The Victor (The Freemasons #1)The Victor by Nicole Flockton
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 Stars! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This book had me all in right from the beginning….and this author is one of my favorites. A second chance romance with loss, grief, love and definite hot tender moments.

Cole wants his wife back, Ava feels differently and wants a divorce. When Ava approaches Cole about a divorce so she can “move on”….Cole denies her request. Instead, Cole fights for what he wants and that he wants Ava back….and in order to try he proposes that Ava is to help and be project lead as his even planner for a big charity event. Working closely together and arranging to live together again, will Ava’s feeling about a divorce still hold true….as so much cooped up feelings of grief, guilt, loss and sadness have evaded them both?

This story was wonderful and flowed to easily as I turned each page. Cole and Ava stole my heart in this story…two beautifully broken people trying to find each other again and open up……..and I love them together.

I picked up this book in hopes of starting a whole new series and I can happily say, I will be reading the rest!

This book was a ride! There is almost 2 stories happening. The biggest one being the reunion of Cole and Ava after a tragic event in the beginning of their marriage. It truly was a reminder how important communication is in a relationship.

The second story in the book is where we start to learn about the mission the four friends are on as part of the freemasons.

I am quickly becoming a fan of this new and upcoming author. When I first discovered her I read the back of one of her books and thought I might enjoy it so I tried it on a whim. Boy oh boy I was I right. Since then I have instantly devoured every book of hers that I can find. Her writing style is fresh and unique, her character development is amazing, and the romance is out of this world. In this book we follow Ava and Cole and I just couldn’t tear myself away. I related to Ava a lot and really felt myself get pulled into her story and her relationship with Cole. This book has everything a romance lover could want and then some for the glitz and glam, to the second chances, and the overall plot this story was just perfect.

This is the second book in this particular series from this wonderful author and I have to say I am totally hooked and can’t wait to read more. It can be read as a stand alone but I recommend reading the series from the start simply because it is that damn good! You really don’t want to miss a thing. This book brings Dominic, the Master of the Lodge and Gemma, a journalist, together and to say it is fiery is an understatement! Their chemistry is off the charts!! They are both Alphas really and that makes for interesting reading for sure! As I have said before, there is a very fascinating storyline threaded through this book that I believe threads through the entire series and I can’t wait to see where it will take us.

The Hunter (The Freemasons, #2)The Hunter by Nicole Flockton
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Hunter by Nicole Flockton is book two in the Freemasons series. This story was much darker than the first. Dominic has such a sense of mystery and domineering nature about him. And Gemma both intrigues and frustrates him. Gemma is a reporter and is trying to dig up information on Dominic’s Freemason Lodge. Though she doesn’t actually have any information on them. Dominic convinces (but not really) his friends that he’s only getting close to Gemma to find out what she’s up to. Little did he realize he’d start to fall for her. I loved these two together. The perfect mix of not supposed to be together and trying to be. This book had a lot more depth than book one and honestly I loved it! Finding out more of the story of the Lodges secret and getting a better feel of the guys in the Fab Four. Very excited to read book 3!

This is the 3rd book of the series and was the most action packed. There is so much passion behind what this group of men do and it’s a neverending battle. Jude and Sienna had to overcome their duty in order to be together. I really like how this book touches real life issues, while they are heartbreaking it’s a minimal taste of things that happen more often than not. I have really, really enjoyed following this series and look forward to Declan and Jenna’s story. Jenna has been a character from the beginning but I have a feeling I will get to know her much more in the next book.

I really liked that I chose to continue this series. The first book pulled my heart strings to say the least but this one was full of much more. It wasn’t a cut and dry love story there was more drama and love to it. Gemma and Dominic. Toreso is what he calls her and it just fits as he describes it in the end. I am definitely ready for the next one on Jude and to see if they find his sister as well as his own love story.

