His Forever Muse (Book 2 of The Echo Series)His Forever Muse by C.R. Alam
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

An enjoyable and engaging romantic suspense, which kept me entertained from start to finish. I loved the second chance at romance storyline, where childhood friends become adult lovers. Calliope is a hard-working Parisian art gallerist who has gone through dark times in her life and has felt broken, but who has put herself back together again, bit by bit. Meanwhile, Brandon Rossi is the boy-next-door in a rock star package, as the front man of rock band, Canis Major, and is also Callie’s little brother’s best friend. When the pair meet up again in the middle of the desert in Morocco, he realises that she was the one who got away, and she realises she’s been in love with him since they were children. Brandon has always expressed himself through his music, but has hit an invisible wall and he can’t seem to create anymore.
Having headed off to find inspiration, once he finds Callie, she is his muse. Brandon is able to remind Callie of who she is and their connection has only intensified over the years. Their chemistry sizzles off the page, and Brandon is willing to give her everything, but she’s unsure of opening up to him, and then there’s the fact he’s her younger brothers best friend. However, ultimately it’s her past that may cause problems for the couple. A heartwarming and at times heartbreaking story, I felt fully immersed in the storyline and felt invested in the characters. The story does deal with some domestic violence themes, however these are dealt with sensitively and do give a backstory to the characters situation. It can be read as a standalone story, however, I have read and enjoyed the previous book in this series, and so would recommend them both.

His Forever Muse (Book 2 of The Echo Series)His Forever Muse by C.R. Alam
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Calliope, or Callie as her friends call her, has know Brandon since she was six years old. As her brother’s best friend Callie and Brandon used to spend a lot of time together. Growing up they enjoyed sneaking out at night to talk and gaze at the stars. As they grew older time and distance separated them and Callie and Brandon pursued their own lives. Brandon pursued his interest in art and formed a rock band. Callie has moved to Paris and pursued a career as an art gallerist.

Then one day in Morocco Callie runs into Brandon who has grown into a feast for the eyes. This is not the man she remembers and she is unable to deny the attraction she feels towards him. Brandon is in Morocco seeking inspiration for his art because he has hit a brick wall and has been struggling to come up with ideas. When the girl that got away re-enters his life Brandon feels inspired and will do anything to keep Callie from getting away again.

Callie has not had an easy life in Paris and has struggled to overcome a dark past. She has worked hard to get her life back together and overcome the trauma she suffered. Only those closest to Callie know her deep dark secrets and she is reluctant to let Brandon know. She is afraid of having that close connection with him but even more afraid that once she reveals her secrets that he will not want anything to do with her. When something sinister resurfaces from Callie’s past she has no choice but to reveal her past to Brandon. Rather than run away Brandon is determined to protect Callie at all costs. Can they truly have a future with Callie’s dark past coming into their present?

This book lured me into the storyline from the very beginning. The descriptions of buildings, characters, and landscapes were vivid and drew me into each scene as though I was standing there. The characters were wonderful, and I loved how the story came together between them. Brandon was not the typical good-looking, macho, full-of- himself Rockstar that one would expect. He had a soft side and his life focused on creativity and expression through his art, his music, and his tattoos. When he hit a brick wall he faltered and needed to find his inspiration again. That inspiration came in the form of a girl from his past that he had never forgotten. Callie was multi-faceted and had the weight of the world being carried on her shoulders with all the dark secrets that she was hiding. Suffering from the trauma of a painful past she has worked hard to overcome the demons and find the courage to move forward. Her strength is to be admired and it was easy to feel and experience the complex emotions she was struggling with. A beautiful read with romance, love, music, passion, mystery, intrigue, suspense, danger, friendship, trauma, and a rollercoaster ride of emotions.

I love how from book one to book two, they are able to work through some difficult things in their relationship. That bad boy is finally settling down, I feel like I’m best friends with both of them. I’m really hoping for another book, there’s so much to keep going!<br />

This is such an emotional friends to lovers romance. This is the second book in The Echo Series however it can be read as a standalone and still be enjoyed.
I love this author’s writing. There are sensitive issues such as domestic violence in this story and the author handles it in a way that isn’t too graphic but gives the reader just enough information to get a feel of what it is like to be in a relationship like that.
Brandon Rossi is a talented musician and artist but just recently he’s lost his mojo. There is something missing from his life but he doesn’t know what that is until he meets Calliope.

