric from the jump, and I was NOT disappointed. Their chemistry through this book was OFF the charts, no matter how much one or the other was trying to deny it. This world (the rock & roll world) has always been a world I love to get lost in. And Ash just fits into so perfectly. I love her drive and determination to make sure she is still her own person. This story is one I will definitely be reading more than once. I can’t wait to read more of the Balefire books. They are gonna be ELECTRIC!!!

I absolutely loved this book!!!! Blue is a musician and Ashleigh is a music reviewer. When I first started this book, I had no idea what I was getting into, however it definitely turned into one of my favorites. I can’t wait to read more from Tam DeRudder Jackson!!!! I want to read the whole Balefire series now. This story leads down some weary roads but it might end somewhere along the best road of living and knowing where Blu’s life might end up. There are some moments in this story that make it seem more real then anything. I love how Tam’s books always makes me feel connected to them.

I have enjoyed each and everyone of the Balefire Series I have read. I love a good rockstar book and Tam DeRudder Jackson is one of the best I have read at writing them. Blu and Ashleigh were fantastic characters, who were dynamic together. They had wonderful banter and I enjoyed reading the two of them interact with one another. I also love how well she uses a dual perspective to tell this story. I always enjoy (when it is done well) seeing the characters alternate in telling the story, she also gives enough of an overlap that you feel that you are seeing things from both perspectives. I have read all of the series and enjoy each and every one, but if this is the first one you are drawn to, you can definitely read it as a standalone. This is a fantastic book and I am excited to see what happens next in the Balefire Series!

Blu Connolly has the world at his finger tips, the lead singer of one of the most successful rock bands in America and the world. Girls have never been a problem and the variety is the spice of life but as the Asian tour comes to a end Blu decides to spend sometime with him mom.

Ashleigh is an army brat moving from base to base she is pleased that she has a home base and a lovely garden she can tend to and create a beautiful, tranquil space. Being friends with her next-door neighbour is a highlight on a Saturday when they indulge in lunch, she is enjoying her life. Then he comes riding into her life and will things be the same again.

Blu comes riding into his mom’s street on his Harley and revving his engine to upset his mom’s neighbour but when a blonde bombshell coming charging out and has a go at him, he then has a attraction to her that he can’t seem to shake. As they get to know each other can Ashleigh get past the cocky image of the lead singer to the Blu who helps in her garden and is normal and sweet, you will need to read to find out.

This is the second book in this series and it is just as good as the first, with the characters that are so well developed and suited for each other. The story flows brilliantly and I am so glad to ready about Blu and Ash. Although this book can be read as a standalone story the first book in this series is just as good.

Blu and Ash have a chemistry that just jumps off the page and you get to see a different side to him from the first book, you tend to have the same attitude as Ashleigh when first meeting Blu as the arrogant lead singer but his softer side it beautiful to read.

Can wait to read the next book in this series.

The Lead singer’s story
The second book in the Balefire series is Blu Connolly’s story. As the lead singer of Balefire he has had a life full of touring and everything that comes with a rock ‘n’ roll life but didn’t know what he needed until Ashleigh. What follows is a brilliant contemporary rockstar romance that had me hooked. With off the charts chemistry, medium burn romance, some steam, relatable characters and strong storyline it’s a worthy read. Even though this can be read as a stand-alone it is worth starting with book 1 – you won’t be disappointed. Highly Recommend.

Sing For Me is the second book in the Balefire series by Tam DeRudder Jackson. It is a New Adult contemporary rockstar romance with ‘the girl-next-door’ element, tension, chemistry, sparks, emotion, secrets, drama, angst, and hot spicy details.
I know that I have come into this series a little backwards, reading in descending order, but luckily these books can be read as standalones without feeling lost in the storyline, as each book in the series focuses on a different member of the Balefire rock band.
This is Blu Connolly’s turn, and he’s the sexy lead singer of the band. Ashleigh is his new next-door neighbour who captivates Blu more than he was prepared for. But, sometimes love comes unexpectedly- as these two discover.
Definitely my favourite of the series, so far.
Happy Reading…

First up I have to say that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this fun series!! Set around the Rock Band Balefire each book is full of fantastic characters and interesting storylines. Some of them you will love and some you will love to hate!! lol well I know I sure did anyway. This book is set around Balefires lead singer Blu who meets his mums neighbour Ashleigh and is instantly attracted to her but for the first time in a very long time he has to actually work to make a connection with her instead of her just falling for him straight away because of who he is. I love these two characters so much and loved reading their story as they come together. I can’t wait to read more about the boys of Balefire. I love this authors style and fun storylines so I am sure there is a lot more fun coming our way with this amazing series. I say bring it on!!!!