The Victor (The Freemasons #1)The Victor by Nicole Flockton
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Victor by Nicole Flockton is book one in the Freemasons series. Getting a divorce is the only thing on Ava’s mind. Cole doesn’t love her, he’s never said it. This was a shotgun wedding and she’s all wrong for him. Cole is blindsided by the sight of his wife and her demand for a divorce. He doesn’t want it, he loves her. They had a rough patch and neither handled it together with the other. They both dealt in silence which put a huge gap between them. But now, Cole has the opportunity to have her help him with a gala for the Freemasons he’s a part of. It’s an easy way for him to slip her back into his life. But will it work? I liked their chemistry. They really seemed to want to be together but needed to get over their hurdle. I’n interested in this mysterious mission the Lodge is a part of and hope to find out more in the next story.

I have been a fan of this captivating series since the first book installment in the series. Each one, I swear just keeps getting better and better! I can never put these books down, and this one so far is my favorite!

Loved this one and all the suspense it held. Greatly liked Jude, and how much his sister meant to him. Sienna was awesome too! She saw something in Jude that he could not even see himself. I loved how much they grew to care for one another, as well as relied on each other. Not just for safety, but for comfort and trust. I was very mesmerized by their story. The moments they shared, stuck with me, and I could not let go. The series captivates me and every book amazes me more and more! Loved this book installment!

Amazing series by an author that knows how to write a perfect book, literally. I highly recommend this book, author and series! All are a must read for sure! The series and this book are impossible to put down!

Ava Vaughan has had enough with her husband Cole Jacobs. She wants to end their marriage. But when Cole says No! She is shocked and wants to know why? It’s not a big request, as Ava loves planning fundraisers. This was a real tear jerker, as I was not expecting to fall so deeply into Ava and Cole’s story. The story is fast paced and keeps you reading and wanting more. The author is among my favorites. So I have read many of her books and she never disappoints. Her characters were lacking communication which she remedies in the end. I love a good second chance romance story. This is all of that.

Gemma & Dominic are a pair that just can’t deny the chemistry. They want to but can’t. He runs The Lodge. She’s an entertainment reporter looking into her father’s death which she blames on him and his 3 buddies. Oh, let the drama begin. She has a grudge and threatens Dominic. He is just out to protect his investments and secrets. This enemy relationship slowly moves into friendship and more. An entertaining book that also covers some deep subjects such as sex trafficking. I loved watching the relationship develop between Gemma and Dom. Gemma is pretty independent and learns it’s okay to ask for help. Dom has to learn to let the walls down. The storyline will touch all your emotions as Ava and Cole are in it as well. They share news. A quick and adventurous read. The suspense pulls you in. I couldn’t put it down. You had to know what happens. I love this series. I can’t wait to read Jude’s adventures in the next book.

4 out of 5 stars for me because it brings back the memories of when my voice was not there and it was always what my boyfriend wanted.
They say if you really love someone let them go and if they don’t come back it was never yours but if they do come back it was meant to be. That is exactly what Cole thought about Ava. He thought to play it by her rules and see where this will go because he was not ready and Ava had it with him. The game is to win it or to lose it forever but she was ready to throw in the towel until Cole had a game plan. Love will always find its way back up to the surface.

Hot on the heels of The Victor is The Hunter the second book in the The Freemasons series. Nicole has given us a delicious enemy to lover’s contemporary romance tale that is steamy and sexy and is full of fiery passion and angst, age old secrets and lies, lurking danger and mystery. I loved the characters, their banter and their hard-won feelings.

Dominic will stop at nothing to keep the secrets of the Freemasons just that – secrets even seduction at its finest of one pesky journalist that could threaten to destroy it all.

Gemma is bound and determined to find out what happened to her father even if it means exposing a secret society older that time.

I look forward to book 3.

This was a great 5 star read.
Gemma is on a mission to get some answers. But when she meets Dominic, sparks fly and he is such a charmer. Dominic finds some things out about the mysterious Gemma. What exactly is she up to? Will Gemma get what she is looking for? Can she keep her heart out of it?