Calliope is a art gallerist. After the trauma from her past relationship which left her a broken person she had managed to rebuild herself and her life. She puts on a front of being a happy complete person but that isn’t the case. She is still broken inside and feels she will never be complete until her path crosses with Brandon again.

Their connection hasn’t go away even after all these years and this could be their chance to finally give their love a chance.
But things aren’t that simple and when Calliope’s abusive ex returns it could mean the end of their budding romance.
This is a heartbreaking and moving story about second chance love and overcoming all odds to find their happy ever after but would is Brandon strong enough to protect her and safe her from her past and the demons that still lurk?

Ok so I thought that the first book in this series was great, but the 2nd book is amazing. Brandon and Callie’s story was so wonderful. This is the best kind of friends to lovers/2nd chance type romance. The twists and turns of the story kept the pages turning and the characters kept me completely engrossed in this story. I am definitely a fan at this point. I cannot wait for the next installment of this series!

This is the second book in The Echo Series, and like the first it captivated me right away. It’s a treat to your senses with the descriptions of the locations that Brandon travelled to and his reconnecting with Callie, one of his childhood friends. It’s great to see their connection growing as they reacquaint themselves. Callie is a very strong character who has been dealt a blow several years prior. She just seems like a friend I’d love to have on my side.

The author does a marvelous job of world building and character building. The antagonist in this story is really not likable but he has a part in Callie’s experience.

I would definitely recommend reading the first book in the series. It isn’t crucial but will help connect some of the characters in the second book.

This book has so much more going on than I expected and I really enjoyed it. This book is even better than the first one and I was drawn in to the story right from the start. Callie and her past definitely intrigued me and I thought the fit of her and Brandon was done really well. I wanted to know more about both of them and enjoyed the discovery as the book developed.
I think the author has created a strong series and I am looking forward to the next book. I want to see what else is to come and will be reading more of her work in the future.

Where do I start? This novel is just as good as the first! The author does such an amazing job of bringing these characters to life. Brandon and Callie are best friends that lost connection and are brought together by fate. The lack of judgement that Brandon has toward Callie is outstanding and I believe he should be the standard for all men to look up to. He is not perfect by any means, but I absolutely love his character.

I cannot wait for the next book in the series. The writing is phenomenal and so easy to sink your teeth into. If the characters and plot are anything like the first two novels, then it will take me no time to read the third. Highly recommend! Super cozy novel with some action and suspense tied in.

Rae does her friend a favour and does an interview with a home designer , thing is when she gets there said home owner is there and he’s not very welcoming to say the least but for the sake of his sister Kay he “tolerates” his house guest for the weekend and it pays off well for Kay and him in the long run …, the very long and beautiful run …😉

Dean is a delicious and delectable speciMAN but a little jaded after being left at the altar and he’s met his match with Rae though and she gives as good as she gets and the 2 of them had me in stitches in the beginning with their banter …

Rae didn’t have the best childhood and after her mum dies her grandparents raised her so after they passed on she essentially had no family so her friends are her family and she’s especially close to Brandon and has even travelled with him and his band I really felt I could identify with Rae on a few things like the loss of her mother and her thoughts on friends being family and the fact that a man and a woman can be friends without romantic attachments ….

Dean and Rae are good together and Rae has a big heart , Dean needs to sort his “demons” Pune gore he looses the best thing that came into his life and he can thank his lucky stars for a friend like Chris and Brandon that’s so gracious and becomes a friend …..

