The Crown of Stones: Magic-Borne (Book 3) by C. L. Schneider – Review by Liz Vrchota

Magic-Borne (The Crown of Stones, #3)Magic-Borne by C.L. Schneider
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Crown of Stones: Magic-Borne, is the final and third book in the series form CL Schneider. I found this book to be a great conclusion to the series and just as fast paced and enthralling as the last two. These books are not standalone novels so I would read books one and two prior to finishing this review or other books first. Be prepared when you do pick this one up to carve out a chunk of time to devote to the story. It is a long winded novel at 500 something pages and I found myself looking at the clock in disbelief at 3 am because I just needed to know what happens next. Totally worth it though and the novel takes you on a wonderful and vivid adventure. There is a tad of something for every sci-fi lover in this one. From time travel, magic, and action that will have you on the edge of your seat. The characters are well developed and loveable even when you want to shake a few through the kindle screen. I look forward to seeing what will come next form CL Schneider and if it will be another fabulous sci-fi type novel or something with a new twist.

The Crown of Stones: Magic-Borne (Book 3) by C. L. Schneider

The Crown of Stones: Magic-Bourne is the third and final book in The Crown of Stones series. I’ve truly enjoyed this entire series and I’m a bit sad it’s finished but I’m definitely going to be reading more from this Author. This is a continuation of Ian’s story and is packed with action and danger. Once again I found myself lost in the pages and couldn’t put it down till the end. There’s some twists and turns that had me on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what happens next . Will Ian have the power and the will to change what needs to be changed ?Can he save them from the self appointed emperor? Find out what happens next in this Epic ending to an amazing trilogy. I can’t recommend this book/series enough you won’t be disappointed. I can’t wait to see what this Author has for next.

This is the 3rd and final book in The Crown Of Stones Series.

It follows the continuing story of Ian Troy and his friends as they set out to ride the world of the evil Jem. But after an attack their resistance has fallen and Ian is struggling to control the magic inside him.

Ian is sent on a journey back in time to try and find out how to control the crowns magic, how to stop the spell thats changing him into an eldring and how to defeat his father so peace can return. This is no easy journey, people will be lost and things will be revealed that weren’t expected.

I really enjoyed this series and this last book definately didn’t disappoint.

The Crown of Stones: Magic-Borne by CL Schneider is the third and final installment of The Crown of Stones series. This is a fantastic ending to a great trilogy of books. Ian Troy’s story has been amazing to follow and I feel the author left the story in a good place. This is definitely a series you want to read in order because one book leads to the next. I love the amount of time and detail the author puts into her stories and this one doesn’t disappoint. I am sad to see this one end but the author did a good job on the ending. I look forward to what this author writes next.

Magic-Borne (The Crown of Stones, #3)Magic-Borne by C.L. Schneider
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

MAGIC-BORNE is the third book in “The Crown of Stones” trilogy. This is a series that has to be read in order. You would be doing yourself and the series a disservice if you read it all wily nily out of order.

This was the (I believe) the longest book of the trilogy and it took me a bit to read it. I was reading the books one right after the other, but I found I had to pick this one up and down a few times to be able to finish it. There is a lot going on… Action, adventure, intrigue, redemption and time travel.

The overall arch of the trilogy was well plotted. These three books together form an epic fantasy adventure with very clear cut beginning, middle and end. i would guess this author is NOT a “pantser” and probably has a timeline with pins and threads tying everything together.

While this is the end of Ian’s story, there is room for more. The universe this trilogy is set in has lots of untold stories and I feel like it could go on for a bit more.

I recommend this series and thing it would be an enjoyable read from YA to Elder.

5 Star
The Crown of Stones: Magic-Scars (Book 2) by C. L. Schneider is a wonderfully written fantasy book. I’ve been patiently waiting for this installment of this Trilogy and to say I wasn’t disappointed is an understatement. I found myself lost in the pages and couldn’t stop reading till the end. I had to know what happens next. This story is the continuation of the first Book. Isn’t wakes up after being in prison for two years and has no clue who he is ,where is or even what is going on. He’s been tortured and drugged to keep his magic suppressed. Ian is really struggling to put his life back together and pick up the pieces ,he’s not the same man he was before. He’s there only hope but he has no memory from amnesia and the Crown is broken. Find out what happens next in this absolute must read. I can’t wait to dive into the next Book in this series.

Best book I’ve read in years
This is honestly the best book I’ve read in years and thats not just the best in the fantasy genre but in general. It has mystery, suspense, romance and lots of battles! It had me hooked straight away which to me is very important in a book. I loved the way the author brought in crystals and gemstones and it was genius the way they intertwined with the main storyline throughout the book. I loved following the main character Ian as he is a character with depth. Hes someone who has so much power inside him that he doesn’t know what to do with. I feel privileged to have read it and cant wait to read more from C.L. Schneider!

5-Stars

The Crown of Stones: Magic-Borne (Book 3) by C. L. Schneider is the final book in this series. It’s an amazing conclusion to one of the best fantasy series I have read in a long time. It continues to feature Ian Troy as he travels into the past to correct wrongs and find a way to bring down his father. I love that Malaq and Jarryd continue to be present for this story. They have fun personalities and really seem to balance Ian’s character at times. Like the other books in this series there is a lot of action and build up to a well thought put climax. The story is easy to follow even though it is lengthy. Don’t let the length be daunting though because there is a lot packed into this novel. I really enjoyed this final book and loved the series. It is one of my favorite series now. I highly recommend it!