Overall this was a great read. I liked both characters very much. Dominic was a hot alpha male, he always seems to get what he wants. Gemma is great, she challenged Dominic and was strong herself. The chemistry between these two came off the pages. I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what was coming next. I look forward to reading the next book in the series. The Victor (The Freemasons #1)The Victor by Nicole Flockton
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Ava and Cole have been living separate lives for the last six months. She has returned to the city to ask him for one last thing…a divorce. She believes it is time to put their marriage behind them. The last thing she expects is for him to say “no”. Why would he not agree to this? Doesn’t he see that she doesn’t fit in his world and the reason they married in the first place is longer an issue?

Cole is shocked to see his wife at an event after she walked away six months ago…and even more shocked with what she is asking him for. He was serious when he said his vows…and now needs to find a way to make Ava see that. Having her plan the Freemasons event is a way to get her around him on a daily basis…but will she want to stay when it’s over? And…when these two really start talking…will they be able to overcome the obstacles that prevented their marriage from working out the first time around?

I enjoyed both Ava and Cole’s characters. After what they have been through, I can see how pulling away from each other was a way to heal…but a lot was left unsaid and unaddressed in those six months. When six months of held-in frustrations and grief come to the surface, they are forced to deal with those feelings before they can even think about moving forward. They were going through marital issues that a lot of couples face and it made it feel that more real. I read the whole story in one sitting and enjoyed it.

This is book 2 in The Freemasons series. Even though it is part of a series these books can be read as a standalone which I love.
Wow where to start with this story. This is definately a book for you if you like alpha males with an equally alpha female. The chemistry between them both literally flys off the page. This is an enemies to lover romance so it is full of secrets and lies but the attraction cannot be denied.

Dominic is part of the brotherhood of the Freemasons. He has vowed to protect the brotherhood from any dangers including their secrets being revealed. What he didn’t expect was danger to come in the form of a female. Now he must do everything he can to protect the brotherhood even if that means seducing and distracting the woman investigating them. But when did trying to seduce and distract turn into an attraction he can’t deny?

Gemma is a journalist, so when her father dies in strange circumstances she goes on the hunt to discover the reason behind his death. What she doesn’t expect is Dominic trying to get in the way of her finding out the truth. And as things between them become more serious what will happen if she ever really gets to the bottom of what happened to her father. Could it be one secret and lie too many or will their connection be strong enough for to move on?

When Ava approached Cole for a divorce, she thinks it will be easy as anything. They got married quickly when she got pregnant but, haven’t been living together in quite a while. Cole doesn’t give in as easy as she thought. Instead, Cole ends up hiring her requesting her help planning an event that’s very important. The only catch is, he has no plans to
Give in to her demand of a divorce. He will use this time of her working closely with him to make her realize, he still loves her and his vows meant something to him. Marriage is forever. Did I mention he has her living with him during this arrangement ? I thought the book was a great read, held my attention and I loved the characters.

I went into this story not really knowing much. I didn’t really read the blurb or anything. The story is written in third person. It was pretty fast paced and gave you a good story. The biggest thing I took away from this story is that communication is big in relationships. I could relate to some of the things that happened in both Ava and Cole’s life. There was a section when Ava tells Cole something that was hard from over the months that brought me to shed a couple of tears as if I heard someone say those words to me. By the time I got to the end I was so happy it ended with an HEA but I do wonder about Cole’s friends.

When Gemma’s father passes away under mysterious circumstances she fires up her investigative skills to find who was responsible. What was so secret that he had to die? Dominic Cacciari will do anything to keep Gemma from spilling the secrets of the Freemasons. There are things that should remain secrets from outsiders. I enjoyed how the characters brought the story to life. They pulled me into their story with ease and held my attention to the end. There is great chemistry and growth throughout. A story where love and protection could be blurred together. What happens when those lines are crossed? This was an enjoyable and engaging second chance at love story, which had me happily turning the pages. All Ava Vaughan wants from her husband is a divorce, and as they have been separated from each other for the last six months, she’s surprised when he says no. Cole Jacobs has spent the last six months hoping that his wife, Ava will return to him. Cole had no intention of loosing his wife and intends to stay married to her, so when she demands a divorce, he proposes a deal instead. Cole asks Ava to use her skills as an event planner to help him organise an important fundraiser, and then he will agree to a divorce. However, Cole intends to work closely with Ava on the fundraiser and as the couple work together their buried feelings resurface. Both Cole and Ava have to face the reasons why their marriage fell apart and decide if it can be rescued. This was a heartwarming story with wonderful characters, in a lovely setting. Ava and Cole were particularly easy to feel engaged with and I was hoping they would get their HEA.