I enjoyed the story of Blu and Ashleigh. Blu showed that he had a softer side than the hard rocker that everyone thinks he is. Ashleigh finally mellowed from the uptight, thinking that he’s a pig-headed rocker, and saw him for his true side. I loved this story. It’s a quick read with lots of banter that will have you chuckling. I found Blu’s mom quite entertaining. She is lovely and funny. I think she needs her own story. The characters in this story made this so entertaining and humorous. The story is well-written and very well-done. Again, I love Colorado stories using our beautiful landmarks and trying to guess locations. The details in the writing are beautiful. This is a lovely romance for the rocker lockers and it’s a must.

Sing For Me is the second book in the adult rock romance series Balefire. The books all carry on from each other, but it can be read as a standalone. It is an erotic contemporary story.
The series focus’ on each member of the band Balefire and this is Blu and Ashleigh’s story.
The story is told in dual POV giving a deeper depth to who the characters are. It is erotic, sensuous, seductive, passionate and intense. There is sex, booze, and rock ‘n’ roll. The story is a quick and easy read as we travel along with the pull and desire of the relationship.
Blu the lead singer of Balefire one of the hottest bands around and can’t help but fall for the neighbour that is so not his type. Game on!
Ashleigh loves her peaceful life, well her once peaceful life. When her sexy neighbour roars into town it takes all, her will power to ignore him. He of course has other ideas.
If you love erotic stories that are sexy full of rock ‘n’ roll and likable characters, then get your hands on this book and this series. You won’t regret it.

My entire life is my music—and all the trappings that come with it. Sex, booze, and rock ’n’ roll is all I ever wanted. Touring the world as the lead singer of Balefire, I have it all. Until on hiatus, I meet the girl next door.

Ashleigh Baker is nothing like the groupies and celebrities who usually have all my attention. In her cute floppy hat with her knees stained with dirt, she spends her days creating a flowering show piece from her rented yard. She’s the most gorgeous woman I’ve ever met, and she acts like she doesn’t want a damn thing to do with me. But from the moment I laid eyes on her, she’s all I can think about.

Ashleigh

Growing up the only child of an Air Force Colonel, all I wanted was to stay in one place for more than a minute. When I score a pretty little house with a long-term lease, I just want to grow my flowers and my freelancing gig as a music reviewer. Then a loud Harley wakes me from a sound sleep and I discover my neighbor is Blu Connolly. Yeah, that Blu Connolly, lead singer for my favorite band Balefire. With his killer good looks and panty-melting voice, he’s a walking temptation to sin. Though I do my best to avoid him, it seems Blu has other ideas. He’s on a mission to wear me down, let him in, but what happens when he stops wanting to sing for me?

Another entertaining story about the members of the Balefire rock band. This time it’s Adam Tron’s turn to find love, and he finds it with pop diva Cristy Valor. Cristy is used to creating scandals and headlines, and now she’s joining Balefire on their latest tour. As soon as she steps onto the stage in one of her wild costumes, and he hears her sexy alto voice Adam is hooked. The fact that she can party hard and keep up with him and the rest of the boys also gets his attention, and with their obvious chemistry, it’s not long before Adam wants an actual relationship with Cristy. However, he feels like she’s holding back from him, but he’s determined to be patient.
Meanwhile, Cristy is happy flirting with the poster boy for tall, dark and sexy, Adam and the chemistry when they have sex is amazing. When he wants more than just sex, Cristy pulls away, as she has a secret and one which gives her nightmares. Throughout her career she’s prevented the tabloids from looking into her past, and she’s worried that if she opens up to Adam her secret will be discovered. Worse than that she’s worried what Adam will think if he finds out the truth and she doesn’t want to get her heart broken. The chemistry between Adam and Cristy sizzles off the page and leads to some steamy scenes. As usual the author brings the world of Balefire vividly to life, making me feel immersed in the story and engaged with the characters.

Hot For Me (The Balefire Series Book 4) by Tam DeRudder Jackson – Review by Kiana Corley

Hot For Me (Balefire, #4)Hot For Me by Tam DeRudder Jackson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

An amazing read with wonderful character. Tam does a great job of bringing up real-world problems in this book.

This book follows the story of Adam and Cristy. Adam is the bassist for one of the largest rock bands in the world. He has a plethora of women that want him and want even a minute of his time. Cristy is a pop singer that does not do real relationships. Most are ones of convenience that benefit her and the other person.