The people working for Dean may be old but they’re wise and I just love his driver and wanted to hug him he’s a real sweetheart 🥰 all in all he had a loving tribe and his family is warm and loving and they adore Rae and they’re just what she needs ❣️I fell in love with Rae and Dean and yes I wanted to shake him a little but he does come to his sense and they have their HEA but I want to see Brandon get his HEA…… looking for to His Forever Muse

His Forever Muse finds Brandon Rossi on a journey of rediscovery when he runs into “the one that got away” while on the other side of the world. Being a lover of love and with there being 15 years to catch up on, he decides that he will do what it takes to reconnect with Callie. What he didn’t plan on was the nightmare she had previously escaped, which is now trying to overtake her life again. While a part of a series, this can be read as a standalone, and while there are some darker elements than the previous installment, the author achieves another sweet, heartfelt novel.

His Forever Muse, the second book I the Echo Series is a page- turning romance full of twists and turns that kept me hooked, from beginning to end.
Brandon Rossi and Calliope Chen-Bisset have been friends since childhood. As they grew up their lives took different paths; with ups and downs along the way. When they run into each other as adults, they pick up their friendship, as if time stood still.
I enjoyed following Brandon and Callie’s journey; from their friendship, to romance, through trials and tribulations-I did not want their story to end! I’m looking forward to more in this series.

I loved how this book was woven from the first of the Echo Series (Echoing Hearts). This story was a bit of a mystery as well.

Callie and Brandon grew up together and haven’t seen each other in years. By chance they run into each other at a resort in Africa and reconnect. Brandon had been in love with Callie when she went off to college and completely cut him out of her life. She is currently dealing with a lot in her life and tried to build up walls again, but Brandon can’t help but tear them down each time.

This is a story of perserverance, love and found family.

This book left me in all my feelings. It addresses some tough topics but does it with grace. The main characters are pretty much searching their souls to have a more fulfilled life. They haven’t talked to each other in the last 15 years. Obviously a lot can happen in 15 years and this is their journey to see if they can find the love that they both desperately need. The book will get you feeling everything the characters feel. I highly suggest that you get a box of Kleenex’s and a good comfy soft blanket. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I sat down to read this book, but the journey it took me on was one of the best that I have been on in a while. There are the hurdles that the main characters have to overcome to be together. This only helps to heighten the love story that is between them. This is the second book in the series and it does mention the characters from the first which is a great little tad-bit that I fully enjoy. I highly recommend reading this series and even though the characters are mentioned from the first book, it isn’t necessary to read the first one to understand what is going on in this one. That being said, I would highly recommend reading the first one because this series is just that good.

This book follows Callie and Brandon, childhood friends, who reunite in adulthood. This was a slow start for me and did not fully capture my attention until further in the book. I did enjoy the past scenes and getting glimpses of how Brandon and Callie were together as kids, it reminded me of my childhood crush. Brandon had such a sweet vibe to him and Callie was a bit tougher than i anticipated her being but she grew on me. She had really been through some hard things and it was nice to see her come around and open up to Brandon. I really enjoyed seeing how the characters have changed with age and how they both overcome obstacles in their own ways but end up on the same path. Overall this was a fine story to read but not a favorite for me although it does have some of my fave tropes. His Forever Muse, The Echo Series, C.R. First, let me say, while Calliope, or Callie as she’s most often called, is one of the strongest heroines I’ve read about, there are multiple conversations in this book that may be triggering for some people, as Callie has had the unfortunate experience of being in a relationship with an abusive, controlling, and manipulative person who is aided and abetted by his family along the way. While the book does NOT go into graphic detail or show most of the incidents, these conversations can still be triggering for some people, so please, PLEASE take your own mental health into consideration before reading this book.

That being said, this book was well worth the read. Callie Chen-Bisset goes through a lot, both within the confines of a romantic relationship, but also with her own family before that, and comes out stronger on the other side. She is abused mentally and physically, and comes out wanting to help others who have also been victimized by not just the same person, but others as well. Her main goal in that is to protect her daughter from the father who only wants her to try and gain the upper hand on controlling Callie. In the middle of all of this, she rediscovers a lost love from her youth unexpectedly. Brandon Rossi, was friends with Callie and her brother Curtis when they were all kids and teenagers until Curtis interferes due to his own jealousy, causing Brandon and Callie to not speak for fifteen years. When they meet again while Brandon is on a trip to try and find himself, and Callie is working with a client for her art business, they instantly feel the old attraction return. Brandon travels next to Paris where Callie lives and they begin a relationship while also trying to fight for custody of Callie’s daughter Eleanor, to protect her from her abusive father who only wants her to try and get Callie back so he can control her once again.