Well hello Mr. Sexy!!!
The Hunter is the second captivating book in The Freemasons series by Nicole Flockton. It is a wonderful enemies to lovers contemporary romance- with mystery, intensity, chemistry, danger, banter, secrets, tension, and finding love unexpectedly.
Book Two in the series definitely doesn’t let the team down! Giving Alpha Male hotness with a strong female lead to keep him on his toes. Gemma’s father died under suspicious circumstances, and her journalistic instincts can smell a story a mile off. She is determined to get to the bottom of her father’s mysterious death- and that leads her right to the Freemasons.
Dominic is on a mission to keep the nosy reporter from uncovering any of the organisation’s secrets. That means keeping her close. Add some steamy chemistry, a whole lot of secrets, and perilous danger- and we get a story that won’t let you put it down. Meaning I devoured the book in one sitting! On to Book #3…
Happy Reading!

The Victor is the first book in The Freemasons series by Nicole Flockton. It is a moving second chance contemporary romance with a forced proximity element, past history, heartache, buried feelings, a marriage on the rocks, angst, push-pull, angst, miscommunication, separation, secrets, and how true love really can overcome anything.
This is a wonderful start to what looks to be a superb series. I can’t wait to jump into the second book asap, and the best news is the whole series is available to read NOW- happy dance. No waiting…. WOOT!!!
It appears that each book in the series will focus on a different couple, but with a recurring cast. Meaning four books, from what I can tell…. And did I mention our four leading men are Freemasons- which adds an extra layer of intrigue and mystique to the whole shebang.
Cole and Ava have been separated for the past 6 month. She wants a divorce, but he intends to win her back. Will he succeed, or is this really the end? Will Cole be willing to do what it takes to prove his love and commitment to Ava? And most importantly, will Ava even consider giving him a chance to try to rekindle their love- or is it all a case of ‘too little-too late? The story is definitely worth the read to find out. But prepare for your emotions to be released.
Happy Reading!

Thank you, Nicole Flockton!

This is the beginning of a series, it has a little build up to what you think is going to be a big conflict but the only conflict in this story is the decision the male and female leads have to make on whether or not to stay together. Cole and Ava had a very rocky start to their marriage can they find their way back to one another?
Hopefully the next few books in the series have a lot more depth and they address the conflict that was just hinted at in this first book of the series. Otherwise this was good readd.

The Hunter: An Enemies to Lovers Romance (The Freemasons Book #2) by Nicole Flockton

This isn’t the first book I’ve read by the author. The author sure knows how to keep readers coming back to her. I absolutely loved this book. Enemies to lovers has always been a favorite of mine. The Hunter is the second book in The Freemasons Series.

Dominic is the leader of the Freemasons and he’s trying to figure out why Gemma wants to take down Freemasons. Then he finds her at a party she wasn’t invited to. How will things work out for him when he finds himself falling for her? The quote I chose for Dominic is: “Doesn’t matter what you want, Gemma Hughes. You’re coming with me. End of story.”

Gemma goes to the party for one thing and one thing only. Take down the Freemasons. She knows she might lose her job over this, but it’s a risk worth taking. Then she runs into the one person she didn’t want to see. The quote I chose for Gemma is: “Well, it seems awfully convenient you happen to have a key to a hotel room. Plus, it looked like you were going solo tonight. Why is that? Dominic Cacciari is never without some brainless woman hanging off his arm.”

Highly recommended for Contemporary Romance lovers.