When Adam’s band asks Cristy to join them on tour a lot happens. Her confidence is alluring and draws him in along with most of the crowds they play for. Adam is steady and helps keep the pace for the band but now this little vixen has started to shake things up.

Can the bad boy rocker catch the eye of the beloved pop star? What happens when you add heat and a long tour? Will past secrets stay hidden or threaten everything for one of them?

Read to find out if they can overcome hurdles or if they are just having fun. This book is steamy so I suggest you have some water to help cool you off.

Hot For Me (The Balefire Series Book 4) by Tam DeRudder Jackson – Review by Angela Shirley

Hot For Me (Balefire, #4)Hot For Me by Tam DeRudder Jackson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Adam Tron is part of the biggest rock band of the century and as such can have his choice of woman but as his friends in the band are slowly finding there futures he is feeling a bit lost at the moment. Although he has a plan that hopefully will bringing with the woman who has dreamed about for a while now but never approach.

Christy Valor has overcome a lot in her life to get to the heights of the Pop world, so when one of the hottest Rock bands asks her to come and tour for some of there dates she jumps at the chance, although full of sass and seduction she is really looking forward to Tron, his bass speaks to her and if his music anything to go by he would be a brilliant lover, a bit of fun for the tour.

Although they strike up a relationship on the road, Adam feels like there is a secret with Christy that she is not comfortable sharing, yet. But, we need to get through Adam’s manager and Christy’s Manager who seem it is there right to sabotage the relationship from the beginning.

This is the first book I have read in this series and it can be read as a stand alone book, but I am determine to see how each of the other band members find there awesome women. This story is full of pace and you delve straight into the action from the first chapter.

I love the characters of Adam and Christy, as they gel well together and the chemistry which sparks of the age makes you want to keep turning the page to see where the story takes you. There are also great secondary characters with the sense of a family with the band comes off the page and you get the feeling of care and protection from them. I have to say I could have crawled into book and punched the manager Garrett but in the end you do have a sense of sadness for him but not much, Lol.

I can’t wait to read the next book and the books before this ones, as you have made a fan of me.

Stay For Me (The Balefire Series Book #5) by Tam DeRudder Jackson – Review by Angela Hayes

Stay For Me (The Balefire Series Book 5)Stay For Me by Tam DeRudder Jackson

Stay For Me is the fifth book in the Balefire series by Tam DeRudder Jackson. It is a contemporary second chances rockstar romance, with past pain, love, loss, heartache, drama, humour, emotion, angst, plenty of chemistry, and steam.
Even though this is the fifth book in the series, it could be read as a standalone if you wanted, as each book in the series focuses on a different member of the Balefire rock band.
I have to be honest, I really wasn’t sure I was going to enjoy this book going in, as I wasn’t a fan of Garrett as he’d been a bit of jerk in the past (books). So, I was prepared to not like this book at all. But Ms. DeRudder Jackson surprised me and won me over through the course of the story. Ten years ago, Garret made the biggest mistake of his life. Now he has a chance for a re-do… What happens? Will Love win out in the end? No spoilers here, you really should read all the intriguing developments for yourself.
Happy Reading…

Thank you, Tam DeRudder Jackson!

Stay For Me (The Balefire Series Book 5) by Tam DeRudder Jackson – Review by Shannen Kern

Stay For Me (The Balefire Series Book 5)Stay For Me by Tam DeRudder Jackson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I never miss a book by this author and I’m glad to see the series continuing! I love everything about Tam DeRudder Jackson’s writing. The way she pulls you in and makes you completely forget about what’s going on around you. The world she creates encapsulates you so quickly that you don’t even realize what happened. Garrett broke Olivia’s heart years ago when he chose his career over his future love life with her. He says he has never forgotten her, but she’s not falling for it quite so easily. Fool me once! Olivia used that pain as fuel to get her name recognized as a music video director, but it’s starting to flame out. Will she give him a chance to show her what he’s made of, or has the pain of him leaving left her too devastated to try? I highly recommend picking up not only this book, but the entire Balefire series!

Stay for Me
By: Tam DeRudder Jackson

This is the second book in the Balefire series that I have read, but it is the fifth in the series. This book is so well written and it sucks you right in. This book features Garret, who is definitely the one member of Balefire I have had a hard time warming up to. However, this time it gives some insight into his personality and demeanor. Years ago, Olivia was the one who got away. The one that he left for the band. This time he gets a second chance at love with Olivia. However, will he mess it up again or will she be too hurt from before to even let him in. I definitely recommend picking this one up to see what happens. It packs on the steam as well as showing well written characters.