This book was an amazing read. C.R. did a great job bringing up topics that might be hard for some readers to read. The use of these topics makes the book that much more realistic.

This book follows Calliope and Brandon. Brandon is part of a famous band and he has a very artful soul. Calliope is a woman with a few skeletons in her closet and demons in her past. Calliope and Brandon have known each other for years. They lost touch and one day meet again while Brandon is trying to find something he lost.

The history between them is vast and plenty. Knowing each other since they were young and reconnecting later in life means they have changed quite a bit. Can the person you once knew bring back lightness to your life? Can the artist that follows their heart show the person who uses reason to live freer? Can you forget your past or will it forever haunt you?

Read this book to find out what happens with the rockstar and the girl he used to know. Learn about their stories and struggles as well.

I enjoyed reading this friends to lovers romance story. This is one of my favorites by this author. I found this book to be well developed where the author used details to make the story realistic. A story where it is full of not only romance but some suspense as well. Brandon and Calliope have known each other for most of their lives. He is her brother’s best friend and should be off limits. What happens when she runs into him in the middle of the desert? He is a steamy adult now but does that mean he is still hands off? You don’t want to miss what happens with these two. They have great growth and chemistry throughout. There is even a little suspense that you won’t see coming. This is a fast paced, hard to put down story. It is entertaining and easy to read. An engaging story that I highly recommend.

This was such a wonderful story. I fell in love with the characters pretty much straight away. The way the author write from in both the past and present made me feel like a really did know that characters and the journey of their relationship. I think it was pretty clear from the moment that they reunited that there was this amazing chemistry and connection. The author did really with the handling of some of the sensitive topics in he story. She wrote them well and there is a trigger warning from her.
Brandon was a really lovely character and I loved how protective he was of Callie.
Callie is one of those characters who you just instantly take to, she has overcome so much in her past, she had such strength and resilience and I could tell how much she wanted Brandon but was really struggling to let go and move on with her life.
I highly recommend this book and I am certainly looking forward to reading more from this author.

Brandon Rossi decides to travel a bit trying to find some inspiration. He is part of the rock band, Canis Major and needs a break from the fast paced life he has been leading. Seeing his close friend Rae settle down has had him question when he will find the same happiness. He doesn’t expect to run into Calliope Chen-Bisset again though.

Calliope was shocked to see Brandon again, she realized it was inevitable that at some point they might run into one another again. Close childhood friends and band mate to her brother, she is filled with mixed emotions about it. After an incident she was essentially pushed out from her family, her close friends. Her life has been rocky but she has held her head high and she is now a Parisian art gallerist.

The more Brandon spends time with Calliope the more he knows he wants to build upon it. Brandon also realizes Calliope needs time to agree to it. When her past wont let her go though, Brandon pulls out the stops to keep her protected.

This story was wonderful. It goes between past and present and I felt so much for Calliope. Brandon we got to know in the first book and he continues to be one of my favorite characters so far in this series. Terrific second book in the series.

Callie has some things from her past that haunt her, which motivates her to help others. I really liked how sweet Brandon was with her. These two have a journey that can be challenging at times but I was very happy with the ending. The other does a great job with her writing and pulls you right in. My emotions were all over the place. This can be read as a stand alone but I suggest reading from the start. If you’re looking for a great read, 1-click and get started today. I look forward to reading more from this series and author.

Rae and Dean are two whirlwind of people. There worlds collide when they meet in Georgia. Dean swore off females after his fiancé left him at the altar. Rae doesn’t believe in love after watching her mother battle depression. The descriptions the author gives is stunning. I cannot wait for another book! I need more!!!

This book was amazing. It is the first book I have read from this author and cannot wait to read more. The story of Dean and Ras was never ending. It is a happily-ever-after story. I could not set it down. It captures your heart. I was even crying at the end. I highly recommend this author!!!