Magic-Borne (The Crown of Stones, #3)Magic-Borne by C.L. Schneider
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I must confess. After I read the second book of The Crown of Stones Trilogy I knew I was hooked. I had this one, The Crown of Stones: Magic-Borne by C.L. Schnieder standing by and I started it as soon as I finished Magic Scars and read it from cover to cover. Did not do anything else till I had finished the book. It was that good. From the beginning of Ian’s story and the tremendous guilt he carries, to the dawning of his realization of what his world needs, all things come to a climax in this last book of the series. If I was to boil it all down, I would say love and sacrifice is what this book is about. Truly outstanding. There are a few steamy scenes but nothing that distracts from the core of this story. I can’t say enough good things about this story. I will be reading it again and maybe a third time. This is a book you will add to your library and come back to. I am only disappointed that this book completes the trilogy. I am ready for more adventures with Ian Troy!

An epic ending to a fantastic series.

Schneider held me captive with this story from the first page of the first book through the last page of this one. The journey I have been on with Ian Troy has just been beyond the scope of my imagination. The storyline is grand and epic. It is a fantasy world that you slip into and truly feel transported with the characters you encounter. This was the perfect ending to the series and overall just a great read. This series is going on my read again soon rotation – just that good.

Magic-Borne (The Crown of Stones, #3)Magic-Borne by C.L. Schneider
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Magic-Borne is the third and final book in C. L. Schneider’s The Crown of Stones series. It is an epic fantasy series that centres around Ian Troy, a Shinree whose fate is intertwined with that of the magical Crown of Stones.
This series has fantastic world-building. I’d definitely recommend starting at the beginning to get more of the details. There are many different races and species characters with different motivations and alliances. There is a long history that influences current and future events.
One thing that I particularly like about this series is that all magic comes at a cost. Troy, and others, do not use their powers without careful consideration – the benefits are always weighed up with the consequences. This is particularly true for Troy, whose magic usage is gradually turning him into a monster. As someone who regularly finds himself in situations when lives – his or others – are on the line, he often has to make the choice between saving lives or staving off his seemingly inevitable downfall.
I’ve really enjoyed this series. For me, this is a five star book. Fans of big fantasy series like Lord of the Rings and Eragon will love this magical, action-packed story.

Magic-Borne (The Crown of Stones, #3)Magic-Borne by C.L. Schneider
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Crown of Stones: Magic-Borne (Book 3) by C. L. Schneider. This is the final installment into this series and I’m sad for it to come to an end. It’s the story of the fate of Ian Troy. In one big swoop the resistance was gone and lives were lost and the Crown of Stones was no longer in reach for Ian. Ian has been thru so much on this long journey. He’s been knocked down, his magic stolen and betrayed by everyone. Knowing that the future is very bleak Ian tries to change events and save those that he cares about. Ian’s vision is not pretty and he’s afraid if this war keeps going the direction its heading no one will survive. This book is full of adventure, emotion and it keeps you on the seat of your chair. You do need to read the other books ahead of this one so that it will all make sense. Its a fun thrilling ride so buckle in and get ready to be hooked!

This book was an absolutely brilliant conclusion to what has been an amazing series. For most of the way through I really couldn’t decide how I thought it might end and that kept me on the edge of my seat!

The Crown of Stones: Magic-Borne by C. L. Schneider. I’m not at all sure what to say in this review because I’m so sad this is over but the author ends it amazingly. Once again this author takes readers on an exciting adventure with Ian and a whole cast of characters that pull you into their story world completely. I really enjoyed this story and am so thankful I picked it up. The characters are complex and relatable, with a story that truly came to life right before my eyes. I do strongly recommend reading these in the order intended. It’s a well written and thought out storyline and had me completely hooked. The Crown of Stones: Magic-Borne (Book 3) by C. L. Schneider – Review by Angela Hayes

Magic-Borne (The Crown of Stones, #3)Magic-Borne by C.L. Schneider
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Magic Borne is the third book in The Crown of Stone Series by C.L Schneider. This is such an intriguing and action-packed high fantasy- with adventure, magic, time travel, tragedy, sacrifice, questions, discoveries, tension, drama, originality, superb world building, suspense, and fantastic character growth and development. I definitely didn’t want to put it down till I had discovered how everything played out in the end.
This book sees the completion of Ian’s story- and what a journey it has been. Ian Troy had been through so much- and has borne the weight and price of the magic. All the pleasure, as well as the immeasurable guilt that has come with it. Ian wants a life of freedom- from slavery, suffering, and tyrannical rulers. Ian has carried a heavy burden, the hope of his people lays on his shoulders. So much hangs in the balance- and the outcome of his success. Ian has made some discoveries and finally learned what he has to do. He will need to destroy The Crown of Stones in order to free the people in the realm. Sounds pretty simple, right? But is it? And at what cost?
You really should read all the intriguing developments for yourself- it’s definitely an adventure you won’t want to miss. I really recommend reading the previous two books first, before starting this one- as those two books contain important backstory, character details, and the developments that have led to this point. So, knowing what happens in those two books will enhance your understanding, and enjoyment of this book.
I really recommend this book/series to anyone who loves an epic, action-packed fantasy!
Superb!

Thank you, Ms. Schneider!
